will.i.am And Jennifer Lopez Glow In The Dark At AMAs

Mick Jagger also appeared via video screen for debut performance of ‘T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever.)’ By James Dinh will.i.am performs at the 2011 AMAs Photo: Getty Images Sunday night’s (November 20) 2011 American Music Awards were full of onstage collaborations, and one of the most entertaining was will.i.am, Jennifer Lopez and Mick Jagger’s debut performance of “T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever).” In between two life-size stereos, Jenny from the Block kicked off the bass-heavy number with the song’s chorus line: “You can go hard or you can go home.” Shortly into the performance, you could tell this hitmaking crew clearly went hard. Utilizing the pitch-black Nokia Theatre and dancers’ lit-up ensembles, will.i.am delivered a complete glow-in-the-dark performance that included floating dancers, a headless will and even a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it disappearing act. Lopez played up her part as featured guest, and even though Jagger was missing from the action, the Rolling Stones frontman did appear via video for his portion of the dance tune. To conclude the number, glowing confetti filled the air. “T.H.E (The Hardest Ever)” is the lead single from will’s forthcoming solo album, #willpower, which is expected to drop next year. Produced by Audiobot, Dallas Austin and will himself, “T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)” was released on iTunes immediately after the AMA performance. Rich Lee directed the video for the song, which was shot in Los Angeles and London; it is expected to premiere later this month. What did you think of will.i.am’s glow-in-the-dark performance? When are these fools going to be a little more discerning of the hoes they associate with and keep around them? Philadelphia Eagles star Michael Vick is caught up in a naked photo scandal and RadarOnline.com has exclusive details. A woman claiming to have a “full frontal” picture of Vick is shopping it around to various media outlets in an attempt for some financial gain. However, Vick’s camp exclusively tells RadarOnline.com that he has better things to worry about — but doesn’t outright deny that the photo exists. “The only thing Mike has on his mind is his date with the Chicago Bears this evening,” his rep Rick French [told] RadarOnline.com [yesterday]. “The rest of what this woman is claiming isn’t worth dignifying.” According to one website the woman contacted, she told them the photo was easily identifiable as Vick because the unique tattoos “that appear all over his body including his signature super man tatoo [sic].” The woman claims the photo was taken less than a year ago in a hotel room in Dallas, Texas. “He is in the bathroom of the hotel room the night before the game taking the photos of himself,” the woman claims. “It is from the neck down with all tattoos visible.” Forgot about that little detail, huh Mike? Erykah Badu Reveals First Job Working For Steve Harvey

Read the rest here:

In the latest issue of GQ Magazine singer Erykah Badu tells writer Sean Fennessy about her early days working at Steve Harvey’s comedy house. The artist said she was doing more acting at the time and even tried her hand at stand-up. Given her sense of humor we think she should give it another shot. Read on… GQ: You were a rapper at one point, too. Was there a time when being an MC seemed more likely for you than being a singer? Erykah Badu: That was back when I was in college. I went to [Grambling State] university from 1989 to ’93 to study theater, so I was an actor at that point. It wasn’t my aspiration to be a singer, it was to be an artist. When I was 23 or 24, I was rapping and emceeing a lot with Free, but I was also working at Steve Harvey’s comedy house. He was my boss—the best boss ever. Funny, generous, considerate, and he knew I was an artist. When I started working there I was a waitress, and somehow I became a hostess. When he knew he could trust me, he moved me to the ticket booth. I handled money and helped organize transportation and hotel reservations for the comedians that came in. I noticed Steve didn’t have a stage manager, so I got that job, making sure everybody was taken care of. I love being of service to people—the whole act of it is really great to me. One day Steve was late going onstage, so I went out to the mic and threw out some jokes and stuff. People were laughing and heckling and having fun and Steve came onstage and scolded me in front of everybody. It was so funny. We started doing it every night. [Laughs] It felt like, This is where I want to be . Steve was really inspirational in that. Read More At GQ RELATED POSTS: Black Hollywood Attends Black Girls Rock! ‘Breaking Dawn’ ‘Blew My Mind,’ Christina Perri Says

Soundtrack artist reviews November 18 entry in the ‘Twilight’ franchise for MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in “Breaking Dawn” Photo: Andrew Cooper/ Summit Entertainment One of the perks of being asked to contribute to a soundtrack includes seeing the flick long before anyone else. For self-proclaimed Twilighter Christina Perri, getting a first look at “Breaking Dawn- Part 1” before it opens November 18 was a pretty big deal. “When I screened the movie, it was definitely one of my favorite days ever,” she told MTV News on the set of the video for her “Breaking Dawn” track, “A Thousand Years.” “I went with all these Hollywood people, and they were there for work, and I was there for work to get inspired to write a song, but I was an

