Our own Aaron Gardner was on hand to record Governor Rick Perry ‘s remarks after the debate last night. I’ll be putting up the video in two parts: this part consists of the formal remarks that Governor Perry made, and the second will be from the question-and-answer period. Not to be, ah, pawkish about this or anything: but as you can see, the difference between Perry’s performance at debates, and… Broadcasting platform : YouTube Source : Red State Discovery Date : 12/10/2011 16:52 Number of articles : 3

Jamie Foxx Clarifies Hairdo, On ‘When I Was 17’

‘I had the major curl, not the Jheri curl,’ he explains on new episode, airing Saturday at 11 a.m. ET/PT on MTV. By Sara Waber Jamie Foxx Photo: MTV Jamie Foxx reveals the appalling misconception of his hairdo during the ’80s on this week’s episode of “When I Was 17,” airing Saturday at 11 a.m. ET/PT on MTV. “When I was 17, I had the major curl, not the Jheri curl,” Foxx says. “A lot of people get it twisted and confused, and they say ‘Jheri curl.’ ” What’s the difference, you’re wondering? He explains, “I had the little curls in the front and the big ones in the back.” His friend Gilbert shares who else worked this ‘do: “I would link the major curl to women or pimps, for the most part.” But growing up in a small town in Texas, Jamie’s major curl must have helped him stand out from the crowd. “Where I grew up was Terrell, Texas, right outside of Dallas: 12,000 people, a small town where everybody knew everybody,” he says. Besides maintaining his hairdo, Foxx tells us how he spent the rest of his time when he was 17: “It was just real simple. It was about having a crush on a girl, walking her from the football stadium, holding hands. You go park, and the cops bang on the door, ‘What y’all doing?’ ” Nobody likes a flattened major curl. “When I Was 17” — this week featuring Jamie Foxx, Tia and Tamera Mowry, and Chris Bosh — airs Saturday at 11 a.m. ET/PT on MTV. Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV Shows ‘Three Different Sides’

Weezy wrote tracks for the LP before, during and after his 2010 jail bid, Young Money President Mack Maine tells MTV News. By Rob Markman Lil Wayne Photo: Clinton Gilders/ FilmMagic It’s finally here, but the road to Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV was no cakewalk. It’s been a long journey, and according to Young Money President Mack Maine, Weezy F. conceptualized C4 in three stages: pre-prison, in-prison and post-prison. “He did the ‘Blunt Blowin’ joint as soon as he got out. He actually wrote that one while he was in Rikers,” Mack Maine told MTV News of the second track on Tha Carter IV. “But he also did ‘So Special’ and he did ‘She Will’ when he came home, which the ladies are gonna love. So that was kinda like the difference.” The first mentions of the LP came nearly three years ago in September 2008 when it was said that Wayne began recording the album . Instead of following up on his Carter series right after the third installment, Weezy switched gears and dropped his We Are Young Money label compilation album in December 2009 and then his rocked-out Rebirth LP and I Am Not a Human being in 2010 while he was serving an eight-month prison bid. Wayne was released in November 2010 , and a month later, he dropped the first official C4 single, “6 Foot 7 Foot,” featuring Cory Gunz. In March came the Rick Ross-assisted street single “John.” After releasing a pair of rap-centric tracks, things got much more rhythmic with the album’s third single, “How to Love,” and “She Will” with Drake. “I don’t think he would’ve did “She Will” or “So Special” right before he went in,” Mack said of two of Tha Carter IV ‘s more female-friendly tracks. “That wasn’t where his mind was at, but all in all, you got some of Wayne before he went in, you actually got some of Wayne while he was in there, and you got some when he came out. So you got three different sides of Wayne.” Related Artists Lil Wayne Mack Maine

Selita Ebanks Disses Nick Cannon’s Man-Parts And Says Diddy Can’t Kiss Good Either [Video]

Dayuuuuuuuuum… Selita Ebanks is a beyatch! Yeezy’s lil “muse” let the whole world known she was underwhelmed by former fiance Nick Cannon in the sack during a recent interview. While appearing on HDNet’s “Naughty But Nice Rob” Selita Ebanks was FAR from nice as she dissed Nick Cannon’s tiny “male talent,” Diddy’s kissing skills and advised big girls to stay away from spandex. Here’s what she had to say: “I mean I technically wore a ring but I don’t think I was really engaged,” Ebanks tells me of her relationship with Cannon. “I want a Prince. I want Prince Harry. Do you think the queen would accept me?” And as far as kissing she gives Cannon a “meh” but was less enthusiastic about his other, most private asset giving it an even less passionate “meh.” Ebanks, who is now one of the top earning models in the industry, says she knew she was beautiful at just 6 years old. Sitting in front of her mother’s vanity and catching a glimpse of herself she said, “Oh, I could make some money,” and boy was she right. Now she’s making millions, modeling Victoria Secret’s signature Angel wings — which she says protect her. “Well if you’re an angel those other b*tches don’t mess with you,” Ebanks dishes. “Behind the scenes you do hear snide remarks. I’ve heard girls literally talk about another girl in her face, and literally if she had claws she would be minced meat.” And although she says she doesn’t judge other people, she does has some advice for larger ladies. “Listen, I love voluptuous women, what bothers me is when they wear spandex. Don’t wear spandex ladies if you are over size 16. Just because it comes in your size does not mean it’s for you. As women we can wear whatever we want, be sexy but just know the difference, everything has a time and place.” SMH. Not nice. Get her Mimi! Watch part of the interview below: The entire interview with Selita airs on “Naughty But Nice with Rob,” on HDNet Saturday at 1:00 PM and 7:00.

Friday Box Office: Limitless Squeaks Out On Top While Four Films Battle For Second Place

It’s going to be a bumpy weekend. A scant couple of millions separated first place Limitless from fifth place Rango in the Friday box office, with the difference between number two Battle: Los Angeles , number three Paul and fourth place Lincoln Lawyer being just a few hundred thousand. Look for a lot of jockeying for position and a lot of chest-puffing the next few days, and of course watch the numbers change as the final amounts coming pouring in. Your Friday box office is here.
