Bar Refaeli. Shaun White. Not two people we would’ve predicted would get together, but who are we to judge, right? The snowboarding champ was spotted with Maxim’s newly crowned “hottest woman in the world” at NYC lounge Sway “ dancing, hugging and kissing ” Monday. Score one for the Flying Tomato. The New York Post writes that “the Israeli ex of Leonardo DiCaprio and the half-pipe hero promptly hit the dance floor, going for the gold in the canoodle-a-thon.” Mark that down as one of the best celebrity gossip lines of the year. “They were all over each other,” a spy said. “They were dancing, hugging, kissing … you name it.” Then “around 3 a.m.,” White gallantly walked her out. No word if Sean White has seen Bar Refaeli nude in person yet, but millions of Maxim readers have. Okay, probably more like a few thousand at this point. [Photo: WENN.com]

Pair, who recently collaborated on Drake’s ‘Take Care,’ allegedly took part in some dirty dancing at Liv nightclub. By Jocelyn Vena Photo: Kevork Djansezian/ Getty Images Rumor has it that Rihanna and her onetime paramour and frequent collaborator Drake got their dance on while clubbing together in Miami on Sunday night. According to an onlooker, their dancing got somewhat dirty while they partied at Miami’s Liv nightclub. The source told Usmagazine.com that the twosome got “hot and heavy” while out together, saying, “Rihanna was all over Drake this weekend. They were holding hands and dancing all close on the dance floor.” This is hardly the first time these two have sparked romance rumors. They briefly dated in 2009, but the relationship fizzled from romance to friendship. Since their platonic transition, they have collaborated on several hit tracks including Rihanna’s “What’s My Name?” and most recently Drizzy’s “Take Care.” They even steamed up the videos for both tracks by playing lovers. “We weren’t really sure what it was,” Rihanna told Elle magazine in 2011 about her relationship with the MC. “I definitely was attracted to Drake , but I think it is what it is, like what it was. We didn’t want to take it any further. It was a really fragile time in my life, so I just didn’t want to get too serious with anything or anyone at that time.” While it seems the twosome have since moved on from their ’09 fling , at the time, Drake had some strong emotions about the breakup. “She’s just such an overwhelming and incredible person,” Drake said. “And such a talented person and someone that I was like, ‘I can’t believe I’m here talking to this individual,’ that she just gave me that feeling like when I was 17 years old trying to take Nikki Ramos, this girl from Toronto, out on a date and she never wanted to go with me. She never would go; she would have a million excuses why she couldn’t talk to me. That’s how [Rihanna] made me feel, she made me feel small; she made me feel nervous. It just put me back to the Acura in Toronto, feeling like Aubrey Graham, not Drake.” Related Artists Rihanna Drake

Onetime Lady Gaga collaborator talks to MTV News about how she went from behind the scenes to center stage. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Vanessa White Wolf Laurieann Gibson Photo: Getty Images Laurieann Gibson has worked with artists like onetime muse Lady Gaga and current inspiration Nicki Minaj , helping the pop princesses craft stage spectacles and killer dance routines. But, having spent the last chapter of her career shaping the careers of other artists, the former Fly Girl feels now is the time for her to move from behind the shadows and kick-start her own music career. “When I began to choreograph and find my way pulling other artists’ dreams out and changing music in a visual way, there was still a part of me that had something more to say,” she told MTV News about working on her solo album. “There was still a desire to rock a stage and ultimately perform the eight count of my dream, but there was a lot of insecurity there.” It wasn’t until last year, however, that she found the strength to hit the studio for this album. And she channeled all of those feelings into her music, including her lead single, the dance-floor anthem “Last Chance.” “I put that into the album, into the lyrical content and I’m really proud of what is coming out of the studio,” she said. Gibson said she started working on the album after wrapping up her E! show “Born to Dance” and directing Gaga’s video for “Yo

