Mildred Baena and Arnold Schwarzenegger split

When Mildred Baena did file for divorce from Rogelio de Jesus Baena in 2008 in Los Angeles, she did not list him as the baby#39;s father. “There are no minor children,” the papers say. This contradicts a birth certificate, obtained by us, which identifies Rogelio as the father. Arnold Schwarzenegger#39;s household worker Mildred Patricia Baena separated from her husband just days after giving birth to a child who multiple reports say was Schwarzenegger#39;s baby, according to court documents.

Nicki Minaj ‘Really Excited’ About Britney Spears Tour

MC says she wants to ‘show people that I can be part of any world.’ By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Sway Calloway Nicki Minaj Photo: Chris McKay/WireImage Fans are eight weeks away from the launch of the Femme Fatale tour. Britney Spears , along with top-line tour opener Nicki Minaj, will get the party started in June in Sacramento, California. Minaj has called the slot “an honor.” When MTV News caught up with the Barbie herself in New Orleans for the latest stop on the I Am Still Music Tour , she opened up a bit more about the matchup. “She’s definitely iconic and I’m very excited,” Minaj explained. “It’s weird. I just always remember her, since I was little, ruling the world, so I’m really excited to just expand my fanbase and show people that I can be a part of any world.” Minaj is the reigning princess in the hip-hop world, and she feels that hooking up with pop’s leading queen will expand her horizons, even if she has to make some changes to her stage show. “Of course I will adjust some things. I definitely will take away that one particular stage prop,” she said of one very phallic object, adding that her music and set list will basically stay the same. “We’ll add some stuff ’cause I got some new things coming out this summer, some new records.” Earlier this week, Minaj called into Ryan Seacrest’s radio show , promising that things will be characteristically over-the-top when she hits the road with Spears. “I’m calling to let everyone know how thrilled I am, how honored I am to be going on the road with the iconic Miss Britney Spears this summer. I just know that when the Femme Fatales and the Barbs get together, we’re going to kick major ass,” she said. “And I am looking forward to creating a new, a bigger, a brighter, a more spectacular show. And I am just really, really excited to make history with Britney, so you guys, make sure you come out this summer.” Related Videos Britney Spears: I Am The Femme Fatale Related Artists Nicki Minaj Britney Spears

‘American Idol’ In 60 Seconds: Paul McDonald Kicked Out Of Boys’ Club

‘American Idol’ Report Card: Who Starred On Movie Night?

