Anna Duggar: Turning to Reality TV to Save Up Money and Divorce Josh Duggar?!

Is Anna Duggar scrambling to bank some quick cash before Josh Duggar gets out of rehab so she can beat a long-overdue retreat from the cult? That’s the subject of a new post on The Stir , which comes on the heels of previous reports that Anna Duggar will file for divorce in the near future. The website cites Anna’s upcoming appearances on TLC’s 19 Kids & Counting spinoff, Jill and Jessa: Counting On , as proof of her big plan. Jill and Jessa’s new show, which is actually a series of three specials, will focus on the married Duggar daughters and what they’re up to lately. It will clearly delve into Josh Duggar and how he left the family in shambles, and some fans were surprised to see that Anna’s playing a part. In a span of just a few months, an exposed police report exposed him as having molested four of his sisters plus a babysitter as a young teenager. Then, he was outed as a cheater in the Ashley Madison hack, and even sued by Danica Dillon for giving the stripper/porn star rough sex PTSD. Yes, the conservative Christian clan’s empire crumbled faster and harder than anyone could’ve imagined, but wife Anna suffered most of all. Previews for Counting On make a big deal out of the fact that Anna breaks her silence on Josh , but it sounds like her motivation is not ratings. According to insiders, he is begging Anna to stay with him when he leaves his Christian labor camp/sex addiction rehab center home in Illinois. Family patriarch Jim Bob Duggar even bought the couple a house and Josh is pushing for a recommitment ceremony. They are lobbying hard. Yet Anna isn’t so sure, and sources close to the mom of four say she’s considering the divorce option closely, bringing us back to Counting On . The 28-year-old reportedly ” agreed to be filmed for financial reasons only,” and “her ultimate goal is to save up enough to make it on her own.” Wow. Is it possible this is all conjecture, and she did it not just for the money but to tell her side of the story, and support her nice sisters-in-law? Of course. The extra cash is nice whether she stays married or not, and Jill and Jessa never did anything to her. In fact, they’re said to be close. Still, you have to wonder if perhaps, just maybe, poor Anna has seen the light and taken the first step toward making a seriously bold-ass move. Jim Bob Duggar: Encouraging Josh with New Blog Post?

Jim Bob Duggar has a message for all his fellow fathers out there, though said message may be targeted toward one struggling dad in particular. Is he sending a thinly-veiled message to Josh Duggar, his first-born son who is currently toiling away in a Christian sex rehab labor camp? No one knows with certainty. But when the patriarch pens an open letter on the family website, urging dads to become the “coach of your home”? It sure as crap reads like that’s his intended audience. Jim Bob begins by encouraging fathers to be “spiritual leaders” by sharing a very personal story of the time his wife, Michelle, suffered a miscarriage. Going through that while she was on birth control, he says, shaped their views on children (and clearly, they take those views seriously). “We had been rejecting His gifts,” Jim Bob wrote . “We prayed and asked God to forgive us and we gave Him this area of our lives.” “We said, ‘Lord, help us to love children the way that you love children,’ and Lord, we want to receive each one as a gift from you.'” Jim Bob says that in order to be a leader, it’s urgent that fathers ask forgiveness from Jesus, their significant other and children. He also suggested that dads remove all “books, magazines, television or Internet that have worldly or sensual content” from the home. It’s not the first time we’ve heard the Duggars hate on worldly or sensual content , nor is it at all surprising that they would do just that. The timing is curious, though, amid conflicting reports regarding the state of Josh’s fractured marriage to the long-suffering Anna Duggar. Having admitted an online porn addiction and being “unfaithful” to Anna earlier this summer, Josh has been on thin ice to say the least. Still, he’s not giving up with out a fight, and some sources say he’s pushing Anna to have another baby to help save the marriage (really). Anna Duggar: Heartbroken Over Josh in New Special On the flip side, others speculate that Anna is finally leaving Josh after porn star Danica Dillon sued him for giving her rough-sex-induced PTSD. Meanwhile, Anna is breaking her silence. “It was heartbreaking to hear, what had happened,” an emotional Anna, 27, said in a promo for TLC’s Jill and Jessa: Counting On released Friday. At this point, it remains unclear exactly what Anna is planning, and even where Josh is. Rumors suggest he may have bailed on rehab months early. A plane carrying Jim Bob and two of his sons was spotted Friday at an airport in Rockford, Ill., near the facility where Josh is (or was) being treated. Insiders say the plane was on the ground for several hours, before taking back off to Springdale, Arkansas, where the Duggar family resides. The plot thickens. Jill Duggar Shares Precious New Videos of Baby Israel

