A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against Ryan Dunn, the late Jackass star who died in a car accident last June. The parents of the passenger in the vehicle, who also passed away, are suing Dunn’s estate for damages . Dunn was reportedly driving his Porsche at 132 mph when he lost control and struck a tree in rural Pennsylvania. He and Zachery Hartwell were killed. Ryan was allegedly extremely drunk at the time. The Ryan Dunn lawsuit names both Dunn and the Barnaby’s of America in West Chester, Pa., the bar where he was said to be drinking before the crash. Hartwell’s parents believe the establishment was negligent in serving alcohol to Dunn when it was obvious he was drunk and in no condition to drive. Dunn may still be liable despite the fact that he is dead. Generally, an injured party can sue a deceased person by going after the deceased person’s estate, though time and monetary limits vary by state. Interestingly, Zachery Hartwell’s parents are seeking from Dunn’s estate any wages Hartwell would have earned during his life … potentially a lot. [Photo: WENN.com]

Father Ordered To Pay Kids $60 Million For Killing Their Mother Justice was finally served in a family murder mystery that left two young children motherless. A California jury on Tuesday found a former software developer at the center of a sensational murder trial liable for the 2006 death of his estranged wife and awarded their two children $60 million in damages, court documents show. Hans Reiser, who created a computer file used in the Linux operating system, was convicted in 2008 of murdering his wife Nina after a high-profile trial despite the fact that neither a body nor a murder weapon was produced for the jury. Reiser, 48, initially claimed his Russian-born wife was alive and living in Russia. Two days before a scheduled sentencing hearing, however, Reiser led police to a woodsy part of the Oakland hills, where her body was found wrapped in a black bag. Nina Reiser’s mother filed a civil lawsuit against him on behalf of the two children – Rory, 12, and Niorline, 11. The jury on Tuesday found Reiser liable for wrongful death. It awarded each child $25 million and ordered Reiser to also pay punitive damages of $10 million. Such a terribly sad story. Source Images via Shutterstock
For the most part celebrity kids are fucking annoying…except maybe Sage Stallone and Jet Travolta…you know cuz they are dead. What too soon? They are all spoiled and damaged becasue their parents are damaged but they manage to land gigs because they are products of nepotism and end up making more money than you, and they don’t even need to make unless they are Hailey Baldwin and their dad is Stephen Baldwin…possibly still a millionaire….but pretty hurting across the board… Pulled this from his wikipedia – you know since I don’t stay on top of Baldwin News…. Baldwin has a tattoo on his left shoulder of the initials “HM” for Hannah Montana. He got the tattoo after making a pact with Miley Cyrus that he would be allowed to cameo on the show if he had the initials tattooed on him. He revealed the tattoo to Cyrus at a book signing in Nashville, on November 10, 2008. He never appeared on the show. He has since said that he regrets getting the tattoo. Stephen and his wife, Kennya, defaulted on paying $824,488.36 on their mortgage. Baldwin’s home in Upper Grandview, (Rockland County) New York was being auctioned at the County Court House steps on June 12, 2009 after Bankers Trust Co. foreclosed on the home. Gannett News also reported that: “Additionally, county filings show the Baldwins owe National City Bank money for a separate mortgage and may owe tens of thousands in unpaid state and federal taxes on the property.” He filed for a Chapter 11 bankruptcy petition in New York, on July 21, 2009, according to a court document that says he is millions in debt. He claimed he owes more than $2.3 million and owns a New York property valued at only $1.1 million. His wife, Kennya Baldwin, also is named in the document. In December 2010, Baldwin filed a $3.8 million lawsuit against actor Kevin Costner over oil-separating technology that was used to help solve the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. In June 2012, a jury found in favor of Costner and awarded Baldwin no damages. Forcing poor Hailey to go out there at 16…all skinny and in a bikini…. to make a name for herself because her dad tried and didn’t pull it off…but he did enough to land a hot wife…cuz girls are all opportunists…luckily she is half brazilian and that’s really what matters