Bill Gothard: Duggar Family’s Minister Bombarded With Sexual Assault Accusations on Facebook

Last year, Institute for Basic Life Principles founder and CEO Bill Gothard resigned in disgrace after 34 young women accused him of various forms of sexual misconduct. Today, Gothard is best known as the former minister for the Duggar family  who outlined Jim Bob and Michelle’s controversial beliefs regarding sex and relationships. When Josh Duggar was sent for “counseling” after confessing to molesting five young girls , it was Gothard and the IBLP who helped conceal his crimes from the authorities and attempted to “cure” him through highly unconventional methods. For some reason, Gothard thought today would be a good day to break his silence after over a year in hiding. He was wrong: “I am so thankful for the outpouring of thoughtfulness and support during the last 18 months as I have faced the greatest trials of my life,” Gothard wrote on Facebook. God has been so faithful and even in discipline has stood with me and encouraged me like never before. “Through all of this He has given me treasures and insights I could never have imagined. It is my earnest desire that I will be able to see His blessing ministered into the lives of each of you with the time and strength He continues to give me.” Gothard’s Facebook followers, many of whom were personally victimized by the former preacher, were apparently forgiving mood. Some highlights: “Until you apologize publicly for molesting minors and turn over the money you stole from us, you are still nothing more than a common criminal.” “When you meet our Lord he will cast you down to hell for the many sins you’ve committed.” “You disgusting pervert for raping so many women. You will burn in Hell.” “You’re an evil man who has raped women and never apologized for it. By the metrics of your own faith you will not go to heaven. Hope you’re okay with that!” “I was only 17 when you were 60. You were molesting my girlfriend while listening to me confess my intimate girlish thoughts. You took advantage of me.” A statement from the IBLP reminded Facebook users that Gothard is still barred from any involvement with the organization. Those who have watched the thread closely claim that more than 200 comments have already been deleted from Gothard’s status update. Valeria Lukyanova: Embarking on New DJ Career!

Human Barbie Valeria Lukyanova is embarking on a new career … as a DJ! She announced as much in a press release on her official site. The controversial model, who aims to subsist on air and light instead of food, has baffled the Internet with her eye-popping proportions. Not to mention her quotes. H-Barb also claimed she was sent to Earth by a spiritual leader called Amatue (we could not make that up). Now Valeria (her “Earthly name” apparently), has her eye on bigger, better things as she kicks off her Space Barbie Tour in October. “Valeria Lukyanova (Human Barbie) starts her DJ mission with futuristic deep house and space disco,” the press release reads. Why should you attend? Because “she delivers pure deep meditation during her set with amazing sounds and mudras show.” She performs in “a way that touches all the energy centers” to increase “the rhythm and [change] the consciousness of the audience.” Her show “will resemble a fascinating musical journey into the deep space.” Sounds even weirder than these Valeria Lukyanova photos . But tight. The Human Barbie tour will involve stops in Latin America, the U.S., Japan, China, Australia, and several European countries. Nicole Arbour Fired from Movie Due to "Cruel Fat-Shaming Video"

You know what they say about Karma, right? YouTube star Nicole Arbour came under major fire last week for posting a video that called out fat people , saying in the footage that body shaming does not exist and that obese individuals should just shut up and work out. The video was removed by YouTube for a brief period of time before being reinstated. Many (including THG) were appalled by Arbour’s comments, but believed she should be permitted to make then. Freedom of speech and all. But what goes around often comes around… and director Pat Mills says he’s dropped Arbour as a choreographer from his upcoming movie due to her controversial viewpoint. “She seemed like a perfect fit for the project. I shared the script with her,” Mills tells Zap2It . “She said she dug it and was excited to come on board…and then a crazy thing happened on Saturday – I saw something on the Internet that made me never want to see her again.” The film, titled “Don’t Talk to Irene,” centers on 16-year old who dreams of being a cheerleader but who is bullied for being fat. So, yeah. It’s not hard to see why Arbour didn’t make sense for the project. “I’m gay, I was bullied a lot as a kid,” Mills adds. “I’m no stranger to ridicule and loneliness. [Her video] is an unfunny and cruel fat-shaming video that guises itself about being about ‘health.’ It’s fat phobic and awful…I was so upset I was shaking.” That pretty much says it all, doesn’t it? Josh Duggar: Rehab Center Exposed as Scam?

While we don’t officially know Josh Duggar’s whereabouts , the leading theory is that he’s undergoing a six-month treatment program at the Reformer’s Unanimous rehab center in Illinois. As for the reports that Josh has gone missing from the center, many fans believe that was simply an attempt by the Duggars’ reps to keep the media focus off of the facility in Rockford, IL for fear of distracting Josh – or exposing some of RU’s more bizarre practices. We’ve already detailed the extreme method of “treatment” the Duggars have chosen for Josh , but now, sources familiar with RU are saying that Josh won’t receive any proper counseling or therapy, as the center exists only to make money for the Institute in Basic Life Principles, and its disgraced founder, Bill Gothard. The Duggars were devoted followers of Gothard’s and based their homeschool teachings on materials provided by the IBLP. When Josh was sent to counseling after admitting to molesting his sisters, his parents entrusted him to the IBLP. Clearly, the treatment wasn’t terribly effective, and Gothard resigned shortly thereafter, following a scandal in which he was accused of groping and sexually his female employees. Now, Josh is receiving a more intense version of the same treatment, and it’s no more likely to deter him from engaging in deviant behavior the second time around. “There’s no medical license, and it’s not even clear what Josh is doing there,” a source familiar with the facility tells Radar Online. “It’s really just another way for the church to make money.” Fortunately for the folks at the IBLP, the Duggars have plenty of money – and if they stick with their current methods, Josh will need a lot of treatment.
