What The Hell?: Donald Trumps Makes A Ridiculous Plea For Black Votes

Donald Trump Thinks The Black Community Can Benefit From His Leadership One has to hand it to Donald Trump . Never, in the history of a presidential election, has a candidate tried so earnestly to lose a general election. Trump was in Dimondale, Michigan to talk about the Democratic Party and how they’ve let down the African-American community. His solution? All black people should vote for Trump. Trump, in a video of his speech posted on the Washington Post , talked about how Democratic policies have affected African-Americans and promises to get 95% of the Black vote within the next four years. “No group in America has been more harmed by Hillary Clinton’s policies than African Americans,” he said, apparently pointing to individuals in the crowd. “No group. No group. If Hillary Clinton’s goal was to inflict pain to the African American community, she could not have done a better job. It is a disgrace.” “Detroit tops the list of most dangerous cities in terms of violent crime, number one,” he said from a city 90 minutes away from Detroit with a population that is 93 percent white . “This is the legacy of the Democratic politicians who have run this city. This is the result of the policy agenda embraced by crooked Hillary Clinton.” He went on. “The only way to change results is to change leadership. We can never fix our problems by relying on the same politicians who created our problems in the first place. A new future requires brand new leadership,” he said. “Look at how much African American communities are suffering from Democratic control. To those I say the following: What do you have to lose by trying something new like Trump? What do you have to lose?” he asked. “You live in your poverty, your schools are no good, you have no jobs, 58 percent of your youth is unemployed. What the hell do you have to lose?” It’s almost like Donald Trump is trolling everyone but he thinks nobody’s paying attention. Image via AP

Is She With Her? Will Feminist Beyoncé Support Hillary Clinton In Becoming First Woman POTUS?

The CEO Of The DNC Says They Tried To Get Beyoncé To Support Hillary Clinton At Convention Beyoncé has been a very vocal supporter of the Obama’s since their first run at office back in 2008. She has also been a very vocal supporter of women’s rights, empowerment and feminism. That said, it was a bit surprising that she didn’t show face at the Democratic National Convention this past week to support both the Obamas and Hillary Clinton in their mission to make her the very first woman president of these United States. However, that isn’t to say that Clinton and the DNC didn’t want request her presence. DNC CEO Rev. Leah Daughtry spoke to Refinery29 last month about the possibility of a Bey sighting: I heard you love Beyoncé. Any chance she’ll be joining us in Philadelphia? “I believe she’s in Sweden on the Formation tour, but we’re going to see what we can do to get her to fly over for the night or so. We’ll see!” From what we can tell, Beyoncé doesn’t seem to be a Trump supporter or an “undecided” as she was seen attending an L.A. Reid-hosted fundraiser for HRC back in May. Say you'll Bey on Team #Hillary2016 , too: http://t.co/X1Jyv1CdKw pic.twitter.com/qRVZCONXig — Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) May 15, 2015 Maybe Bey is planning to publicly support Hillz now that she has been officially nominated. Will you be disappointed if Mrs. Carter is with Hillary, or will you follow her to the polls? Image via AP/Splash

Taylor Swift: Is She Voting For Donald Trump?!

Just before Hillary Clinton accepted her party’s nomination at the Democratic National Convention last night, another wildly famous and influential woman took the stage. Katy Perry Roars, Rises at Democratic National Convention Sure, Katy Perry isn’t exactly a major figure in the world of American politics, but she’s the most-followed person on Twitter and one of the most recognizable women in the world. Perry taking the stage to endorse Hillary made the GOP’s use of Z-list celebs like Scott Baio and Antonio Sabato, Jr. seem even more ridiculous in contrast. But it’s possible that the folks who put together the RNC’s baffling guest list weren’t the only ones stewing as they watched Hillary’s star-studded coronation. At this point the feud between Perry and Taylor Swift  is one of the most notorious in Hollywood. It’s dragged on for years, inspired hit diss tracks, and prompted more than a few amusingly shady tweets . Taylor Swift – Bad Blood (Music Video) While she has many celebrity foes, Katy is the closest thing that Taylor has to an arch-nemesis. So it’s possible that despite her commitment to feminism (though it’s worth noting that she’s been described as a ” fake feminist ” by other young female celebs), Taylor may not have tuned in to witness one of the most important moments in the history of American women. Add to that the fact that Swift has some indirect ties to the Trump family, and it’s enough to make you wonder whom the iconic singer will be casting a ballot for in November. As you may know, Taylor’s best friend is Victoria’s Secret model Karlie Kloss. What you probably weren’t  aware of is that for the past four years, Kloss has been dating Joshua Kushner, brother of Ivanka Trump’s husband, Jared Kushner . Kushner spoke at the RNC last week, making it clear that he’s no silent bystander in his father-in-law’s rise to power. Obviously, we have no way of knowing if Swift’s relationships with Kloss and Kushner have influenced her political leanings, but it’s interesting that while her high-profile friends like Lena Dunham have come out in full-throated support of Hillary, Swift has remained conspicuously silent. Trump and Swift may not be the likeliest allies, but the real estate mogul has expressed his fondness for the singer in the past… …and it’s possible the two of them have an “enemy of my enemy is my friend” understanding going on. It’s tough to imagine Swift actually voting for a candidate who’s been so openly misogynistic throughout his career – but you can bet she won’t be voicing an endorsement for Hillary any time soon. Justin Bieber Turns Down MASSIVE Payday, Sticks It to GOP

