Both ‘American Idol’ finalists inked deals for major-label debuts on Thursday. By Gil Kaufman Crystal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze Photo: FOX That was fast. Less than 24 hours after winning season nine of “American Idol,” Lee DeWyze signed a record deal with 19 Recordings Limited and RCA Records, while his pal and runner-up, Crystal Bowersox , inked a contract with 19 Recordings Limited and Jive for her debut major-label album. According to Billboard.com , the pacts were signed on Thursday and will have DeWyze joining the label that houses such “Idol” luminaries as Chris Daughtry and Adam Lambert. Bowersox will rub elbows with the likes of Kris Allen, Jordin Sparks and Allison Iraheta.

American pop singer and songwriter Christina Aguilera has postponed her forthcoming US tour for more preparations. According to Aguilera’s representative, the tour around the 20 cities across USA has been moved to 2011 for the reason that the artist is busy with her debut film, Burlesque, and her new album, Bionic. The time between the album release and tour dates Aguilera is very short and she wouldn’t have time to rehearse the show. A new tour will be announced later this year. By Jocelyn Vena Ke$ha Photo: Sam Hendrick/ MTV News Last week it was announced that Rihanna would be taking Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha on her Last Girl on Earth Tour this summer. But just days after the announcement was made, the Young Money rapper said that she wouldn’t be able to hit the road after all, citing the fact that she wanted to focus on recording her debut album. When MTV News caught up with Ke$ha at rehearsals for “Saturday Night Live” where she’s this week’s musical guest, the “Tik Tok” singer had no idea about Minaj’s plans. “I hadn’t heard that. Is that true? Oh, that’s a bummer,” she said. “I have no idea why and I hadn’t even heard that, but that’s a bummer.” She went on to say she had to think for a while about who she’d like to see replace Minaj on the tour. “I’ll get my wheels turning. I wasn’t aware of that, but I’ll totally think about it. I mean, I’m just so excited to be on the same stage as Rihanna. She’s obviously an incredible performer, singer, woman. So that tour’s going to be so much fun.” But what should fans expect from her set on the tour? Well, apparently, costumes made of laser beams. “I want to wear a lot of laser beams,” Ke$ha said. “Oh, you’ll see [how I’ll do that], honey!” And much like her debut album Animal , she said her show will be one big party. “It definitely is going to have, like, a dance-party vibe,” she explained. “I just want it to be really, really fun. According to BBC, more than 8M viewers tuned in to watch Matt Smith make his debut in Doctor Who. Early figures indicate that the audience for the show, in which Matt appeared as the 11th incarnation of the Doctor, peaked at around 8.4 Million giving the BBC an audience share of 36.9 per cent.