Watch ‘Idol Party Live’ for more on why we’re giving Lauren Alaina high marks this week. By Eric Ditzian Lauren Alaina Photo: FOX The question heading into Wednesday’s “American Idol” was no longer why Pia Toscano was booted off so prematurely, but whether the judges would learn a much-needed lesson from her departure. Would Randy, Jennifer and Steven realize their jobs are to dole out expert critiques and sagacious notes, shaping public opinion and letting contestants know what’s working and what needs overhauling? Any hope the judges had recalibrated their critical approach was pretty much lost when J.Lo announced, after a competent but hardly revelatory tune from Scotty McCreery, “Everybody wants us to be tough with you guys, but the truth is y’all are so damn good. All I really want to say is wow.” And our last bit of optimism was flushed away as Lopez, during her review of Haley Reinhart, essentially exposed herself as a judge who will place sentiment (in this case, mealy-mouthed girl-power favoritism) ahead of objective reality. In past seasons, even when Simon Cowell would confess to personally liking an “Idol” hopeful, he’d still have no problem laying down some hard truths. No wonder, as Ryan Seacrest put it last night, this season is clouded by an “insane level of uncertainty.” But there’s nothing ambiguous about our “Idol” report card. The fact is, Wednesday’s night show — theme: songs of the cinema — wasn’t much to behold. No one bombed, but no one blew us away either. If the judges won’t lay down some truth, we will. Excellent Lauren Alaina : We’re not sure what Miley Cyrus did to earn Jimmy Iovine’s enmity, but the guy seemed almost as concerned with ripping the Disney starlet as he was with anointing Lauren as a superstar. In any event, saying Lauren is better than Miley is kind of a backhanded compliment, no? During “The Climb,” she struggled with some pitch problems but showed off an emotive voice and been-doing-this-all-my-life comfort level on stage. One question though: What happened to the country-infused Lauren we’ve come to know? We dig the ballads, but we want that light Southern twang back in the mix. In the end, Lauren lands a top grade, not because her performance was astonishing but because a) she was a pleasure to listen to, and b) there’s no way James Durbin gets an “excellent” just because he shared the stage with shred-master Zakk Wylde. Good Scotty McCreery : Let’s put aside the laughable thesis that Scotty was returning to his country roots on Wednesday, because he’s showed next to no genre growth all season. That’s not meant as a knock. In fact, he presents quite an interesting “Idol” model: the fully formed artist who does one thing so well, there’s little reason to test uncharted artistic waters. And hey, during his George Strait tune, Scotty let his vocals stretch further than they have on the show, even holding one note long enough for us to think, “Geez, he’s actually holding a note.” James Durbin : We knew this was coming . James couldn’t be expected to go all sensitive-rocker for a second consecutive week, even though we continue to argue that’s when he’s at his best. Alas, his heavy metal take on Sammy Hager left us feeling much as we did during his cover of Elton John’s “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting” a few weeks ago: tons of fun to watch, but useless as an example of vocal expertise — something he has hardly established he possesses. Haley getting beat up for not giving her vocals an opportunity to sparkle while James didn’t is a deep injustice, a sign that some singers continue to get free passes while others can’t catch a break. Satisfactory Paul McDonald : We knew we should worry as soon as Paul showed up onstage without a guitar and was free to wobble around like that spinning top from “Inception.” It never works out well, does it? Paul’s energy was high and his ability to pump up a crowd remained intact, but we just didn’t get a very good chance to assess Paul the singer, rather than Paul the showman. We fear he’ll end up in the bottom three this week; we hope he doesn’t get sent home. Haley Reinhart : Haley! Haley! Why? Why Blondie’s “Call Me” and why that arrangement? Listen, we actually enjoyed it. Or maybe we just enjoy her. But the judges were correct that the song didn’t allow Haley to showcase her vocals — those great soulful growls. Any momentum she had accrued over the last few weeks likely fizzled away, perhaps not because her performance was worse than anyone else’s (it wasn’t, not by a long shot), but because she doesn’t seem to have worked her way into a permanent, do-no-wrong place in the judges’ hearts. How can she possibly be the only contestant to get slammed, when no one else gets so much as had an unkind word tossed his or her way? We can only hope voters see through the judges’ transparent cheerleading for everyone and bullying of Haley and give her enough support to rediscover her artistic sweet spot. Stefano Langone : This one’s tricky. Was Stefano’s take on Boyz II Men’s “End of the Road” his finest performance on the season — a notch above his surprising showstopper last month of Simply Red’s “If You Don’t Know Me By Now”? That’s up for debate. What is clear is Stefano showed more vocal and emotional abandon on Wednesday night than he has since coming on the show. Yet it’s also clear he generally doesn’t possess a particularly powerful instrument. The judges did their best to make Haley into this week’s fall gal, but there’s no doubting who is the more compelling artist between the two. Hint: It ain’t Stefano. Casey Abrams : Did we fall asleep and miss five weeks of this competition? Since when did Casey remake his artistic identity into some pop-jazz fusion of Adele and Michael Bubl