Jill Duggar has gone ahead and shown up sister Jessa Duggar. In the most adorable of ways. Israel is Crawling!!! About a week after Jessa gave birth to her first child, Jill has shared two new videos of her precious little son, Israel. In the first adorable piece of footage, which Jill posted on her family blog, her son is seen crawling on the floor, smiling and kicking his feet while he plays with a marker. No matter what your opinion may be of this family, it cannot be denied: Israel is so gosh darn cute! In the second video, the seven-month old attempts to climb up a chair, while his mother holds on to her little boy. Jill Duggar Posts Cute Baby Video The videos come two days after a sentimental letter Jill wrote to her younger sister Jessa Duggar, following the latter welcoming son Spurgeon Elliot Seewald into the world on November 5. “Derick, Israel and I are so excited for you and Benji!” the reality star wrote. “I can’t believe you have a little one now! It was such a joy to get to be a part of the birth from Central America, thank you. You were a champ! I felt those contractions with you. “I’m so excited to both be on this motherhood journey together!” Jill and Derick are  on a long-term mission trip in Central America, where they’ve been since August. But they’ll make their return to the small screen next month when TLC airs a three-part special tracking the lives of Jessa and Jill in the months since they were outed as child molestation victims of their brother, Josh Duggar . Jessa Duggar Uses Home Remedy to Induce Labor

As she reported to her Instagram followers earlier today,  Jessa Duggar is still pregnant . She’s only one day past her due date, but clearly, Jessa has grown impatient with waiting to welcome #BabySeewald into the world. Over the weekend, Jessa posted the above photo along with a caption explaining why she doesn’t look too thrilled to taking a produce selfie. “So has anyone else tried the ‘eating an entire fresh pineapple’ thing for helping to bring on labor? Apparently it doesn’t work for everyone, ’cause I ate the whole thing yesterday… and still no signs of labor! “(Sure was a tasty pineapple tho!) Guess #BabySeewald still wants to camp out in there a little longer! Patience, Mama, patience.” Fortunately, Jessa didn’t spend the entire weekend gobbling copious quantities of tropical fruit in hopes of inducing labor. She took some time to celebrate her first wedding anniversary with Ben Seewald  and based on her Instagram pics, it seems the very pregnant Jessa marked the occasion by gorging on fries and ice cream. But while the anniversary party was a low-key, laid-back affair, it seems there’s some truth to the rumors that Jessa is anxious about the upcoming birth . Moments ago, Jessa posted on social media, “Wondering if I will have a gigantic child.” She followed it up with this description of her recent activities: “We’ve been taking a poll with the Duggar and Seewald families over the past few weeks, and everyone is trying to guess how much they think #BabySeewald might weigh at birth. “I was the biggest out of all my siblings, weighing 9lbs 15oz– and Ben weighed 8lbs 15oz. Haha! I’d say it’s very possible we could have a chubby little baby!” Well, we won’t know until the big moment arrives, but based on her diet over the past couple days, we’d say there’s very good chance that Jessa will have a large baby! Bill Gothard: Duggar Church Founder Sued For Sexual Abuse

In March of 2014, Institute for Basic Life Principles founder Bill Gothard resigned in disgrace amidst allegations that he had sexually abused dozens of female employees.  Last month, after more than a year away from the public eye, Gothard – who might be best known for his close relationship to the Duggar family – relaunched his website and social media accounts, and was immediately bombarded with accusations of sexual assault . His alleged victims said it was their way of sending Gothard the message that his crimes have not been forgotten, and that they intend to see him in court. Yesterday, five of those women – Gretchen Wilkinson, Charis Barker, Rachel Frost, Rachel Lees and a Jane Doe – made good on that promise by filing a lawsuit against Gothard in which they each seek $50,000 in damages. Obviously, the suit could prove profoundly damaging for Gothard and his ministry, particularly since it may inspire more of his alleged victims (over 30 in total) to take legal action.  It may also have a negative impact on the reputation of Gothard’s most famous followers – the Duggar family. The 80-year-old pastor has been linked to the Duggars for decades and may be responsible for some of their most controversial beliefs and actions. Gothard was involved in “counseling” Josh Duggar  after the Michelle and Jim Bob’s eldest admitted to molesting his sisters. In addition, his IBLP provided the Duggars with homeschooling curricula that teaches children that victims of sexual assault are partially to blame for their attackers’ actions.  While the family is in no way directly linked to the allegations against Gothard, if a court finds that the minister used his power to “cover up sexual abuse and harassment” (as the suit alleges), the Duggars’ already-shrinking fan base may be reminded of the ways in which the 19 Kids and Counting clan did the same. Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar Enter Marriage Counseling

It’s been a tough year for the Duggar family.  Obviously, the various Josh Duggar sex scandals created the biggest headaches, but the past few months have seen the 19 Kids and Counting clan have seen coping with lots of other stumbling blocks and mini-scandals. Just last week, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard refunded donations to fans who became outraged after realizing they helped fund missionary work that never actually happened. (At least when Josh shells out for “missionary work” he gets what he paid for!) Yes, the Duggar situation has gotten so bad that using charitable donations from fans to pay for a vacation is considered a minor scandal. We imagine seeing your kids’ faces accompanied by some lurid headline every time you check out at the grocery store would be a pretty major source of stress for anyone, so we’re not surprised to hear that Michelle and Jim Bob have decided to get away from it all and give their marriage a tune-up. Radar Online is reporting that Michelle and Jim Bob have embarked on a marriage retreat , where they’ll spend time in the woods discussing their relationship along with counselors and several other couples.  The Duggars confirmed the news on there Facebook page today, but did not offer any information regarding when they’ll return from the outing in Ozark National Forest. A website for the pastor who runs the retreat states that he offers “Biblical solutions to critical family problems.” Well, that’s good. Jessa Duggar Slammed For Drinking Coffee, Getting Pedicure While Pregnant

