Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar: Blaming Anna For Josh’s Cheating?!

Shortly after the world learned that Josh Duggar molested five young girls when he was in his teens, the Duggars were beset by yet another scandal involving their eldest son’s sexual impropriety. When the infidelity-facilitating website Ashley Madison was hacked in August of 2015, Josh was revealed to be its most high-profile client. We still don’t know if Josh succeeded in his efforts to cheat on his wife, Anna, but we do know what his intentions were. In the wake of Josh’s second scandal, the Duggars went into damage control mode. Josh was sent to rehab to undergo a “faith-based” course of treatment for his sex addiction, and when he returned home six months later, his family basically kept him hidden from sight. So it would appear that though he avoided jail time for his adolescent sex crimes, Josh learned a hard lesson about fidelity after getting caught cheating on his wife. But as we’ve seen before, the Duggars are in object lesson in the many ways in which appearances can be deceiving. Less than two years after Josh checked into rehab, everything in his life has basically returned to normal. Josh and Anna are expecting their fifth kid ; the rest of the Duggars are back on TV; and while his career as a lobbyist/reality TV star may have come to an end, Josh is reportedly making a fine living for himself as the proprietor of several used car dealerships. Needless to say, fans are growing concerned that any lessons learned might now be forgotten. And their worst fears seem to have been confirmed by recent comments from Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar regarding their views on infidelity. The couple frequently speaks at marriage retreats and in a video uploaded yesterday, Colorado-based pastor Kenny Batson recalled an encounter with Jim Bob and Michelle at such an event. Addressing his congregation, Batson recollected: “ At the marriage retreat — Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar helped us do it, and at the end of it, they were getting ready to go home, and Jim Bob caught me out in the hall and says, ‘You know what,’ he says, ‘I have to go back in here and do a little more teaching.’” “What they talked about was this matter right here. Intimacy in marriage. And Michelle said something that I’d never thought, I mean I knew of it but I never thought like she put it. “She said ‘Ladies, your husband can get his laundry done by other women, he can have his meal cooked by other women, he can have all kinds of things done for him by other women, but there’s only one woman who can meet that strong need he has that God put in him, and its you. Only you, lady .’” In the past, the Duggars have been accused of blaming Anna for Josh’s infidelity, and many fans see these latest comments as Michelle’s way of doubling down on those views. Michelle seems to be implying that Josh was simply acting on the “strong need that God put in him” and that Anna wasn’t satisfying his needs in the bedroom. Batson puts an even finer point on it, summing up Michelle’s comments thusly: “It is one of the greatest sins of women today, is a self-centered narcissistic view of how they are to have control of their bodies. The Bible says your body is not your own, sister. It is your husband’s.” They may have figured out a way to present themselves to 21st century television audiences in an inoffensive fashion, but the Duggars views on marriage and a woman’s place in the world remain deeply problematic. The Josh sex scandals briefly brought those views to the surface, and fans were justifiably outraged. But like Jim Bob and Michelle, the Duggars’ most loyal viewers proved very eager to forget. Austin Forsyth: Joy-Anna’s Fiance, Family Even More Strict Than the Duggars?

