Chit-Chatter: ‘Scandal’ Producer Shonda Rhimes Defends The Show And Says It Doesn’t Promote Adultery….Do You Agree?

Shonda says Liv should be free to buss it open for Fitz without judgement…do you agree? Shonda Rhimes Says ‘Scandal’ Doesn’t Promote Adultery ‘Scandal’ producer Shonda Rhimes is yet again going to bat for the controversial central storyline that has made the show so popular. After the producer of another ABC drama titled “Betrayal” likened the plot of his show to that of ‘Scandal’and indirectly implied that both shows have to find a way to make adultery acceptable according to Indiewire , Shonda clapped back with this response: “I don’t feel like we’re making adultery acceptable. We weren’t setting out to make adultery OK. To me it’s not about adultery or not adultery. We’re telling the story of these two characters who very specifically have this kind of relationship we tell all sides. So while there are times when you’re like, ‘Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) and Liv are wonderful and I want them to be together,’ there are also times you think, ‘Fitz is scum and he shouldn’t be cheating on his wife.’ And there are times you think, ‘Olivia should go off and find herself somebody who’s single.’ I like the fact that everybody feels this big debate. That’s fantastic, because that’s the point. We’re not giving a judgement on it one way or the other. Do you agree with Shonda’s sentiments, Bossip fam? Continue reading

Paula Patton: "Blurred Lines" is a Turn-On!

Robin Thicke’s hit song “Blurred Lines” has been criticized for being too ” rapey ” by some women, and its uncensored video was banned from YouTube . Make no mistake, though – it’s a huge turn on to Mrs. Thicke! “I love that song,” Robin’s wife Paula Patton told Chelsea Handler. “I don’t know what it is, it just makes you want to dance and party and groove.” “I watched that video. I was a little bit jealous, then I wanted to jump his bones. I was like, ‘I want to take you down right now.’ That’s how I know it’s a hit!” Not only that, Paula Patton was the one who convinced the singer to release the controversial “Blurred Lines” music video featuring topless models. Paula explained, “It’s funny, he came home and he was like, ‘I gotta be honest with you. Diane Martel, the video director, did an amazing job on it.'” “She wanted to do a nude version.’ And so he saw it and he’s like, ‘I don’t know, I’m nervous.’ And we watched it and I thought, ‘It’s amazing.” “I think it’s beautiful,” 2 Guns star Patton reiterated. “I like it better than the clothed version. I don’t know what to tell you. You gotta let it out.'” Thanks, Mrs. Thicke. From all of us. Robin Thicke – Blurred Lines ft. T.I. & Pharrell

Will Smith Humiliated After School Jada Insisted They Open Fails To Teach Some Students To READ By The 6th Grade

SMH @ all the drama this “Scientology School” is causing Will and Jada . Via National Enquirer reports : WILL and JADA Pinkett Smith’s marriage was dealt another blow after the controversial private school they founded was shut down. The New Village Leadership Academy, which was located near the couple’s mansion in Calabasas, Calif., has been a sore spot in Will and Jada’s marriage since it opened in 2008, a source says. And things only got worse when it was abruptly shuttered. “Will told Jada from the start that opening this school could be a legal nightmare,” said a friend. “He never wanted to do it. “But Jada promised him that it was an excellent school and there was nothing to worry about. Now he’s flipping out,” the source said, “and unhappy with Jada for the humiliating closure.” The school came under fire in the past for using “Study Technology” – a teaching method developed by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. The implementation of the program led to blistering accusations that the school had an affiliation with the controversial church – a charge Will, 44, and Jada, 41, vehemently denied. Will and Jada have previously denied that they are Scientologists. The school has also struggled with finances, piling up more than $1 million in liabilities by 2011 despite charging its students between $7,500 to $12,000 in tuition. Disgruntled parents charge that the number of kids enrolled was deliberately kept low so the academy would not be subject to certain state standards. “There have been students who went there and claimed they couldn’t even read when they got out of sixth grade,” the source continued. “When the school opened, everyone thought it was going to be an uplifting experience and good for the kids, but it turned out to be a nightmare.” Damn, how do you leave sixth grade and can’t read? SMH. Continue reading

Storage Wars’ Dave Hester Ordered to Pay $122K in Legal Fees

Does Dave Hester owe A&E a ton of money in legal fees after the network prevailed in an anti-SLAPP motion against the former Storage Wars star? Yuuuuuuuuuuup!!!! Hester, who’s suing Storage Wars ‘ production company Original Productions and A&E in a complaint that claims the show is staged, must pay $122,692. In a tentative ruling , Dave Hester was ordered to cough up $96,735 to A&E and $25,957 to Original (they asked for $138,194 and $43,283 initially). The reduction came after Hester objected to figures regarding the staffing and hours that A&E and Original claimed to have expended on the motion. Hester sued A&E and Original in December, claiming that he had been fired from the hit reality show for complaining that events have been rigged. Specifically, Hester alleges, producers plant valuable items in storage lockers, which competitors then bid on, supposedly without knowing what’s inside. The show has been besieged with real-life drama over the past year as every cast member seems to really want to get paid – via a raise or a lawsuit.

George Zimmerman Not Guilty: Celebrities React, Nearly Shut Down Twitter

Minutes after the controversial verdict was announced in the George Zimmerman trial, celebs and common folk alike took to Twitter to sound off. The case had been a lightning rod for racial and political tension since Trayvon Martin was shot and killed in February 2012, and it showed last night. A jury unanimously found George Zimmerman not guilty of second-degree murder and manslaughter on Saturday night in a Seminole County Court. Twitter exploded with reactions – some more sensible than others – all over the country as people tried to make sense of the complex and tragic case. Below are some of the most notable celebrity Tweets regarding the verdict … Chris Brown : Bullshit! Rihanna : This is the saddest news ever!!! #whatsjustice #pray4theMartinFamily Sophia Bush: The wind is more than knocked out of me… My heart aches for this boy’s family. Justice System? I don’t think so. #justicefortrayvon Donald Trump: Zimmerman is no angel but the lack of evidence and the concept of self-defense, especially in Florida law, gave the jury little other choice Roddy White: Fucking Zimmerman got away with murder today wow what kind of world do we live in … All them jurors should go home tonight and kill themselves for letting a grown man get away with killing a kid Michael Moore: Had a gun-toting Trayvon Martin stalked an unarmed George Zimmerman, and then shot him to death… DO I EVEN NEED TO COMPLETE THIS SENTENCE? Ellen Page: If u really believe racism isnt a massive problem, that the oppression of minorities is not a horrific and systemic issue. U R in denial. Gabrielle Union: How do we explain this to children? RT @lolaogunnaike: Apparently walking while black is a crime punishable by death. #TrayvonMartin Anthony Weiner: Keep Trayvon’s family in our prayers. Deeply unsatisfying verdict.
