Amy Duggar Marries Dillon King!

The Duggars finally have a piece of news they can celebrate. Amy Duggar – the niece of Michelle and Jim Bob and the cousin of the disgraceful Josh Duggar  – exchanged vows on Sunday with fiance Dillon King. According to various sources, the beautiful ceremony uniting the two lovebirds in holy matrimony took place in Bentonville, Arkansas. It featured girls who rang a bell while walking down the aisle, as opposed to flower girls; and the sermon took place on roller coasters. “We kept it really short and fun but still meaningful and sincere,” Amy Duggar explained to Us Weekly of the speech. It’s unclear which members of this controversial family were in attendance and it’s unclear whether Amy had saved herself for her wedding night. But she probably did. Amy and Dillon are rebels compared to the rest of the Duggars, kissing and full-frontal hugging before marriage and all, but are still traditional. The couple started dating in November 2014 and she announced her engagement to Dillon King on Instagram on Monday, July 13. And the best part of all for Amy? Aside from spending the rest of her life with the man she loves? She’ll be changing her name. thereby distancing herself from a family whose national reputation has taken quite a molesting and infidelity-based hit of late. “I’m so excited to take his last name ,” Amy said last week. “I think that’s going to be a really awesome feeling.” In more ways than one. She doesn’t call out her disgraced brother Josh by name, but there’s nothing cryptic about the message Jessa Duggar is sending him today. By sharing something very interesting on all of her social media accounts, she leaves little doubt as to how she feels about his indiscretions: Are we reading too much into this? We don’t think so. Jessa linked on Facebook to a sermon entitled: “The Passions That Prevent Adultery.” Man. Given that Josh admits cheating on Anna Duggar with at least one stripper, and who the heck knows how many more women? Let’s just say adultery is a topical issue in Duggarland right about now. She copies the sermon’s whole synopsis into her post, too: “God cures our heart’s broken desires for sin. The dominoes are starting to fall in terms of the protective wall the Duggars usually put up around themselves in times of crisis. Both women were molested by Josh when he was a teen, as revealed in a scandal that is now just part of his epic downfall. Jessa Duggar: Speaking Engagement Protested By Victims’ Rights Advocates

Jessa Duggar has undergone quite a shift in public perception in recent months. Thanks in no small part to the various Josh Duggar sex scandals , Jessa has gone being seen as the semi-relatable “down to earth one” in a family full of religious zealots, to the embodiment of the sort of misogynistic, oppressive culture that allows a predator like Josh to go unpunished. Sources say Jessa is angry that Josh’s indiscretions have led to a lack of public interest in her pregnancy , and now she may have yet another reason to be pissed off at her oldest brother: According to Radar Online, Jessa’s upcoming speech at the Southern Women’s Show may be canceled due to outrage over her family’s sheltering of a deviant molester and adulterer. “I would bet that there will be many women coming to your event that have been sexually molested,” wrote one critic on the event’s Facebook page. “How do you think they will feel about this girl who minimizes it and has been taught it is her fault. You seriously need to re-think who your paid guests are! “Why the hell would you invite a girl who was raised in a family that looks down on women?” wrote a different Facebook user. “I’M NOT GOING NOW!!! P*** poor role model, liar from a bigot family. BOYCOTT!” wrote another. Jessa was initially viewed as a sympathetic figure, having been groped and sexually harassed by her brother when she was still in her pre-teen years. Her vehement defense of Josh’s actions , however, have led many to believe that she’s too brainwashed by her family’s patriarchal beliefs to make a suitable speaker for an event designed to empower women.  Currently, Jessa is still scheduled to take the stage at 1 pm tomorrow. Josh Duggar Enters Rehab, Gets SLAMMED By Parents