Unlike Katy Perry, Demi Lovato and Lenny Kravitz, Justin Bieber did not perform at the Democratic National Convention this week. But that doesn’t mean the singer didn’t make his political leanings very well known. He just did so in a more subtle manner. And a more impressive manner, some might argue. According to TMZ, Bieber was offered $5 MILLION to perform at a Republican-sponsored event during last week’s Republican National Convention. The performance would not have taken place at Quicken Loans Arena, where the gathering was held, but at a venue nearby. Insiders tell TMZ that the offer was made to CAA, Bieber’s talent agency, and that a promoter got in touch with Bieber’s people to ask if Justin would sing in Cleveland for about 45 minutes. (For those doing the math, that comes out to over $100,000 per minute.) The promoter tried to assure Bieber that the concert would not be political in any way; that he would not be asked to endorse Donald Trump or discuss policy or anything of that nature. But the event would have been bankrolled by GOP donors. Moreover, Bieber would be paid up front and the donors would cover all production costs. It would have been the single biggest payday of all-time for Justin Bieber. And he turned it down. Sources tell TMZ that Bieber did ponder the offer for a bit. He’s Canadian, after all, and could have argued that he doesn’t have much of a stake in an American election. But Bieber’s manager and close friend, Scooter Braun, is a huge Hillary Clinton supporter. He even held a fundraiser for her at his Los Angeles mansion. Braun and others at CAA believed that, regardless of the impressions they were given, the event would have been “100 percent political.” Scooter reportedly tried to negotiate with the promoter who made the offer, asking, for instance, if Bieber could hang a “Black Lives Matter” banner inside the venue while he performed. But the answer was no. And it was also made clear that Bieber could not insult Trump in any way at the show. Still… Bieber was the person who made the final decision. He actually spoke with LeBron James in order to do so because Conservative insider told Justin that the famous basketball player would also be appearing in Cleveland last week; also in a non-endorsement capacity. But LeBron told Bieber this was incorrect information. He was staying far away from his adopted hometown during the Republican National Convention. In the end, with Bieber’s all-African-American band also being turned off by the possibility, Bieber turned down the invitation. Pretty cool, huh? Pretty interesting to go inside the machinations of a political campaign and how it tries to recruit celebrities to its cause… … and even cooler of Bieber to say no to such a massive payday. Hillary Clinton at the DNC: What Did She Say?

Hillary Clinton has accepted the nomination for President of the United States. This was the most expected part of the speech she delivered on Thursday night at the Democratic National Convention. What else did she say about America and about her opponent, Donald Trump. Scroll down for the highlights: 1. Bill of Goods On Tuesday night, I was so happy to see that my explainer in chief is still on the job. 2. Kaine is Able For those of you out there who are just getting to know Tim Kaine, you will soon understand why the people of Virginia keep promoting him from city council to mayor, to governor and now senator and he will make our whole country proud as our next vice president. 3. Feeling the Bern Bernie, your campaign inspired millions of Americans, particularly the young people who do their hearts and souls into our primary. You put economic and social justice issues brought and center where they belong. 4. Taking Aim at Trump He wants to divide us from the rest of the world and from each other. He is betting that the perils of today’s world will blind us to its unlimited promise. He is taken the Republican party a long way from mourning in America to midnight in America. He wants us to fear the future and fear each other. 5. It Takes a Village Freedom and equality justice and opportunity — we should be so proud those words are associated with us …When people here those words they hear America, so don’t let anyone tell you our country is weak, we’re not. … And most of all, don’t believe anyone who says ‘I alone can fix it.’ 6. Who Am I? I’ve been your first lady, I’ve served eight years as a senator for the great state of New York and then I represented all of you as secretary of state, but my job titles only tell you what I’ve done, they don’t tell you why. The truth is through all these years … the service part has always come easier to me than the public part … I get it that some people just don’t know what to make of me. View Slideshow
