And the Grammy for Best Nude Artist Goes to….

2010 was a banner year for cleavage at the Grammys, as the ladies of the music biz charitably showed off their chest clefts. Performers included XXXtina Aguilera , busting out of a slinky black gown, and Katy Perry , whose gigantic 32DD milk jugs deserve their own Grammy for Best Male Tent-Pitching Performance. Lady Gaga , freakishly sexy as always, walked away with the award for Best Female Pop Vocal. Despite her penchant for perturbing her audience with her fashion choices (remember the literal meat curtains she sported at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards?), Gaga rarely exposes her hoo-ha. Fans are left searching for unguarded moments of nip slip, like in her Alejandro video. But luckily, the Grammy for Best Nude Artist has some stiff competition…

50 Cent Explains Why His Dog Is Named Oprah

Curtis Jackson recently appeared on Conan O’Brien’s talk show to discuss his snow removal job in Queens during the snowstorm, his wireless headphone line, his comedic Twitter posts and the reason he named his dog Oprah and his cat Gayle. “At first I thought Oprah Winfrey didn’t like Hip-Hop, so I didn’t like her and I hadn’t had a chance to meet her, so I felt it was wrong to hate someone that you hadn’t had a chance to meet. So I bought the dog, so now I love Oprah…She listens to me and everything,” 50 explained. 50 also talked about his run-ins with the real Gayle King and his subliminal flirting with her. He claims that when he grows his facial hair he can pull the older ones. Check out 50 all suited up on Conan at HipHopWired.com

F*ck This Guy: Mark Buehrle And Wife “Hoped Michael Vick Got Hurt” This Season

What part of the game is THIS??? We know some people are never going to forgive Mike Vick, but you wanna wish evil on him…COTdamn! Mark Buehrle, a Chicago White Sox pitcher and animal rights activist, does not believe Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has been fully punished for his felony conviction for bankrolling and partaking in a dogfighting ring in 2007. “He had a great year and a great comeback, but there were times where we watched the game, and I know it’s bad to say, but there were times where we hope he gets hurt,” Buehrle told MLB.com in a recent interview. “Everything you’ve done to these dogs, something bad needs to happen to these guys.” The story, which was published on Wednesday, centered around the animal rights work Buehrle does with wife Jamie. Sometime after being posted, the comments were edited out of the text and a note was attached: “This story was not subject to the approval of Major League Baseball or its clubs.” The writer, Scott Merkin, also posted the quotes on his Twitter account, but the tweets were later deleted. We hope something happens to you too, f*ck-boy… Source

Mastodon: Watch The Trailer For Mastodon’s ‘Live At The Aragon’

Read this article:

As someone who has seen Mastodon in concert, I can attest to the fact it should not have taken this long for them to release a live CD/DVD. Their crushing jams are made that much more menacing in a live setting and they tend to bring along some pretty interesting visuals. That was especially true for their tour in support of Crack The Skye , which brought them to the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago on… Broadcasting platform : YouTube Source : prefixmag Discovery Date : 08/02/2011 15:45 Number of articles : 2

B.o.B’s ‘Nothin’ On You’: From Near-Miss To Grammy Nominee

Record of the Year contender almost didn’t make its way to B.o.B. By James Montgomery B.o.B Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images Perhaps the most remarkable thing about B.o.B’s “Nothin’ On You” was not its chart-topping success, its earnestness or the fact that it served as an introductory course in two of the year’s biggest artists. It’s the fact that the song wasn’t meant for B.o.B at all. Yes, before the song — which is nominated for three Grammys , including Record of the Year — found its way to B.o.B, it was originally intended for Lupe Fiasco. Seems the folks at Atlantic Records felt that it would be a perfect fit for the Chicago MC, and they insisted that its producers, the Smeezingtons, send it their way. But, as fate would have it, one of the men responsible for shaping B.o.B’s career intervened. And the rest was history. “I was actually working on a session in Chung King [Studios], and [Atlantic Records chairman] Craig Kallman called me during that session with that particular track to work on it for Lupe Fiasco,” Jim Jonsin, who signed B.o.B to his Rebel Rock imprint, told MTV News in May. “I told Craig, ‘I like the song a lot. It’s a smash and could be somebody’s single. But it’s not Lupe’s record. I need this record for B.o.B. Please give this record to B.o.B.’ I guess they went through whoever they went through, convinced whoever they needed to, and it got to B.o.B.” Turns out, Jonsin’s instincts were right. “Nothin’ On You” found its way to B.o.B, and would head to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in May 2010, where it stayed for two consecutive weeks. Bouyed by the success of the single, B.o.B’s debut record, The Adventures of Bobby Ray, would open at #1 on the albums chart, and 2010 officially had its first breakout hip-hop star. And if the whole situation seems a bit, well, magical, you’re not alone. Seems that even the Smeezingtons — Bruno Mars, Phillip Lawrence and Ari Levine — were shocked by the fortuitous series of events that led to “Nothin’ ” topping the charts, and they admitted as much to MTV News. “Me and Phil always had that hook,” said Mars, who, of course, used the song to launch his own successful solo career . “So one day, our other partner … Ari, he walked into the studio and said he programmed the drums [over]. It had this old-school hip-hop beat. I said, ‘Gimme the piano,’ and that was the first thing I started playing. Magically, that melody worked with this track we were doing.” Of course, B.o.B would go on to score more hits on his own — the ubiquitous “Airplanes,” his duet with Paramore’s Hayley Williams chief among them — one could argue that without the success of “Nothin’ On You,” none of those achievements would have been possible. You can chalk all of it up to magic, but, as he heads into Sunday’s 53rd Grammy Awards, B.o.B prefers to give credit to the song’s sweet-natured sincerity, which connected with fans in a way a lot of songs just don’t. And, really, he’s right about that too. “Introducing B.o.B or Bobby Ray, it takes more than one song to do it,” he said. “But I feel like this song is really genuine and really sincere, so I feel good about people finding out about me through ‘Nothin’ On You.’ ” Are you rooting for “Nothin’ On You” to win Record of the Year at the Grammys? Lesbian babe Amber Heard Joins Cast of NBC pilot Playboy

Mr. Skin Hall-of-Famer and avowed muff-diver Amber Heard , who has done great nudity in Friday Night Lights , Alpha Dog , The Informers , and The Joneses , is set to star in the upcoming network series pilot Playboy . Picked up by NBC early last month, Playboy will be an hour-long drama set in the 1960s heyday of Playboy clubs that popped up in Chicago, New York, and other major cities around the country. Frankly (and spankly) it sounds a lot like the 1985 TV movie A Bunny’s Tale , starring Kirstie Alley and based on the experiences of 70s feminist icon and professional ball-buster Gloria Steinem . This is all well and good, but it’s time for Amber to return to the more skin-permissive medium of R-rated movies and explore her newfound taste for tuna tacos on the big screen. Heard is still the word!
