Bristol Palin Shares Pic of Toddler Son Shooting a Gun

For the second time this month, Bristol Palin is under fire for sharing a photo of one of her kids… … and a gun. A couple weeks ago, Palin posted a picture to Instagram of her baby daughter, Sailor, posing alongside her father, Dakota Meyer, and some sort of antique weapon. The photo raised many concerns for parents across the Internet. But, in fairness, it was an ancient gun that was no longer able to be fired, as you can see below: The same, though, cannot be said of Bristol’s latest Instagram image. In the first picture posted above, Bristol is standing with seven-year old Tripp, keeping an eye on the toddler as he shoots an actual weapon. Wearing safety glasses and ear protection, just as her child is, Bristol captioned the photo as follows: “#trapper #safetyfirst #teachingthemyoung.” As you might expect, the picture has divided those on social media. Some are aghast at the sight of a firearm in the hands of a young child. What’s the point , they might ask? Why take any chance that this kid could get hurt? And why teach him about shooting a gun at such an early age? Others, however, are standing up for the controversial daughter of Sarah Palin. For example, @nattythorn78 wrote as a comment to the picture: “Good job! Teaching them to respect guns young is a great gift to children.” And @adecoratingmom chimed in with the following: “Great teaching your kids that guns need to be treated safely. Don’t let the wackos gun control haters deter you. Great job @bsmp2.” We’d say that one can teach one’s child about gun safety while still pushing for reasonable gun control measures. But whatever. Where do you stand on Palin’s latest scandal? Is it a scandal in your mind? Should parents teach their kids how to handle weapons? Yes, but not at this young of an age? No, never? There are many sides one can take in response to this photo. Unlike Bristol’s response to this year’s Oscar race controversy , this isn’t the dumbest thing she has ever dumb or said. Antonio Armstrong, Former NFL Linebacker, Killed by Son

An unspeakable tragedy has struck the world of professional sports. Antonio Armstrong, a former linebacker for the Miami Dolphins was shot and killed along with his wife in Houston, Texas. Police have confirmed that the main suspect in the crime is the couple’s 16-year old son. The young man’s name has not been released to the public due to his age, he has been charged with murder as a juvenile and is being questioned by authorities. According to a local NBC affiliate, the 42-year old Armstrong and his wife, Dawn, were found at approximately 2 a.m. after police responded to a 911 call. Dawn was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime. The ex-NFL player was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital and listed in critical condition… but later passed away from a gunshot wound to the head. The couple’s two other kids were at home at the time of the incident, but were unharmed. Those familiar with the family are attempting to come to grips with how this could have happened. “This was an outstanding family. The male of the family was an absolute hard-working breadwinner,” local homicide lnvestigator Jimmy Dodson said, via KPRC. “He was an associate pastor in the area church. He’s a great guy. The mother was apparently a great mother, according to family members. “Like I said, it was kind of the all-American family.” Investigators who searched the southwest Houston residence discovered a still-smoking gun with a note next to it that reads “I’ve been watching you.” Police then arrested the 16-year-old boy. “There was nothing left out. There was no neglect or anything. There was nothing that even could possibly have justified this situation,” Dawn Armstrong’s cousin, Vaun Lee, told reporters. “This doesn’t even make sense. It makes no sense.” Prior to turning professional, Armstrong was a college football star at Texas A&M, where he played for the Aggies from 1991 to 1994. The university released the following message on Twitter soon after the horrible news broke: Armstrong was named first-team Associated Press All-America linebacker in 1994 and was drafted in the sixth round of the 1995 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. He was released that October after suffering an ankle injury and signed with the Dolphins, with whom he recorded four solo tackles his room season. “Antonio was a special young man. He was an All-American and an outstanding player, but he was an even better person,” his former head coach at A&M, R.C. Slocum, said in a statement. “He was such a positive influence on his teammates. He always had a great big smile and was a joy to coach.” The Dolphins said via statement that they were “saddened by the tragic” deaths, adding: “Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.” A GoFundMe page, meanwhile, has been created to help the family in the aftermath of the shooting; thus far, it has raised over $53,000. “Let’s rally around this family and show them how much we loved Dawn and Antonio, and that we will miss them and their big hearts dearly,” the page reads. Amber Rose: Siding With Kimye in Taylor Swift Feud?!