Burning kids, breaking vows and snapping necks are the topics of conversation on this week’s ‘Thrones.’ By Josh Wigler Alfie Allen in “Game of Thrones” Photo: HBO Is there such a thing as going too far on “Game of Thrones”? Just ask the charred toddler hanging on the walls of Winterfell — he’ll have an answer, I’m sure. Season two has already seen no fewer than four of its currently aired seven episodes conclude with the death of a child in increasingly brutal fashion. And “A Man Without Honor” — the 17th hour of the series — was perhaps the cruelest of the bunch, thanks to Theon Greyjoy. Not quite the boy-monster that Joffrey is, Theon is definitely giving him competition for the show’s Most Loathsome Villain award. Even though the golden-haired demon child sat out of this week’s outing entirely (ironic, given the title of the episode), Joffrey’s presence hung heavily through Sansa and Cersei, both of whom are afraid of the boy king, but for very different reasons. Oh, and did we mention that a certain little kingslayer made his ugly comeback this week? Learn all about that and more in the rest of our “Game of Thrones” recap. Better to Be Cruel Than Weak If Theon is truly lost, then he’s finding his way back to himself through fire and blood, just like Dany. Unlike Dany, his version of “fire and blood” includes murdering innocent children to further his own agenda. Theon has very clearly lost it at this point. In addition to slaying kids who may or may not be Bran and Rickon (you know the rule of fiction, guys — unless you see a character die, they’re never really dead), he’s taken to physically harming every single person who opposes him. Poor Ser Rodrik was just the tip of the iceberg. You Know Nothing, Jon Snow North of Winterfell and well beyond the Wall, the crow Jon Snow and the wildling girl Ygritte are having themselves a grand old time. Well, not grand, but certainly sexually charged. It’s funny to see someone speak in such a way to Jon. He’s not the man of the Night’s Watch he thinks he is, not in Ygritte’s eyes; to her, he’s just “a boy who’s never been with a girl.” She’s not wrong, really. But all of that might change now that the roles have reversed and Jon’s become Ygritte’s captive. Also, fans of the books, were you as psyched as I was to hear Ygritte spit out her most famous line to Jon? We’ll be hearing plenty more “you know nothings” as the season progresses, I bet. The Lion King and the Wolf Girl If the Emmys had a Best Onscreen Duo award, I’d make a strong case for Charles Dance and Maisie Williams. Their scenes as Tywin and Arya in the ruins of Harrenhal are swiftly becoming the best scenes of the season. Some out-of-context dialogue highlights: “This will be my last war, win or lose.” “Do you think I’d be in this position if I’d lost a war?” “Careful now, girl. I enjoy you, but be careful.” “You’re too smart for your own good. Has anyone told you that?” Dance and Williams just clearly get a kick out of each other, and their chemistry is infectious. Great stuff. Love Your Children Down south in King’s Landing, there’s no sight of Joffrey Baratheon, yet the Lannister-in-stag’s-clothing remains a hot topic for his surrounding court. Sansa Stark makes the bloody discovery that she’s now able to bear Joff’s children, a realization that she unsuccessfully tries to keep from Queen Cersei. Surprisingly, when giving Sansa advice, Cersei doesn’t even really recommend that Sansa work towards falling in love with Joffrey some day — “You can try,” she says skeptically, but her real advice is to “love no one but your children.” She’s having trouble listening to her own words, as Joffrey’s continued cruelty pushes the Lannister matriarch further and further away from her son. Uniquely Unfit for Constraint In further Lannister news, “A Man Without Honor” saw the not-so-triumphant return of Jaime Lannister for the first time since the season premiere. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau stole the show this episode, as he tends to do whenever he’s onscreen. But I’m glad it’s taken us this long to see him again — absence makes the heart grow fonder, even if a murderous prison escape makes it grow a little firmer in the end. Aside from seeing Jaime again, the Stark Camp story reached some other notable moments that should have fans of the books grinning: the furious introduction of Rickard Karstark, the developing creepiness of Roose Bolton, and the first mention of the MIA Barristan Selmy in what feels like ages. Yeah, remember that guy? Got a funny feeling we’ll see that bold warrior again soon. … Undying Love Finishing up all the way in Essos, we return to the plot point that’s got my head spinning most: Qarth. So, Xaro Xhoan Daxos is in cahoots with the warlocks of the House of the Undying to kill the rest of the Thirteen and become the king of