12 Sweetest Pope Pictures

After we promoted that 12 Evilest Pope Pictures thing, we had a crisis of conscience, followed by prayer and finally insight. We'd like to apologize sincerely to the Holy Father for the error of our ways, and present a much better alternative meme. Please pray for its success — we love you B16! Taylor Swift Remains Awesome, Plans New Album

Taylor Swift enjoyed a ridiculously successful 2009. Her achievement on the music charts and in various award categories earned the artist the number-seven ranking in our Celebrity of the Year rundown. But Swift has remained quiet for the first quarter of 2010, hanging out with friends and possibly dating Glee star Cory Monteith. Featured in the latest issue of Vogue , though, Taylor reveals plans to release a new album this fall. Similar her previous CD, this one will focus on the singer’s personal life, which has has changed a lot since she was 16. “I don’t think I could put on a new character for two years of my life if it wasn’t really what I was going through,” she told the magazine. “I have these formulas for making music; they’re almost mathematical: Who are you today? What did you write about in your diary? What idea hit you at 4:00 A.M.?” Taylor is also moving into a new home in Nashville, but says it isn’t a mansion. (“I didn’t want to have to MapQuest to get to the kitchen.”) Through all her success and worldwide acclaim, she sounds as grounded and humble as ever. “Looking back on what these past two years have been for me, it feels like this magical dream of, Really ? We toured all over the world? We played an arena in London? This is happening? Readjusting my goals and dreams has been something I’ve had to do a lot lately.”

Justin Bieber’s Funny Or Die Takeover: The Inside Story

A writer/producer of the newly named Bieber or Die dishes on her new boss. By Eric Ditzian Justin Bieber in Funny Or Die’s “Bieber After the Dentist” Photo: FunnyOrDie.com Times are tough in the entertainment biz. Network TV viewership continues to fall, jobs cuts are a fact of life, and latte budgets are reportedly being slashed in executive suites all over Hollywood. Enter 16-year-old pop throb Justin Bieber, who swooped in to purchase the sketch comedy Web site Funny or Die on Thursday (April 1). “The timing just seemed right for ‘Bieber or Die,’ ” Bieber said in a statement about the newly renamed site. “No one really cares for ‘funny’ anymore anyway. I mean try to define funny and then try to define Bieber, and you will understand completely.” Except not all. It was an inspired April Fools’ Day prank that had surprise appearance with Ludacris . We just hung out and waited for whenever he had five or 10 minutes and pulled him aside and shot the videos as quickly as possible. MTV : Tell us about the creative process? Did you just pitch him ideas? Did he throw any out to you? Palmigiano : Little bit of both. We had some ideas of things we wanted to get with him, and once we were with him, he had some ideas of videos he wanted to shoot as well. “Bieber After the Dentist” was his idea. “Bieber Takes a Tumble” was his idea. He really had fun with the “Bieber Takes Over” video. MTV : So you’ve lived out the dream of millions of middle school girls. What was it like spending the day with Justin Bieber? Palmigiano : He’s a really, fun, cool guy who’s fun to work with — and just a talented kid. He’s very busy. At the core of it all, he’s just a regular kid who’s living his dream. We hoped for him to be cool, and he’s been cool, since he’s our new boss. He took over Will Ferrell’s office upstairs. His posse’s hanging out. Everyone on staff is required to wear high tops at this point. He’s running it, and we couldn’t be happier. MTV : Aziz Ansari did an FOD video poking fun at Bieber not too long ago. Did that ever come up when Bieber was shooting his videos? Palmigiano : We did talk about it. When we arrived to start the day, we had the actor that played Justin Bieber in [Aziz’s] reenactment with us. There was a little bit of tension there. We were worried because Justin’s going to be our new boss, we helped Aziz make that video — are we going to have a problem? Justin was really diplomatic about it. Just a couple lashes, and it was a thing of the past. MTV : Not to get too much into the contract details, but what did Bieber pay for FOD? Did he pay in Monopoly money or candy corn? Palmigiano : I don’t think I’m at liberty to say exactly, but I will say it’s all in sweets and bubblegum. MTV : What’s Bieber like as a boss? Palmigiano : It’s like being in the movie “Big.” There’s toys everywhere and music playing constantly. He’s singing while walking down the hallways. It’s a really upbeat, positive environment. Most of us are in our 30s, so I don’t know how long we can keep up this pace. We’re doing out best. MTV : Now that Bieber’s in charge, are we going to see more of his videos on the site? Palmigiano : Absolutely. We have some ideas that we’re working on. This will not be the last of the Justin Bieber videos. Bieber is just getting started. Ashley Tisdale To Star In ‘High School Musical’ Spin-Off

