Will You Be Watching? Lauren London Set To Replace Tia Mowry On The Game

Looks like the folks over at The Game aren’t wasting any time trying to fill the openings left by Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall’s departure. The “ATL” star, Lauren London will be joining the cast of the BET sitcom for its sixth season. The 27-year-old, whose previous TV credits include 90210 and Entourage, is penned to play the role of Keira, a 20-year-old former child star who is currently appearing on a Cosby Show-esque sitcom. According to TV Line, the show’s producers are also on the lookout for a male lead to play an educated, all-star running back to act opposite Lauren. The Game has just concluded it’s fifth season, with Pooch’s character deciding to get a fresh start by joining Tia’s character in Washington D.C. The show will return next year with regulars Wendy Raquel Robinson, Coby Bell, Hosea Chanchez, Brandy Norwood and Barry A. Floyd. A new set of characters may be just the thing the writers need to breathe new life into the stale show. It would have been nice for them to introduce the new characters before getting rid of Derwin and Melanie, but maybe they’ll do guest spots to help phase out their storyline. Do you think Lauren will be a good addition to the show? Will you be tuning in? Source

In White Folks News: Johnny Depp Is Back On The Market After He And Model Baby Mama Of 14 Years Call It Quits

Splitsville! Johnny Depp and his long time partner Vanessa Paradis announced that they have separated which RadarOnline.com previously reported on January 6: “Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have amicably separated. Please respect their privacy and, more importantly, the privacy of their children,” the actor’s publicist told Entertainment Tonight. “Johnny isn’t handling anything well right now,” a source close to the Pirates of the Caribbean star previously told RadarOnline.com about how he was dealing with the stress of ending their relationship. Johnny and Vanessa had been together for almost 15 years and have two children together, daughter Lily-Rose and son Jack, but they have been living separate lives and have not appeared together in months. The former model walked the red carpet in Paris for her new movie Café de Flore alone back in January and Johnny carried out all of the promotion work for his movie Dark Shadows solo too. However, despite not being spotted together for months, Vanessa and Johnny vehemently denied they had broken up, insisting all was well between them and not to believe “the lies.” A source close to the Oscar nominated actor told RadarOnline.com back at the beginning of the year though that he had been taking careful steps to end the relationship. “Johnny has started reaching out to lawyers, probably to quietly discuss how to get out of the relationship. They’re not married but they’ve been together for years and have kids together so it isn’t as easy as just breaking up,” the source said. Like any Hollyweird relationship, this one ran its course. Their relationship of 14 years outlasted most celeb marriages these days. Don’t cry for Johnny, folks. He will find a new gal very, very soon. Trust us.

Evelyn Lozada Says Star Jones Helped Her See The Bad Example She Was Setting For Young Girls Of Color

Evelyn Lozada wants the world to know she recently had an “aha” moment. In a letter penned to her 7-year-old self, the starlet admits she’s finally seen the error of her ways and will “Try To Do Better” Via the Huffington Post : From the Desk of Evelyn Lozada Dear Mija, In exactly twenty-nine years you’re going to find yourself at the middle of a mess that you unwillingly helped to create… You’re going to be the topic of a discussion about women on a national level that won’t be one of your proudest moments. And as large as your life may be at that time, the truth is that you’re going to feel painfully small. You’ll look through the rearview mirror of your life and see a mountain of mistakes. You’ll realize that although it appears that you’re living out a dream, your seven year old self could never picture this near nightmare at thirty-six. You’ll remember the days when you drowned out the fighting and drama in your own house and the negativity of the women you loved who ultimately shape who you will become. You’ll recall the moments when you sat in front of the television each day after school in search of someone positive and found Oprah and wondered if people like her would ever be a part of your life, or if you’d always have the jaded ones you watched on Jerry Springer. You’ll make no excuses for your actions, as a matter of fact, you’ll find yourself in tears at the Ah-ha moment Star Jones forces you to have. Beyond what you’ll initially perceive as a malicious attack by Star, lives a hard truth that will shake you to your core. YOU are the little girl, she’s talking about. And it hadn’t dawned on you the effects that your grown-up actions were having on the next generation of little ones who watch negative and abusive moments unfold on television. It’ll take the moment when you see and hear your future step-daughters pretending to be “you” after watching you behave badly on T.V., that you’ll actually feel real shame. Knowing that the self image they were imitating was the very ‘image of self’ you will so desperately try to escape. In utter embarrassment you’ll find yourself explaining your unacceptable behavior to them, reaching for the imprint of encouragement felt by Star, Oprah, our First Lady Michelle Obama and other positive women of color that have gone before you and that are prayerfully standing behind you…encouraging you…willing you to stand in the space God will so graciously provide for you.” It’ll be the wakeup call you need. Until now, you’d never put a race, or face or even an age to the eyes that idolize you or see you as an example: be it good or bad. And although, conscious now, you’ll carry the fear of failure with you each second because deep down, you’ll realize that you yourself had never been taught better. I cannot promise you perfection, Mija. I cannot say that overnight, I’m going to get it right every time. What I will promise you is that I will always remain conscious that little eyes like yours are watching me and because of that, I will try to be better. Learning To Love You More, Evelyn Are you buying it? Is Evelyn genuinely sorrry? Or is this a last ditch attempt to keep the public on her side? Either way, it’s a relief to see Evelyn owning up to her mistakes finally — isn’t it?

Hmmmm: Meagan Good Says That Her Wedding Night Will Be The First Time That Her God-Fearing Fiancee Will Chop Her Down!