‘American Idol’ Recap: Lauren Alaina, James Durbin Shine On Movie Night

Casey Abrams delivers a jazzy Nat King Cole tune, while Stefano Langone hopes it isn’t the end of the road for him on ‘Idol.’ By Eric Ditzian Haley Reinhart performs on “American Idol” Wednesday Photo: Fox She’s gone but not forgotten. The ghost of Pia Toscano was everywhere on Wednesday’s (April 13) “American Idol,” from an opening montage reminding viewers that “every vote counts,” to a poster in the audience that read “I miss Pia” to the mentors’ many invocations of the eliminated finalist’s name. But Pia, alas, is gone and the show, as they say in Hollywood, must go on — in this case to Tinseltown itself. The theme was songs of the cinema , and like last week, we got a show with no bombs and a few blockbusters. Paul McDonald kicked things off with Bob Seger’s “Old Time Rock and Roll” from “Risky Business.” Unlike Tom Cruise in that classic ’80s flick, however, Paul didn’t perform the song in his underwear, a tactic that would likely have assured the guy a spot in the finals. Nonetheless, he kicked the show off in style, a high-energy performance in which he ditched his guitar and sashayed around the stage but didn’t succumb to the silly dance moves we’ve seen from him in the past. The judges loved his rose-embroidered suit, loved his sax player, but more than anything else, they loved his energy. “I love your crazy, wild abandon,” said Steven Tyler, while Randy argued America had just witnessed the opening number at a forthcoming McDonald concert. Next up was Lauren Alaina, whom mentor Jimmy Iovine dubbed not only a better singer than Miley Cyrus but one capable of burying the Disney starlet’s own rendition of “The Climb.” What’s more, Jimmy delivered a message to all of the viewers at home: Lauren’s the contestant who deserves to gobble up Pia’s voting bloc. Her ballad would certainly appeal to fans of the departed singer, though Lauren’s tune was hardly as pitch-perfect as previous Pia songs. What Lauren delivered was a performance that was, in terms of emotion and comfort level on the stage, far superior to anything Pia had delivered. “I love the tear you have in your voice. It’s a cry. It’s something that really transmits,” Jennifer Lopez said. “You sang it so beautifully, so beautifully. You don’t need to steal anybody’s votes. You’re getting your own.” It remains to be seen just how many votes of his own Stefano Langone will be getting. But during his cover of Boyz II Men’s “End of the Road,” he made a serious bid to attract enough support to stay safe for another week. He started off weakly, his vocals seemingly not up to the task of nailing the song’s high notes. Yet as the music built, Stefano stepped up, letting loose vocally and showing more artistry than we’ve perhaps ever seen from him. Predicting what Boyz II Men would soon tell him, Jackson said, “Your man Stefano just slayed the song.” The other judges agreed. “This is so not the end of the road for you,” Tyler said. “This is the beginning.” The same could be said of Scotty McCreery, who can do no wrong in the judges’ eyes nor, it appears, in those of the public. The 17-year-old suggested he was going back to his country roots with George Strait’s “I Cross My Heart,” as if he’d ever strayed far from them. Call it returning to his strengths or continuing to exploit them — whatever the case, Scotty once again busted out a mature performance that could become a hit on country radio tomorrow. He even took a few more vocal risks than usual, including a sustained note at the finale that was easily three times longer than any other he’d belted out all season. “Everybody wants us to be tough with you guys, but the truth is y’all are so damn good,” Lopez said. “All I really want to say is wow. That was really good.” Jackson seconded that assessment, and raised her one. “Look at this guy right here,” he said. “A star is born on this stage.” Casey Abrams, rocking an ascot and a severely trimmed beard, followed Scotty onto the stage. He was unsure if he should sing Phil Collins or Nat King Cole, but ultimately went with a slow and jazzy take on Cole’s “Nature Boy” that allowed him to whisper and growl and scat and, of course, slap some on the bass. The judges certainly thought Casey made the right choice. They praised his artistry and the educational value of his music, comparing him to Norah Jones, Michael Bubl

Will Theater Owners Make It Hard for You To See The Hangover Part II and Other Summer Blockbusters?

When the news about Home Premiere — the DirecTV service that will allow subscribers to watch relatively new movies in their homes 60 days after release for the totally reasonable price of $30 — leaked during CinemaCon two weeks ago, the National Association of Theater Owners was predictably upset: “[We] repeatedly, publicly and privately, raised concerns and questions about the wisdom [of early on-demand movies],” said the group in a statement . “These studios have made their decision in what they no doubt perceive to be their best interests. Theater owners will do the same.” So they have — and now it affects you.

Ryan Reynolds Explains His ‘Extraordinary’ ‘Green Lantern’ Character Arc

‘When we meet Hal Jordan, he’s a cocky, sarcastic, arrogant type of guy and he’s given this extraordinary gift,’ he tells MTV News. By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Ryan Reynolds in “Green Lantern” Photo: Warner Bros. The first time we see Ryan Reynolds’ Hal Jordan in the trailer for “Green Lantern,” he wakes up in bed next to a woman he doesn’t seem to have known for long. “Make yourself at home,” he tells her as he rushes out. “There’s water in the tap.” A gracious host he’s not. That trailer introduction to Jordan is a fairly accurate representation of the test-pilot we meet in the beginning of the upcoming film, before an encounter with an intergalactic visitor gifts him with a power ring that turns Jordan into a superhero. “When we meet Hal Jordon, he’s a cocky, sarcastic, arrogant type of guy and he’s given this extraordinary gift,” Reynolds told MTV News at CinemaCon recently. “Rather than [have] that amplify those character traits, he’s in fact humbled by it and given purpose in his life, which is what he lacked.” Audiences won’t have to wait too long before Jordan undergoes that transformation. “We’re into it [early],” Reynolds said. “It’s an accelerated process. You don’t really want the movie to start in the third act.” Jordan isn’t the only character who will experience a full-scale reinvention. In the new movie, Sinestro (Mark Strong) is a faithful member of the Green Lantern Corps that Jordan joins. But as DC Comics fans know, Sinestro will eventually take a dark turn — one that will be hinted at in the film. “You definitely feel it. But he’s an ally in this film,” Reynolds said. He added about Jordan’s relationship with Sinestro, “I would say it’s contentious. Humans are looked down upon by a lot of the Green Lanterns — they’re kind of a sub-species.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Green Lantern.” For breaking news and previews of the latest comic book movies — updated around the clock — visit SplashPage.MTV.com .
