Not to be outdone by Jeff Bridges’ $24,000 federal tax lien , Kathryn Bigelow has both domestic and international quarrels affecting her post-Oscar profile these days. And while you could argue that this year’s groundbreaking Best Director isn’t technically on the front lines of the war on Hurt Locker piracy, she faces a bit more personal skirmish in her attempt to make her follow-up, Triple Frontier .

Miley Cyrus Shares ‘Credit’ For ‘Can’t Be Tamed’ Video

By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by James Lacsina Photo: MTV News Miley Cyrus might have taken some major strides toward her post-Disney career with the sexed-up video for “Can’t Be Tamed,” but the singer didn’t do it alone. When it came time to create a concept for the slick clip — for the title song from her upcoming June album — her director and choreographer helped the star get creative. “I worked with Robert Hales, who is an amazing director,” she raved to MTV News about Hales, who has also worked with Demi Lovato, the Jonas Brothers and Justin Timberlake. “And again, I didn’t look at any of his work he’s done previously. I don’t even know really what he’s done previously.” Instead, the two focused on what they could do now that Cyrus is beginning to plot out life after “Hannah Montana.” “I just know that when we talked and what I said, he got excited and envisioned it the way I did,” Cyrus said. “And that’s what I wanted. I wanted someone that would get excited about it, and he was. So it was awesome. My choreographer, Jamal [Sims], also helped me come up with the concept. … I definitely am not going to take full credit.” The result of her collaboration is a clip that, according to Miley , can’t be compared to previous music videos. “I made a big point to everyone that I didn’t want anyone else to watch a music video and show me and say, ‘This is what I think we should do,’ ” she said. “I don’t think it looks like any other music video. James Beard Awards is celebrated to commemorate the American chef and food writer James Andrew Beard. He was born on May 5, 1903 and died on January 21, 1985. He was the man behind the introduction of French food in America. He had also established Gourmet American Food Identity and was an expert of American Style Gourmet Cooking. The James Beard Awards 2010 was held last night. In the ceremony, top level chefs attended the celebration and awards were given to them based on their work performance. New Clip Proves Jonah Hex May Actually Come Out on Time

Who knows what WB is doing with Jonah Hex ? From the very beginning, this summer movie has had so many strikes against it (it’s a Western, it has an unproven box office draw in Josh Brolin, the lead character is unattractively scarred, the director has never made a live-action film before, another director was hired for reshoots) that it’s a miracle it got made at all, let alone with a sizable budget. Still, for a movie coming out June 18, it’s more than a little bizarre that the studio waited this long to release anything related to it, be it a trailer or even stills from the production.

Studio Pulling ‘Hitler Finds Out’ Videos
