The story centers on the bloody capture of Baghdad by American forces at the onset of the Iraq War, when three battalions and fewer than a thousand men launched a violent thrust of tanks and Bradley Fighting Vehicles into the heart of a city of five million, igniting a three-day blitzkrieg, which military professionals often refer to as a lightning strike. Hyde Park International is handling sales at the Cannes Market. Meek Mill Keeps Chasing The Dream On New Mixtape

‘I’m just giving everybody my view of how I’m living,’ Milly tells Mixtape Daily of just-released Dream Chasers 2. By Rob Markman, with reporting by James Lacsina Meek Mill Photo: MTV News Mixtape Daily Main Pick Headliners : Meek Mill And DJ Drama Representing : Philadelphia, PA Mixtape : Dream Chasers 2 Real Spit : Hard to imagine that anyone is still sleeping on Meek Mill these days, but don’t think for a second that all his rap popularity came overnight. Meek made his name battling on the streets of his native Philadelphia, proved his in-studio worth with an impressive string of mixtapes, then Rick Ross came knocking in 2011, Maybach Music deal in hand. Some would say Meek Mill is living his dream, but if you let the Philly flame-spitter tell it, he’s still chasing it. On Monday (May 7), Meek dropped Dream Chasers 2, the follow-up to last year’s critically acclaimed mixtape . “My city lacks dream chasers,” Meek Milly told Mixtape Daily. “It’s motivational, inspiring, my story, but this time, I’m just more loose with it. I’ve been seeing more things, been around the world a little bit more.” Though the MMG young gun has grown as an MC, the music on DC2 is just as edgy as its predecessor. On the tape’s intro, Meek sets an aggressive tone, spitting, “I got 30 racks in my pocket, I keep 30 shots in my clip/ I get 30 racks for my verses, y’all ain’t gettin’ paper like this.” On the aggressively paced “Flexing,” Meek once again links with “I’ma Boss” producer Jahlil Beats, and on “Everyday,” he rides with his MMG boss Rick Ross over a menacing sound bed. While hard-granite rap is his strong point, Milly is no one-trick pony; he does venture out of the streets from time to time. For “Ready or Not,” producer All Star conjures a beat based off the popular 1996 Fugees song of the same name. The subdued instrumental allows the young MC the space to get introspective. “It’s a dark cloud over me, money took control of me/ I’m barely getting time to see my son and that sh– hurtin’ me/ Baby mama trippin’, I tell her to work with me/ I’m on probation, still strapped, ’cause n—as wanna murder me.” “Use to Be” shows even more vulnerability. Over what sounds like a muted heartbeat with soft piano keys laid atop, the promising rap product opens up even more about his demons. “When I was young, I started plannin’ it out/ My daddy got killed, I was the man of the house/ By the age of 16, man them hammers was out/ So when n—as tried to hit me, I’m just handin’ ’em out.” “I’m just giving everybody my view of how I’m living and relating to other people’s stories and bringing the part of the game that I need to bring to the game,” Meek said of his intentions when recording the tape. On Dream Chasers 2, Meek Mill surely serves his underground base but proves that he has a knack for making big records as well. It’s a safe bet that “Amen” featuring Drake and Jeremih will become a radio mainstay at least until August 28, when he drops his debut album, Dreams and Nightmares. Still, there is no one record that can define Meek’s latest work, and even if he’s accomplished some of his goals, we’re quite confident he’d just dream up a few more. Joints to Check For

