Over the past couple years, parents ordering their kids to hold up signs in public has become an entertaining form of punishment. There was this example last year of a sign that decreed its owner as a ” self-entitled teenager ” and this one of a kid holding a sign that says he’s a bully . But the following is the first example in recent memory of man being ordered by a judge to publicly shame himself in such a manner. Edmond Aviv is a 62-year old resident of South Euclid, Ohio. In February, he pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct – and here’s why: For well over a decade, Aviv has been feuding with neighbor Sandra Prugh, a mother of two adult/adopted children with developmental disabilities. She also has a a husband with dementia and a paralyzed son. In court documents, Prugh says Aviv smeared feces on the family’s wheelchair ramp; hurled ethnic slurs at her African-American kids; and spit on her multiple times. For Aviv’s sentencing, the judge ordered this bully to hold the above sign for five hours on Sunday, requiring the lettering to be large enough that it could be read from 25 feet away. He was also ordered to serve 15 days in jail, undergo anger management classes and write an apology letter to Prugh.

With 150 musical acts set to perform, every single ticket available for the show – including the VIP tickets at $5,000 a piece – sold out in under three hours. Guess who snagged those VIP tickets? Other stars in attendance included Jared Leto who arrived and departed by helicopter so that he could make his date with the MTV Movie Awards last night and Leonardo DiCaprio who danced to MGMT . While many flocked to the concert series to see the newly reunited OutKast perform on the mainstage, those trying to catch a glimpse of Lorde and Pharrell Williams weren’t able to do so unless they got their early and claimed their spot in front of the smaller satellite stages. Justin Bieber, eager to shed his teen idol image, joined Chance the Rapper on stage for an F-bomb riddled performance that might have helped him attract a new audience (but probably not). While figures for the music festival aren’t released, it’s estimated that the 2013 concert raked in over $67 million dollars. With tweaks to this year’s format, the gross for 2014 is expected to be even higher, and given the star power who turned out, that’s not surprising.

Ugh. It’s apparently my least favorite time of year again: Coachella, when pretty much every young hottie in California decides to dress like a fake hipster/dirty hippie for some reason. My favorite thing about Coachella is when the fake line-up drops because Coachells is a fucking joke to begin with that just gets more and more ridiculous as it gets more and more mainstream,…and more and more corporate funded…not that I ever was into music festivals, but they could book god and shit would still fucking suck…unless god decided to destroy all the bohemian hippie wannabe suburbanites… I am sure there are a lot of these fake line-ups out there, but the reality is that I don’t really care for Coachella enough to have a favorite thing about it, I am just posting this for no particular reason at all…
Coachella is bout to be on and poppin.’ OutKast Reuniting At Coachella We know fans will be happy to see OutKast get it in and the lineup is dope too. According to News Radio: After months of rumors and conjecture, it’s official: Coachella 2014 will be headlined by Arcade Fire, Muse and a reunited OutKast. News of rappers Big Boi and Andre 3000 coming together again as OutKast at Coachella was leaked late last year, with members of Muse strongly hinting that the band would be playing during a recent Radio.com interview. Other highlights on the bill include rising alt-star Lorde, who’s currently vying for high-profile Grammy awards Record of the Year and Song of the Year for her breakout single, “Royals.” EDM will again be well represented, with such superstar acts as Skrillex and Calvin Harris making the annual trek to Indio, CA, to rock Coachella’s extensively upgraded Sahara Tent with their body-moving beats. Hard rock fans will also have ample opportunity to throw up devil horns, with sets from such heavyweights as Queens of the Stone Age and enduring metal legends Motorhead. A clutch of artists on the festival’s 2014 under-card such as The Glitch Mob, Future Islands and Bonobo were subtly announced ahead of time via simple social network postings from official Coachella accounts. Coachella 2014 is set for the weekends of April 12-14 and April 19-21, with this being the third year that the festival will be expanded to the dual weekend format.
