Josh & Anna Duggar Celebrate Wedding Aniversary, Get Slammed By Fans

It’s been two years since the world learned that Josh Duggar molested four of his sisters and one other minor. For obvious reasons, the Duggars have been eager to sweep that shocking scandal under the rug, but thankfully, some vigilant former fans aren’t allowing them to do so. In keeping with the promise they made to TLC, the Duggars have not brought Josh on Counting On , the reality series they launched after 19 Kids and Counting was canceled due to advertisers cutting ties with the network in disgust. But the Duggars certainly haven’t given up on helping Josh earn a pardon for his crimes in the court of public opinion. Every time Josh and wife Anna mark a new milestone, the Duggars use it as an opportunity to rebuild Josh’s public image. Earlier this month,  Anna welcomed her fifth child , and the Duggars posted photos of the happy couple all over their social media pages in hopes of garnering a favorable response from fans. The photos were quickly removed after fans expressed their displeasure. But now the Duggars are rallying behind Josh again – and receiving the same predictable results. Jim Bob and Michelle posted the above throwback photo in celebration of Josh and Anna’s ninth wedding anniversary this week. “Happy Anniversary Josh and Anna,” the caption read. “We love you both so much and are so thankful for God’s grace and love in your lives. We pray He will be with you as you follow Him. Love, Mom & Dad PS–We are also thankful for the beautiful legacy of five wonderful grandchildren!!” Needless to say, fans didn’t share those warm feelings: “There is no way I could stay married to this man let alone have more children with him!,” wrote one follower., referencing the recent birth of Josh and Anna’s fifth child. “I live [sic] the Duggar family’s and the shows but it disgusts me to even hear anything about Josh .. to me Anna is staying against her will .. she’s staying because of his and her family’s ..so sad,” she added. “Dudes, again, your son has major issues,” commented another fan. “Parading him and his family in the public eye just makes people feel terrible. It’s too soon. “For the sake of his recovery, his wife and the rest of your family it might be best to keep your love and support private for now. I’m sure they don’t need the inevitable negativity. Their family has suffered enough from being in the public eye.” Some followers were even more blunt, making it clear that their anger toward Josh for his appalling misdeeds will never dissipate: “Ugh he’s such a smug arrogant a–hole. I go back and forth being angry at her and feeling so badly for her,” another wrote. “What a mess. She – and especially their children! – don’t deserve all of this.” We’d say they’ve probably learned their lesson from this incident, but this is the Duggars we’re talking about – they never learn from anything! Jessa Duggar: Mom-Shamed Over Video of Eldest Son

Just about everything the Duggars do is scrutinized and criticized these days, and most of it is understandable. After all, this is the family that helped hide several incidents of child molestation from authorities, so that the perpetrator, Josh Duggar, wouldn’t face punishment. But there were victims and bystanders in the family as well, and unfortunately, they’re often judged as harshly as the guilty parties. The latest target of anti-Duggar sentiments is mother of two Jessa Duggar. These days, it seems Jessa is shamed for literally everything she does that involves her two sons, Spurgeon and Henry. Jessa has hit back against the mommy-shamers in the past, but the practice of putting her down for her every parenting decision has continued unabated. Much of the criticism has to do with Jessa’s raising of her eldest son, Spurgeon. Many fans have taken it upon themselves to diagnose the child on the basis of the combined two minutes of footage they’ve seen over the past two years. These developmental psychology experts – who are willing to offer professional advice for free, bless their hearts – have decided that Spurgeon’s verbal expression abilities are not what they should be. And the problem, they believe, is that like the other Duggar children, Spurgeon is sheltered and doesn’t spend enough time with children his own age. On top of that, they say, he’s being babied by Jessa and her husband, Ben Seewald, and his progress is being delayed due to lack of mental stimulation. The latest criticism comes as a result of a short video that Jessa posted on Instagram. In the clip below, Spurgeon – who will turn 2 in November – is seen playing with a box of tissues and drinking from a sippy cup. Spurgeon Seewald Plays With Tissues And apparently, that’s enough to drive some fans absolutely nuts. “When r u gonna ween him off the bottle @jessaseewald!? U don’t him to bad teeth from being on the bottle to long? Usually kids r Weened off at 1?” wrote one commenter. “Is he still drinking from a bottle?!” remarked another. Fortunately, there were just as many fans who encouraged Jessa to ignore the haters. “Why does it matter? She’s his mother and she will mother him as she sees fit,” one fan pointed out. Jackson Roloff Turns 4 Months. Now He Can Do THIS!

