SMH… Man Punches Elderly Man For Sneezing One Queens man was so concerned about contracting the sniffles that he knocked out an elderly man who he felt was spreading his bacteria a little too closely for his comfort. Via NYpost : A germaphobic punk punched an elderly man who sneezed near him at a Queens subway station Wednesday, police said. The thug slugged on the left side of the sneezy 68-year-old’s face on the mezzanine at the Roosevelt Avenue- 74th Street subway station in Jackson Heights about 6:30 p.m. Christmas Eve, cops said Thrusday. The blow sent the victim tumbling to the station’s floor. The attacker then then fled through the station’s doors and is still at large. The victim suffered bruises on the back of his head, but did not black out. He was treated at Elmhurst Hospital. According to surveillance footage, the suspect appears to be in his thirties and six feet tall. He was wearing dark sunglasses and a waist-length jacket. Cops are asking anyone who can identify him to call 1-800-577 TIPS, or to visit the Crime Stoppers’ website at http://www.nypdcrimestoppers.com . Hey. Cold & flu season is some serious stuff. And the winner of the Internet this weekend is… MACAULAY CULKIN!!! The child star became the latest celebrity to have his death prematurely reported on the Internet yesterday, with chatter going around that Culkin was found dead in his Manhattan apartment. Fortunately, Culkin is alive and very well and responded to the hoax in a seriously hilarious manner: by going all Weekend at Bernie’s on us! Via the official Twitter account of his rock back (The Pizza Underground), Culkin is seen above making like the title character in the aforementioned comedy, which centers on a couple of friends pretending all weekend as if they’re friend Bernie is actually alive. “Weekend at bernies with @anchovywarhol #greenroom,” the band’s handle captioned the picture of Culkin, jokingly playing dead in the arms of his bandmate. Incredibly, yesterday marked the second time this year that Culkin was rumored to have passed away. A couple years ago, meanwhile, The National Enquirer claimed Culkin was spending $6,000 per month on a heroin addiction. This allegation surfaced around the same time as photos of a very thin Culkin also appeared on the World Wide Web. It’s unclear why folks like to spread lies about Culkin, though perhaps some are jealous that he’s seen Mila Kunis nude . The two stars dated for many years prior to Kunis procreating with Ashton Kutcher. According to TMZ, the trouble actor was riding his bike on Hollywood Boulevard last week when he spotted a man wearing an expensive necklace. The former Newsradio star supposedly asked the victim if he could see it and the man, recognizing Dick, responded in the affirmative. Authorities say Dick then simply rode away with the item, which was later valued at $1,000. The man reported the crime and police arrested Dick when they found him on his bike near his home Friday night. The copes arrested Dick for grand theft and and he sat in jail until posting $25,000 bond Saturday morning. In addition to NewsRadio, Dick briefly had his own program on MTV and enjoyed roles in several movies. He also was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars last year. In January 2012, Dick was accused of battery against a tourist in Hollywood, while he also went on an Anti-Semitic rant in August 2011 and was arrested that same year for disorderly conduct. The guy clearly has some problems, regardless of his guilt in this latest incident. Let’s hope he seeks professional help. Celebrities Who Have Been Arrested in 2014 1. Oh, Arrow. How many times can you mess with our heart? On Arrow Season 3 Episode 1 , Oliver was actually happy. For a little while at least. This is partly because his team totally has this crime-fighting down to a science, as evidenced by the high-paced opening action scene: Felicity is aptly monitoring communications… Diggle is in charge of securing a shipment of black market weapons… and Oliver and Roy Arsenel are all over the bad guys. Who said being a superhero had to be tough? Watch Arrow Season 3 Episode 1 Online But when we see a new drug dealer take over a crime group and become Starling City’s new Count Vertigo. His first act is to kill Oliver Queen. We also later meet Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer, who bond with Felicity at her electronic retail store over his desire to purchase a satellite frequency communicator. It’s then time for the moment all shippers have been waiting for: Ollie and Felicity on a date! For real! Oliver opens up about his time in Hong Kong and his trust issues