SMH at this story…and of course these people live in Florida: A 30-year-old Fort Myers woman was arrested on Saturday after admitting to Fort Myers Police officers that she gave a 1-year-old child drinks from an alcoholic beverage. Police say they received a call from a woman requesting assistance around 10:15 p.m. The woman disconnected the phone call quickly. When police called back, the woman stated there was “no emergency.” Officers were dispatched to the area and found a large group of people in front of a residence. Laqweeta Neal was identified as the woman who requested police. Neal told officers that her brother slapped her in the face and twisted her arm behind her head after she provided the child with a “sip” from wine coolers she had been consuming. Due to Neal’s admission that she provided a child with an alcoholic beverage, she was arrested and charged with child abuse. Neal’s brother, Rousheem Williams, was also arrested for the obvious injuries caused to Neal. He is charged with battery. Man, her brother “slapped her in the face and twisted her arm behind her head”?!?! Tough life. Hopefully the baby is okay. Source

The former Destiny’s Child singer’s father told a British tabloid that he was trying to get in touch with her for the first time in 23 years. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak and her new husband, Kroy Biermann, are set to star in a new spinoff series for Bravo, according to reports. The couple, who just got married on 11/11/11 , will air their nuptials as part of the show, titled Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding , the network confirmed today. Sounds delightful. The half-hour series will follow Zolciak, 33, and Atlanta Falcons star Biermann, 26, as they plan their ceremony and settle into a new home with Zolciak’s two daughters, Ariana and Brielle, and her new son with Biermann, Kroy Jagger. “I am so excited to give an up close and personal look at the next chapter in my life,” Kim Zolciak said . “My life has turned into a true Cinderella story and to watch all of the pieces unfold is going to be great! Laura Bellizzi , the woman who labeled by various celeb news magazines as Gibson’s baby mama has broken her silence on it, and says it’s just not true. Calling the story one based on “erroneous reports” and “lies and speculation,” the former VH1 reality star says “Mel Gibson is not the father of my child.” Not a lot of wiggle room left in that denial. Laura Bellizzi, a mother and a businesswoman, reportedly dated Mel over the summer, and there are photos of them together . But there was no baby conceived. Any “alleged friends” telling gossip outlets that she’s been privately identifying Gibson as her baby daddy are “being 100% dishonest in a misguided,” she says. Laura lambasted their “efforts to seek 5 seconds of notoriety and fame.” Her rep says she’s “greatly dismayed at the rash of intrusive and irresponsible stories.” Not to worry. Patti Labelle is being sued for allegedly throwing water at a mother and her 18-month-old daughter during a scuffle in a New York City apartment building. The argument supposedly began when Patti, who was renting an apartment in the building while she was appearing in the Broadway musical “Fela!”, allegedly yelled at the mother for letting her young child wander a distance away from her while she fidgeted with her belongings. LaBelle chastised the mother, Roseanna Monk, and when Monk scooped up the child and told LaBelle it was none of her business, the singer allegedly threw water on them from a bottle she was carrying and then launched into an obscenity-filled tirade. When the child started wailing, Monk reportedly made a remark to LaBelle, and the singer charged at her and tried to hit her. The Monks filed a complaint with police; no arrests were made. The lawsuit, which seeks unspecified damages, comes five months after a West Point cadet sued LaBelle over a Houston airport scuffle with her bodyguards. He said they attacked him for no reason in March 2010. She counter sued the cadet, saying he tried to get into her limousine and was drunk and using racial slurs, which he denied. Roseanna Monk’s lawyer said Monk had asked LaBelle for an apology and a donation to a children’s cancer charity but was rebuffed.
