Howard Stern and Beth Ostrosky Wed in Manhattan

Howard Stern and his longtime girlfriend Beth Ostrosky were married in New York City Friday evening. The guest list for the wedding, hosted at the restaurant Le Cirque, included celebs Joan Rivers, Barbara Walters, Billy Joel and wife Katie Lee, Jimmy Kimmel, Sarah Silverman and Stern's radio co-host, Robin Quivers. Mark Consuelos officiated the ceremony and attended with wife, Kelly Ripa. Billy Joel sang two songs, and Chevy Chase delivered a raunchy roast. In March, Beth said they decided to change their wedding plans from getting married in the Hamptons to a city wedding with their friends in a restaurant so it would be very low-key. Howard proposed to Beth last year on Valentine's Day with a 5.2 carat diamond ring saying, “I love you. You're everything to me. I'm asking you to spend the rest of your life with me.”

Howard Stern marries Beth Ostrosky in NYC

Shock jock Howard Stern got married Friday night at one of my favorite Manhattan eateries, Le Cirque. Stern tied the knot with girlfriend Beth Ostrosky in a ceremony officiated by Mr. Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos. According to News Day , white Marchesa draped silk chiffon Grecian gown with cutaway back and sides. The secret affair had about 180 guests including Joan Rivers, Barbara Walters, Billy Joel and wife Katie Lee, Alfonse and Katuria D'Amato, Tommy Mottola, and Donald and Melania Trump. Wedding guests say they were told to save the date until late last week when they were informed that Stern and Ostrosky would wed in midtown. The attire: “No black tie. Just something you'd wear to a fancy restaurant.” Instead of gifts guests were asked to make donations to the Wildlife Rescue Center of The Hamptons, a wildlife rescue, housing and rehabilitation organization, where according to a spokesman thousands of dollars have already been raised as a result of the wedding. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Howard Stern And Beth Ostrosky Get Married

The king of all media and his super model girlfriend have tied the knot. Shock jock Howard Stern, 54, and Beth Ostrosky, 36, were married Friday night in a small and private ceremony at Cirque restaurant on East 58th Street in New York City. According to media reports, there were less then 200 people in attendance. The guest list included real estate magnet Donald Trump, Barbara Walters, Jimmy Kimmel, Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos, Sarah Silverman, Adam Carolla, Billy Joel and wife Katie Lee, Joan Rivers, Stern's radio cohorts Robin Quivers and Artie Lang, Chevy Chase and John Stamos. Mark Consuelos, who is an ordained minister and real-life husband of television host Kelly Ripa, officiated over the ceremony. Long time friend and actor Chevy Chase gave the toast, and singer Billy Joel performed the song “The Stranger”. The details for the wedding were kept secret for months, and guests were given little information about the time, place and date of the event. Howard Stern and Beth Ostrosky have been dating for almost eight years, and publicly announced their wedding plans early last year. This is Ostrosky's first marriage, and she now becomes stepmother to Stern's three daughters from a previous marriage. It is Stern's second marriage, after divorcing his first wife Alison in 2000. Stern can currently be heard with Robin, Artie, Fred and Gary as well as a host of outrageous characters on his SIRIUS radio show. He is also a consulting producer for the comedy “Howard Stern's Porky's”, a remake of the classic 1980's teen sex comedy “Porky's”, about a group of high school students who seek revenge on a nightclub owner and his sheriff brother. The film is due sometime in 2009 and is sure to be bad. _ Visit InfoStar Celebrity Blog

Is There Hope for Party Down?

It turns out that Lizzy Caplan wasn’t kidding when she said she’d be loyal to Party Down until the bitter end. CBS is reportedly close to giving the comedy Mad Love a 13-episode pick-up for midseason, without Caplan on board. Caplan was in the original pilot but wouldn’t accept any overtures of commitment from CBS because of Party Down , and now it looks like her role is being recast with — fingers crossed — Judy Greer as the frontrunner. A television landscape with Party Down still airing and Judy Greer on a network show? Yes please. [ Deadline ]

Late Night Highlights: Evangeline Lilly Mindf*cks a Host and Stephen Colbert Shows Gruesome Bullfighting Footage

Last night, Stephen Colbert took a break from discussing the millions of gallons of oil that are spewing into the Gulf to rap about another incident — specifically, the “craziest f#?ing thing” the Comedy Central host has ever seen. Hint: it involves a bull, a horn and a hole through the neck. Click through for that gory clip, as well as the other highlights you missed last night while trying to fix the BP oil spill .