In a surprise move, Josh Duggar has entered rehab today as a result of his recent sexual misconduct. TMZ is reporting that Duggar is seeking treatment at an undisclosed location for issues remain unspecified, but are clearly tied to his recent scandals. Generally, matters such as Josh’s indiscretions are dealt with “in house,” or within the Duggars’ spiritual community. When Josh received counseling from church elders after he molested five young girls in the early 2000s, this was infamously the case. The fact that Josh is seeking a more conventional form of treatment is an indication of just how seriously his family is taking this latest scandal. After admitting to cheating on his wife and suffering from an addiction to pornography, one can see why any parents would be concerned. Josh’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle, have issued an uncharacteristically critical statement to the press regarding teh decision: “His wrong choices have deeply hurt his precious wife and children and have negatively affected so many others.” “He has also brought great insult to the values and faith we hold dear.” The Duggars have revealed that Josh’s wife, Anna Duggar, is also seeking treatment “for her heart and future.” Michelle and Jim Bob add that they are praying Josh will prove capable of “sincere change.” Is Anna finally fed up? Yesterday, the world learned that Josh Duggar used Ashley Madison , the hacked adultery website, to help him cheat on his wife, Anna Duggar. It was the latest in a long line of scandalous revelations for Duggar, coming on the heels of news that he had molested four of his sisters . That was in 2002 and 2003, though. Horrific as it was, a long time has passed since then. These current revelations, however, are recent. In addition to Ashley Madison, it appears that 27-year-old father of four Josh was on OK Cupid trolling for chicks behind Anna’s back. Josh has issued a statement in which he basically admits as much, confessing his history of infidelity … and addiction to pornography. “I have been the biggest hypocrite ever,” the former lobbyist admits. “While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the Internet.” “This became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife.” “I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family.” “And, most of all, Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him. “I brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions that happened when I was 14-15 years old.” “Now I have re-broken their trust.” “The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country, I was hiding my own personal failings.” “I humbly ask for your forgiveness,” he concludes. “Please pray for my precious wife Anna and our family during this time.” Wow. Just wow. Not a bad statement considering the situation, but still, nothing short of astonishing that it came to this. Anna Duggar has yet to speak on the matter, and given the strict nature of the Duggars’ religious beliefs, it is unlikely that she will file for divorce. First time for everything, though? In any case, earlier today, an insider at TLC revealed that Josh’s list of indiscretions has likely brought the Duggars’ television careers to an end . The Duggars have officially abandoned their attempt to bury the ugly details of the Josh Duggar molestation scandal . Instead, they’re now trying to cash in on it. First, the family announced its involvement in Breaking the Silence, a film about sex abuse victims starring Jill and Jessa Duggar . Now, the Duggars are reportedly hoping to return to television full-time with a series in which Michelle, Jim Bob, and their adult children would counsel victims of rape, molestation and incest. Insiders say that while all of the adult members of the family would be involved with the show, Jim Bob and Michelle would be doing the majority of the counseling. “They know they have to at least pretend to be sorry about what happened,” one source tells Star magazine. “Now they want a spin-off where Jim Bob and Michelle would give advice to abuse victims — even though they’re still in denial about their culpability in Josh’s crimes.” Thus far, no networks have expressed interest in the show. The insider says the Duggars are “kidding themselves” if they think TLC will give them another shot. Many execs who are no doubt enticed by the built-in audience that accompanies the Duggars wherever they go will likely be scared off by the fact that the new show sounds like a desperate, insincere cash grab. Not only did Jim Bob and Michelle attempt to downplay Josh’s crimes during their interview with Megyn Kelly, it now seems as though the family is hard up for cash. The Duggars have even taken asking fans for donations on a page promoting their YouTube channel. All of this seems to suggest that the Duggars are still oblivious to the trauma suffered by victims of childhood sexual abuse – but are acutely aware of their own money troubles.

Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar to Parents: Remove All Worldly and Sensual Content!

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are at it again. And by “it” we mean trying to remain relevant and/or remind us why they were once relevant. Their popularity peaked just as the Josh Duggar molestation scandal broke and torpedoed it – along with their TLC reality show – for good. The parents of 19 tried and failed to rebuild their image, one which was already controversial, yet in a sense pure, in the scandal’s wake. Whether it was their initial cover-up or attempts to re-frame Josh’s molestation as ” inappropriate touching ,” the public had just had enough. That pretext is hard to ignore when reading the couple’s “Note to Fathers” and “Note to Mothers” respectively, on the Duggars’ official site. “Start protecting your family,” Jim Bob writes, “by removing books, magazines, television, or internet that have worldly or sensual content.” “Replace them with good things like wholesome music, biographies of great Christians , good old-fashioned family fun and games.” Words fail us at this point, and we doubt we’re alone there. Any parent is also wary, at least to a degree, of the dangers lurking online, and making sure their kids are old enough to handle them. But “protect” them from “worldly” content? And biographies of Christians, as if any other person or historical event would be irrelevant? “Sheltering” and “smothering” do not begin to describe this. Michelle Duggar , meanwhile, talks mostly about laundry, furthering her view that man guides his wife and children in all matters, the end. All in all, this just makes us long for the good ol’ days.