Actress will reportedly return to Disney Channel for ‘Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventures.’ By Jocelyn Vena Ashley Tisdale Photo: Eric Charbonneau/ Getty Images Vanessa Hudgens, Zac Efron and Corbin Bleu have all said goodbye to their “High School Musical” alter egos for now, but apparently Ashley Tisdale wasn’t ready to just yet. She’s reportedly going to play Sharpay Evans again in her own spin-off film for the Disney Channel called, “Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventures.” A rep for the actress hadn’t returned MTV News’ request for comment by press time, but the rep did confirm to JustJared.com that Tisdale will star in and executive produce the movie, which will shoot this summer. It’s expected to premiere in 2011. There is no word on whether any of her former “High School Musical” pals (particularly Lucas Grabeel who plays her twin brother, Ryan) will also return for the TV-movie. “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” hit theaters in 2008, and there have been rumors that “High School Musical 4” is expected to go into production. While Tisdale and her co-stars seemed ready to try new projects after “HSM 3,” she didn’t rule out playing Sharpay again. “We don’t really know anything about ‘HSM 4,’ actually. It’s flattering to leave the door open for a character, so that’s really awesome,” she said in late 2008. “I’m just kind of looking forward to other projects as well. It’s something that we’ve always loved to do … and [we’re looking forward to] growing in our careers and looking ahead.” Tisdale has been busy with several non-“HSM” TV and movie projects, including the comedy “They Came From Upstairs” and a pilot for a CW series called “Hellcats.” Tisdale also started her own production company, Blondie Girl Productions . Justin Bieber Takes Over ‘Funny or Die’ In Elaborate April Fools’ Prank

‘Anything that’s not Bieber dies!’ teen star says in video message on ‘Bieber or Die.’ By Jocelyn Vena Photo: FunnyOrDie.com After “Parks and Recreation” star Aziz Ansari’s alter ego Raaaaaaaandy swore blood vengeance on Justin Bieber in a Funny or Die video for “stealing” his song “Baby,” it seems that Bieber is having the last laugh. In an elaborate April Fools’ Day prank, Bieber has taken over Funny or Die, renaming it “Bieber or Die.” A message on the Web site reads, “Justin Bieber has decided to buy Funny or Die and do with it whatever his tiny little heart desires.” Not only has Bieber “bought” the site to do whatever he pleases with it, he’s also made several videos for it. In one clip, called “Bieber Takes Over,” the teen star explains why he supposedly took over the site and the sorts of things he does now that he’s famous. “Anything that’s not Bieber dies!” he said. “I’m a star. I do what stars do. I ride on yachts. I autograph lady lumps. And I pay people to slap them.” “I talk loudly in libraries and I swim directly after I eat. I don’t care. I once ran into a club. They said, ‘Sir, you’re not old enough.’ So bought the club and I made it a Chuck E. Cheese. Now whose old enough, bitch? So remember, this is Bieber’s world. You’re just living in it. Bieber or die.” Other videos posted on the site include “Justin Bieber Screensaver,” “Bieber After the Dentist,” “OMG Bieber vs. Chuck Norris vs. Bear,” “Bieber Bucket,” “Bieber Takes a Tumble,” “OMG Bieber vs. OMG Cat” and “Dramatic Bieber.” Related Videos The Diary Of Justin Bieber Behind The Scenes Of Justin Bieber’s MTV.com Live Performance Sneak Peek: ‘The Diary Of Justin Bieber’ Related Photos Behind-The-Scenes Of ‘Diary Of Justin Bieber’: Paris Justin Bieber Live On MTV.com | Photos Related Artists Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber Finds Love In ‘Never Let You Go’ Video

