Lloyd Downplays Irv Gotti Insult

‘I don’t really feel affected by the comments that were made towards me,’ Lloyd tells MTV News of ‘RapFix Live’ comments. By Rob Markman Lloyd Photo: MTV News When Irv Gotti appeared on “RapFix Live” on October 5, he joked that he has no filter. And when the subject of his former Murder Inc. artist Lloyd came up, Gotti didn’t hold back, saying he had “no love” for the R&B singer. Lloyd, however, took the high road when asked about his old boss. “I haven’t been in that situation for years now,” said Lloyd, who has since moved to Interscope Records. “I think that what don’t break us, makes us, and people throw stones a lot, but I don’t live in a glass house. I don’t really feel affected by the comments that were made towards me.” The Atlanta vocalist, who recently dropped his fourth LP, King of Hearts, is now working with producer Polow da Don on his Zone 4 label and his happy about his musical progress, even if he isn’t enjoying the same sales success, as Irv pointed out. “It wasn’t a problem; me leaving was creative,” he said about his departure from the Inc. “It was a conflict of creative interest. It was me wanting to make music; it wasn’t me wanting to do anything more or less.” It doesn’t seem that Lloyd’s former labelmates Ashanti and Ja Rule share Irv’s sentiment. Back in April, both performed alongside the “You” singer when he opened for Diddy in New York. “It kinda deaded a lot of unnecessary rumors about my feelings towards people and my relationship with people,” Lloyd told MTV News of that show in particular. “I’m really happy about that concert.” What do you think about Lloyd’s response to Irv? Confirmed: The Real Housewives of New York City Sacks Jill Zarin, Alex McCord, Kelly Bensimon

Jill Zarin, Alex McCord, Kelly Bensimon and Cindy Barshop have all been let go from The Real Housewives of New York City cast, according to a Bravo source. Rumors about the casting change began last week amid reports that Zarin, McCord and Bensimon were fired from the show. At the time, their reps denied it. Looks like there was obviously some truth to it, sadly. “Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan and LuAnn De Lesseps will be returning for Season 5 of The Real Housewives of New York City,” a network spokesperson said . “We’ve had a fabulous run with all the ladies and appreciate them sharing their lives with our viewers. It is a friendly departure among the other ladies.” “We continue to have on-going discussions with them.” Whatever the hell that means. McCord told People: “Of course Simon and I are sad not to continue with RHONY but it’s a friendly decision and discussions with Bravo are ongoing for other projects.” Zarin’s rep said: “Jill is humbled by the extraordinary amount of media interest in her response and looks forward to personally opening up about all of this very soon and announcing some exciting new projects.” Jill was the first to really tease her departure this fall. Bensimon, meanwhile, said through a rep that she was still negotiating her contract. Even if she were to return, it’ll be a new-look RHONY . When Season 5 airs, Countess LuAnn and Ramona will be the only original cast members returning. That leaves a lot of open, snobby slots to fill. To you agree with the decision to fire Jill Zarin, Alex McCord, Kelly Bensimon and Cindy Barsho? Sound off in the comments below …

Paramore Roar Back With New Single, ‘Monster’

Band’s first song since the departure of Josh and Zac Farro seems to address breakup. By James Montgomery Paramore Photo: Jordan Strauss/ Getty Images “You” can be a worrisome word. A weighty one. By its very definition — “the one or ones being addressed” — it is up for interpretation, and when it’s used in a song, things get even more muddy. Does “you” refer to the listener or the public at large? Does it take the place of the subject of the lyric, someone who has wronged, inspired, doubted, betrayed the writer? Or does “you” even have to be a person? Couldn’t someone “want” or “love” a refreshing beverage or an old car or, you know, drugs? Shoot, now that we’re on the subject, maybe we’re never supposed to figure out who or what “you” is referring to (the classic example, of course, being Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain,” which is apparently about Warren Beatty … or David Geffen … or David Bowie, depending on whom you ask). I only bring this up because in Paramore’s brand-new song “Monster,” which premiered Friday on the band’s official

Yaya Touré likely to leave Barcelona ‘this week’, says agent

• Manchester City thought to be likely destination for midfielder • ‘I think we will probably close his departure very soon’ The Barcelona and Ivory Coast midfielder Yaya Touré could leave the club in the coming days, his agent has revealed. Touré is widely expected to move to the Premier League, with Manchester City the favourites to land the player who is currently on World Cup duty with his country in South Africa. Dimitri Seluk claims the Camp Nou exit door is moving ever closer for the 27-year-old, although he confirmed he would nevertheless seek talks with the new Barcelona president Sandro Rosell in the coming days. “I think we will probably close his departure very soon. It is likely to be this week, but at the moment we can’t announce anything,” Seluk told Com Radio. “I haven’t spoken to Rosell, but out of respect of course I will speak to him before anything is closed. “[Joan] Laporta is the president until June 30, but I have to speak to Rosell and know his opinion because he is the new president.” Seluk insists most of the key figures at Barça want Touré to stay but he admits his client’s lack of playing time under Pep Guardiola last season remains a concern. “Laporta, Rosell, Guardiola, myself, Touré … we all want him to stay at Barcelona – it’s one of the greatest clubs in the world,” Seluk said. “Everything is perfect except for one thing: playing 65% of the minutes is not sufficient for a player like Yaya, but that’s the only reason we want to go.” Barcelona Transfer window European football guardian.co.uk

It’s a Girl For Tiffani Thiessen & Brady Smith!

Tiffani Thiessen and Brady Smith are parents! The couple, who got married in 2005, welcomed their first child, daughter Harper Renn Smith, on Tuesday in Los Angeles, her rep confirmed to People . Baby Harper, who weighed in at 8 lbs., 3 oz., is “doing great,” as are the White Collar star and her hubby, who couldn’t be happier with the new arrival. Congratulations to the new parents! Thiessen’s colleagues say motherhood is something she’s more than ready for. “She’s totally the den mother of the show,” White Collar costar Matt Bomer said. “She’s so organized and so loving and generous – that can only make her an absolutely amazing mom.” Added costar Tim DeKay: “She’ll make a great mom.” Thiessen and Smith, an artist and actor, say starting a family is “something we’ve wanted for a long time and we are thrilled that it’s actually happening.”

Dina Manzo on Quitting The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Blame Danielle!

Danielle is a very troubled lady. She still has anger built up inside her. There’s no dealing with her in a rational way. Maybe she’s got multiple personalitie. She hasn’t changed and she’ll never change. I tried. I’m done, I’m out. With those words, Dina Manzo walked away from The Real Housewives of New Jersey last night . In case they somehow didn’t make it clear to viewers that Danielle Staub was to blame for her departure, Dina reiterated to Us Weekly today: “I would say 99.9 percent is because of Danielle, but the other .1 percent was drama created by her.” While we admire Manzo for getting away from the nut job that is Staub, we find it hard to believe when she says “I thought I signed on for a nice family show and it really turned in a different direction.” Dina’s professed ignorance over the goal/theme of the show (catfights, drama, etc.) is about as hard to believe as Staub’s claim that she didn’t play a key role in the release of her sex tape . Still, we certainly agree with Manzo when she says Danielle “will make up whatever lie she can to hurt you, and it’s dangerous. Who wants to be associated with that?”
