Source: Win McNamee / Getty Trump Pushes Through Criminal Justice Reform Bill; But Still Threatens Government Shutdown According to CNBC , Donald Trump has officially signed a Criminal Justice reform bill, all while the threat of a government shutdown looms. Calling the bill “an incredible success for our country” and “beyond bipartisan” during an Oval Office signing ceremony, the proposed legislation will give judges more discretion when sentencing some drug offenders and will boost prisoner rehabilitation efforts In a rare instance of both Democratic and Republican lawmakers agreeing on a similar issue, all agreed that the signing was a hugely influential package and thanked the president for supporting the issue and uniting conservatives and liberals. While the reform legislation was considered a success, the House and Senate adjourned Friday night as negotiations continued between White House and congressional leaders over border wall funding. This guarantees a partial government shutdown at midnight when 25% of federal government funding is set to lapse.

Florida man, Brian Kolfage, started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money online for Trump’s border wall to keep Mexicans from entering the U.S., writing, “It’s up to Americans to help out and pitch in to get this project rolling. If the 63 million people who voted for Trump each pledge $80, we can build the wall.” Kolfage’s campaign has raised nearly $7 million, with a goal of $1 billion, which is one-fifth of the $5 billion that President Trump has been demanding from Congress. As of Thursday, the fundraiser received contributions from more than 110,000 Trump supporting, racist people. Luckily, Congress hasn’t approved DT’s request for that 5 billi, but his followers are certainly trying to find a way or make one. SMH.

Ah, David Eason. You almost have to admire the many new and innovative ways in which he manages to be a complete jackass on a daily basis. Almost. David is such a fool that not even law enforcement can keep up with his idiocy. Fortunately, he's in the habit of documenting his crimes on social media. Take, for example, this latest incident in which Jenelle Evans' doofus husband decided to incriminate himself on YouTube after pulling an incredibly stupid stunt. Check it out: 1. Always Angry David is angry all the time. He’s angry at the government, his wife, his kids, and the people who are unfortunate enough to live in close proximity to The Land. 2. Criminal Activity David is no longer a reality star — in fact, he’s not employed at all — but fortunately, he’s in the habit of documenting his crimes on social media, thus making them easier to prosecute. 3. The Latest David’s latest legal headache is actually the result of a crime he committed back in June. But since he just posted the video on YouTube this week, he’s only now being investigated. 4. Taking the Law Into His Own Hands As you can see, David took it upon himself to tow a truck belonging to a stranger, whom he felt had blocked him into a parking space. 5. According to Internet research, there are some people out there who find Michael Rapaport to be funny. To any of these individuals, we have a simple question to ask: WHY?!? The perpertually attention-starved actor (who is actually very good in the Netflix series Atypical, for whatever that is worth) made headlines this week when he shared a throwback photo of Ariana Grande and made fun of her appearance. For what reason? Because Rapaport is perpetually attention-starved, remember. Along with a photo of a younger Grande throwing up a peace sign at the camera, the D-Lister wrote the following yesterday: Ariana Grande is 27 acts 12, you take off those boots she hides her legs in, the cat eye make up and the genie pony tale and I think there’s hotter women working the counter at Starbucks no disrespect to Starbucks. Ummmm… LOL? As you might expect, the Internet jumped all over Rapaport for this Tweet and this awful non-joke. “How dare she have a picture taken without being in full makeup! It’s like she’s a real person sometimes,” wrote one user, while another added: “first of all… this was 2012, second she is 25 not 27. she is indeed very petite but none the less can stand her ground. this is a more recent picture of her without makeup. ur welcome for me helping u rephrase ur facts! spread love not hate, its ugly. thank u, next.” Another person just referred to Rapaport as a “creep.” To the actor’s credit (we guess), he didn’t back down or apologize. He at least stood his ground and didn’t offer up some half-hearted mea culpa in the face of this backlash. Nope, he just made himself sound like an even bigger douche canoe instead. “When I talk vicioulsy (sic) about The Leader of the Free World aka Dick Stain Donald Trump or Tiki Torch Tough Guys in Virginia, I’m a Social Media HERO, but a joke about Ariana Grande is SHAMING. EAT Dwycks SnowFlakes,” he Tweeted. And then he added: “I can say ANYTHING about Cockeyed Kellyanne, Laura Ingram,Melania,Ivanka or Candance Owens & you little Hipster Fake P–sy Power Hat Wearing MoFo’s get hype.Elation Talk shit about Arianna Grande & I hate Women? #Eat3Dwycks.” Grande has not responded to Rapaport, likely because he’s not worth an iota of her time. But she also has a lot going on these days. The singer was called out by Kanye West last week for sort of mocking his mental illness, and she’s also dealing with ex-fiance Pete Davidson seemingly spiraling downward in a hurry. The comedian said a few days ago that he no longer “wants to be on Earth,” prompting a panicked response by Ariana. But sources say Davidson is refusing to see her . We hope he’s doing okay. This morning, our large adult president, Donald Trump, took to Twitter to share the news that ISIS has been defeated in Syria. This is obviously BS, as the terrorist group claimed credit for an attack in Raqqa just ten minutes before Trump’s announcement, but still — the optimistic assessment must have come as welcome news to one of the internet’s most prominent bearded weirdos. In case you’re unfamiliar, Twitter founder and CEO Jack Dorsey is what would happen if someone took Mark Zuckerberg’s obliviousness to Nazis and mashed it together with Russell Brand’s performative spirituality. As you can see from his attire, at all times Dorsey is prepared to do DMT with Joe Rogan at a moment’s notice. As far as we know, that consciousness-elevating bro-down has yet to transpire, but Dorsey has spent a lot of time jawing about chakras and sh-t with another one of social media’s favorite weirdos. Even if you’re not familiar with Azealia Banks’ music, you’re probably aware of some of her bizarre celebrity feuds. Most recently, Banks attacked Elon Musk in a bizarre social media tirade, claiming that she witness the Tesla CEO making important business decisions while tripping on acid. At the time, a lot of media outlets cast doubts on Banks’ claims, but perhaps we should give her the benefit of the doubt — as eccentric CEOs really seem to let their guard down around the rapper. Before she was booted off Twitter in 2016, Banks tweeted that Dorsey has “sent me his hair in an envelope because I was supposed to make him an amulet for protection.” On that occasion as well, the claim was widely dismissed, but now — in the Christmas miracle we never knew we needed — it’s been confirmed that Dorsey asked Banks to use her witchcraft to protect him from ISIS: “A source who worked with him told me Dorsey had sent a rapper his beard shavings to make him an amulet that would protect him from evildoers,” Vanity Fair reporter Nicky Bilton wrote in a recent profile of Dorsey. Proving that American journalism is alive, well, and thriving in these difficult times, Spin magazine picked up the ball and ran with it, confirming that the rapper in question was indeed Banks: “At the time, Banks said Dorsey promised to promote her mixtape Slay-Z in exchange for her promoting his cash transfer app Square and her crafting him a magical object that might protect him from ISIS, which had threatened Dorsey in a video earlier that year,” SPIN wrote. “Dorsey never tweeted about the project and presumably never received the amulet.” In other words, Dorsey sought protection from ISIS, didn’t get it, and pissed off a famously short-tempered witch in the process. Entertainment / Getty Van Jones Credits Kim Kardashian For Getting First Step Act Passed Van Jones’ enthusiasm for Kim Kardashian’s efforts at prison reform is somewhat understandable, but he’s taking it a bit far. TMZ caught up with CNN’s resident political analyst and he gushed about the Senate passing the First Step Act in an overwhelming 87-12 vote. The act aims to free 50,000 people from prison and end the inhumane treatment of women inmates. Make no mistake, this is very good thing. That said, you’re hard-pressed to convince us that Kim Kardashian’s meeting with Donald Trump is the sole reason this legislation passed. In the latest condemnation of his fellow rapper, Snoop made his feelings about Ye very clear as he posted an Instagram video bumping some Drake in the car before going on to tell Kanye he needs to get off his phone and handle his issues in person. “Is y’all getting tired of Kanye West and these tweets? ‘Cause I am,” Snoop sbegan, while Drizzy’s “From Time” played in the background. “I see why n***a, you and Donald Trump hangout. N***a, y’all tweet like a motherf**ker. I think that n***a need Dr. Phil or Maury … You know what? That n***a need Jerry Springer.” The Long Beach native went on to criticize Yeezy for addressing Drake over social media and told him to “get your a** off your phone and go holla at that n***a in real life. Stop telling the whole f**king world what you’re going through. We don’t give a f**k!” Even though Kanye made a point of praising Snoop in his recent rant (despite his public disapproval of Ye’s recent actions) it looks like the Tha Doggfather was still unimpressed. He donned the sneakers to express his disapproval of the racial division that Donald Trump has incited in our country. One sneaker was black, the other was white, and both had the word “equality” on them. The addition of the sneakers to the museum will add to the history and ongoing narrative of how athletes are using their platforms to bring attention to social justice issues. “When he wore the black and white pair, it’s something we paid attention to. Thinking about the significance of the shoes and LeBron’s contribution to fighting for social justice, we decided it would make sense and be a great opportunity to add these shoes into our collection,” Dr. Damion Thomas , who curates the sports exhibit at the museum, told USA Today . “One of our main goals is not just collect things with significant historical background and importance, but also think about the objects that allow us to engage in the contemporary questions and issues that the nation is grappling with.” The sneakers are slated to be featured at the museum this fall. This isn’t the first time that James has been involved with the museum.