Bieber visits the Bahamas with a lucky girl in the new clip. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber in his video for “Never Let You Go” Photo: Island In Justin Bieber’s last video , we saw him hanging with celebrity pals like Drake and Ludacris while winning back his girl with his killer bowling skills. But in his latest clip, Bieber is seen hanging out in the catacombs of Bahamian aquariums, surrounded by adorable teenage girls also gawking at the marine life. Bieber sings about love while surrounded by exotic fish in his new video, “Never Let You Go” . According to Ace Showbiz , Bieber’s love interest is played by up-and-coming actress Paige Hurd. The follow-up to “Baby” was directed by Colin Tilley and it was filmed in the Bahamas at the Atlantis resort earlier this year. Both singles are on Bieber’s recently released sophomore album, My World 2.0 . In this new clip, Bieber is seen performing on the beach and frolicking with Hurd. Bieber is definitely growing up a lot in this video — sharing near-kisses, touching and nuzzling with his girl. Shots of the pair in silhouette holding hands play into the video’s plot of two young teens falling in love in a very exotic locale. They eventually make their way out of the aquarium and out into the world where they share glances and Bieber displays his knack for Michael Jackson-esque dance moves. The video closes with shots of Bieber singing the line, “I’ll never let you go.” What do you think of Justin Bieber’s new video? Tell us in the comments! Justin Bieber Reacts To ‘Bieber Fever’ At Kids’ Choice Awards

In response to screams of support at Saturday’s show, Bieber says he’s ‘happy to have so many fans.’ By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Matt Elias Justin Bieber Photo: MTV News The highly contagious Bieber fever — known to infect mostly teenage girls, and a few celebrities ( minus Miley Cyrus ) — was in full force in Los Angeles over the weekend. Some of Bieber’s biggest fans were screaming their undying devotion to the star at the UCLA Pauley Pavilion, where he performed for the Kids’ Choice Awards . “It feels great. I’m just happy to be here, happy to have so many supportive fans,” Bieber told MTV News on the orange carpet, just moments before he hit the stage to sing his hit “Baby.” “Tonight, I’m performing, and I don’t know, I’m just gonna show everybody a great time,” he said. “We just recently started performing with a band, so that was big stuff. … We’re adding a lot of new elements. It’s going to be fun.” Among the A-listers who may be coming down with a little bit of the fever is Snoop Dogg , who called the 16-year-old “kind of cool,” despite the fact that Snoop’s Malice in Wonderland and Bieber’s My World 2.0 both dropped last week. “I met him at ‘We Are the World.’ It was amazing,” Bieber said of Snoop. “He was a really cool guy. We just basically [talked about] like [how] his daughter’s a fan and stuff.” Do you have Bieber fever? Tell us in the comments! Justin Bieber Keeping Kids’ Choice Awards Performance A Surprise

‘I don’t want to tell anyone,’ star says of his awards-show song choice. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber Photo: MTV News On Saturday, Justin Bieber will be one of two performers at Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards — along with Rihanna, he will be hitting the stage for the annual awards show. And while he just missed the deadline to be nominated for any prizes, he does know that when he gets up there to sing, his fans will be surprised by what they get. Bieber is keeping any performance details under wraps. “I do know what I’m performing, but I don’t want to tell anyone,” he teased. “Were both performing, but not together.” Once he finishes his Kids’ Choice Awards performance, Bieber is also set to hit another iconic stage when he plays “Saturday Night Live” on April 10 , with Tina Fey as host. “I’m really excited. I’ve watched it all my life,” he said. “So it’s amazing to be able to perform.” And as if that wasn’t reason enough to celebrate, just this week he released his sophomore album, My World 2.0. On it, he has a collaboration with Ludacris, “Baby,” and Lil Wayne has also said that he wants to work with the teen star. “I would love to work with him in the future, but nothing so far,” he said. Does Bieber really have a swagger coach to thank for being accepted by hip-hop’s elite? “I mean, I just hang out with whoever. I’m also friends with Selena Gomez. I hang out with everyone,” he said, adding any rumors of a swagger coach have been greatly exaggerated. “I mean, it’s just a joke. It’s just something we made up. … I don’t know; I’m just myself.” Are you excited about Justin’s performance? Tell us in the comments!