If you’re a card-carrying member of Duggar Nation, you know that Joy-Anna just got engaged to Austin Forsyth after a whirlwind courtship. And we mean whirlwind. Even by Duggar standards, Joy-Anna and Austin are moving this courtship thing along at a breakneck pace. Those who watch Counting On online were introduced by the 19-year-old Joy-Anna to boyfriend “Austin” on the season finale last fall. Incredibly, as more information about the Forsyth family comes to light, it appears that they may be even more strict than the Duggars. His family runs the Fort Rock Family Camp in Arkansas, and has been acquainted with the Duggars and their church for many years. (This appears to be a familiar pattern; As with  Joseph Duggar courting Kendra Caldwell , her family attends the family’s church as well.) “We are extremely happy to announce the courtship of our son, Austin,” parents Terry and Roxanne wrote on their Christian retreat’s page.  “He and Joy have honored the Lord and will be a great testimony for his goodness and provision for a spouse. Congratulations to Austin & Joy!”  After almost 15 years of friendship, it appears that Joy-Anna Duggar has already become a part of Austin’s family, or close to it. A quick look at the retreat’s site shows Joy-Anna posing next to Austin, now believed to be 22, and his family in a “camp staff” photo. Joy’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, are well aware of this, of course; They frequent the Forsyth’s family camp in St. Paul, Arkansas. The Duggars last visited in October, speaking at the 5th annual fall marriage retreat (yes, Jim Bob and Michelle offer marriage advice ). “We’re so thankful for Austin,” Michelle gushed of her daughter’s new beau last fall. “He is a great guy and we’re excited about the future.” Not only are the Forsyths’ members of the Duggars’ inner circle, they’re not new to the whole reality TV scene themselves. It’s this fact that has some fans worried about Joy-Anna. In 2009, when he was 15, he starred alongside his parents and sister Meagan on Season 1 of CMT’s  World’s Strictest Parents . No, we did not invent the existence of that show, as much as you might think so. It was actually a thing and they were on it. The series, which was what it sounds like, united troubled teens with strict parents in hopes of helping them turn over a new leaf. Whether it achieved that goal or not, it certainly gave viewers some insight into Austin’s family and their extremely rigid belief system. The Forsyths place a heavy emphasis on modesty, homeschooling and staying “pure” until marriage, which likely sounds pretty familiar. Not unlike the Duggars, that includes saving your first kiss for your wedding day (suffice it to say, premarital sex is out of the question ). In one particular scene, it was revealed to viewers that during a Sunday school lesson, the Forsyth’s guests were taught about dating. Specifically, the dangers of dating, which “leads to divorce.” To our knowledge, the Duggars have never used wording that strong. However, we all know how seriously regimented they are, and how courtship has been called “dating with a purpose” or a pre-engagement. In any event, it’s no wonder that we’ve heard talk of Joy-Anna’s courtship rules being the strictest ever enforced by the famous family. Critics will likely talk about how unhealthy this all is. Maybe they’re right, or maybe it’s exactly what these two young people want and love. All we can tell you is that they look happy as a pair of human beings can be, and that by all accounts that matter, it’s a match made in …  … somewhere in Northwest Arkansas, nestled among the Ozarks. View Slideshow: 13 Disturbing Things BANNED By the Duggar Family God’s Country in more ways than one. Even a little slice of heaven. At least if you can describe a pair of repressed, sheltered, virginal 20-somethings running around in layer upon layer of denim as heaven. If anyone can, it would be Joy-Anna and Austin, and we are so excited for them as long as they’re happy in taking this next big step. Ditto Joseph and Kendra, whose romance was announced today. We just hope that they’re doing it for the right reasons, and chart their own course in life, rather than living wholly in their families’ shadows. Having core beliefs and values and sticking by them is good, but so is getting out there and trying new things. Just some food for thought. View Slideshow: Duggar Family Photos: Then & Now!

