The capital city of Afghanistan is reeling in the aftermath of a Taliban-claimed suicide bombing. According to CNN , a driver detonated an ambulance that was filled to the brim with explosives. It’s said that the explosion happened just AFTER the vehicle passed a security checkpoint. That doesn’t seem very…secure. Police are said to have identified the man at a second checkpoint but couldn’t stop hime before the attack. We condemn this terrorist act and share the sorrows and loses of our people. Our priority and focus right now is to help those in need and provide the best treatment for those wounded. This is the moment when we all need to stand together and punch our enemy hard. It’s complicated. For weeks now Democrats and Republicans have been arguing over a stopgap spending bill that would fund government’s day-to-day activities. Attached to that bill is all sorts of political chess pieces that lead to serious conflict on both sides of the aisle. The Democrats want protection for DACA “dreamers” and the anti-immigrant GOP gang wants funding for Trump dumba$$ “wall” and border security. You see the problem. Last night was the last chance for both the donkeys and the elephants to get their s#!t together, but that didn’t happen. So, the shutdown is in full effect and here’s what that means. According to CNN , thousands of gov’t employees will go on furlough, they will not report to work and they will not be paid. When a shutdown occurred in 2013, there were about 850,000 employees affected. Lot of people not getting the money that feeds their families. Furlough also affects White House employees, over 1,000 of them, 659 of which are considered “essential” will still come to work, but only to send emails and correspond with parties to let them know they won’t be working. This also affects soldiers, even those in active combat, they are fighting for free at this point. No checks will be distributed to those who are risking their life for us as well as this inept body of federal officials. TSA will still get paid, but the employees may not. The mail man will still deliver your mail. HOWEVER, the one group of feds who will still work diligently with pay is the Special Counsel, headed by Robert Mueller, who is investigating all of Donald Trump’s shady shenanigans. Oh, by the dubs, today marks Donald Trump’s 365th day as crispy cheeto POTUS. There are a lot of people who hate the name, and also just a lot of people who will hate any name KimYe chooses just because it’s them, so it’s expected for the couple to receive backlash after their choice. Kim K’s longtime friend LaLa Anthony was quick to send her buddy some congratulations and love following the announcement, saying the name is epic and the baby is already a legend for it. As the first African-American member of the committee since the 1990s, there are a few pressing issues for them to address. Booker is the first Black man to serve on the powerful panel. Here are a few issues that Booker and Harris could give voice to on the committee: 1. Oppose Thomas Farr’s judicial nomination Trump nominated Thomas Farr for a lifetime seat on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. His nomination has drawn widespread criticism . He has a long history of defending laws that weaken voting rights for African Americans and was part of a scheme by North Carolina’s former GOP Sen. Jesse Helms to intimidate Black voters. P aris Dennard has had a hard time on television in 2017. Everyone from Keith Boykin to Cornel West to  A. Scott Bolden have dragged him all over CNN. Mr. Dennard might need a vacation, especially considering the reaction he had when Michael Nutter , the former mayor of Philly, mentioned his blood pressure. Earlier today, Dennard appeared on CNN to discuss Trump’s dossier. Like usual, Paris defended Trump and demanded we acknowledge the so-called good things he has done, not the Russia investigation. When Pamela Brown , who was hosting the segment, asked Nutter if he agreed with Dennard that leaked texts, which showed “political bias and donations to political parties” is tainting the investigation, Nutter replied with, “No. Other than his blood pressure being up this morning, that’s straight out of the usual talking points.” Well, Paris nearly exploded on camera.   D oug Jones made history in Alabama last week, but things are already looking shaky for the folks who supported him. As we reported, on a Sunday interview with CNN, the Senator-elect from Alabama said that people should “move on” from Donald Trump ‘s sexual assault allegations. The comment was bizarre, considering part of the reason he won in Alabama was due to people not wanting a pedophile in the U.S. Senate. M ost people didn’t see this coming. Many of us thought a Democrat could not win in the red state of Alabama. However,  pedophilia, homophobia and racism did not win in the deep south. The times are changing. Doug Jones won the Alabama Senate race and it was the Black vote, especially Black women, who gave him the victory. After calling the race, the CNN election panel attributed the win in part to Black voter turnout and Jones’ campaign. See below. Suspected Tampa Serial Killer Is Identified, Arrested After Nearly 2 Months Of Murders

T ampa police arrested 24-year-old Howell Donaldson III on Tuesday and charged him with four counts of murder in a series of fatal shootings that kept the city’s Seminole Heights neighborhood on edge for nearly two months, CNN  reported. It’s been 51 days that they’ve been terrorized in their neighborhood and it is about letting these families know that we’re going to bring this person to justice, and letting this neighborhood get some rest,” Tampa Police Chief Brian Dugan said. Two days later, the suspected gunman shot  Monica Hoffa , 32.  Anthony Naiboa , 20, became the third victim on Oct. 19, and the police found 60-year-old  Ronald Felton ’s body gunned down in the streets on Nov. 14. The police believe that a single killer committed the murders but were caution about saying that a serial killer was on the loose. These killings appeared to be random. The victims were fatally shot while walking across a street, standing in a parking lot or walking toward a bus stop. SEE ALSO:   Is A Serial Killer Targeting Black Men In Baton Rouge? Authorities said they received a tip on Tuesday from an employee at a McDonald’s, located about three miles from where the killings took place, where Donaldson also worked. The suspect gave his co-worker a gun in a paper bag for safe-keeping, but the co-worker alerted the police. An officer detained Donaldson at the restaurant and called for backup. Investigators believe that Donaldson’s weapon was used in the fatal shootings. He admitted ownership of the gun but denied using it to kill anyone.