Tareq Salahi Re-Files Frivolous Lawsuit, Claims Neal Schon Cost Him $50 Million

Tareq Salahi ‘s lawsuit against his estranged wife Michaele Salahi was recently dismissed, but he’s instead turned his focus to her lover, Journey guitarist Neal Schon, the band’s personal recording label and their publicist. Yep, he’s re-filing a lawsuit against all of the above. Tareq alleged that Michaele and Neal’s 2011 affair was a calculated attempt to re-launch the struggling rock band, ruining Tareq in the process. The male Salahi says that when he was doing Michaele, Neal Schon was also screwing him out of a deal with Oprah Winfrey (!?), a $300,000 gig on Dancing With the Stars and a big-screen adaptation of their life. Mmm hmm. The pair was to receive 40 percent of the sale, he claims … so approximately $8.00 total gross, assuming the two of them even bought tickets. Tareq also alleges the affair also cut off paid interviews and appearances, despite the fact that he got quite a lot of mileage out of whining about it. He also modestly calls himself and Michaele “instant international celebrities” and “household names” after crashing a White House state dinner. Their “gate-crashing” resulted in the Salahis “being offered regular paid appearances as ‘The Salahis,’” he claims … and they’re no longer. Tareq added: “The Salahis” became a “financially prosperous enterprise.” Sadly for him, that ship has sailed, along with any hope of winning this case.

Double Take: Getting To The Bottom Of ‘Hot Problems’

The teen twosome talks to MTV News about their viral video and how it all happened… sort of. By Jocelyn Vena Double Take in their “Hot Problems” music video Photo: Old Bailey Productions Three days and more than 1 million streams later, Double Take are certifiable Internet sensations. The teen twosome’s track, the hotly debated “Hot Problems,” is a song about all the troubles attractive people face, if you couldn’t guess from the title. The video features little more than the high school seniors hanging out in a limo mugging for the camera. The two high schoolers have risen to the ranks of Rebecca Black heights, but very little is actually known about them. And, when MTV News chatted with them on Thursday afternoon, it seemed they still wanted to keep the details about who they are and who is helping them become so popular as vague as possible. “We’re working with a production company, but it’s more of a behind-the-scenes thing,” Lauren explained. “We don’t like to talk about it that much.” The girls wouldn’t give their last names, and only added this information about how “Hot Problems” ended up an Internet hot commodity: “We are getting some help, but in the end we have friends helping us out, a bunch of different people. We don’t want to drag them into this,” she added, not confirming what the role of Old Bailey Productions has. “It’s been crazy for us too to get so much attention and we don’t want this to affect their lives too much.” On their video’s

Wiz Khalifa ‘Kinda Freaked’ Out By Tupac Hologram

‘Dr. Dre and Snoop are alive, so that was pretty awesome to be up there with them,’ Wiz tells MTV News. By Rob Markman, with reporting by James Lacsina Wiz Khalifa Photo: MTV News Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg didn’t just bring out the Tupac hologram at Coachella, they had some pretty awe-inspiring live guests as well: Eminem, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar, Warren G and Wiz Khalifa . Wiz marched onstage early on to perform his and Snoop’s platinum single “Young, Wild and Free” and wasn’t on hand to witness the holographic Tupac stunt. But the Pittsburgh MC was hyped to share the stage with the living legends. “I went out before the holographic Tupac so I actually didn’t get to share [the stage],” Khalifa told MTV News on Wednesday during a break from shooting the “Payphone” music video with Maroon 5. “It’s cool. Dr. Dre and Snoop are alive, so that was pretty awesome to be up there with them, but yeah, it was awesome.” Khalifa admitted that the ‘Pac-o-gram made him a bit uneasy though. “I don’t know, it kinda freaked me out,” he said. Kendrick Lamar , who performed his new single “The Recipe” alongside Dr. Dre that same night, was excited by the optical illusion. “It was just a crazy feeling, made me think of that one moment when I seen dude in real life,” K. Dot told MTV News. The Good Doctor told TMZ that he hopes to expand on the technology that was used to resurrect the fallen rap legend onstage. “Right now it’s flat, it just looks like it’s three-dimensional from the front. But I’m working on some new and different things for the future,” he said. “Hopefully, we can see Jimi Hendrix and Marvin Gaye. Let’s see what happens.” Related Photos Tupac’s Hologram At Coachella Related Artists Wiz Khalifa Tupac

Kelly Brook Bikini Tumblr Pictures

I don’t have a Tumblr account, I didn’t even know there was such a thing as a Tumblr account, but Kelly Brook has one and she certainly knows how to use it. Here are some sexy shots she posted of herself on vacation in a whole bunch of different bikinis and bathing suits. I’m finding it very difficult to decide which one of these is my favorite, they’re all so hot, but I think I’ve got to go with the shots of her squeezing her breasts together. #internetboner