This is an exciting time to be a member of the Roloff family. On Sunday, Audrey and Jeremy welcomed their first child, a precious girl named Ember Jean . She joins relatively new baby Jackson Kyle as the second grandchild in the Little People, Big World universe, as this adorable young fella was born to Tori and Zach back on May 12. That was four months ago exactly… and Tori has now provided Instagram followers with an update on her son. “And just like that our little man is 4 months old! Lots of milestones this month,” wrote Tori, following up on the same sort of post she penned on Jackson’s three-month birthday . Tori then proceeded to list Jackson’s latest accomplishments, which include the following: Baby J can hold his head up. We can roll over…sometimes. We want to put everything in our mouth. We went on our first airplane ride… to Catalina. We went to Disneyland. We love telling stories. We’re still not sleeping through the night. We weigh almost 16 pounds! And we got to meet our cousin Ember Jean! Tori concluded that “we are already so in love with” with Jeremy and Audrey’s daughter, while adding, of course, that she loves Jackson. And she included the hashtags “#babyjroloff #ZandTPartyofThree” toward the end of her caption. About a month ago, TLC resumed filming on Little People, Big World , with sources confirming Jackson will play a prominent role. Cameras followed around his parents throughout Tori’s pregnancy this spring and they are expected to document Audrey’s path to motherhood in detail this fall/winter. But expect to see plenty of shots of Jackson as well, with Tori and Zach taking him on multiple trips already. As mentioned above, he’s been to Disneyland… and he’s also cheered on the Seattle Seahawks in person… and he’s met his great grandmother and nearly all his other relatives as well. With all due respect to all other babies on the Internet, it would be easy to argue that Jackson is the cutest celebrity baby of them all. Just look at the photos above, readers! Babies are a blessing and we just know these small human beings will be so well loved and cared for. We’re incredibly excited to watch them grow up.

Josh Duggar and Anna Duggar Welcome Baby #5!

