Dancing with the Stars Recap: Worst Premiere Ever?

Break out the sequins, strike up the band and welcome the latest crop of Z-listers: Dancing with the Stars is back for a 21st season on ABC! Who shone brightest and who fizzled in the face of stiff competition in their debuts? Let’s just say the judges weren’t impressed too often … View Slideshow: Dancing with the Stars Season 21: Official Cast Photos! When Gary Busey, Paula Deen, and some of these other folks we’ve never heard of are all on Dancing with the Stars … it’s an experience. When Paula remarks that perhaps she had soiled her previously white underwear, and we are watching it unfold live, we have no words. Strange times we are living in, THG readers. There were plenty of ups and downs, spins and twirls, but Bindi Irwin and Nick Carter walked away with the top scores on Monday night. Tamar Braxton and Carlos PenaVega, who bested his wife, fellow cast member Alexa PenaVega by just one point, were close behind. On the other end of the scoreboard … wow. With the amount of 4s and 5s given out, this ensemble looked like the least talented ever. Dancing wise, and name recognition wise. “I was a little surprised because we haven’t gone that low in a couple of seasons,” Julianne Hough said, but “we will see a lot of growth.” “We have a great cast. They are more about the characters and the dancing will come. If we start high, there is nowhere else to go!” Fair enough … but check these scores out: Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough: 24/30 Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess: 24/30 Tamar Braxton and Val Chmerkovskiy: 23/30 Carlos PenaVega and Witney Carson: 23/30 Alexa PenaVega and Mark Ballas: 22/30 Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold: 22/30 Hayes Grier and Emma Slater: 21/30 Andy Grammer and Allison Holker: 21/30 Victor Espinoza and Karina Smirnoff: 15/30 Paula Deen and Louis Van Amstel: 15/30 Gary Busey and Anna Trebunskaya: 15/30 Chaka Khan and Keo Motsepe: 13/30 Kim Zolciak and Tony Dovolani: 12/30 Yes, Kim Zolciak scored a f–king 12. Out of 30. On the bright side for the oft-pregnant Real Housewives of Atlanta legend, Master P remains the only star to register a 2 from a judge on DWTS . His paso doble earned a pair of them, no less. Not only will she never (hopefully) beat Master P’s grand total of eight for a routine, Kelly Monaco earned a 13 for her waltz in Season 1. Kelly went on to be the first DWTS winner! You see? There is hope for all among the Dancing with the Stars cast ! Jennifer Aniston: Dumped After 990 Days?!?

According to a new tabloid cover story, Jennifer Aniston has been dumped by Justin Theroux. But there are two pieces of good news for the actress: At least she made it through 990 days of an engagement. At least she isn’t single and expecting, despite various magazines trying to tell us every other month that  Jennifer Aniston is pregnant . An insider – who totally and completely exists and who Life & Style definitely did not conjure up – says Theroux “pulled the plug on [the couple’s] wedding just days before it was to go down.” Talk about a tough break for Jen, huh?!? Apparently the split went down in a most embarrassing fashion, too, as Aniston was on the phone with Theroux, casually talking about wedding menu choices, when he blurted out: “I’m not ready.” That had to be difficult for the actress to hear. If, you know, it had actually happened. Fortunately, a previous tabloid report claimed Aniston got dumped on her wedding day and that break-up never materialized. So you’ll forgive us if we aren’t exactly buying this tall tale, either. View Slideshow: Jennifer Aniston: 24 Babies & Counting!!

Dancing with the Stars Recap: Who Was Perfect? Who Cried? Who Got Engaged?

Following last Tuesday’s elimination of Chris Soules and Robert Herjavec, Dancing with the Stars Season 20 Season 10 saw the final four go hard. The tears also flowed hard, on more than one occasion. Hollywood offspring Rumer Willis, Hough family cousin Riker Lynch, Olympian Nastia Liukin and war veteran Noah Galloway all brought their best. Each had been in the lead this season at least once, but only one will be left holding the Mirror Ball next week. Who do you think will be that champion? Last night’s performances should help answer that … View Slideshow: Dancing With the Stars Season 20 Semifinals: Watch the Performances! Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy: Their first dance was a Fifty Shades of Grey themed Viennese waltz. Very enticing to say the least for sexy 38. For the judges’ choice portion of the event, Bruno chose to do a Swan Lake-style contemporary fusion routine. We have no idea what that means. What we do know is that it was flawless, earning them the maximum score of 30 out of 30 (as the judge working with the duo cannot score it). Total Score: 68! Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess: For his Viennese Waltz, Noah and Sharna took to a fog-filled stage backed by David Cook’s “Time of My Life.” Also having the time of her life? Noah’s girlfriend, as Galloway proposed to her on stage! Score for the Waltz? 36. Score for the proposal? 120,000. For their paso doble, Carrie Ann picked out a paso doble as a metaphor for Noah’s life. Their perfect 30 for 30 result even left Len at a loss for words. Total Score: 66! Riker Lynch and Allison Holker: These two could be on the fast track to the title, as it’s hard to see how this contemporary routine could be topped. Except, perhaps, but the Argentine tango choreographed by his cousin Julianne, who briefly joined the duo on stage in an equally fabulous routine. The guy’s got the talent to take this thing. No doubt about that. It’s just a question of whether voters like him more than his biggest rival left … Total Score: 70! Nastia Liukin and Derek Hough: With Sasha Farber as acting Derek Hough, Nastia did not miss a beat on her quickstep, which was a show stopper. Derek did make his return for the couple’s Viennese waltz, choreographed by Len, who put together the piece as a way of looking back at his life. Deep stuff, but Derek did him justice, moving Carrie Ann and plenty of fans to tears and making the judges with they could give out MORE than 10s. Total Score: 70! Well? Who do you think will survive tonight’s Dancing with the Stars results show, and which of the final four do you think will join this group of winners? Chris Soules: Mega-Diva on Dancing With the Stars!?

