While Stephen Collins remains silent amidst accusations of child molestation , an attorney for the former 7th Heaven star has released a lengthy statement to TMZ. According to Mark Vincent Kaplan, the actor’s estranged wife, Faye Grant, is clearly behind the release of this damning audio, which was recorded in 2012 during a couples’ therapy session. It seemingly features Collins admitting to three different instances of child molestation and Kaplan says it’s no coincidence that the tape leaked just as Grant and his client are in the middle of an ugly divorce case. Stephen Collins: All the Sordid Details “Over the course of my representation of Stephen in the divorce case, Faye has repeatedly threatened to give this audiotape to the media unless Stephen agreed to pay her millions of dollars more than that to which she was legally entitled,” Kaplan says . He continues: “When these demands were rebuffed, Faye attempted — without success — to peddle the tape in numerous ways to numerous different people. It appears that she has finally found an audience for this tape — not surprisingly, on the eve of the trial in the divorce case where, again, she is seeking millions of dollars more than that to which she is legally entitled.” Early Tuesday morning, the tape (which you can listen to in full below) went viral, causing shockwaves around the Internet. Considering a lack of denial from the actor and from his lawyer, it’s very safe to assume that it really does feature Collins admitting to multiple instances of molestation while speaking to a therapist alongside Grant over two years ago. In one quote, he says he placed the hand of a young girl on his penis and that he had a “partial” erection at the time. Stephen Collins is yet to speak out regarding rumors that he molested three girls under the age of 12 many years ago. But the producers of Ted 2 have made their feelings well known in regard to these ugly allegations: Collins has been cut from the upcoming comedy, which is slated for a June 26, 2015 release. The veteran actor, best known for his role as a pastor on 7th Heaven, had already filmed his small role in the film. Collins also says he exposed himself to at least two other girls around the same age, one of whom he contacted “12-15 years ago” to make “amends.” It sounds on the recording as if Grant was aware of these incidents prior to the therapy session. There are multiple references to a “list” that Collins presumably made for his wife, detailing his sordid indiscretions. Under California law, it is legal to illicitly tape someone you suspect of having committed a violent felony. According to various reports, two detectives from the NYPD Special Victims Unit flew to Los Angeles last week to interview Grant, with a police officer confirming to TMZ that there’s an active investigation in the works. Despite living in North Carolina, Mr. Shouse had very little personal contact with Zion and has provided no financial support for her. The case will not be heard until 2015. Teen Mom 2 cast member Chelsea Houska’s ex-boyfriend and baby daddy Adam Lind has had a contentious relationship with her from the start. When he’s released from jail October 3, that’s not likely to change. Lind, of course, has been two daughters while serving time in jail. His latest sentence stems from his (most recent) fiery car crash; Lind has no valid license and has thrice been arrested for DUI. He’s a stand-up individual. As for Lind’s second daughter? That would be Paislee, the child he fathered with Taylor Halbur, whom Adam started seeing when he dumped Chelsea. While Houska is gearing up for a custody battle with Lind, as you’ll know if you watch Teen Mom 2 online , things aren’t as rocky right now with Halbur. This is truly a sad story… Toddler Drowns In Baptism Tank An Alabama mother is burying the baby boy she prayed for for years after a freak accident that took place insider her beloved church. Via MailOnline : A toddler died of accidental drowning after falling into in a tank of baptismal water in an Alabama church just two months shy of his second birthday. Brayden King was under the supervision of his 13-year-old sister when he fell into the large rectangular font last Friday at the Pentecostal House of Prayer in Decatur, about 75 miles north of Birmingham, said Morgan County Coroner Jeffrey Chunn. The little boy was found submerged in 33 inches of water and pronounced dead after unsuccessful attempts to revive him. The child’s mother, Kimberly King, who has two teenage daughters, had prayed to God for years for a son, the Huntsville Times newspaper quoted church pastor Bishop TD Strong as saying over the weekend. ‘Twenty-two months ago he gave her a son,’ Strong said, according to the newspaper. ‘And 22 months later he was taken away. I’ve been preaching 30 years and pastoring for 20 years, this is the first time in my ministry I’ve been speechless.’ Pastor Strong described the boy’s family as ‘devastated.’ The freak accident happened around 7.45pm Friday while Brayden was at the church with his older sister and mother. Strong said Kimberly King was preparing for a skit to be performed at a prayer meeting, and the sister was tasked with keeping an eye on the toddler. The teen lost track of the toddler for a short time. Little Brayden somehow climbed up two flights of stairs and opened a set of doors to reach the font behind the altar still filled with water from a Sunday baptism, Decatur Daily reported. When Mrs King realized her son was not with his sister, she went on a frantic search of the church building, which eventually led her to the baptism tank where her son was discovered unresponsive in water. Church members and emergency crews who were called to the scene were unable to resuscitate the child. ‘I’m just at a loss, because it is so close to home,’ Strong said. ‘People die every day. And I’ve done many funerals, but for a child to die in church, in the baptistery, it’s beyond ordinary and something that will never be forgotten by me.’ So tragic. Forgive us, but we have to say it: Welcome to Gotham, bitches! Sorry. But with Ben McKenzie of The OC prominently involved in this new Fox series, it simply had to be said. McKenzie, of course, is involved as Commissioner Detective James Gordon, as the drama is taking quite the risk by airing a Batman series… without the presence of Batman. Yes, on Gotham Season 1 Episode 1 , we were introduced to a 12-year old Bruce Wayne, once again witnessing the murder of his famous parents. Unlike the film versions of this iconic story, however, we didn’t fast forward beyond that killing. We stayed in the present day and watched as Gordon comforted the child, telling him to be strong and promising that there will be “light” to overcome the city’s “darkness.” Someday. But viewers know it will take a very long time to ever get there, as villains such as The Penguin, The Riddler, Poison Ivy and Catwoman already reside in Gotham, just as children. The series will focus on their transformation into bad guys who will eventually do battle with Batman. It will also focus heavily on McKenzie’s Gordon and Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, a veteran cop who has a tight relationship with Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith), a leading mobster in town. But is he truly corrupt? Or he just doing what he can to survive? Or is Bullock playing some kind of long con where he bides his time and then swoops in to rescue the residents of Gotham? Both McKenzie and Logue are perfectly case in their roles, with their partnership enough to carry this series even if it didn’t have any connection to Batman. However, it’s Robin Lord Taylor who steals the opening episode as Oswald Cobblepot, the young man who will grow into The Penguin. He hates that nickname at the moment, though, as we see him try to overtake Smith’s Mooney during the opening hour. He isn’t successful, but the premiere concludes with Cobblepot killing an innocent fisherman and then the camera panning to a dark Gotham City, teasing a series of dangerous events to come. With solid performances and an intriguing concept, Gotham is one of the few fall pilots that appears to be very promising. We thought that before seeing the premiere and we think it now.