The Duggar Family can now count a new precious bundle of joy among its members. It was revealed via the family blog on Tuesday night that Anna Duggar and Josh Duggar have welcomed their fifth child into the world. His name is Mason Garrett… he weighed nine pounds and one ounce at birth… he measured 22 inches in length… and HERE HE IS: “We are so thankful and happy to announce the arrival of our new son, Mason Garrett Duggar. Both he and Anna are doing well,” reads the blog post, continuing as follows: “He arrived today without complication and we already adore him. The entire family is ecstatic over the arrival of another beautiful blessing.  “We want to thank everyone for your prayers, kind words and well wishes. We appreciate it much more than we could ever express. “We pray God blesses each of you with an abundance of the kindness you’ve shown us.” Just as Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have named all their children with “J” monikers, Anna and Josh have chosen an “M” theme for their children. As such, Mason joins older siblings Mackynzie (seven years old), Michael (six years old), Marcus (four years old) and Meredith (two years old). The couple announced in a blog entry on the same Duggar website in March that they were expecting another child this year. This one came as a surprise because… well… Josh has quite the sordid family history. He admitted two years prior to this pregnancy announcement that he had molested two of his sisters, an ugly scandal that his parents helped him cover up. They didn’t report Josh – who was a teenager when his committed these heinous actions – to the authorities, choosing instead to handle the behavior internally. Duggar acknowledged this dark mark in his past upon announcing Anna was expecting once again. He wrote at the time: “For nearly the last two years, we have quietly worked to save our marriage, focus on our children, and rebuild our lives together as a family.” “Doing so is never easy after a breach of trust… We’ve learned that a life of faith and rebuilding a life together is simply done one day at a time.” As recently as last week, it was reported that Josh and Anna remained in marriage counseling . This report alleged that the ex-reality stars are “trying desperately to salvage their troubled relationship,” which was also placed in major danger when Josh confessed to cheating on Anna . Wrote Anna and Josh several months ago: “As we continue our journey as a family and rebuild our lives, we are delighted to share with you that we are expecting a new baby boy later this year.” “Beauty comes from ashes and we cannot wait to see and kiss the face of this sweet new boy!”  In August of 2015, Josh checked into a faith-based rehab facility in Illinois, not long after admitting he was addicted to pornography and had been unfaithful to Anna. He completed this stint in March of last year. Later this month, meanwhile, he and Anna will celebrate their ninth wedding anniversary. As for other members of Josh’s famous family? They’ve been busy procreating and getting married, per usual. Joseph Duggar exchanged vows with Kendra Caldwell this past weekend, while Joy-Anna Duggar announced late last month that she’s pregnant with her first child. Or at least trying to. TLC has gone out of its way to shield him from the public (see above) as though he were some sort of reality TV pariah. He’s back in the fold and back in the news now, however. But for the most positive of reasons, at least. No matter what you think of this man and/or his decisions over the years, there’s now another tiny human being in the picture. Let’s all hope little Mason is raised in a happy, healthy, loving environment, and that his family continues to heal the divisions of the past. We wish him the best. Josh and Anna Duggar: Still in Marriage Counseling, Hanging By a Thread

Josh and Anna Duggar’s marriage is still in deep trouble, according to a new report, as the old wounds from the past have yet to heal. With a new baby on the way soon, a family insider says that they’re putting on a good front, but the cracks in their foundation are evident. The Duggar source says that “they have continued to work through their issues in couples counseling,” though it’s been an uphill battle. While the parents of four (soon to be five) appear outwardly to be “doing okay,” they may be hiding their marital issues from their family. “If there was a problem, we wouldn’t know about it ,” the insider said, adding that this is just what the embattled couple has always done. “They put on a front.” The report claims that the two are “trying desperately to salvage their troubled relationship,” which is holding on by a thread at this point. It’s obvious that the chasm between them was particularly deep, given the extent of what happened. Still, it’s jarring to read this account. The report of marital strife between Josh and Anna follows rumors of their kids moving to the Duggar compound to live with their grandparents. That story, while not independently confirmed, coincides with recent talk that essentially, Jana Duggar is raising Josh’s kids … seriously. Jana, the oldest daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle, is helping out their first-born child so Josh and Anna can try to save their marriage. Supposedly. That’s the word on the street in Tontitown, where Anna also hates Austin Forsyth apparently (follow the link on that side note). Anna famously stood by her husband amid police reports that revealed how he molested five minor females (for sisters) in his youth. Then he was caught cheating on her. After the police reports were published in the media – the legality of which is still being questioned by the Duggars – TLC axed their show. While 19 Kids and Counting was later reborn as Counting On , with a shift in focus to the adult women, Josh has been persona non grata. The molestation of his sisters, while deeply troubling, might have been forgivable had his family not tried to handle it “in house” for years. Moreover, he wasn’t held accountable, all while espousing “family values” and self-righteously condemning those with whom he disagreed. Then, to top it all off, he was busted on the adultery website Ashley Madison, ultimately admitting he was a cheater and a porn addict. He checked into a Christian rehab center soon after. “I have been the biggest hypocrite ever,” he said a statement, admitting that he did all this “While espousing faith and family values.” “I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography … this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife.” “I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living.” “[I’m] grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him.” The couple began marriage counseling when he left treatment in March 2016 “to take important steps toward healing,” they said. “Since the residential treatment program ended, we have been working with a professional marriage and family counselor.” View Slideshow: 13 Reasons Why Anna Duggar Should Leave Josh NOW “It isn’t easy and some days are very difficult. It is a long road to rebuild trust and a truly healthy relationship,” the couple said. “We are very thankful for God’s forgiveness, grace and help, as it is our strength and guide to rebuilding our lives.” “As the future unfolds, we are taking one day at a time and we are grateful for your continued prayers for both of us and our sweet children.” They announced their fifth pregnancy in March 2017, and Michael, Marcus, Mackynzie and Meredith await their newest sibling any day now. While this should be a joyous time for them, it remains to be seen if the embattled couple has truly moved past this – or ever will. While his family continues to shun him and TLC won’t show his face on TV (see below), Anna has made her decision to stay. Joy-Anna Duggar: Fans Are Convinced She Got Pregnant Before Marriage

