Carolina Panthers Reveal New, Modernized Logo

A new quarterback took them from 2-14 to 6-10. So the Carolina Panthers can’t wait to see what a new logo does for them next season. Indeed, the team unveiled a slightly modified look to its logo today, removing an outline around their cats’ head, darkening the shade of blue around the edges and unhinging the feline’s jaw a bit. Can you even tell the difference? “We have one of the finest and most recognizable logos in the NFL and wanted to make it as modern as possible without losing the dramatic essence of the mark,” Panthers President Danny Morrison said of the revamp. What do you think, fans?

Gina Carano ‘In Control’ Of Male ‘Haywire’ Co-Stars

‘I didn’t have any issue [doing] this fight scene with a woman, because I was the underdog,’ Ewan McGregor tells MTV News. By Kara Warner Gina Carano in “Haywire” Photo: Claudette Barius / Five Continents Imports If you like your movies with a lot of action, kick-ass fight sequences and actors who do their own stunts, look no further than this week’s new thriller “Haywire” to satisfy those needs. The concept for the film was born after director Steven Soderbergh saw footage of MMA fighter Gina Carano in the cage, which inspired the Oscar winner to build a film around her. “Haywire” revolves around a black-ops supersoldier (Carano) who seeks the ultimate revenge after she is betrayed by her colleagues, played by the very capable Ewan McGregor, Channing Tatum, Michael Fassbender, Antonio Banderas and Michael Douglas. MTV News recently caught up with Carano, Tatum and McGregor to discuss the very realistic fight sequences and how the guys were more than game for getting their butts kicked by a woman. “The physicality, that was fun to me. I didn’t have to hurt anybody,” Carano said of the difference between the film’s choreographed fights versus her MMA matches. “I didn’t have to worry about getting choked out, and there were no egos with any of the actors. They all wanted to do all their own stunts, and a lot of people around me were like, ‘Gina, that’s not normal. You’ve got some beautiful people to work with and a beautiful first experience.’ ” “To be totally honest, she’s better than every guy I’ve ever fought, really, other than one, and he was a strike force fighter as well,” Tatum admitted of his co-star, with whom he shares an intense bone-breaking exchange during the first five minutes of the film. “I can say this without any amount of trying to say it for the movie: I challenge anyone to come and fight her or even move with her. She’s by far the best athlete I’ve ever gotten a chance to move with. She’s so strong and in control, it’s just ridiculously unprecedented in my opinion.” McGregor added that he didn’t even think about the man-vs.-woman factor, only that it was the most appropriate scenario for his manipulative, weasel-like character. “There was a slight difference in our fight scene together. For me, I didn’t ever have any issue with the fact that I was having to do this fight scene with a woman, because I was the underdog,” he said. “There was no question that I was going to get killed if I didn’t manage to get away.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Haywire.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .

Nigerian Pastor Slaps The Mess Out Of A Woman “You Are-A-Foul-Devil!” [Video]

“Bishop David Oyedepo slaps and condemns a woman to hell who came to give her life to Jesus during an alter call. The Woman who had poor English, probably meant to say, “I wish for Jesus” but she could not tell the difference between the two words. Even if she was a “witch” he was wrong for slapping her as she was trying to repent. ” More On Bossip! Vanessa Vs. REVIEW: Fassbender, Focused Yet Unselfconscious, Makes Shame Compelling

Steve McQueen’s Shame is perhaps mistitled: It’s the story of a man who has sex more often than he probably wants it, though still not as often as he needs it, which is a pretty fine distinction to make. And the word “shame” by itself is too loaded, too inherently judgmental. The idea isn’t that this character — his name is Brandon and he’s played, superbly, by Michael Fassbender — is doing anything he ought to be ashamed of. It’s simply that the shame he feels is nearly unbearable. Shame could have gone all wrong with the wrong actor. Luckily, McQueen has the right one in Fassbender, and that makes all the difference.

Would You Order “Nut Liquor” At The Bar? [POLL]

Read more:

I swear that it’s becoming harder to tell the difference between reality and parody. On this freaky Friday some of my fellow alcoholics were tweeting about a new vodka called “Nut Liquor.” Yes. Nut. Liquor. This peanut flavored vodka is 69 Proof liquor that is “ distilled to taste like the center of a peanut butter cup, with no harsh after taste. ” While this may be yummy to some, George Washington Carver may be spinning in his grave over the name. But seriously, ladies and gents, would you feel comfortable ordering a shot of “Nut Liquor” at the bar? Michael Lohan to Lindsay: Lay Off the Crack and Meth!!

Michael Lohan is concerned about his daughter, and for good reason. Not only is she constantly in legal trouble, having been thrown in jail for the 14,384th time yesterday … but have you seen Lindsay Lohan’s teeth ? “She’s an addict, she doesn’t care and she’s in denial,” her dad said . “I want her in treatment for a year. Otherwise nothing is going to change in her life.” Mike thinks Lindsay’s on crack or meth, and if she doesn’t get her act together, she won’t be visiting the morgue for community service, but permanently. This explains a lot . On Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell on HLN Wednesday, Michael Lohan – no stranger to legal problems himself, which tells you something – said the following: “The [issue with her teeth], that’s from smoking a pipe with meth or crack. She’s smoking either crack or meth, one or the other. I’m not going to shade it.” Linds reportedly had emergency dental surgery to fix her rotting teeth last week, amid concerns sparked when she walked a red carpet with a dented ass grill. “[Prescription medication] would affect all your teeth, not just the front,” the elder Lohan adds. “You can’t dance with the devil and expect to go home with Jesus.” Whatever you say, MiLo. Whatever you say.

Moammar Gadhafi Death Photo, Video Released

This morning’s reports that exiled Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi is dead have now been confirmed. There’s photo and video evidence, and it is graphic. Unlike photo or video evidence of the death of Osama bin Laden , which was never released to the public, Al Jazeera has already aired it this afternoon. News outlets across the world are reporting the story along with a photo of bloody, dying Moammar Gadhafi, moments after he was captured in Libya. Libyan officials have confirmed Gadhafi was shot to death when rebels pulled him out of a storm drain near his home town of Sirte early this morning. We’ve posted the photo and video of Gadhafi’s dead body taken immediately after the 69-year-old despot was killed. Be forewarned, both are graphic: Moammar Gadhafi Dead Body

Caroline Manzo Calls Out Teresa Giudice, Addresses "Miserable" RHONJ Reunion

Part one of the Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion special last Sunday night was so contentious, it was almost as if cast members had been told what to say and how to act. That’s totally ridiculous, of course, we know. The harshest exchanges took place between Caroline Manzo and Teresa Giudice, as the former went after the latter’s marriage and financial woes, among other topics. Does Caroline have any regrets? Not really. In a new blog entry , Manzo says the experience was “miserable,” but “I was telling the truth… I couldn’t hide my feelings. I didn’t see why I should at this point.” Among specific topics addressed by Caroline online: Her reference to Teresa’s cookbook as being as Italian as the Olive Garden : “We joked [about that], but here’s the difference – we didn’t joke about my son, Melissa, Kathy or Richie… To use my words as a defense against your insulting remarks towards my son is unbelievable. Apology not accepted.” Caroline’s relationship with sister Dina : “Congratulations, Teresa, the only thing you succeeded in doing was hurting my parents. What a fool I’ve been in my efforts to bring your family together when it was your intent to destroy mine from the start. Shame on you.” Her overall reaction to the argument : “Unlike you, Teresa, I can look in the mirror and hold my head high knowing that I have always given the best of myself to my family and friends. I live my life with integrity and self-respect.”
