Paula Deen has been laying low following her now-infamous racism scandal, which saw Food Network axe her show and her biggest sponsors cut ties with her. At least one star wants to boost her comeback, however. Dancing With the Stars’ Cheryl Burke says Deen would make a great contestant, and that coming on board the ABC hit would help her image rehab. “I think that you’d probably see a different side of her and I think she would be a great addition to the cast,” the pro ballroom dancer told ET Canada. “Doing something light and fun would be good for her.” Interestingly enough, Paula Deen had apparently been invited to join Dancing With the Stars back in 2010, but the queen of comfort food recipes declined. “They did ask me and I said no,” she told Extra then. “Fat girls don’t look good sweating!” Since then, however, things have changed. Instead of the tried and true Paula Deen recipes , she has embraced a healthier lifestyle and lost weight. In addition to dropping 40 pounds, she’s been dropped by so many corporate partners that a stint on DWTS might be just the ticket to turning things around. If you were wondering where every single hot babe on the planet was last night, well they were at The 2013 ESPY Awards. So make sure to check out all the amazing pictures. My personal favorite, Marisa Miller . Damn, that’s one spectacular dress!
Cheryl Burke is so uneventful even in her bikini…because every professional dancer who is not a stripper….you know who didn’t fail at being a professional dancer and end up as a Pussycat Doll or coach on Dancing with the Stars, or in a Vegas show….is a dancer I want nothing to do with….cuz the professional dancer’s turned strippers cuz all else failed possess a certain depression and desperation….while putting on a fantastic stage show…you know they thought was destined for Broadway…but that now is just killed their spirits, robbed their souls and left emptiness in their eyes…but at least they keep on performing cuz as a profession the show must go on…and they get that… But here’s Cheryl Burke….a mom….in her bikini….living the life of luxury and not just because she’s escorting….like she should be…but because she’s a money maker of her own….what the fuck.
A slew of recently announced changes to Instagram’s terms and conditions have sent celebrities and regular folks alike running for the virtual exits. Instagram, which was bought by Facebook earlier this year, is under heavy scrutiny for its new usage agreement … in which users sign over everything. Basically, big bad corporate parent Facebook is co-opting all Instagram’s content … so many pantsless Rihanna photos will soon be company property. The user soon must agree, by posting photos on Instagram: “That a business or other entity may pay us to display your username, likeness, photos (along with any associated metadata), and/or actions you take, in connection with any paid or sponsored content or promotions, without any compensation to you.” This policy shift has left tons of users PISSED. White Collar star Tiffani Thiessen, for one: “Really sad to have to end my luv 4 @instagram. Will be deleting my account due 2 their ridiculous new terms.” DWTS’ Cheryl Burke, for two: “Can’t believe Instagrams new policy! They r allowed 2 use ALL of ur images in advertising. Will be erasing my account shortly.” The new terms of use do not go into effect until January 16; Instagram fans have until then to either delete their accounts or sign their photos away. What. A. Shocker. Coming off an evening in which two couples earned perfect 30s on Dancing with the Stars , the ABC competition went ahead and eliminated one of those tandems last night. Wait… what?!? The results show kicked off with the three lowest-scoring duos from Monday – Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke, and Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy – all being deemed safe. It then came down to Apolo Ohno and Sabrina Bryan as the pair of celebrities on the chopping block, despite their dazzling routines only 24 hours earlier. And, in the end, Bryan got the boot. Said the singer upon learning the news: “I’m grateful for this experience and Dancing With the Stars has been honestly an absolute dream. Thank you guys so much… I did my absolute best.” WOW. You tell us, THGers: Did the right couple go home? Yes, but they had a great run! No, they just achieved a perfect score! View Poll »
I don’t really know who Cheryl Burke and Kelly Monaco are…I just know they have something to do with Dancing with the Stars…but more importantly…they are rocking out at Malibu beach house I haven’t been invited to because no one likes me – I like to think it is because they fear I will drink all their liquor, lick all their women, snort all their cocaine, and they are probably right, but they are in Malibu, rich and can afford me, and that’s why they should re-work that strategy….I mean sure I’m no Cheryl Burke or Kelly Monaco…writing that just depressed me….I must stop this post now….and burry myself in being irrelevant…because I don’t even know who they are. Here are ‘Dancing With The Stars’ contestants Cheryl Burke , Kelly Monaco and Kym Johnson on Malibu Beach. I guess Kelly is the only one who is confident enough to actually show her body in a bikini and not cover up. Good for her. Cheryl and Kym, who are professional dancers, need to be put in their place. There is no excuse! Fame must have gone to their booties.