Chris Soules was kicked off Dancing With the Stars this week , but his fellow dancers are not exactly bidding him a fond farewell. According to an insider, The Bachelor star and fiance of Whitney Bischoff turned into a mega-diva during the progression of DWTS: He “was humble and so sweet at the beginning of DWTS , but by the time he had been voted off, the sentiment from the cast and crew had changed.” “It started with Chris asking the wardrobe department to make adjustments to his wardrobe,” adds the source. “It seemed innocent enough.” “But by the last week, Chris was openly rolling his eyes at his costumes.” He was even caught on camera acting like an angry diva . So much, that at one point, Chris Soules made Witney Carson cry during rehearsal. Gradually, he’s “become obsessed with living in Hollywood, and loves the fame he got from being on The Bachelor and on Dancing with the Stars .” “Being voted off DWTS will be very hard for Chris because he truly thought the Bachelor fans would get him through to the finals,” the source added. “His ego is out of control, and he now has a publicist, and manager!” the source insists. “He would love to become known as a host for big events.” While Chris is busy loving Chris, we wonder what this means for Whitney. Theu are rumored to be taking a “break” since Whitney returned to Chicago .  And since Chris Soules might be staying in Los Angeles to pursue the limelight, their relationship could be headed for splitsville sooner rather than later. Suzanne Somers: Headed to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?

Might Suzanne Somers soon knock on the door of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills… permanently? The former Three’s Company actress – who partnered this season with Tony Dovolani on Dancing with the Stars and who is friends with Yolanda Foster – appeared last night on Watch What Happens Live. Because she’s stopped by the Bravo hit on a couple of occasions, Somers was asked about potentially becoming a full-time cast member on Season 6. “I’ve seen that [rumor]. Are you planting that?” Somers asked host Andy Cohen. “I loved showing up there. I don’t know if I want to be there all the time, but I loved showing up there.” So it doesn’t sound as if we’ll be able to watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills online each week next year and see Somers gracing our screen… which is too bad. Early on Thursday this week, Kim Richards got arrested for being drunk and belligerent. That incident followed a season in which Kim fought with new cast members Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson, mostly about her alleged substance abuse issues. There was also plenty of tension between the Richards siblings and the featured women in general. In other words: The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills could use someone bright and bubble such as Suzanne Somers. Maybe she’ll reconsider. View Slideshow: 19 Really Big Real Housewives Scandals

Whitney Bischoff and Becca Tilley: Still Friends After The Bachelor!

Dancing with the Stars cast member and former star of The Bachelor Chris Soules says his fiancee Whitney Bischoff is still friends with his runner-up, Becca Tilley. How does he feel about that female friendship? Will it result in the obligatory, almost daily rumors of trouble in paradise between Chris and Whitney? Actually … “I’m so glad they’re friends,” Soules said. “It doesn’t surprise me because I was pretty close to some guys dating Andi [Dorfman] when I was on The Bachelorette .” “I’m just glad they were able to keep their friendship, because they’re great girls. That’s what that experience was about. Meeting some really great people.” “Having those friendships is important.” It’s true, and sometimes it just works out. You don’t need The Bachelorette spoilers to tell you there will be cat fights and drama every season in the mansion. That doesn’t mean there aren’t exceptions to the rule, however, and that some romantic rivals might just come away with an unexpectedly tight bond. Andi and Nikki Ferrell, who both vied for the heart of Juan Pablo Galavis on his season of The Bachelor, have also remained close friends ever since. In the case of Becca Tilley , she handled rejection about as well as anyone we’ve ever seen on the show, and Whitney was obviously the right choicefor Chris. That makes it a lot easier for her to move into the friend zone than, say, Nick Viall and the “fiance type stuff” he was certain he and only he had with Andi. Bischoff and Tilley actually went out to dinner this past weekend, and Soules says his future wife, despite refusing to watch The Bachelor online , “knows enough.” “She hears things, you know? I think you go through that, you have to be able to mentally … know that I [was] going through those relationships differently.” “She doesn’t live in a bubble. I’m not putting it in the English language very well,” Chris adds, but “she’s very smart. They all get it and can look past it.” “She’s tough. That’s why I fell in love with her.” View Slideshow: Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff Photos: All Heart(land) As for Chris and Becca these days? “I mean, it’s not like we talk or communicate on a regular basis,” the 33-year-old farmer noted. “The first time we actually got to talk was at The Final Rose . “She’s a great person, from a great foundation, a great family, and is happy, I’m sure, for Whitney and I. That’s why they’re able to have that friendship .” As for Chris and Whitney, the rumors of tumult between them are greatly exaggerated, even fabricated. But he does confess that DWTS has been tough. “We get to spend a fair amount of time together, but I think mentally I’m not really there in a way that I will be able to be in the future,” Soules admitted. “It changes the dynamic a little, so she gets that and we’ve just got to communicate and work hard at it … It will be a lot easier once this is over with.” “She’s the best. I take this extremely seriously and she’s nervous for me and every day [says,] ‘How’d it go? How do you feel? How did rehearsal go?'” Whitney has also befriended her namesake, and another important woman in Chris’ life at the moment – Soules’ DWTS pro partner Witney Carson. “I ended up texting her and asked her to come to The Grove for a coffee,” Witney Carson says of Bischoff. “I just wanted to get to know her and be friends with her.” “Just let her know she should just totally enjoy this experience while she’s there… We had a really good chat and she’s great, you know? I really, really like her.” View Slideshow: The Bachelor Couples: Are They Still Together?
