We’re all for anything that will help get these sick bastids off the streets Google Develops Database To Help Law Enforcement Fight Child Sex Images On The Internet Via NBCNews Internet giant Google announced plans Saturday to build a database of encrypted child freak flicks images to “enable companies, law enforcement and charities to better collaborate on detecting and removing these images, and to take action against the criminals” producing and sharing them. Google is developing the database to be shared with other tech and Internet companies to extend the reach of its newfound anti-child freaky pics efforts. While tech companies (like Google) individually take action against child freak flicks, Google’s plan is to help all relevant organizations streamline their efforts work by allowing all of them to contribute to the same database and build on one another’s work rather than repeating it. “We’re in the business of making information widely available, but there’s certain ‘information’ that should never be created or found,” Jacquelline Fuller, director of Google Giving, wrote in a blog post announcing Google’s new initiative. “We can do a lot to ensure it’s not available online — and that when people try to share this disgusting content they are caught and prosecuted.” To better locate the offending content, Google is using a pre-existing technology known as “hashing,” which essentially allows the company to tag images with unique identification codes that can then be reported or blocked by other companies when locating a duplicate image somewhere else on the social Web. Google’s announcement came less than a week about prominent British politicians such as Prime Minister David Cameron urged tech companies to use their “extraordinary technical abilities” to curb what they described as the current proliferation of Internet child freak flicks. Google said that it plans to have the entire database up and running in a year. Along with the new database, the company also announced on Saturday that it is donating $5 million to global child protection organizations, including the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the Internet Watch Foundation. Google also announced a $2 million Child Protection Technology Fund to help combat child pedo presence online. Where Are Your Parents? Hopefully not chopping down your friends! Via Mail Online reports : An 11-year-old boy in New Zealand has fathered a child with the 36-year-old mother of his schoolfriend. The revelation has prompted sexual abuse counsellors to call for a reform in the country’s r@pe laws after details of the case first emerged when the boy informed the principal at his school, in South Auckland. The schoolboy and the baby are now both believed to be in care and Justice Minister Judith Collins has said she will look into present legislation which makes it impossible for a woman to be accused of r@pe. She said the case raised an ‘important point’, adding: ‘I will seek advice from officials on whether or not a law change is required,’ The Weekend Herald has reported. The current law states only a man can be accused of r@pe when they force sex. Women who have sex without consent can be charged with sexual violation. Both carry a maximum sentence of 20 years. Child Youth and Family confirmed it was dealing with a case at the school which was going before the courts. The paper has reported the boy approached his principal about two-thirds of the way through the 2012 school year. The contact is understood to have started in April last year when the boy and his friend took a day off school. They spent the day at the friend’s home where the woman gave the boy alcohol and took part in a sexual encounter with him. It is understood the contact lasted for a number of months and the boy had turned 12 by the time the child was born. A CYF worker, who has since retired, told the paper the agency was involved in the case, adding the police would also be making inquiries, although the woman denied the sexual contact. Ken Clearwater, manager of Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse, said if the allegations were true the woman should be held accountable, adding the gender-dependent laws should be changed. Meanwhile, family lawyer Jeremy Sutton said the boy would not have rights to the child unless he was present at birth and that he would have to make a case for access. Sarah Palin blasted comedian Bill Maher on Twitter recently after learning of a slur he directed at her special needs son, Trig Palin. Via HuffPo reports: The Las Vegas Review-Journal relayed background Wednesday on the apparent incident from last Saturday, which saw former local TV personality Ron Futrell get escorted out of Maher’s show for criticizing the host’s decision to call the child “retarded.” Palin’s first tweet was of a Breitbart report on the same events that occurred, followed by two comments aimed directly at Maher. Plenty of favors, both formal and sexual—but mostly sexual—are exchanged in this week’s Mad Men , lending the episode its title: “Favors.” Don does all he can to help the Rosens’ son Mitchell from entering prison for draft evasion. All in the hopes, of course, of Syliva returning the favor. Ted ends up doing the bulk of the favor, asking a friend to give Mitchell a relatively harmless pilot position. Mrs. Campbell’s male caretaker may or may not be offering her some sexual favors of his own. And of course…Sylvia returns the favor. But “Favors” is less about the favors themselves, and more about the motives behind the favors. So many of our favorite Mad Men characters are supremely selfish, with only brief moments of compassion or consideration. It makes us wonder what’s in it for them. We’ve already discussed Don’s motives. He’s clearly not over Sylvia. He wants to help Mitchell so that he can get her to talk to him again; so that he’ll be seen as the hero. Ted is one of the only “compassionate by default” characters on the show, making his favor more of a reflex than a cunning strategy. He agrees to help Don help Mitchell with very little hesitation—and this, after Don nearly destroyed a dinner with Chevy by “testing the waters” on their willingness to help, given their large military contract. Only after his initial willingness does Ted realize he can use the situation to get a little something out of Don. What does he want out of Don? Just for him to be a better partner; pay attention, stop subtly competing. The most interesting motive reveal of all this episode comes from the frustratingly enigmatic Bob. We get our first real glimpse into who Bob is and what he’s after with a perplexing scene between him and Pete. After hearing that the caretaker may be taking advantage of Pete’s Mom, Bob, who recommended him, gives a long impassioned speech about how loving a man can make you feel lively, ending with a subtle-ish come-on to Pete. That Bob is homosexual would not be particularly shocking or groundbreaking—especially given Salvatore’s storyline over the first three seasons—but that he is interested in Pete certainly would be. It seems a tad asynchronous, so we’ll see how it pans out. Hopefully this isn’t the last of the Bob-related reveals, as his odd nature seems to be leading up to something big. Bob isn’t the only one with some Pete-related chemistry this week. Signs that were pointing to something between Peggy and Stan, and then Peggy and Ted, are now inching ever-so slightly towards Peggy and Pete. Beginning with Pete’s mom mistaking Peggy for Trudy—complete with an accidental reference to their child together—and ending with parallels between their lonely isolated home lives (Peggy seems to be searching for someone that can be there to kill rats—and it won’t be Stan, who adamantly proclaimed “I’m not your boyfriend), it seems Peggy and Pete may soon find themselves settling for each other out of sheer convenience. The biggest moment of the episode came, however, when Sally walks in on Don collecting his “favor” from Sylvia. Tensions have been rising all season long, and we knew Don’s affair would come back to bite him in the ass. Despite Sally seemingly coming to a reluctant surrender of her panicked disgust over discovering her father cheating, the event may just have irreparably damaged her and her relationship to Don. As soon as Sally saw Don and Sylvia together, the act became so, so real. The affair between Sylvia and Don may just be the crashing-down of Don’s world that the entire season has been pointing to. We’ll see if Sally lets it slip. RATING: 3/5

Man Hits Four Police Cars While Drunk Driving With Child In Car A North Carolina man made this Memorial Day weekend one to remember after he slammed into 4 police patrol cars while driving drunk with his son in the car. via Fox News Authorities say a drunken driver smashed into four patrol cars and injured two troopers directing traffic near the NASCAR race in Concord. Investigators said Patrick Willis was driving too fast when he exited Interstate 485 around 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Authorities say his car hit and jumped a curb and then smashed into four patrol cars on U.S. Highway 29. Officials say two troopers suffered minor leg injuries as they tried to get out of the way. Willis was charged with driving while impaired, reckless driving and child abuse because he was driving with his 9-year-old son. Troopers say Willis’ blood-alcohol content was 0.14 percent, nearly double the legal limit. Sounds like the father of the year. SMH. Shutterstock