At this point, you’re probably well aware of the feud between Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift  and the many ways that it’s escalated over the course of the past week. Things heated up when Kim basically called Taylor out as a liar by posting proof that Kanye West got her approval on some potentially offensive lyrics before recording his song “Famous.” Celebrities took sides, and predictably, the many people that Taylor has shaded over the years sided with Kim and Kanye . But it wasn’t just A-listers who entered the fray. Even people who are only famous because they date and feud with famous people wanted in on the action. Enter Amber Rose, who these days can be found doing her best Wendy Williams impression in the most desolate wastelands of basic cable. Amber Rose on Kanye West v Taylor Swift Feud To the surprise of many Amber has been defending Kanye on the grounds that – he feels bad after does stupid things? We’re not really following her reasoning in the above clip (Especially since this is a guy who said he needed 30 showers after sleeping with her.), but at least she ends with a reference to Kanye liking fingers up his ass. Anyway, it seems Amber has more shade in store for her new celebrity rival, Taylor. “Amber wants to have Calvin Harris on her show to talk about Taylor Swift. She knows that he has major dirt on her and she would love to have him spill their secrets to her,” a source tells Radar Online. “She reached out to Calvin’s people to work with them to get him on her show. He’s a loose cannon and his appearance could be ratings gold.” With taking this one with several grains of salt, as Harris doesn’t really strike us as the “loose cannon” type. And unfortunately for Amber, he already dealt with Taylor on Twitter . Sounds like she’ll just have to keep sharing her detailed theories with her shrill, Wendy-esque audience. Man Faces Jail for Trying to Recreate Seinfeld Recycling Scheme

The following tells the story of a Seinfeld viewer who tried to make like Kramer and Newman in order to get rich quick. Yadda… yadda… yadda: the man has now been arrested. Indeed, a judge has ruled that Brian Edward Everidge will stand trial for a crime that very much seems as if it was inspired by the Seinfeld episode “The Bottle Deposit.” According to USA Today, Everidge allegedly transported 10,000 bottles and aluminum cans (in a Budget box truck) into Michigan from Kentucky because the latter state pays 10 cents for each beverage item you recycle. The former state pays nothing. Although Everidge resides in Michigan, it is actually against the law to return bottles that a person knowingly did not acquire in the state. Everidge has been charged with a single count of beverage return of nonrefundable bottles, which is a felony punishable by up to five years behind bars; a $5,000 fine; or both. Seriously! What’s the deal with that kind of harsh punishment for this kind of crime?!? Everidge, whose mug shot is below, was arrested for the crime in April when he was pulled over for driving 12 miles per hour over the speed limit on northbound U.S. 23. The officer who pulled him over noticed plastic bag after plastic bag filled with bottles and cans in the back of the vehicle. Everidge reportedly admitted at the time that he was bringing the items in from Kentucky in order to return them for deposit money. On the aforementioned Seinfeld episode, Kramer and Newman borrowed a mail truck and proceed to stuff it with empty bottles in order to take advantage of Michigan’s higher-than-usual bottle return payments. Assuming this was Everidge’s plan, he likely have probably made about $1,000, not counting money for gas, tolls and food. Of all the states with bottle bills, Michigan has the highest refund value, according to statistics from the Container Recycling Institute. Everidge’s attorney, meanwhile, did not say that his client was trying to emulate Kramer and Newman. But he did make a Seinfeld-like defense, telling LivingstonDaily.com that Everidge shouldn’t have been arrested because he never actually completed the crime. “They caught him too early,” defense attorney Marcus Wilcox said. “He attempted to attempt to return the bottles… this statute doesn’t fit.” Who else could see Jackie Chiles making this same clam?