Demi Lovato: Behind Her World Series National Anthem

We follow the singer as she returns to her hometown to sing the ‘Star-Spangled Banner’ and cheer the Texas Rangers to victory. By Matt Harper Demi Lovato sings the National Anthem prior to Game 5 of the 2011 World Series Photo: MLB/Getty Fifteen minutes before taking the field to sing the national anthem near her hometown of Dallas at Game 5 of the World Series, Demi Lovato admitted to MTV News just how nervous she was. “I feel like I’m about to jump out of a plane,” the young star confided nervously after warming up her vocals in a back room deep in the heart of Arlington, Texas’ Rangers Ballpark. “Although this is a lot safer.” MTV News got the opportunity to spend the day with Demi as she prepped for the big moment. Minutes before stepping out in front of 51,000 people, she was cracking jokes, but it was plain to see that she was nervous — extremely excited, but definitely nervous. Just seventeen minutes later, and Demi’s smile said everything you needed to know about how her performance went. Standing on the field watching the 19-year-old belt out the notoriously difficult song, it was hard not to get swept up in the emotion of it all. Even before the end of the anthem, hitting a particularly difficult note in stride, the crowd erupted in premature cheering. As fireworks erupted and the crowd stood cheering, Demi left the field smiling. As we walked through the back hallways of the stadium, we were stopped every few feet by fans, athletes and MLB officials telling Demi how amazing she had done. After posing for photos with a few fans, Demi was approached by Dodgers center fielder Matt Kemp, who had also just left the field after being given the 2011 Hank Aaron Award as the most outstanding offensive player in the National League. Kemp took a moment to congratulate Demi and ask for a picture with her. Finally back in the green room, Demi was able to stop and think back on the whirlwind 20 minutes. Her family and friends were all there to support her, and they gushed about seeing the performance on TV and how clearly moved the players and fans were. In the company of her support circle, Demi was able to relax and laugh and let the nervous energy of the day roll away. All that was left was to sit back and spend time with the people that she cared about the most — and cheer on the Rangers, of course. We all traveled to our seats to watch the World Series game, and Demi sat in-between her aunt and one of her childhood friends, with other relatives and close friends flanking her on either side. For the next few hours, Demi got to watch the exciting game like the rest of the 50,999 fans in the stadium, eating popcorn and standing up to cheer as the Texas Rangers’ Mike Napoli got the final out of the game to seal Texas’ 4-2 win over the St-Louis Cardinals. A perfect end to a long and exciting day for Demi Lovato. How did Demi do on the anthem? Let us know in the comments! Related Videos MTV News Extended Play: Demi Lovato Related Artists Demi Lovato

Stalley Says Lincoln Way Nights Re-Release ‘A Whole Different Project’

Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group signee has MTV’s Jam of the Week. By Steven Roberts Stalley Photo: MTV News Stalley ‘s inclusion in Rick Ross’ “invincible” Maybach Music Group probably came as a surprise to plenty of people — because it definitely came as a surprise to the Ohio MC himself. Arguably lesser-known than Wale, Meek Mill and Pill were before they joined the team, Stalley nevertheless caught the Bawse’s attention. When MTV News caught up with the rapper earlier this week, he said New Orleans spitter Curren$y actually linked them up. “Curren$y had called me, and he told me that Ross was looking for me and that he wanted to reach out,” Stalley recalled. “Curren$y asked if it was OK if he gave Ross my number, and I was like, ‘Yeah, of course.’ ” Stalley said Ross flew him down to Dallas during the first leg of Lil Wayne’s I Am Still Music Tour and asked if he wanted to be a part of the team. Stalley said he jumped at the opportunity because he felt the team was very family-oriented and that he would retain total control of what he was already doing. It’s a few months later, and Stalley has MTV’s Jam of the Week for the remix of his “Lincoln Way Nights (Shop)” featuring Ross. The video, which was directed by Spiff TV, features the two rappers riding around, eating lavishly. Stalley is set to re-release his mixtape, Lincoln Way Nights (Intelligent Trunk Music) on November 1, completely re-mastered by Young Guru and Tony Dorsey. “It sounds like a whole different project,” he said.” I’m just very excited, and I’m very happy to re-release it for those who might have not got to hear it.” Related Artists Stalley

Alexandra Breckenridge On Cable Standards & Practices: "You Can’t Show Nipple and Hoo-ha, Basically"

True Blood babe Alexandra Breckenridge is clearly reveling in her new role as a sexy maid on the FX series American Horror Story – so much so, in fact, that she told NBC Dallas that “It’s this overt sexuality that I’ve never had the opportunity to explore as an actor…[when] I read the script I about shit myself.” Woah there, Alex! But speaking of expelling bodily fluids, male fans of this supernaturally hot boob tube star will be slappy to know she may be leaving that maid’s uniform at home for a few episodes: “I’ve done nudity and it doesn’t bother me, doing it or seeing it,” she says. ” I potentially could be showing my ass several times. You can show back, you can show side – you just can’t show the bits. You just can’t show nipple and hoo-ha, basically.” Members can see Alexandra Breckenridge ‘s bits on our True Blood page, right here at MrSkin.com!

Jamie Foxx Clarifies Hairdo, On ‘When I Was 17’

‘I had the major curl, not the Jheri curl,’ he explains on new episode, airing Saturday at 11 a.m. ET/PT on MTV. By Sara Waber Jamie Foxx Photo: MTV Jamie Foxx reveals the appalling misconception of his hairdo during the ’80s on this week’s episode of “When I Was 17,” airing Saturday at 11 a.m. ET/PT on MTV. “When I was 17, I had the major curl, not the Jheri curl,” Foxx says. “A lot of people get it twisted and confused, and they say ‘Jheri curl.’ ” What’s the difference, you’re wondering? He explains, “I had the little curls in the front and the big ones in the back.” His friend Gilbert shares who else worked this ‘do: “I would link the major curl to women or pimps, for the most part.” But growing up in a small town in Texas, Jamie’s major curl must have helped him stand out from the crowd. “Where I grew up was Terrell, Texas, right outside of Dallas: 12,000 people, a small town where everybody knew everybody,” he says. Besides maintaining his hairdo, Foxx tells us how he spent the rest of his time when he was 17: “It was just real simple. It was about having a crush on a girl, walking her from the football stadium, holding hands. You go park, and the cops bang on the door, ‘What y’all doing?’ ” Nobody likes a flattened major curl. “When I Was 17” — this week featuring Jamie Foxx, Tia and Tamera Mowry, and Chris Bosh — airs Saturday at 11 a.m. ET/PT on MTV.