If you’re a fan of her family, then you’re no doubt aware by now that Joy-Anna Duggar is pregnant with her first child . Of course, everything the Duggars do these days is surrounded by controversy, and Joy-Anna’s pregnancy is no different. And how could a pregnancy announcement from a married woman be controversial, you ask? Well, most of the gossip has to do with the fact that Joy-Anna got pregnant just three months after marrying Austin Forsyth , and some fans believe she looks like she’s further along than that. Given the strict nature of the Duggar courtship rules that forbid premarital sex, if Joy-Anna did get pregnant before her wedding, many of the family’s most pious followers would consider the situation to be downright scandalous. And it’s not just sex that’s off-limits to unmarried Duggars. Any physical contact beyond hand-holding is considered ungodly, and for reasons we don’t quite understand, the strict enforcement of these rules is part of what makes the Duggars so popular. Any indication that the whole “courtship” thing is just a front would leave patriarch Jim Bob with some serious explaining to do. So we get why it’s fun to speculate that Joy-Anna and Austin may have given into the devilry of lust before they walked down the aisle. Unfortunately, the situation has led to some intense scrutiny of Joy-Anna’s body, which is decidedly not cool. “She’s a bigger woman than her sisters,” one fan wrote on Joy-Anna’s Instagram announcement. “She’s thick and she has bigger breasts, and they say bigger women show more. My mom looked like she was having triplets with me, but in fact it was because of the fluid around me when I was a fetus,” she further elaborated. It’s worth pointing out that that’s a comment from a fan who’s defending Joy-Anna by arguing that she’s being honest about her pregnancy timeline. With friends like that, who needs enemies? Look, in all likelihood, if Joy-Anna got pregnant before she got married, we would never find out about. The Duggars control the release of information about their private lives more effectively than any reality TV family, and they would never admit to one of their children getting knocked up out of wedlock. So speclate away, but bear in mind that putting photos of Joy-Anna’s pregnant body under a microscope is cringe-worthy at best, repugnant at worst. Jinger Duggar: Jealous of Joy-Anna’s Baby News?

