Rob Kardashian: Dancing With the Stars’ Dark Horse

Rob Kardashian is proving the Dancing With the Stars doubters wrong. He got a bad rap at the beginning of the season for being aloof and just doing the show because mom Kris Jenner made him. But he has improved dramatically. Kicking off Monday night’s episode with an awesome quickstep, Rob proved he’s a dark horse in the competition, an under-the-radar but serious contender. Watch the routine that earned Rob and Cheryl Burke all nines below: Rob Kardashian on Dancing With the Stars (Week 8 – Quickstep) He finished with the fourth highest total out of five dancers, but Rob has a big cushion over Nancy Grace, so he should be in the clear on tonight’s results show. Beyond that, though, it may come down to Rob and Cheryl or Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Hope Solo for the final spot in the 13th season’s three-team finale. Rob scored a 24 on his second, instant jive dance. Watch it below: Rob Kardashian on Dancing With the Stars (Week 8 – Jive)

J.R. Martinez on Dancing With the Stars: Waltzing and Jiving to Perfection

Last night’s Dancing With the Stars was the J.R. Martinez show. He had two chances to redeem himself from an off-week last Monday and boy did he deliver. If this continues, everyone else is dancing for second place. Martinez scored, not one but two, perfect 30s – first for his waltz, then for his instant jive with Karina Smirnoff – the first dancer to do so in Season 13. J.R. Martinez on Dancing With the Stars (Week 8 – Waltz) “It was like a musical Valentine card,” DWTS judge Bruno Tonioli said. “You dance with your heart on your sleeve. Totally involved, totally dedicated.” “This is a war on the floor,” Len Goodman added. “Each week is a battle. Last week you retreated a bit, but, like the soldier you are you came back, guns blazing.” The Iraq War vet, soap opera actor and motivational speaker certainly has the inspiring story, fan support and dance moves to take home the Mirror Ball. Can J.R. Martinez be stopped? We’ll find out in the coming weeks, but it looks like the title could he his to lose. Watch his instant jive after the jump: J.R. David Arquette on Dancing With the Stars Run: A Life-Changing Experience

This week’s Dancing with the Stars results were a bit unfair to David Arquette, who did more than enough to stay in the competition at least one more week. But rather than talking about how he should have outlasted Nancy Grace, he’s taking the high road and praising the ABC show for the experience it gave him. It’s easy to see why, given that his seven-week run painted him in positive light, following a rough patch that had him making headlines for … other reasons. After a trip to rehab, a car accident, a separation from wife Courteney Cox, a fling with Jasmine Waltz and more details he’d just as soon forget, he now can. David Arquette on Dancing With the Stars (Week 7) “I learned a lot about myself on this show,” the actor said after he and partner Kym Johnson were eliminated from the hit series on Tuesday night’s program. “I learned a lot about self-appreciation and finding joy in my life and doing things that are positive for me. Kym and I had the best time. We had a lot of fun.” Arquette, who says his votes are now going to fellow competitor J.R. Martinez , is “sad” about the dismissal, but is also looking on the bright side of leaving. “I’m looking forward to spending time with friends, taking my daughter to school, going to ice skating with her, getting to play with her – just sleeping,” he said. “I woke up at 3:30 this morning, just amped up. It’s just so much high pressure and stress. I’m looking forward to that lack of anxiety on Mondays.” Did David deserve to get the boot?

Dancing With the Stars Results: Kind of a Shocker!

After Monday performances that saw Ricki Lake cement her frontrunner status on Dancing With the Stars , the question was who would join her in the final five. With Lake amassing a huge lead and fan support, J.R. Martinez a virtual lock (no way he’s going home after one off week that wasn’t even that off) and Rob Kardashian looking increasingly strong each week, it came down to these three contestants … Was last night the end of the line for Hope, Nancy, or David? Hope Solo continues to improve, but not fast enough for the judges’ liking (sorry Maks). David Arquette has been good, not great. Nancy Grace? Just bad Monday. So which one of them got the heave-ho? Follow the jump to find out here … David Arquette , despite a strong run this fall, has been sent home. Wow. That was not what we saw coming at all, we have to admit it. David and partner Kym Johnson were ousted from the show, meaning both Nancy Grace and Hope Solo are in the final five on Dancing With the Stars . Wow, again. Having repaired his image, David handled his ouster with good cheer. “This whole thing has been incredible, I’ve loved it,” the actor said after the news. “But there must be a mistake, because this is my show. I can’t go home!” Take that, Maksim Chmerkovskiy ! “I’m just kidding! I came here to learn about myself, face my fears, entertain people and give America a chance to get to know me better – and learn to dance!” He gets all 10s from us on that front. But still, what a surprise. Agree? Did David Arquette deserve to be voted off Dancing With the Stars?

‘Dancing With The Stars’: David Arquette Gets Cut

Justin Bieber performs his Christmas collabo with Boyz II Men on results show. By Kara Warner Kym Johnson and David Arquette Photo: ABC The field of competing couples on the 13th season of “Dancing With The Stars” was trimmed down to five Tuesday night after David Arquette and partner Kym Johnson were eliminated from the show. Nancy Grace and Tristan MacManus, who were the other couple in the bottom two, got to keep their dancing shoes for another go next week. “This has to be a mistake!” Arquette joked when his name was called. “This is my show! I love all the people I got to know and dance with. This whole production is top-notch, and thank you to all the fans!” “I’m going to take a lot away from this experience,” Arquette said in his goodbye video. ” ‘DWTS’ was an experience of a lifetime. You learn things about yourself you never thought possible.” The latest elimination show was as packed with headlining performers as ever. Teen king Justin Bieber kicked off the show with a lively performance of his hit “Never Say Never” and later returned to the dance floor with Boyz II Men to perform their Christmas collaboration “Fa La La” from his just-released holiday album, Under the Mistletoe. Bieber and the Boyz weren’t the only artists to take the “DWTS” stage Tuesday night: Rising star Christina Perri sang “Arms,” while 17-year-old ballerina and cancer survivor Victoria-Rose Viren performed a moving duet in front of Perri. Other fun performances included the encore dance of the night, the honors for which went to Team Paso Doble (Ricki Lake, Rob Kardashian and Hope Solo), who reprised their “powerful” dance to Evanescence’s “Wake Me Up Inside.” Seasoned pro Derek Hough also performed a fun routine with fellow pro Allison Holker. Heading into the eighth week of competition, Lake and Hough are sitting pretty at the top of the leaderboard, followed closely by fan favorite J.R. Martinez and his partner Karina Smirnoff, “dark horse” Rob Kardashian and partner Cheryl Burke, and Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Were you surprised to see David go? Let us know in the comments!