That could make for a VERY interesting first time… Meagan Good Says Her Wedding Night Will Be The First Time She Has Sex With Fiancee Think Like a Man star Meagan Good, 30, is eager to marry her fiancé, preacher-movie producer DeVon Franklin. “Our wedding night will be the first time we’re actually together,” Meagan Good, who also stars in Showtime’s risqué series Californication, confides to Life & Style. How did she know DeVon was the one? “Because he was willing to be celibate with me for a year,” she says. “He loves God, more than I love God, so I don’t think there’s anything wrong [with him].” And their wedding planning is already set in motion. “We found the venue, which I’m really excited about, and it’s going to be in Malibu,” Meagan, who met her fiancé while making Jumping the Broom in 2011, tells Life & Style. “I know I want to go for a bayou-themed kind of Spanish mosque, a very enchanted-y Twilight feel.” Ok cool, we get it. Start anew, being celibate for a year together, great, real cute. But this is the man you’re about to spend the REST of your life with (in theory) so the question is…have you at least SEEN it Meg?!?! Furthermore, are we just talkin’ coochie celibate orrrr… We’re just sayin’… Image via SplashNews Source

For Your Information: Two-Thirds Of Pregnancies Were Unplanned For Unmarried Women In Their Twenties

Knocked Up ? Study Shows Two-Thirds Of Pregnancies Were Unplanned For Unmarried Women In Their Twenties This shouldn’t come as a big surprise to anyone. More than two-thirds of pregnancies in unmarried 20-something women between 2001 and 2008 were unplanned, a new study finds. In 2008 alone, nearly 10 percent of unmarried women ages 20 to 29 experienced an unintended pregnancy. About half of unintended pregnancies in this age group end in abortion, according to the study released Tuesday (April 24) by the non-profit Guttmacher Institute. The study pulled data on unplanned pregnancy, abortion and miscarriage rates from a multitude of national sources, including the National Center for Health Statistics, the National Survey of Family Growth and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The results revealed that there were 3.4 million pregnancies in women in their 20s between 2001 and 2008. Of these, more than half, or 1.95 million were in unmarried women. Of those 1.95 million pregnancies, 69 percent were unintentional. The rate was highest in women ages 20 to 24, with 73 percent of pregnancies in this age group unplanned. In women 25 to 29, 63 percent were unplanned. As of 2008, the researchers report online, 54 percent of births to unmarried women in their 20s were the result of an unintended pregnancy. In comparison, only 31 percent of births among married women were a result of unintended pregnancy. Among all women, about half of pregnancies are unplanned. Unplanned pregnancies included pregnancies that were completely unintended as well as pregnancies that occurred two or more years prior to when the women in question would have wanted one. Women with lower levels of education, women in poverty and black and non-white Hispanic women are at the highest risk for an unmarried, unintended pregnancy, the report found. Black and Hispanic women had twice the rate of unplanned pregnancies as their white counterparts, though black women were the only group over the 2001-2008 time period to see a decline in their rate of unplanned pregnancies. Women in poverty were three to four times more likely than the highest-income women to experience unplanned pregnancy, and women who had only a high-school diploma were twice as likely as women with some college to get pregnant unintentionally. At least unplanned pregnancies were on the decline for black women! This study is begging for a Plan B ad right next to it… Source More On Bossip! ChitChatter: Vanessa Williams Recounts Her Teenage Pregnancy, Abortion, And Desire For Sex As A Youngster!

Vanessa Williams is finally cleaning out her closet Vanessa Williams Reveals Abusive Sexual Past In Nightline Interview Having opened up earlier this month about the sexual abuse she suffered as a 10-year-old, Vanessa Williams is now revealing her heartbreaking secret high school pregnancy that ended in abortion. “Being pregnant is the most frightening thing that happens in your life,” revealed the 49-year-old Desperate Housewives star during an interview with ABC’s Nightline. “I knew in high school that’s something that I was not prepared to do, or fight, or struggle with.” The actress claims her early sexual awakening was a direct response to the molestation she suffered at the hands of a female family friend, as RadarOnline.com previously reported. “I think I was highly sexualized because I was in fifth grade and I had this experience,” she explained. “Because it feels good, you’re like, OK, well this is supposed to be normal. That’s not normal for a 10-year-old to be seduced.” While appearing on Nightline with her mom, Helen Williams, Vanessa revealed how she had aborted her baby as a teen because she was too scared to tell her parents about her fall from grace. Now a mother of four, the Ugly Betty star remained close-lipped about the abuse for many years, but she’s now sharing her sad secret in her upcoming memoir, You Have No Idea. In the book, Vanessa also tells-all about the infamous photoshoot that cost her the Miss America tiara. “I started out on top of a cab and ended up in a studded collar upstairs an hour later,” Williams said. “That was my joke, saying, you know, ‘How could I go from this trusting, you know, photo shoot, to being in S&M clothing within the same shoot with a guy I didn’t know.’” Ultimately, the snapper didn’t keep his word, and Vanessa was catapulted from the stage of Miss America to the pages of Penthouse, leading to a sex scandal that cost the beauty queen her crown. “I’ve learned to embrace my past. I embrace the choices that I have been given in my life,” she concluded. The full interview airs on ABC’s Nightline on Tuesday night at 11:35 p.m. EST. Looks like her dad can’t call her fat anymore … Via Necolebitchie : Over the past few days, Rihanna began leaking a few details about what the next single will be from the ‘Talk That Talk‘ era, but, more importantly, she revealed that she’s already working on a new video for said single. Later, she gave a sneak peek at one look from the shoot in a photo that showed her topless with her hair pulled into a high bun. Despite being topless, she looked somewhat innocent. As far as the single, she won’t be serving up any “Cake” with ex-boo Chris Brown. The Rihanna camp decided to produce visuals for another ‘Talk That Talk‘ favorite called “Where have You Been.” Not sure why she looks like one of those sad “for only $2 a day” kids but we’re kinda digging Rihanna’s “Coming To America” African bush-baby princess steez.
