Josh Duggar: His Family Will Never Trust Him Again, Source Says

Last week, we learned that despite reports that he fled his treatment facility when the going got tough, Josh Duggar is still in rehab for his supposed sex and pornography addictions. We know that Anna Duggar will not divorce Josh under any circumstances, and that the rest of his family is doing all that they can to help him overcome what they feel is a serious mental illness. Jessa Duggar recently hinted that she forgives Josh in social media post, but that doesn’t mean the rest of the family is finding it quite so easy to move on from his many indiscretions. An unidentified Duggar spoke to Entertainment Tonight recently, and he or she says Josh has a long road ahead of him before he can be welcomed back into the fold.  “It is going to take a long time before we forgive,” the anonymous family member told ET. “In the long term, eventually, we will forgive — it will be in our best interest to forgive. Won’t happen soon. Won’t happen fast. “Just because we forgive doesn’t mean we trust ever again. We are still extremely upset. We are all still hurt. Josh is still in rehab, nobody is warm and fuzzy to him yet. It still feels like he is a stranger.”  Yes, it sounds as though it may be quite some time before Josh’s family will be ready to look past his long history of sexual misconduct and see him as a brother or son once again. Jinger Duggar and Lawson Bates: Courting?!

Are TV’s two most famous conservative Christian families about to be united in matrimony and shared hopes for a lucrative spinoff? It certainly looks that way, as fans are buzzing about rumors that Jinger Duggar is courting Bringing Up Bates star Lawson Bates. The chatter about a possible Lawson/Jinger courtship – which follows reports that Jana Duggar shot down Zach Bates – began earlier this month. Fans realized that the 23-year-old aspiring singer was in attendance at Amy Duggar and Dillon King’s wedding that took place Labor Day weekend. Jinger and Lawson didn’t engage in any sort of lusty devilry, such as hand holding or dancing, but photos from the wedding show them awkwardly standing in relatively close proximity to one another. In Duggar Land, that means more than it otherwise would … they might as well be picking out wedding venues and baby names at this point. The photos have prompted a good deal of speculation from Duggar fans, many of whom have commented on the family’s Facebook page: “Lawson and Jinger make a good looking couple!” commented one fan. “Is [there] something we should know about Lawson and Jinger?!!! They would make a perfect couple!!!” wrote another. “Yes, I see Lawson in the pic standing beside Jinger. I really think they are a couple now or getting to know each other,” added yet another. The Duggars have yet to respond to fan queries, and their silence may speak volumes. For all the online chatter, however, most telling comment comes from an interview that Lawson’s sister Erin Bates gave during in interview back in February: “I personally think, hey you have 19 kids on each side, I think it’s almost inevitable somewhere down the line,” Erin said. “As much as we see each other, I think there’s going to be an attraction somewhere. I don’t know where yet, but I think it’s gonna happen.” Granted that was before the Josh Duggar sex scandal cost the Duggars their show and reputation, but as devoutly religious young folks with 18 siblings each, we’re guessing they still found it pretty easy to hit it off.

Bill Gothard: Duggar Family’s Minister Bombarded With Sexual Assault Accusations on Facebook

Last year, Institute for Basic Life Principles founder and CEO Bill Gothard resigned in disgrace after 34 young women accused him of various forms of sexual misconduct. Today, Gothard is best known as the former minister for the Duggar family  who outlined Jim Bob and Michelle’s controversial beliefs regarding sex and relationships. When Josh Duggar was sent for “counseling” after confessing to molesting five young girls , it was Gothard and the IBLP who helped conceal his crimes from the authorities and attempted to “cure” him through highly unconventional methods. For some reason, Gothard thought today would be a good day to break his silence after over a year in hiding. He was wrong: “I am so thankful for the outpouring of thoughtfulness and support during the last 18 months as I have faced the greatest trials of my life,” Gothard wrote on Facebook. God has been so faithful and even in discipline has stood with me and encouraged me like never before. “Through all of this He has given me treasures and insights I could never have imagined. It is my earnest desire that I will be able to see His blessing ministered into the lives of each of you with the time and strength He continues to give me.” Gothard’s Facebook followers, many of whom were personally victimized by the former preacher, were apparently forgiving mood. Some highlights: “Until you apologize publicly for molesting minors and turn over the money you stole from us, you are still nothing more than a common criminal.” “When you meet our Lord he will cast you down to hell for the many sins you’ve committed.” “You disgusting pervert for raping so many women. You will burn in Hell.” “You’re an evil man who has raped women and never apologized for it. By the metrics of your own faith you will not go to heaven. Hope you’re okay with that!” “I was only 17 when you were 60. You were molesting my girlfriend while listening to me confess my intimate girlish thoughts. You took advantage of me.” A statement from the IBLP reminded Facebook users that Gothard is still barred from any involvement with the organization. Those who have watched the thread closely claim that more than 200 comments have already been deleted from Gothard’s status update. Cousin Amy Duggar is a certified badass by her family standards. She kisses and hugs before marriage. She enjoys music and dancing. She is more or less open minded about people basic things in the world. Basically, by regular person standards, she is relatively modest. But by Duggar standards? My goodness what a wild child. Derick Dillard Tweets Bible Verse Amid Duggar Family Scandal

