Apparently Kanye West and his ” Perfect Bitch ” can actually do something aside from pose for the paparazzi. In a new spot for the MTV Video Music Awards, Kanye and Kim Kardashian are actually seen interacting for the first time (for marketing purposes, of course), as they appear opposite comedian/event host Kevin Hart. The subject of the commercial? Threesomes and couple nicknames, of course. Topics very close to Kim’s heart. Watch now and learn what moniker Hart wants to give the three, along with the way in which the conversation somehow turns to white hoods and KKK. Does this make you want to watch the VMAs on September 6? Or bludgeon your TV screen with a sledge hammer?
Taylor Swift has taken time away from possibly dating Patrick Schwarzenegger to update fans on the state of her music career. We think. In a mysterious message posted to her Facebook page Monday, the young sensation wrote: I’m writing you from Nashville, where I just sat in a big room with a lot of people and made a lot of decisions about a lot of things happening very soon. And as vague as that sentence was, I think you know what it means.
According to the Federal Trade Commission, Kim Kardashian recently used her body to endorse a product that doesn’t work as advertised. Raise your hand if you’re surprised. The Skechers shoes Kim Kardashian tried to convince you to buy don’t work, according to the federal government, which concluded that Skechers made unfounded claims about its Shape-Ups shoes, promoted by the shameless spokeswoman. Kim Kardashian Super Bowl Commercial According to the FTC, Skechers lied about clinical studies which they said proved the shoes help lose weight and strengthen muscles in the ass, legs and stomach. Skechers has already agreed to pay $45 million in settlement costs, and anyone who bought the shoes will be eligible for a refund. Busted. Skechers is reportedly disputing the FTC decision, and plans to conduct more research on the effects of the shoe … good luck with that guys. For her part, Kim she says Skechers worked for her – she was a devoted Shape-Ups user and felt they helped her tone the back of her legs and her giant ass(et) – and that’s why she became the company’s pitch person. Kim says as soon as research showed the shoe didn’t work, she stopped promoting it all together, even before the end of her one-year contract. After getting paid for her Super Bowl commercial , of course. Kim says she wouldn’t endorse the shoe now, given the FTC’s ruling, but she’s not in the wrong and is not even throwing her Shape-Ups out. She’s nothing if not loyal, right Kris Humphries ?
Frontman Michael Angelakos talks to MTV News about the first single off Gossamer. By James Montgomery Michael Angelakos of Passion Pit Photo: Getty Images When Passion Pit ‘s Michael Angelakos learned that his label chose “Take a Walk” as the first single from his band’s upcoming Gossamer album — the follow-up to their breakout debut, Manners — he was understandably nervous. Though not for the reasons you might expect. “It was really odd when they said it was going to be the first single, I was like ‘I don’t know if anyone’s going to get it,'” he told MTV News on Wednesday (May 9). “And then I thought everyone was going to think I was being really political, and I don’t think it is political, it’s more about family to me. I really don’t consider myself a very political person; I really don’t like political songs, frankly.” It’s not difficult to see why he was concerned. After all, with its mentions of disappearing pension funds, overdrawn accounts and “socialists and all their damn taxes,” “Take A Walk” seems very much to be a political anthem — one that could only have been written post financial crisis. And, since it premiered earlier this week, most have viewed it as such. But, as Angelakos said, the song is really about his family; each verse is about a member of his family at one point in their lives — from an immigrant selling flowers outside Penn Station to a well-heeled (though financially strapped) member of society. And, in a way, the song is also about him. “It’s about very specific family members, the male hierarchy, and how the men in my family have always dealt with money. I’ve always been really fond of a lot of my family members and not so fond of others,” he laughed. “All these men were very conservative; socially very liberal but for some reason, they all came here for capitalism, and they all ended up kind of being prey to capitalism. And I’m not making any political statements or anything, but it’s ironic and it’s sad. “So when people started talking about it as an ‘immigrant song’ or whatever, I was like, ‘OK’ … I didn’t want to make it into a greater political issue, especially considering the timeliness of it. I didn’t want people to read it the wrong way,” he continued. “I was more or less interested in analyzing my own family, and that was my way of talking about myself, because I’m a product of these men; I’m their blood. And that was a new way for me to express something.” And that new way of expression also helps shape Gossamer (due July 24), which sees Angelakos coming to terms with the failings in his own life … for reasons he’s not entirely sure of (“I don’t know why I felt the need to write so much