Jokisha Brown’s Ex-Boyfriend Alfredo Capote Was Wanted For Her Rape, Kidnapping, Armed Robbery & More

Jokisha Brown’s Ex-Boyfriend Alfredo Capote Wanted For Rape, Kidnapping, Armed Robbery Yesterday, we reported a well-known Atlanta local was brutally gunned down just months after her abusive ex kidnapped her according to WSBTV reports: Police say someone shot Jokisha Brown while she was sitting in her car outside a strip of shops on the 2100 block of Cheshire Bridge Road around 10:15 p.m. Friday. “We’re actually interviewing witnesses on the scene. We do have a number of people who were on the scene when the incident occurred. We are collecting evidence, a number of shell casings,” said Atlanta Police Capt. Ben McGee. Brown’s friend, Jordan Jackson and others, confirmed to Gehlbach that Brown had been the victim of a violent and elaborate abduction from her Gwinnett County home. She escaped only by jumping from a moving car. “She went through a hard, very, very hard time with this breakup,” Jackson said. “She steadily voiced it, she feared for her life that something might happen to her.” Gwinnett police investigated Brown’s ex-boyfriend Alfredo Capote in April. Alfredo Capote had an extensive abusive history with Jokisha and was even wanted for her rape, kidnapping and more according to Crime Stoppers: Gwinnett County Police are actively searching for a violent and dangerous suspect named Alfredo L. Capote, (B/M 29 years old) of Atlanta, Georgia. He is wanted for the following charges; Rape, Armed Robbery, False Imprisonment and Kidnapping. On April 08, 2016, around 2 p.m. police were called to a home in Duluth where they met with a seventeen year old male. They learned that the previous day, April 07, 2016, around 7 a.m. his mother’s boyfriend, Alfredo Capote stopped by to visit. Shortly after Capote arrived at the home, a masked male entered the home and tied up the seventeen year old son and his thirty five year old mother. The mother was then told by Capote that the home invasion was staged because he needed her money. Capote then proceeded to rape the victim at gunpoint. He then tied her up. The son was told not to call police or his mother would be killed. The victim’s son was left tied up inside the home. He was able to free himself hours later. He did not call police fearing that his mother would be killed. The two suspects and the female victim left the home and traveled to a hotel in Cobb County where the two suspects went their separate ways. The victim spent the night at the hotel with Capote where she was raped overnight and held at gunpoint, unable to escape. The suspect and victim left the hotel the following morning and traveled to a home in Perry Georgia. After leaving that home, the victim saw a window of opportunity to escape and jumped out of the moving vehicle near an intersection. She jumped into a vehicle in the parking lot with an unknown person and pleaded for help. Police were called and the victim was saved around 4 p.m. The suspect has ties to Atlanta and is a native of Louisiana. He does not have an extensive criminal history. Michael Jace Found Guilty of Killing His Wife

Michael Jace, an actor best known for his role on FX’s The Shield, has been found guilty of murder. Jace was convicted of second-degree murder today for shooting his wife, April Jace, in front of the couple’s two young children in 2014, E! News has confirmed. He will appear in front of a judge on June 10 for sentencing and faces 40 years to life in state prison. An attorney for Jace had tried to argue in court that his client merely meant to wound his wife during a fight between the pair, which took place after April said she wanted a divorce. Jurors deliberated for fewer than three hours over the course of two days before arriving at the verdict.  The ruling was changed from first-degree to second-degree murder because the jury didn’t believe the crime was premeditated. Evidence, however, proved that Jace shot April three times during their confrontation. Jace was arrested after Los Angeles police officers responded to a 911 call. He was placed under arrest and held in jail on $2 million bail, at which time a protective order was issued for him to stay 100 yards away from his and April’s two sons. “I was just angry,” Jace told investigators, based on a transcript released Thursday. “All I intended to do was shoot her in the leg. And then I shot her in the leg and that was it.” Jace stood out for his role on The Shield, but also had appearances in Boogie Nights, Forrest Gump and the TNT drama Southland. Kanye West Studio Robbed in THIRD Kardashian Clan Hit This Month

Kanye West was robbed! And we don’t mean he was robbed out of winning a Grammy or major award, as he has raised sand about in the past, we mean he was really, physically robbed. A creative studio office the rapper maintains in Calabasas, California was burglarized last week, and authorities believe it was an inside job, reports TMZ. The thief pried open a door in the evening hours and made off with $20,000 worth of laptops and computers, the contents of which are unclear. Fortunately for ‘Ye, the gear was protected with high-tech security features, so none of the information stored was compromised. Yeezy’s team says they’ve already replaced the goods. While no suspects have been named, they believe the crime was perpetrated by someone who had an intimate knowledge of what was in the space. Interestingly, this is the third burglary in recent weeks that has affected extended members of the Kardashian-Jenner family. Earlier this month, the home of Blac Chyna, Rob Kardashian’s fiance was also hit . That crook absconded with $200,000 worth of jewelry taken from a safe. Again, police suspected an insider was behind the crime. “Signs point to the culprit being someone close to her and Rob,” a source reported, adding that there were “no obvious signs of entry.” Then just last week, Scott Disick was the victim of a home invasion in which a number of pieces in his valuable watch collection were stolen, including a Rolex valued at $32,000 and another timepiece worth $48,000. Scott’s house was targeted while he was vacationing in Cannes during its annual film festival. There were no signs of forced entry, leading police to believe this incident, too, was at the hands of an insider. Could all three crimes merely be a coincidence? What individual could possibly know these three so well to easily gain entry into their homes and offices? We imagine Kris Jenner and her kids are installing piranha-filled moats around their homes as we speak. View Slideshow: 16 Pearls of Kanye West Wisdom