As we reported earlier this week, Joy-Anna Duggar is pregnant with her first child . Many fans were surprised by the news, not only because Joy-Anna is just 19 and has been married for only three months, but also because the pregnancy represents a significant break from Duggar tradition. Typically, when two Duggar daughters are recently married (which is pretty much always the case these days) the one to wed first is the one to get pregnant first. But Joy-Anna skipped the line, so to speak, announcing her pregnancy despite the fact that Jinger Duggar, who married six months before her, remains childless. There’s been talk that Joy-Anna got pregnant before marriage and that her family moved her wedding up in order to avoid a scandal, but that’s a conversation for another time. Most Duggar fans have been busy wishing Joy-Anna and husband Austin Forsyth all the best as they start their family together. But some have expressed concerns for Jinger. Like all Duggar women, Jinger has spoken excitedly about having children, and most thought she would have made a pregnancy announcement by now. Since the use of birth control is frowned upon in the Duggar clan, many fans are now speculating that Jinger and husband Jeremy Vuolo are having trouble conceiving. “Doubt she’s using BC. My guess is they are trying but might be having issues,” a Duggar fan recently wrote on Facebook. “Statistically 1 to 2 in every 10 women deal with infertility problems.” “There are 9 duggar girls, so at least one of them is bound to struggle and so far the other 3 married ones seem to get pregnant quite easily.”  “I’d feel really bad if they had infertility issues in that family. You know J’chelle [Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar] would think they were cursed by God,” commented another. Many have pointed out that on a recent Counting On after-show, Jim Bob predicted that Joy-Anna would be the next to announce baby news. Even though Jinger has been married much longer, Jim Bob – who typically offers very little in the way of such insight – actually said this. The prescient comment led many to believe that the Duggar family patriarch is aware Jinger is having trouble conceiving. If Jinger is struggling with conception issues, her difficulty is likely only compounded by the fact that it’s all taking place on the public stage. Unfortunately for her, the downside of your parents making a commodity of your private life is that the public’s interest rarely ends when the cameras are turned off. Joy-Anna Duggar Pregnancy: When Is She Due?

Earlier today, we learned the exciting news that Joy-Anna Duggar is pregnant . Joy-Anna married Austin Forsyth in May, which means the couple is moving fast even by the standards of a family that’s mostly famous for breeding. In her official announcement, Joy-Anna didn’t offer any information about how far along she is, but of course, that won’t stop fans from wildly speculating about her due date. People magazine published the above photo of Joy-Anna on their website today, and many have commented that she looks like she’s several months along. Joy-Anna had better get used to the scrutiny, because for reasons that aren’t entirely clear, fans are downright obsessed with what goes on in her uterus. Prior to her wedding, rumors that Joy-Anna was pregnant before marriage cropped up regularly on social media. At this point, we think it’s safe to say no pre-marital hand-holding took place, but if you’re familiar with the Duggar courtship rules , you know what a scandal an out-of-wedlock child would have been. Joy-Anna and Austin honeymooned in Switzerland, and the consensus among fans seems to be that Joy-Anna got pregnant during the trip and is now roughly three months along. As is so often the case with this sort of thing, the Duggars are remaining tight-lipped about the due date. But that doesn’t mean Joy-Anna and Austin aren’t talking to the press at all. The parents-to-be have issued several statements about how happy they are to have a child on the way. They’re just not offering up any info about when the baby might be arriving. “Before we even were married we were praying that God would give us kids and we’re so thankful that he has,” Joy said today. Austin echoed the sentiment, adding: “We’re so happy to announce that we’re pregnant. When we found out we were pregnant we were both extremely happy and felt blessed.” Yes, these two certainly aren’t giving away any clues. Many fans have pointed out that Duggar women typically share pregnancy news at the end of their first trimester, which would mean Joy-Anna is likely due in  February. Joy-Anna Duggar Wedding Invitation: Revealed! (Exclusive)