Jessa Duggar Opens Up on "Mixed Emotions" Over Jinger’s Wedding

It’s been an eventful year in the lives of the Duggars – but we guess in a family of 21, every year is eventful. 2016 concluded with Jinger Duggar getting married , and despite the fact that there have been two births, a health scare, and about a dozen mini-scandals in the months since, Counting On producers are still painstakingly rehashing every detail of Jinger’s wedding. Even though the focus on Jinger’s nuptials appears to have contributed to a plunge in Counting On’s ratings , it seems the show won’t be changing course any time soon. Watch Counting On Season 2 Episode 19 Online On last night’s episode , we finally got to see Jinger’s wedding in its entirety, and the feeling on social media was that fans found the whole thing a bit anti-climactic. (It’s hard to blame them, considering just about every detail of the ceremony was revealed several months ago when it took place.) However, while the episode didn’t offer much in the way of surprises, there were still some touching moments, such as when Jessa Duggar paid tribute to her newlywed younger sister:  Jessa began by revealing that she was “probably not the best influence” growing up (It’s anyone’s guess as to what constitutes mischief in the Duggar compound. Failure to properly memorize a psalm?), and says later in life it was Jinger who influenced her : “But once you started to get a little bit older you encouraged me to do the right thing,” Jessa said. “Even though you’re younger than me,” she added, “I’ve always thought of you as one of my greatest role models.” While most of the tears were the result of profound joy, Jessa admitted to struggling with mixed emotions as a result of her sister’s plans to relocate from Arkansas to Laredo, Texas. “I think it’s starting to sink in more and more how much we’re going to miss Jinger when she moves away,” the teary-eyed mother of two remarked at one point. “I don’t think we fully calculated all the ramifications of how it was going to play out that you were going take her 12 hours away from us.” For as much as she anticipated becoming a Vuolo, Jinger seemed to struggle with the reality of leaving home for the first time as well. “Give us a couple months, and then come visit us,” Jinger told her sister, as she began to tear up herself. Sounds like some difficult times lie ahead for the Duggars. But on the bright side, at leas fans can finally look forward to a new storyline! Amy Duggar: Did She Lie About Being Abused?!

Oh, that poor Amy Duggar … girl absolutely cannot seem to catch a break. It all started when she was, you know, born into the Duggar family. She’s not one of Jim Bob and Michelle’s spawn, but as we’ve been learning, she may have been better off if she was one of those 19 Kids and Counting. And that’s because, according to multiple claims Amy has made during her time on Marriage Boot Camp, she had a truly terrible childhood. She’s told stories about how her parents used to fight so much that she’d spend all her time outside , just so she wouldn’t have to hear them screaming at each other. She’s said that her mother used to leave suicide notes around the house for her to find, and that her father would tell her that she was a mistake. In the latest heartbreaking clip, Amy said that her father once grabbed her by the throat and lifted her up to the ceiling, all because he didn’t believe her when she told him she brushed her teeth. Amy Duggar Reveals The Family Member Who Abused Her: Watch! She even said he tried to run her over with a car on one occasion. It all sounds so unbelievably awful, right? You’d think it couldn’t get much worse than that. But now, in yet another example of Amy’s family being the worst, her own grandmother is speaking to the press about Amy’s claims. Specifically, she’s calling Amy a liar . The grandmother in question is Lenora Jordan, her father’s mother. (Amy is related to the Duggars through her mother, who is Jim Bob’s sister.) Lenora took the time to speak with Radar about Amy and all the horrific stories of abuse, and she simply said “None of that stuff is true.” Solid argument, Grandma. “Amy just felt like she needed to be on that show, and needed something to tell,” Lenora insisted. It’s such a sad turn of events, isn’t it? First Amy had to suffer through her childhood, and now she has to deal with her grandmother publicly dismissing her like this. It’s interesting, too, because while of course we can’t really definitively prove Amy’s stories, there’s quite a bit of evidence that she is telling the truth. The therapists on Marriage Boot Camp don’t have a problem believing Amy, and we know they don’t have problems with calling people out on any suspected nonsense. And another little fact is that back in 1992, Amy’s mother filed a restraining order against her then-husband — Amy’s father — because, as she said, he’d threatened to kill both her and “the baby.” The baby, most likely, being little Amy. Here’s hoping that Amy doesn’t take her grandmother’s words to heart, and that she continues to heal from all that unbelievable badness her family has put her through. George Lopez to Audience Member: Get the Eff Out!