Ashley Sawyer: Catfish Star’s Possible Cause of Death Revealed

Last night, the world was shocked to learn of the death of Ashley Sawyer , the star of one of the more memorable episodes of MTV’s Catfish . The news was confirmed to the public in a social media post from the network: “MTV is deeply saddened to learn that Ashley Sawyer has passed away,” the statement read. “Our condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.” No cause of death was given at the time, but now Radar Online is reporting that Sawyer’s passing appears to have been drug related . According to a statement from the Hoover (Alabama) Police Department’s public information officer, Chuck McDonald, EMTs responded to a 911 call just after midnight on Monday to find Sawyer unconscious in her apartment. “Arriving officers found a white female unconscious with bystanders/witnesses performing CPR,” McDonald revealed. “Officers attempted to revive the female with the Automated External Defibrillator (AED), to no avail.” McDonald didn’t speculate on the cause, but an autopsy report indicates that Sawyer’s death “may be related to a drug overdose, possibly heroin.” Police sources confirm that Sawyer received a dose of Narcan, which is typically administered only in cases of narcotic overdose. The 23-year-old was reportedly pronounced dead on the scene. Sawyer’s episode is remembered by Catfish fans for the revelation that she and online friend Michael Fortunato were both “catfishing” one another by misrepresenting their identities online. Tragically, Fortunato died of a pulmonary embolism at the age of 26 just one month after the episode aired. Sawyer appeared on a recent catch-up episode and revealed that she had been staying in a sober-living facility after struggling with substance abuse for several years. “Shocked and saddened by the death of Ashley Sawyer,” Catfish co-host Max Joseph tweeted yesterday, “So sweet and kind. Thoughts and prayers go out to her family.” View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Passed Away in 2016: Gone, But Not Forgotten

The beloved comedian and actor tweeted a loving tribute to McNamara one week after her death, writing: “She wrote lines that stung & hummed. 13 years in her presence was happily humbling. #RIPMichelleMcNamara.” He included a link to make donations to in McNamara’s honor to 826LA, an organization that assists students with their writing skills. Fans of Oswalt’s know that he and his McNamara – a writer who operated the website True Crime Diary – shared a common love of words. The comic is as well-known for his eloquence as for his cunning wit, so it was no surprise when he paid more long-form tribute to his beloved wife of 11 years in a way that honored both her work and her devotion to her husband and daughter. He accomplished that today, in an essay for Time magazine that is both moving and full of surprising revelations about a life well-lived: After recounting her tireless work for the website that made hers a familiar name in certain online circles, Oswalt recalls McNamara’s earlier days and lesser-known achievements: “Those are facts but not her entire story,” he writes. “Her life also involved social work in Belfast and Oakland, and screenwriting in Los Angeles, and teaching creative writing at Minnesota State, and motherhood and marriage and glorious, lost years on the outskirts of the early 90s Chicago music scene, where she also worked for a young Michelle Obama. “One day Michelle Obama’s husband came into the office to speak to the staff. He was impressive and funny. Another encounter, another memory in a life spent fascinated with people and relationships and the unknown. “The reaction to her passing, the people who are shocked at her senseless absence, is a testament to how she steered her life with joyous, wicked curiosity. Cops and comedians call—speechless or sending curt regards. “Her family is devastated but can’t help remember all of the times she made them laugh or comforted them, and they smile and laugh themselves. She hasn’t left a void. She’s left a blast crater.” You can read Oswalt’s entire tribute to McNamara  at Time magazine’s website now.