In the wake of Josh Duggar’s sex scandal, Josh and Jill Dillard are turning to God and prayer.  Surprise!  Or not. Josh’s sister and brother-in-law claim they are trying to grapple with the family’s fall from grace, and Derick turned to Twitter to “talk” about it. On Tuesday, Derick tweeted a Bible verse about honoring God: “In the fear of the Lord one has strong confidence, and his children will have a refuge.” The family is (in)famous for their religious convictions. Currently, Josh is in a faith-based rehab center for a porn addiction and what is likely a sex addiction. However, many believe Josh’s rehab stint is a scam for the sake of rebuilding the family’s reputation. Josh was busted on Ashley Madison after hackers released the names of 25 million users on the affair-seeking site. This revelation came shortly after Josh admitted to molesting five underage girls, including two of his sisters. In a blog post earlier this month, Jill wrote, “Please do pray for our family. Amy Duggar Talks "Emotional" Reunion With Anna Duggar at Wedding

Over the weekend, Amy Duggar married Dillon King in a wedding attended by 18 of her 19 famous cousins. Yes, Josh Duggar was nowhere to be found, as he’s either seeking treatment for sex addiction , or simply hiding out from the press. Regardless of Josh’s whereabouts, however, his wife Anna was in attendance with the couple’s four children, and Amy offered her full support.  “I gave her the biggest hug ever when I first saw her,” Amy tells People magazine. “That’s when I got the most emotional. I can’t imagine what she’s been through. I would be a disaster.”  Though it was obviously Amy’s special day, the bride went out of her way to make Anna feel special. “I felt like Anna needed to be pampered so I got her a mani-pedi certificate to a nail salon,” Amy says. “I feel like she needs that.”  The 28-year-old newlywed says she was overwhelmed when she realized that (almost) the entire Duggar clan would be in attendance, despite the scandals they’ve endured in recent months. “They’ve been through so much and it means the world to me that they want to come to my wedding even though their whole world is turned upside down right now,” Amy says. Miley Cyrus Goes Undercover, Asks People About Miley Cyrus

We're accustomed to seeing Miley Cyrus dressed down, wearing very few layers of clothing . But the superstar got dressed up while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live Wednesday night, going undercover as a reporter named “Janet” and hosting a segment titled “I Witness News.” Rocking a gray suit, a brown wig, glasses and pearls for the skit, Cyrus stopped pedestrians on the street in Los Angeles and asked how they felt… about Miley Cyrus! “She’s not one of my favorites,” replied one man, adding that Miley seems “starved for attention.” Another chimed in by saying he likes ” Taylor Swift better.” HA! Check out the entire segment here and give Cyrus a hand. Not many celebrities would be willing to have this kind of fun with their own reputation.

Anna Duggar: "Fully, Permanently Committed" to Josh Duggar Despite Cheating, Lies

For better or worse, Anna Duggar looks to be sticking by her cheating, lying, hypocritical nightmare of a husband Josh Duggar, according to family insiders. Josh’s history of child molestation (of his own sisters) came to light earlier this year, torpedoing the family’s popular reality series 19 Kids and Counting . Anna stuck by him through that public relations mess, with the parents of three (now for) saying she knew of this and forgiven him for it long ago. Things have just gotten much, much worse, however. In the wake of recent revelations that Josh lived a “double life” and has been “unfaithful” to his wife, many critics have been urging Anna to run. Even her own family is echoing calls for an exodus. Earlier this week, Anna’s brother slammed Josh Duggar in the comments of his sister Jessa’s Facebook page, calling him out in epic fashion. Anna’s sister Susanna Keller , who was previously blackballed by the hypocritical Duggars for having a child out of wedlock, followed suit. Both of her siblings did not mince words when it came to Anna’s future, saying they would love to see her move out and move on from him. Family sources quoted by People sadly concur. “She is fully and permanently committed to her marriage and her children,” an insider said. “Divorce is not even something that will be discussed.” Another source said Anna “doesn’t get mad” at her spouse, because it goes against her religious belief that a wife should submit to her husband. If you just felt the urge to hurl, you are not alone. “You are not allowed to get mad,” the source said, in what may be the most ridiculous excuse for “faith” of all time. “It’s not godly for a woman.” Anna, for her part, hasn’t addressed the scandal, and it’s not likely she will, especially with Josh Duggar in rehab working on his “issues” now. Derick Dillard: Sending Josh Duggar a Message Online?

It’s been four days since Josh Duggar admitted to cheating on his wife  with the help of a number of online dating and social media profiles, and we’re still not quite sure how the rest of the family feels about his latest scandal. Jessa Duggar posted a Bible passage about the power of forgiveness, and though her siblings have yet to speak on the matter publicly, we’re guessing most of them share her view that Josh should be forgiven and the matter should be forgotten. Josh’s in-laws, however, might not necessarily share that view. First, Daniel Keller – the brother of Josh’s wife Anna – slammed Josh on Facebook and made it clear that he refuses to go along with the Duggar’s PR strategy. Now, Derick Dillard – the wife of Josh’s sister Jill – is sending Josh a much more subtle but equally potent message via social media. In his first post since the news of Josh’s infidelity went public, Derick promoted the Rev. Ronnie Floyd’s series of sermon’s about sex in modern society. In Sunday’s installment, Floyd controversially suggested that Anna is partially to blame for Josh’s cheating , but Derick promoted the sermon before he knew what the content would consist of. In previous sermons, Floyd has denounced adulterers as the worst kind of sinners, and many believe Derick was encouraging Josh to focus on that message.