SHULI TO REPLACE ARTIE?

Howard Stern says he’s not the slightest bit interested in filling Artie Lange’s chair on the Howard Stern Show with another comedian. Stern did, however, enter into the dangerous “land of the hypothetical” this week by offering the name of someone he thinks would be up to the task of a daily gig on the HSS mainstage. And the name is Shuli Egar. Howard Stern made the initial Shuli revelation on Tuesday morning’s Howard Stern Show after Howard 100 News bloodhound Steve Langford reported that a movement had started on Facebook to make Egar Artie Lange’s replacement. Stern responded that Shuli Egar would be his choice if he ever decided to add an additional voice to the show. Howard Stern’s statement sent fans hungry for Artie Lange news into a tizzy. “I’m not putting anybody in the Artie chair,” Stern said firmly. “Shuli would be the guy that I would choose. If we needed another voice on the show it would be Shuli.” “Shuli could pull it off,” replied Stern. “It wasn’t meant like ‘Artie’s not coming back I’m looking for a replacement’. It was-if there was a guy-I said there are very few guys who could be an additional voice on the show. You know-I mean Robin and I and Fred, we’re doing the show for a billion years and it’s very satisfying to me, but if I felt we may want another voice in there, Shuli would be that guy. He knows how to pull back. He knows how to drop a line in that’s funny. He doesn’t get in the way. He comes up with funny original thoughts. I like Shuli.” Shuli Egar is currently a correspondent for Howard 100 News. He is a member of the Howard Stern Show’s unofficial stand-up comedy tour, “The Killers of Comedy”. He has also taken a permanent position on Sunday night’s Howard 101 spinoff show ‘Miserable Men’ since Reverend Bob Levy jumped ship last month. source: http://www.examiner.com/x-11279-Howard-Stern-Examiner~y2010m5d28-Howard-Stern-names-hypothetical-unofficial-nonreplacement-for-Artie-Lange-poll

A Muslim Response to ‘Draw Muhammad Day’

I will be the first to defend anyone's right to express their opinion, no matter how offensive it may be to me. Our nation has prospered because Americans value and respect diversity. But freedom of expression does not create an obligation to offend or to show disrespect to the religious beliefs or revered figures of others. In reaction to the recent controversy over a depiction of Islam's Prophet Muhammad in an episode of Comedy Central's “South Park,” a Seattle cartoonist apparently declared May 20th to be “Everybody Draw Muhammad Day.” I say “apparently,” because cartoonist Molly Norris — the creator of the cartoon showing many objects claiming to be a likeness of the prophet — now says she never intended to launch “Draw Muhammad Day.” On her web site, she has since posted a statement that reads in part: “I did NOT 'declare' May 20 to be 'Everybody Draw Mohammed Day'…The cartoon-poster, with a fake 'group' behind it, went viral and was taken seriously…The vitriol this 'day' has brought out, of people who only want to draw obscene images, is offensive to the Muslims who did nothing to endanger our right to expression in the first place…I apologize to people of Muslim faith and ask that this 'day' be called off.” Norris even visited a mosque at the invitation of the local Muslim community. The creator of a Facebook page dedicated to the day also repudiated the “inflammatory posts” it inspired. He said, “I am aghast that so many people are posting deeply offensive pictures of the Prophet…Y'all go ahead if that's your bag, but count me out.” Despite the cartoonist's and the Facebook page creator's seemingly sincere attempts to distance themselves from the fake event, Muslim-bashers and Islamophobes made sure the call to “draw Muhammad” went viral on the Internet. They are hoping to offend Muslims, who are generally sensitive to created images of the Prophet Muhammad or any prophet. [The majority of Muslims believe visual representations of all prophets are inappropriate in that they distract from God's message and could lead to a kind of idol worship, something forbidden in Islam.] So how should Muslims and other Americans react to this latest attempt by hate-mongers to exploit the precious right of free speech and turn May 20 into a celebration of degradation and xenophobia? Before I answer that question, it must first be made clear that American Muslims value freedom of speech and have no desire to inhibit the creative instincts of cartoonists, comedians or anyone else. The mainstream American Muslim community, including my own organization, has also strongly repudiated the few members of an extremist fringe group who appeared to threaten the creators of “South Park.” That group, the origins and makeup of which has been questioned by many Muslims, has absolutely no credibility within the American Muslim community. more….. http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/cair-a-muslim-response-to-draw-muhammad-… added by: CarlosBobthe3rd