George Lopez wants everyone who comes to see him perform in person to have a good time. Like, he REALLY wants them to have a good time. In video of the comedian that was posted this week on TMZ, we see Lopez turn quickly on an audience member who doesn’t respond very positively to a joke he just told. “There are only 2 rules in the Latino family: don't marry somebody black and don't park in front of our house,” Lopez cracks to the crowd, prompting mostly laughter from those in attendance. But one woman sitting pretty close to the stage actually raises her middle finger and points it in Lopez's direction. Instead of ignoring the woman and moving on, Lopez does the exact opposite. “Sit your f-cking ass down… I'm talking bitch,” he says in the footage below, continuing: “You paid to see a show, sit your ass down. You can't take a joke you're in the wrong motherf-king place. Sit your ass down or get the f-k out of here.” Lopez then makes the decision for her. “I tell you what, I'll make the choice for you. Get the f-ck out of here,” he says, as the woman is seen being escorted from her table. “Four seats just opened up front.” Did the comedian go too far? Or was the last asking for it based on her flipping Lopez the bird? WATCH AND DECIDE FOR YOURSELF:

Jessa Duggar: See Her New Baby’s Video Debut!!!

Say what you will about the Duggars, but they sure do make some sweet babies. And we know that because Jessa Duggar just gave birth to her second baby , a precious little boy, two days ago, and we've already got an official video of the little guy from TLC! How do these people have time for things like this? Jessa has a one-year-old and a newborn, how is she functioning this well? How is she at home and looking this good so soon after having this baby? Jessa Duggar: Jinger Broke the Courtship Rules!

Now that Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo are married , Duggar rules say they’re free to do whatever they want with each other (so long as it’s done in the name of procreation).  But recent episodes of the Duggar’s reality series have taken place before the wedding, and we’re beginning to learn a bit more about the weeks leading up to the nuptials. In the past, there’s been controversy over Jinger and Jeremy violating “courtship rules” prior to their marriage. At the time, the talk was largely dismissed as tabloid chatter, but now we know that the Duggars themselves spent some time talking about Jinge and Jer getting a little too handsy. On last night’s episode of Counting On , Jessa Duggar commented on Jinger and Jeremy’s “affectionate” behavior in a way that smacks of  “Jinger and Jeremy are much more ‘huggy’ and affectionate, but to each their own.” “To each their own,” says a woman who believes that everyone reading this is going to hell for like 87 million different reasons. This is like when someone says, “I don’t mean to be offensive, but…” and then says something completely offensive. You can’t just tack a half-assed dismissal onto the end of sentence to negate the passive-aggressive smack talk that came before it. If Jessa really didn’t care about Jinger and Jeremy’s “huggy” ways, she just wouldn’t have commented at all. Also, “to each their own”? Is Jessa super woke in terms of her gender-neutral pronoun usage, or did she just skip homeschool that day they learned about grammar? We’re leaning toward the latter, but hey – to each her own. Look, obviously we could care less if Jinger and Jeremy swapped partners at a 70s-style key party before they got married. We’re just calling out the Duggars for some of their most blatant hypocrisy to date. This is the same family whose repressive approach to sex ed gave the world Josh Duggar. Now that Jinger has been caught violating the rules they’ve been drumming into their kids’ heads since they were born, it’s all good because the guy is a preacher and his name starts with “J”? Not hard to see why Jessa is a little salty about the situation. You would be too if your first kiss was on your wedding night because your parents are insane, but they let your sister off the leash because they like her boyfriend more. Jessa Duggar: Baby #2 Is on the Way!

