Climb with us into the wayback machine, Skin fans, because we’re traveling through time to the good ol’ days of…July 2011? Summer movie season was at its peak when the sci-fi/Western hybrid Cowboys & Aliens landed in theaters, but it was a letdown for us thanks to a CGI cover-up ( a bit of a habit for Ms. Wilde ). Here’s what we said at the time: Mr. Skin’s Skin Skout has seen a sneak preview of Cowboys & Aliens, and it turns out the much-hyped butt scene is less than Wilde. 1 hour and 11 minutes into the movie, Olivia walks through a fire naked and miraculously unharmed. Olivia may be fine, but Skin Central is still feeling burnt, because CGI flames cover Olivia’s seat meat in the rear view shot, exposing only naked back, and from the front we only see her from the shoulders up. Not to mention as soon as she walks out of the fire, Daniel Craig rushes in to cover Olivia’s gorgeous naked body with a blanket. Take special note of that last part, because when we got the Blu-ray of Cowboys & Aliens , our Blu-ray Ninja set out on a quest to defy the gods of moviemaking and find that butt shot . And guess what, folks? He did it. There are exactly two frames of Olivia’s cheeks in that scene, and our Blu-ray ninja found them. The moral of the story? Don’t try to burn a ninja, or the ninja will burn you. Check out more flaming-hot HD finds from our Skin Labs on Mr. Skin’s Blu-ray Discoveries and Mr. Skin’s Blu-ray Discoveries 2 playlists!
As noted here last week, James Bond has officially joined the Twitter era with the @007 handle. Which is to say: James Bond marketing has officially joined the Twitter era, with the first picture from the first day of filming — the actual first take, ZOMGGG — published this morning. And it’s kind of filthy.
We reported back in June that this brown-skinned banger Naomie Harris may be joining the “Bond Girl” sorority… And we were right! Ah, Mr. Bond, we’ve been waiting for you — and at last 007 is back, several years after his last screen adventure. Producers announced Thursday that filming has begun on “Skyfall,” the delayed 23rd film in the series and Daniel Craig’s third outing as the suave British superspy. Craig, who has brought a hard edge to his portrayal, told reporters that the movie, directed by Sam Mendes and shot in London, Scotland, Turkey and China, would be “Bond with a capital B.” Craig said he was “tremendously excited” to be stepping back into the role for the first time since 2008′s “Quantum of Solace.” Work on the film was postponed, and Bond’s future looked uncertain, when studio MGM filed for bankruptcy in 2010. But MGM’s new management and EON Productions announced earlier this year that the spy would live to fight another day. Craig will be joined by Spanish star Javier Bardem as Bond’s nemisis, while British actors Albert Finney, Ralph Fiennes and Ben Whishaw will play as-yet-undisclosed roles. Judi Dench returns as spy chief M and the film introduces two new Bond girls — English actress Naomie Harris as a field agent named Eve and French performer Berenice Marlohe as “a glamorous, enigmatic character” named Severine. Skyfall is set to be released in the states on Nov. 9, 2012 on the 50th anniversary for the first Bond film “Dr. No”. Wonder will Bond get to chop down the first cakes of color since Halle Berry in 2002′s Die Another Die ?? Source
Dream House promises to chill you with intrigue and suspense, but will the actual ‘dream house’ provide any of the scares? Here’s hoping yes. Freaky houses are a touchstone in horror cinema, and today I’m building a blueprint for a spooky manse made only from rooms in creepy movies. Norman Bates, Jack Torrance and Leatherface all contribute to the interior decoration.
‘I’m as excited about this script as I was about the ‘Casino Royale’ script,’ he tells MTV News. By Eric Ditzian Daniel Craig Photo: Ian Gavan/ Getty Images This summer in Montana, while Daniel Craig was promoting “Cowboys & Aliens,” the actor steered clear of any casting news relating to “Bond 23,” declining to confirm to MTV News long-standing rumors that Ralph Fiennes and Javier Bardem were getting set to join the action flick. A few months later, while promoting “The Adventures of Tintin,” Craig was in more of a giving mood, letting us know that he’s keeping his fingers crossed that Fiennes and Bardem are on set when production on “Bond 23” kicks off in early October. “I hope so,” he said about the two actors. “I hope so.” Bardem confirmed back in February that he was in talks to play a villain in the flick, while rumors have been floating since early in the year that Fiennes was looking to take on an unspecified role. In July, MTV News shot down reports that “Amazing Spider-Man” villain Rhys Ifans had also signed up for “Bond 23,” with the actor telling us, “No, I just have a license to kill.” According to Craig, the way “Bond 23” is coming together has him the most excited about the franchise since he took on the iconic spy role years ago. “We’ve got a great script this time,” he told us. “I’m as excited about this script as I was about the ‘Casino Royale’ script. I think in Sam [Mendes] we’ve got the perfect director. The cast is coming together now. I can’t wait to get going on it.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Bond 23.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .
U.S. hikers Josh Fattal and Shane Bauer had been imprisoned in Iran for two years when a joint effort between the U.N., Iraq, Oman freed them last week. Now, new details reveal the involvement of Venezuela’s president (and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad ally) Hugo Chavez in the process, and the “American intellectual” who helped bring Chavez onboard: Sean Penn .
In the discussion as to whether or not Daniel Craig is the new Harrison Ford, we should note one critical factor separating screen legend from his younger, blonder Hollywood counterpart: Just one of them has weathered a film with Sean Young and lived to not only tell the tale, but also keep the flame alive in a moment of late-career triumph.
New images and behind the scenes peeks are steadily emerging over at The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo ‘s Tumblr Mouth Taped Shut , including a new piece of maybe-poster art for the December 21 thriller. But there’s something familiar in the way Daniel Craig’s face is split by Rooney Mara’s shadowy profile. Was someone over at Sony marketing borrowing from the Apple playbook?
“Oh, I wouldn#39;t make one just for the sake of giving my son a sibling,” Rachel Weisz says. “But … you never know.” Weisz and Craig, 43, who had known each other casually for years, secretly married in June in a small ceremony in upstate New York, having become close while filming Dream House together. Is newlywed Rachel Weisz thinking of having a child with husband Daniel Craig? Weisz, 41, who has a 5-year-old son Henry from her previous relationship with Black Swan director Darren Aronofs