here…. The house, the house, the house is on fire… Man Sets House On Fire After Using Blowtorch On Spider Webs Who needs California wildfires when you can blowtorch your own house ? If Eiliya Maida thought he hated spiders before, imagine how he must feel now. The California man accidentally set his house on fire while using a blowtorch to clear spider webs out of his backyard. The Chico Enterprise Record reports that dry plants in Maida’s backyard ignited as he was attempting to burn the webs. The plant fire then spread to the house, starting an attic fire. Maida was apparently unaware of starting the house fire until his brother-in-law George Basbous noticed the blaze. “And that’s when I went crazy,” Basbous said. Maida’s wife and two children safely exited the house, and no one was injured in the fire. Still, firefighters were forced to cut a hole in the house’s roof to put out the flames. Chico Fire Chief Keith Carter said the fire would have mushroomed if they hadn’t created the hole. Fire Inspector Marie Fickert told the paper that the family has been displaced as a result of the fire, which did approximately $25,000 in damages. This guy will be sleeping on the couch for the REST of the year. SMH. Source Image via Shutterstock
Rihanna has sued her former accountants for mismanaging the singer’s finances, claiming they earned huge commissions yet cost her millions of dollars. In a lawsuit filed in Manhattan federal court, the 24-year-old singer and her tour company, Tourihanna, is seeking an unspecified amount of damages. The pop superstar’s dealings with accountancy firm Berdon LLP and former employees Michael Mitnick and Peter Gounis are the subject of the lawsuit. The suit, first filed late in Tuesday ahead of the July 4 U.S. holiday, claims the accounting firm caused “significant financial losses” between 2005 and 2010. She accuses the firm of charging “exorbitant” commissions from Rihanna ‘s 2010 “Last Girl on Earth Tour” and mishandling Rihanna’s foreign and domestic taxes. “Between 2005 and 2010, Tourihanna suffered significant losses due to defendants’ financial mismanagement and other acts and omissions,” the lawsuit said. Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Fenty, is referred to in the suit as a financial novice who found fame at a young age and relied heavily on her accountants. In 2005, the Barbados native was 16 years old and “a minor with a booming music career and no knowledge or understanding of financial matters whatsoever.” The lawsuit said the accountants concealed facts regarding her finances and earned commissions on Rihanna’s revenue that was “exorbitant and expensive.” In addition, the firm assumed control over the singer’s affairs beyond the industry standard and failed to maximize her personal net worth and long term wealth. The lawsuit said Rihanna lost millions during “The Last Girl On Earth” tour after the firm failed to reconcile costs versus revenues while still paying itself millions. It estimated that between 2007 and 2010, the accountants earned commissions equaling 23 percent of total tour income, compared with 6 percent for Rihanna. The firm did not do monthly planning reports and performed little record-keeping of Rihanna’s personal and business expenses, including those for Tourihanna. For example, during 2008 and 2009, the accountants kept only 2 percent to 4 percent of all receipts for expenses charged on the singer’s personal credit card. It also failed to uncover millions in unpaid royalties and problems with the way in which Universal Music Group (UMG) was tracking Rihanna’s song royalties.
How might the potential firing of Ann Curry bring about a reunion between one of TV’s most beloved tandems? Well… Rumors are circulating that if when Curry is let go by The Today Show , her seat will be filled by Hota Kotb , who currently hosts the program’s fourth hour alongside Kathie Lee Gifford. This, of course, would leave an empty chair alongside Kathie Lee… and it might be occupied by Regis Philbin, sources say! Philbin and Gifford, of course, spent years by each other’s side on Live! every morning until the latter left in 2001 and was replaced by Kelly Ripa. Regis then retired from the program this year. NBC “absolutely loves Regis , and want to formally sign him to become a special contributor to Today and work with the network on entertainment specials,” an insider tells Radar Online. “If Hoda is chosen to become Matt Lauer’s co-anchor, Regis would be the natural choice to replace her.” Would you want to see Regis and Kathie Lee reunite on Today?