For reasons that we’re not completely clear on, there’s been a wealth of speculation surrounding  Jessa Duggar’s second pregnancy . And we don’t mean “boy or girl? What will she name it?” speculation. We mean “rumors that  Jessa’s due date is a lie designed to manipulate fans and boost ratings” speculation. Perhaps having caught wind of this latest weirdness, the Duggars posted a brief pregnancy update on their official blog today. Beneath side-by-side photos of Jessa’s fist and second pregnancies, the Duggars had this to say: (Warning: Possible spoilers for Counting On Season 4 beyond this point.) ” The photo on the left shows Jessa in October 2015 when she was 36 weeks pregnant with Spurgeon Seewald, and the picture on the right is how she looks now. “Spurgeon will be 15 months old when the new baby arrives. Jessa and Ben are keeping the gender of their unborn child a secret, like they did with their first pregnancy. “Do you think they are expecting a boy or a girl? Do you have any name suggestions? ” As instructed, the Duggar faithful proceeded to offer their predictions in the comments section. Most seem to be of the belief that Jessa is having a girl, but that seems to have less to do with pseudo-science about the shape of her belly, and more to do with the belief that the Duggars wouldn’t be holding this side-by-side guessing game if the they already knew that the hid is a boy. Anyway, the rumors about Jessa misleading the public about her due date seem to have died down, which is great, because they made no damn sense to begin with. But we suppose that’s the problem with making your living off major events in your personal life like weddings and births. People will always suspect you of manipulating the truth in order to maximize potential ratings. View Slideshow: Jessa Duggar Baby Bump Pics: 2 & Counting! According to today’s blog post, Jessa is due on February 2. If all goes according to plan, we’re sure a delivery special will be ready to air on TLC by February 3. Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar Introduce 20th Child!

As previously reported, the Duggar family recently welcomed their 20th child into their home under the most unlikely of circumstances. Now, Jim Bob and Michelle have introduced him on social media! For those who may have missed it last fall, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar were awarded guardianship of an eight-year-old boy named Tyler. Yes, JBD and his wife, who produced 19 children biologically (or 20 if you count stillborn Jubilee) acquired this one a little bit differently. Michelle has a 23-year-old niece, Rachel Hutchins, who has fallen on very hard times – unemployed, she’s homeless, and on probation. Sad as that is, Rachel’s son Tyler, was paying the price, and her mom (Michelle’s sister), who had been taking care of him, had a stroke. With T’s mom and grandma both unable to continue looking after him, Michelle Duggar nobly stepped in and took charge of the situation. Jim Bob were granted custody of their great-nephew, seen here: Despite having formally added Tyler to the family, the Duggars have only mentioned the boy occasionally, until posting the photo above. The picture revealed that Tyler was about to “finish off” the jug.  Of milk. That’s about as hardcore as beverages get for Duggar family members of any age, but hey, it does a body good and all that. Anyway, the post left fans asking questions about Tyler, but the family didn’t reply. Curiously, they asked for more privacy instead. The Duggar Family Blog, which is not run by, yet in close contact with the family, said that they sought privacy for the child at this time. “At this time, the Duggars are choosing not to reveal the details of the situation that resulted in them receiving guardianship of Tyler.” “We encourage fans to respect the [Duggar family’s] wishes, especially since there is a minor involved,” the site continued. That may change, and when and if “the family decides to share more information with the public, we will post it to our blog.” For now, though, we’re left with more questions than answers. Since the guardianship was granted by a judge, Tyler has been seen in numerous family photos, usually with little fanfare. He was seen participating in homeschooling with the other Duggars, to getting a pocket knife to match Josh’s son Michael’s . A family insider recently said that the guardianship is going well and that the family has high hopes of adopting him for good. That would be quite a storyline for Counting on Season 3, no? As it is, the Duggars are gearing up for a new season that features Jessa Duggar’s second pregnancy and Joy-Anna Duggar’s courtship . Moreover, we expect to see plenty of Jinger’s marriage to Jeremy Vuolo, and likely the announcement of Jill Duggar’s second pregnancy . The adoption story, though, would be the most surprising, and arguably the most heartwarming thing to happen in Tonititown in years. If not ever. Think about it for a second, Duggar Nation: Mating and procreating will always be the family’s meal ticket, but going above and beyond like this is both unexpected and beautiful. A little universally positive PR never hurt … just saying. View Slideshow: Duggar Family Members: The Official Power Rankings!