and how she helped change him and it’s all going well… until Count Vertigo fires a rocket into the restaurant. He had tracked Oliver to the restaurant via a GPS on his suit and Oliver is upset that he allowed his feelings for Felicity to distract him from noticing it. After getting injected by a serum by his new enemy, Oliver is saved by Detective Lance, though his heart gives out and the Count escapes when Oliver goes to check on him (Lance would be hospitalized and end up fine). Still, Oliver is torn: Can he ever be a regular person AND Arrow? Later on, with the help of Sara, Oliver will defeat the new Count, but not before he ominously tells Arrow that a new enemy will just crop up to take his place. Back at Queen Consolidated, Palmer shows up and gives a very strong presentation to the board, which contains data he stole using Felicity’s advice. He has a plan to resurrect the company and the city, which he wants to rename Star City. Palmer later offers Felicity a job, which she turns down. Meanwhile, Diggle and Lyla have their baby, which prompts a talk between Oliver and Felicity. She wants him to just tell her that they can “never” be together due to his alter-ego, but he interrupts her speech with a kiss. It’s an amazing moment, yet it doesn’t mean they’re together. Quite the opposite in Felicity’s view, in fact. And now we get to it: After meeting up with Laurel on the roof of a building, Sara gets shot by three arrows to her chest and plummets to her death. It’s a sad moment, but also a necessary one, as it will jumpstart Laurel’s character and have a lasting impact on everyone we know and love. Quite an opener, huh? It’s been a tough couple weeks for little girls around the country. First, they learned that Hello Kitty is not actually a kitty. Some took this news VERY hard . Then, they tried to steal lipstick out of their mother’s bedroom, only to be caught red-handed… well, red-lipped, to be more specific. Black Brooklyn Women Force White Tenants Out At Gunpoint Via NY Daily News reports: Two women were arrested after they robbed and then intimidated three tenants out of their Brooklyn apartment — and the crime was partly motivated by race and class resentment, law enforcement sources said. Precious Parker, 30, and Sabrina James, 23, knocked on the door of an apartment building on Ocean Ave. near Newkirk Ave. in Flatbush at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday and held a 34-year-old man, a 37-year-old man, and a 25-year-old woman at gunpoint demanding they move out or be killed, police said. The women then stole $800, an iPhone and personal information from the tenants, police said. The terrified residents left soon after, said a night porter, who declined to give his name. “They just left,” he said. “They said somebody wants to kill them.” The usurpers then squatted in the apartment, a law enforcement source said. The source added the trio may have been targeted because of their race, as one of the women said she didn’t like “that white people were moving into the area,” the police source said. Both women were arrested Saturday in the apartment and charged with robbery and unlawful imprisonment, police said. Cops recovered a handgun, a law enforcement source said. Bye hipsters! Brothers Freed After 30 Years For Crime They Didn’t Commit Wow. We’re happy that these wrongfully accused brothers are finally free, but after 30 years?!?!?!?!? Via Telegraph UK: Two mentally impaired half-brothers were freed on Tuesday after serving three decades in a United States prison for the rape and murder of a child that they did not commit. A judge in Robeson County said that Henry Lee McCollum, 50, North Carolina state’s longest-serving death-row inmate, and Leon Brown, 46, were innocent of the 1983 rape and killing of 11-year-old Sabrina Buie after new DNA evidence came to light. Both are severely intellectually disabled and were teenagers at the time of their arrests in 1983. Following false confessions, McCollum was given a death sentence and Brown was serving life for the rape. “This case highlights in a most dramatic manner the importance of finding the truth,” said Ann Kirby, attorney for Brown. “Today, truth has prevailed, but it comes 30 years too late for Sabrina Buie and her family, and for Leon, Henry, and their families. “Their sadness, grief, and loss will remain with them forever.” North Carolina state law now requires homicide interrogations to be recorded or videotaped, but at the time the brothers were convicted such laws were not in effect. Hopefully the DNA results will lead North Carolina to the person who actually raped and murdered Sabrina Buie. SMH.