After months of wedding rumors, Joy-Anna Duggar tied the knot with Austin Forsyth earlier this spring in the couple’s native Arkansas. Despite false reports of a fall wedding (on Joy’s birthday), the Duggars sent out invites to relatives and friends like any family would. Invitations that (obviously) include the date: Why is this invite – sent to The Hollywood Gossip exclusively from a source lucky enough to receive one – significant, you ask? In many ways, really most ways, it’s not at all. We can see the Facebook comments now: “Ooh, A wedding invitation was sent out that included the date and the names of the duo getting hitched. What a BOMBSHELL exclusive, THG!” We concede the point. It is worth noting, however, that this was sent to hundreds of people, each of whom honored a request on the back: Do not post this on social media . If you watch  Counting On  online , you saw Joy-Anna and Austin’s road to the altar culminate in the season premiere early last month. That’s barely two weeks after this wedding. Which means the Duggars either kept TLC in the dark, or the network is equally good at keeping secrets, and either way … it’s impressive. Up until the night Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth married  (and Joseph and Kendra Caldwell got engaged), we were in the dark. So was the rest of the celebrity gossip world. There were the aforementioned reports, complete with a fake registry, suggesting that the two would tie the knot later this year. A week before the wedding took pace, an erroneous report indicated that Joy would become Mrs. Forsyth the previous Friday night. Some critics, including our source (who wishes to remain anonymous), say this is just a classic example of deceit by Jim Bob Duggar. We’re not sure we would go that far. To be sure, Jim Bob knows that the courtships, weddings and pregnancies of his adult daughters are keeping his reality TV empire afloat. (We won’t bother to point out the irony of a show about a deeply patriarchal family being rescued by a generation of young women.) To be sure, JBD will shamelessly attempt to choreograph the release of details (most notably photos and videos) from such milestones.  Still, he’s hardly the first person to use public interest in his family to get paid … nor would he want to sabotage his daughter’s wedding. If you were to give him the benefit of the doubt: Do you really expect him to spread the word publicly, not only impeding efforts to control media coverage but inviting unwanted attention? Controversial as they are, the Duggar family could easily become targets of unwanted paparazzi, even protesters or deranged fans. Not exactly a dream come true for Joy, is it? Some Jim Bob detractors believe he is motivated by riches, fame and public perception more than the religious views he vocally espouses. That very well may be the case. Many of his actions through the years would support that argument … we’re just not sure guarding Joy-Anna’s wedding date qualifies. At the end of the day, we’re just surprised he was able to guard it so successfully, all while mailing invites out like any father of the bride. Perhaps his biggest asset is Northwest Arkansas. Living there, so far from New York or L.A., even such a famously huge family and community can remain relatively tight-knit and private. (At least until 6-7 weeks go by and some lucky invitee finds theirs and tips us off after the fact … and for that, we thank them.) Jessa Duggar on Raising Two Kids: It’s SO Chaotic!

If you watch Counting On online , you know that the Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald are taking her parents’ approach to family planning and seem to be in a race to hit double-digit offspring before they turn 30. Back in February,  Jessa welcomed her second child , a boy named Henry Wilberforce. Henry’s arrival came just 15 months after the birth of Jessa’s first son , Spurgeon. So these days, Jessa and husband Ben Seewald are raising two kids under the age of two – an undertaking that no doubt puts their patience to the test on a daily basis. Jessa isn’t one to complain (We’re pretty sure Duggar women are trained from a young age to keep perma-grins affixed to their faces at all times.), but in a preview for Monday’s episode of Counting On , the 24-year-old confesses that her situation can be trying at times. “I kind of expected it to be a challenge going from one to two kids — I feel like every day is different,” Jessa says in the clip. “Some days it’s very, very simple. Other days, it’s a little more chaotic.” We imagine “a little more chaotic” is Jessa’s euphemistic way of saying there are days when she looks at the pile of dirty diapers and wants to rip her hair out by the roots. Things are a bit less hectic on Ben Seewald’s end, as the Duggars’ have basically added an 11th commandment to their Bible that forbids men from lifting a finger around the house. But being unemployed and under no obligation to assist in the raising of his children didn’t stop Ben from offering his own two cents on life in the Seewald household: “Since Henry’s birth, things have been a little more busy in the Seewald house,” Ben tells producers in the preview. “One adjustment going from one child to two is there are so many diapers and they pile up so fast. We gotta take the trash out a lot more often.” We’re guessing Jessa cracked and let out a terrifying Heath Ledger Joker laugh when she heard Ben complain about taking the trash out more often. If she didn’t, she deserves some sort of prize. Ben should probably go ahead and get a job before Jessa disappears with the kids and goes full Gone Girl on his ass.