Another day, another Duggar family scandal. This one involves mom-to-be Jessa Duggar who’s set to welcome her first child on November 1 .  The controversy stems from the above photo that Jessa posted to Instagram along with the following caption: “My sweet mother-in-law treated me to a pumpkin spice drink from #MamaCarmens, and Sierra insisted that I get something cheery painted on my toes in prep for labor! Y’all are spoiling me!” Concern-troll fans were quick to pounce, pointing out that there’s a chance Jessa’s chosen methods of getting pampered could prove harmful to her baby . “I heard its not good to wear fingernail polish while being pregnant,” commented one fan. Another took her caution to another level, writing, “Omg! When you paint your nails! You breathe in FUMES!! Those fumes are not good! An some products have them and not all salons check!” Several commenters also lambasted Jessa for drinking coffee, though it’s worth noting that she gave no indication that her “pumpkin spice drink” had caffeine in it. This isn’t the first pregnancy-related controversy that Jessa has endured in recent weeks. Last month, she and husband Ben Seewald were criticized for asking fans for gifts and donations in advance of the arrival of their baby. The requests have since been removed from several websites. Josh Duggar Molestation Scandal: Headed to Law & Order SVU

If you’re a fan of the insanely long-running Law & Order franchise, you know that producers like to explore recent scandals in topical “ripped from the headlines” episodes. So we suppose it was only a matter of time before the Josh Duggar molestation scandal  made its way into the writers’ room. In an episode set to air next month, the detectives of SVU will investigate the parents of a religiously conservative reality TV family – after their 13-year-old daughter winds up pregnant. While the show never goes easy on its “especially heinous” criminals, if comments made by series regular Peter Scanavino are any indication, the Duggars will be portrayed in a particularly harsh light: “With the Duggar one, it was like the double-whammy because it was his sisters and the fact — I mean, honestly, I feel like we’re dealing with some topics this season that feel a bit meatier than some lunatic fringe family,” Scanavino said in a recent interview. “I have never been so infuriated with someone’s level of hypocrisy, and lying, and then displacement of responsibility onto something else…When I think about that guy, it boils my blood, I will say.” Hopefully Josh’s rehab facility doesn’t have TV. Michelle Duggar Shades Anna in Marriage Advice Column: ALWAYS Meet Your Man’s Needs!

Michelle Duggar’s new “Marriage Advice For Newlyweds” blog post doesn’t call out Anna Duggar by name, but man alive, does it read like a cheap shot. In the post, which she penned Friday, Duggar matriarch Michelle urges newlywed and even pregnant wives to satisfy their man’s needs , ALL the time. Sharing advice a friend once gave her about marriage, she writes: “Anyone can iron Jim Bob’s shirt … he can get his lunch somewhere else.” “But you are the only one who can meet that special need that he has in his life for intimacy. You’re it. You’re the only one. So don’t forget that.” “He needs you. So when you are exhausted at the end of the day, and you fall into bed so exhausted at night, don’t forget about him.” “Because you and he are the only ones who can have that time together,” she urges. “No one else in the world can meet that need.” Michelle notes that pregnancy does NOT exempt a wife from this, and that you had better not just go through the motions, either: “Be available, and not just available, but be joyfully available for him. Smile and be willing to say, ‘Yes, sweetie I am here for you.’ No matter what.” “Even though you may be exhausted, big and pregnant and you may not feel like he feels. ‘I’m still here for you and I’m going to meet that need.'” “‘Because I know it’s a need for you.'” View Slideshow: Duggar Family Marriage Tips In fairness to Michelle, she goes on to say that by doing this for your husband, “he’ll lay down his life” for you and meet your “needs” 24/7 as well. Whether that’s true or not, who knows, and clearly her views on gender roles are extremely dated, but she does (somehow) see it as a two-way street. She also urges, separately, for couples to actively seek marriage counseling if they have problems and do handle their issues privately. Sage advice. Still, the fact that she doled out that bit of sex advice on the heels of Josh Duggar’s sex scandal is amazing, and brazenly insensitive … at best. Does Michelle believe, as the Duggar family pastor does, that Anna is to blame for Josh cheating on her by not “taking care of” his needs in bed? Was Michelle’s commentary a thinly-veiled dig at her daughter-in-law for not living up to her end of the bargain? Or was Anna not even on her mind? That we’ll never know. But reading this after porn addict Josh cheated on her with Danica Dillon , a second porn star and who knows who else he met on Ashley Madison?! You have to wonder what she’s implying, and you have to hope that Anna Duggar leaves Josh if this is the kind of “wisdom” his family still espouses.