Scarlett Johansson’s Cleavage Needs Work

You can’t go wrong with a few shots of Scarlett Johansson in a low cut dress. Here she is promoting her Avengers movie somewhere giving us a pretty quality look at those sweet soft pectorals. Alright so they’re not as prominently displayed as I’d like them, touching her forearms together in front of her body would take care of that, but it’s a pretty good start. I’m assuming we’re going to be seeing a whole lot more of her before the movie gets released so I’m sure she’ rectify the issue. They should have a bikini beach party premiere. Something different.

Missy Elliott’s ‘Eavesdropping’ Led To Monica’s ‘So Gone’

‘I’m embracing the things that are different now and the things that have changed for me,’ Monica tells MTV News of New Life album. By Rob Markman Monica Photo: MTV News Monica may have titled her latest album New Life, but there are some things the velvety-voiced singer wanted to keep the same — including her working relationship with Missy Elliott . ” New Life was just me saying, ‘This is the place that I’m at and I’m embracing the things that are different now and the things that have changed for me,’ ” she told MTV News on Tuesday (April 10). The duo have worked together for years, and in 2003, they came up with one of Monica’s most memorable songs to date: “So Gone.” It’s a chemistry that neither wants to abandon anytime soon. “Missy is one of my dearest friends, and I think her humility and her compassion for other people is what makes her music so great,” Monica said. The bond that both women share is the reason they yield such memorable results. “Knock Knock,” “A Dozen Roses (Remind Me of You)” and the Grammy-nominated “Everything to Me” are just a few of the records on which they’ve collaborated. Monica counts “So Gone” as her favorite to date. “She wrote that record after eavesdropping on my phone conversation,” Monica recalled, laughing. “So when you think about things like that, that can only be done by somebody that’s very close to you.” Elliott didn’t write Monica’s lyrics — Jazmine Sullivan gets credit for that — but Missy did produce the breakup ode. The two worked out of Missy’s house in Atlanta and came up with songs that were vocally challenging for the veteran singer. This time, though, there was no eavesdropping. “When it came to ‘Until It’s Gone,’ I probably was just sharing,” Monica laughed. “I was already in a sharing mood.” What’s your favorite song from Monica’s New Life ? By Kara Warner with reporting by James Lacsina Dancers on “America’s Best Dance Crew” Photo: MTV Do you feel that extra energy in the air? Are your toes tappin’ for no reason? Those feelings can only mean one thing: There’s just one day left until the season seven premiere of “Randy Jackson Presents: America’s Best Dance Crew.” Every season has been one for the record books, simply because the talent among the diverse dance crews just keeps getting better. Season seven is shaping up to be the best season yet, but don’t take our word for it, check out what ABDC judges JC Chasez and Lil Mama said when MTV News caught up with them recently. “The only thing that’s going to be able to top last season is an incredible performance,” Chasez told MTV News recently. “That’s what we’re all waiting for, the next great performance. What is this next star going to do to raise the bar? That’s what we’re hoping to get out of this next season.” “The show is so innovative it’s always new,” added Lil Mama. “There’s always new chemistry. When the crews come onto the show, of course they build a fanbase, but what is more important is that they build a family base,” she explained. “They build a family and they become family with one another and when they come out on that stage everything that they go through they go through together as a crew, together as a unit of ABDC and as individuals.” This season, dubbed “Return of the Superstars,” will feature nine all-new hip-hop dance crews and one returning past crew, a fan favorite from season two, Fanny Pak. This is the first time in the series’ history a crew from a prior season will return to compete for the title. In addition, each episode will have a different theme, built around a popular celebrity artist. Dance crews will be challenged to push themselves to create astonishing performances inspired by the music and persona of the artist of the week. Those artists include Madonna, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Pitbull, David Guetta, Flo Rida and LMFAO, among others. Don’t miss the season seven premiere of airing Wednesday, April 11, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV! For continuing “Crew” coverage, be sure to check in with MTV’s blog. Related Artists JC Chasez Lil Mama