non-fiction,” he laughed). And it’s why, for the first time, he says he’s endlessly proud of the finished product. And not overly concerned with whether it manages to match the commercial success of Manners. To him, Gossamer goes much deeper than any of that. “This record was a struggle, that’s for sure. At the time of making it, [I was in] a relationship that just felt like, ‘Things are perfect, things are falling apart,’ and it was mostly of my doing, because it was such a hard process making this record,” he said. “Everything on the record’s true, everything happened to me, I’m the one that made the mess and everyone else had to clean up around me. And the guilt and the pain that I felt throughout the record is definitely evident. “It’s about the ways of dealing with pain and anxiety. Social issues are dealt with today in a variety of ways, of which I don’t need to indulge in for you to understand; and I kind of gave in to those things, and I just lost control at a certain point,” he continued. “And it was about regaining control. Once I did, that’s when I finished the record. You can’t make a record when you were in a terrible place, and most of the time, I wasn’t finishing a record, I was treading water, and finally at a certain point, everything kind of clicked, and I saw what was happening. It involved being very open and honest, but that was my therapy in a way. I’m really proud of it.” What do you think of “Take a Walk”? Leave your comments below! Related Artists Passion Pit
Okay, this is pretty darn funny. Ashton Kutcher, who knows a thing or two about dating around, is featured in a new video advertisement for worldwidelovers.com. Well, actually, it’s a video advertisement for Popchips, for which Kutcher serves as the brand ambassador. But the important part is this: in the spot, the Two and a Half Men actor – who may or may not be doing Mila Kunis – portrays four characters: A Bollywood producer. A stoner. A Karl Lagerfeld clone who shares food with his dog. A tattooed biker. Demi Moore may not laugh at the ad, but we’re guilty of doing so: Ashton Kutcher Dating Site Commercial

On this week’s Saturday Night Live, Andy Cohen was mocked so relentlessly that many wondered if he’d be legitimately offended, but he took it like a good sport. Taran Killam starred as the Bravo host, portraying him as a fame-obsessed, egotistical, flamboyant moderator of Watch What Happens Live … which he sort of is. Still, the snark was off the charts, with a couple of “yeah, they really said that” kind of moments. The source material wasn’t upset by it, however. On the contrary. Upon learning of the skit, Cohen tweeted, “OMG the one night I go to bed early I’m lampooned on SNL?! Great job I am flattered! #ImLikeAShark #VeryCute.” Good to know he can take it as well as he dishes it out: Andy Cohen Saturday Night Live Parody
Supermodel Bar Refaeli looked like she picked up some tennis tips from Rafael Nadal in this new ad for under.me … which is apparently a clothing line. A comfortable one, it looks like. The Israeli beauty is featured playing tennis in her under.me underwear, and her groundstrokes, volleys and footwork look stronger than you’d expect. What, you’re not looking at her mechanics? Our bad. What about her Nadal-esque wedgie adjustment? Somehow it’s hotter when she does it … Bar Refaeli under.me Commercial
Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich called on President Obama to apologize for comments made by actor Robert De Niro at a fundraiser Monday. “What De Niro said last night was inexcusable and the president should apologize for him. It was at an Obama fundraiser, it is exactly wrong,” Gingrich said. What did the actor say to draw such a harsh rebuke? De Niro told a New York City crowd of about 90 people, including his wife and First Lady Michelle Obama, that it was “too soon” for a “white first lady.” “Callista Gingrich. Karen Santorum. Ann Romney. Now do you really think our country is ready for a white First Lady?” the 68-year-old asked, jokingly. The crowd roared. Someone yelled “No!” De Niro asked, “Too soon, right?” Gingrich said the comments made by De Niro “divide the country.” “If people on the left want to talk about radio show hosts, then everybody in the country ought to hold the president accountable when somebody at his event says something as utterly, totally unacceptable as Robert De Niro said last night,” he said. If that sounds like a defense of Rush Limbaugh , it sort of is. Newt has a point about double standards of media coverage, but De Niro was likely making light of the fact that so many people viewed Obama’s 2008 candidacy in racial terms. In any case, Gingrich said the president should hold De Niro accountable. “On behalf of my wife, and on behalf of Karen Santorum and on behalf of Ann Romney, I think Robert De Niro is wrong. I think this country is ready for a new First Lady and he doesn’t have to describe it in racial terms,” he added. The White House and the First Lady’s office agreed with Newt. “We believe the joke was inappropriate,” said Olivia Alair, Michelle Obama’s press secretary. The proceeds from Monday’s event benefitted the Obama Victory Fund, a joint venture supporting the Obama campaign and Democratic National Committee. De Niro’s comments :