One point separated first-place Katherine Jenkins from William Levy and Donald Driver at the end of Monday’s Dancing With the Stars performances . Each finalist earned another 30 from one more routine on Tuesday’s finale, but the votes were in, and that Mirror Ball already had one name on it. That name was Donald Driver. The Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver was named the winner of the 14th season, making pro Peta Murgatroyd a first-time champion. “Amazing! This is awesome!” Donald said when asked how he felt. His competitors, not surprisingly, took their defeat in stride, and with class. William and Cheryl Burke finished in third place. “It was an amazing experience,” said the Cuban actor. “I thank you guys for all you have done for us.” “I’m going to miss all of you guys, I love you!” Jenkins and Mark Ballas were the runners-up. Donald Driver & Peta Murgatroyd – Freestyle (DWTS Week 10) “Thank you so much, Mark, you’ve been… I can’t put into words how much I’ve loved this,” the ever-gracious Katherine Jenkins said in defeat. “And thank you to everybody who’s had me on the show. It’s been an absolute dream, thank you.” “Congratulations, my man,” Mark Ballas said. Driver’s win makes eight for men in 14 seasons. Donald is also the third NFL pro to win after Emmitt Smith and Hines Ward, last season’s champ. What do you think? Did Donald deserve it?
Levy earned a perfect score on Monday night’s show; two contestants will be eliminated tonight. By Kelley L. Carter Cheryl Burke and William Levy Photo: ABC Tuesday night’s (May 8) telecast of “Dancing With the Stars” will eliminate two celebrities, so the heat was on during Monday night’s performances. And for the most part, the dancers delivered. The remaining six couples did their requisite ballroom dance and then had to come back and dance in groups of three for the second dance, which also was scored. At the top of the list was Latin soap star and heartthrob William Levy and his partner Cheryl Burke, who earned an impressive perfect score for their foxtrot. The judges thought the pair was sexy and the epitome of perfection. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba told them that their performance was “like a superhot, sexy Pink Panther.” Hard-to-please head judge Len Goodman told Levy, “There was care in technique and flare in the movement!” They scored 30/30, which was added to their second dance’s score for a grand total of 57/60. Here’s how the others fared: Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower The young Disney star danced the foxtrot, and unlike in previous weeks, the judges were thoroughly impressed — and it showed in how they scored the youngest couple in the competition. Bruno Tonioli told Fegan that watching him dance was like watching a young Mickey Rooney. He added that they were like “the sweetest of sweethearts. What you’ve done in a week is incredible.” 29/30 plus the second dance score: 56/60. Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd The NFL star tangoed with his pro partner, and the judges loved how he aggressively attacked the performance. Inaba said that she wanted a bit more dramatic flair but ultimately thought that Driver was “in the zone!” 27/30 for a total of 55/60. Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas The opera singer danced the Viennese waltz, and the former judges’ favorite didn’t impress them all that much this week. Still, they applauded her for her lines, while noting her mess-ups. Inaba told her, “You lost your balance. You weren’t on your footing.” 26/30 for a total of 55/60. Maria Menounos and Derek Hough The TV host danced the Viennese waltz, and the judges praised her so much that she was driven to tears. In particular, Tonioli’s comment that the performance was “heavenly fluidity” made her cry. Between wiping away tears, Menounos said, “I love this dance and I love the music. And I love dancing with him, ” referring to Hough. 28/30 for a total of 53/60. Melissa Gilbert and Maks Chmerkovskiy The actress did the foxtrot, and the judges said that her spotty footwork was worth noting. Still, Tonioli thought she kept it together more so than she has for any other performance this season. 27/30 for a total of 51/60. Following tonight’s double elimination, only four couples will be left to compete on the show next week.