the greatest city that ever was or will be? And they took Dany’s dragons, pretty much just to prove a point? Needless to say, these are more things that never happened in George R.R. Martin’s novels. And once again, not sure what to think about all of these alterations, except that I think they’re way too melodramatic for melodrama’s sake. That said, while I’m not a fan of where the story’s gone, there’s no denying that Ian Hanmore is thoroughly disturbing as blue-lipped baldy Pyat Pree, and the potential for an incredibly unsettling House of the Undying scene is certainly there. Band’s Saturday-night set was lively and loose, capping a day that also saw spirited sets from Mac Miller and Skrillex. By James Montgomery Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers performs at the 2012 Hangout Music Festival Photo: Tim Mosenfelder/ Getty Images GULF SHORES, Alabama — Having been at this for more than two decades now, the Red Hot Chili Peppers clearly know how to headline a fest: play the hits, thank the crowd, occasionally swat at a beach ball, exit stage right. Maybe work a few well-placed curse words in there too. These things tend to be the same. So it’s a testament to both their versatility and their dedication that the Chili Peppers’ Saturday-night set at the Hangout Festival was anything but by the numbers, as the band jammed long and hard, stretching songs to the breaking point (and beyond), much to the delight of the raucous, sun-baked crowd. Perhaps it was because their headlining slot kicked off just minutes after seasoned jam-meisters the String Cheese Incident finished their two-and-a-half hour set (which, for them, was basically just a warm-up), or maybe they were taking their cues from Friday night’s headliner, Jack White , but from the minute the Peps strode on stage, they were playing fast and loose. Drummer Chad Smith, bassist Flea and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer started things off with a reverb-heavy psych jam that only morphed into “The Monarchy of Roses” when frontman Anthony Kiedis bounded on stage, then kept that momentum rolling into “Can’t Stop,” with the trio trading solos while Kiedis nodded in time to the beat. There were, of course, more straightforward moments too: the Peppers tore through a string of hits, including “Dani California,” “Under The Bridge” and “The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie,” and attacked songs like “Blood Sugar Sex Magik” and their version of “Higher Ground” with impassioned pounding. Flea was his usual non-sequitur self, spouting stuff like “Sweet Home Alabama, mother—-er!” and “Forgive your parents!” into the mic, and Kiedis was, as always, the warrior-shaman showman, posing and preening, always in motion (he and Flea also made the rather interesting decision to wear pants with one leg cut off above the knee). But there was a general, genial looseness throughout their two-hour set, showcasing Smith’s lock-step drumming, Flea’s precision playing and Klinghoffer’s wild, winding fretwork. At several points, they seemed to be making it up as they went along, gleefully turning a few stray notes into lengthy, twisting jams: Klinghoffer would summon a solo from his guitar, while Flea would flail and pound along, Smith and touring percussionist Mauro Refosco kicked off the band’s encore with a twisting back-and-forth exchange, and after blasting through “Give It Away,” the band closed their set with a lengthy, voluminous instrumental. The Peppers have always drawn from funk, and Flea’s dabblings in Jazz have paced them for nearly twenty years now, but on Saturday night, the improvisational nature of both were readily apparent. Rather than do the usual headlining set, the band wanted to just play. It seems to be a recurring theme of the Hangout fest … and it served as a perfect capper on a day that also saw lively and loose sets from the likes of Gogol Bordello, Mac Miller and Skrillex (who, in a bit of inspired scheduling, kicked off opposite Randy Newman). The Red Hot Chili Peppers breathed new life into time-tested favorites — “Suck My Kiss” was pounding and primal, “Californication” soared to new heights, “Soul to Squeeze” was sanguine and sweet — and appeared to have a blast whilst doing so. You can’t teach old dogs new tricks, but, if you bring them to the beach (and scheduled them after a jam band), well, you can certainly make them push things to the limit … with fantastic results. If this whole “world-famous rock band” thing doesn’t work out for RHCP, their Hangout set was proof that they’d make a killing on the jam circuit. Your move, String Cheese.
