Kim Kardashian Arrives in New Orleans in Wake of Will Smith Murder

Kim Kardashian jumped on an overnight flight from Los Angeles to New Orleans on Monday in order to help comfort the wife of slain ex-football player Will Smith. As previously reported, the former defensive lineman for the Saints was tragically gunned down in the street on Saturday night after he got into a verbal altercation with a fellow driver. Both Will and his wife, Racquel, were shot after a driver rear-ended their vehicle. An argument ensued and police later arrested a man named Cardell Hayes, alleging that he produced a handgun; fatally shot Will multiple times; and also shot Racquel twice in the leg. She was taken to the hospital as soon as authorities arrived and is expected to make a full recovery. Kim, meanwhile, got to know the Smiths back when Will was a teammate of then-boyfriend Reggie Bush. After learning of the terrible news, she shared the following old photo of herself and Racquel and wrote as a caption: “My heart breaks for my sweet friend Rockie. I’m deeply saddened by your loss.” In a subsequent Tweet, the Keeping up with the Kardashians star added: “Sending so many prayers to her & her family! Dillon King: Husband of Amy Duggar Sued Over MASSIVE Debt

It’s been seven months since Amy Duggar married Dilllon King , and ironically, the woman commonly known as the “rebel Duggar” has been enjoying the most stable, scandal-free home life of anyone in her family ever since. Unfortunately, it seems Amy isn’t quite  immune to the sort of drama that seems to impact her cousins in the 19 Kids and Counting clan on a daily basis. Radar Online is reporting today that Amy’s husband, Dillon, was hospitalized in 2015, and has simply refused to pay his medical bills . Now, King is being sued for nearly $52,000 by the medical center in Bentonville, Arkansas where he was treated. A statement from the plaintiff’s lawyer reads: “The Plaintiff demanded of Defendants that said items be paid for in full on numerous occasions including: at or immediately following the time of providing the various items; within the 30 day period following the providing of said items; on or about June 26, 2015; and on numerous other occasions since said items were provided.” In addition to the fact that he’ll likely be forced to fork over a sizable sum, Dillon could be in trouble with his extended family as well. As fans of the Duggars know, Jim Bob believes debt is sinful and goes against the principles of good Christian living. Of course, Jim Bob has been caught lying about his debt-free existence , but that’s neither here nor there at this point. If the Josh Duggar sex scandals taught us anything, it’s that Jim Bob is much prefers looking down his nose at others over taking care of his own backyard. Jinger Duggar Criticized For Endangering 4-Year-Old Nephew

The women of the Duggar family are expected to start helping with household chores – including caring for their younger siblings – at a very young age. In keeping with that tradition, 22-year-old Jinger Duggar has been helping with the young ones since she was little girl herself. Perhaps that’s why this photo caught so many fans by surprise: That’s a shot of Michael Duggar, the 4-year-old son of Josh and Anna Duggar, asleep in the backseat of Jinger’s car during a shopping excursion. The image was posted to the Duggar’s official Facebook page this afternoon along with a caption reading, “Look at this photo Jinger sent us! Seems like her little shopping buddy needed some rest!” Seems harmless enough, but because everything the Duggars do stirs up controversy these days, several fans immediately went on the offensive. The problem, it seems, is that Michael is not properly restrained according to Arkansas state law, which dictates that children under the age of 5 or weighing less than 60 pounds must ride in a car seat. Naturally, the comments section on the photo has now devolved into a battleground with child safety advocates duking it out with the Duggar faithful: “He should be in a high back booster or a harness,” wrote one commenter. “She probably wasn’t driving when the photo was taken but had to have been driving with him in that position. He wasn’t properly restrained. Period.” “Even if he were in a backless booster and that booster is being hidden by the blanket in the photo, a backless/no back booster isn’t even an appropriate seat for a 5yo anyway,” another chimed in. Naturally, these comments sparked the usual “know-it-all moms” blowback: “1) she PROOOOBABLY wasn’t able to take such a perfect picture, from the driver’s seat, while driving. 2) if you say your child has.never done this, you’re lying. 3) they don’t need your safety advice,” one commenter wrote in Jinger’s defense. The Duggars have been criticized for photos of their kids on numerous occasions in the past year. In fact, this isn’t even the first controversy related to a car seat . Some of it seems to come from a place of genuine concern; most of it is just the usual Internet outrage directed at some very low-hanging fruit, but as several commenters pointed out today, when it pertains to their kids’ safety, the Duggars should probably just take the advice. Jill & Jessa "Counting On" Ratings: Duggars DOMINATE For TLC!

The Duggar family is controversial to put it mildly, but the return of Jill & Jessa: Counting On proved that they are still a draw for TLC. A big draw. Tuesday’s premiere drew 1.9 million viewers, with even more tuning in to watch Jill and Jessa: Counting On online throughout the week. That’s an impressive total for any series airing on a cable network, but for the Duggars, who were off the small screen for nearly a year? It marked a hugely successful comeback, all things considered. When 19 Kids and Counting , the precursor to Counting On , aired its final episodes in 2015, they were pulling in around 2 million viewers. Despite Josh Duggar’s sex scandals sidelining the family for most of the next 12 months, Jill, Jessa and their siblings are proving resilient. For his part, Josh is still persona non grata  on Counting On . His long-suffering wife, Anna Duggar, did all of the talking, going into great detail about the extreme pain he caused by cheating on her. We learned that Anna visited him in rehab  and that this gave her hope, which she relayed to her family, though trust issues still remain. Indeed, the new series seems to be focusing on the family healing and moving on … with Josh and parents Jim Bob and Michelle MIA. View Slideshow: 19 Things We Hope to See on Jill & Jessa: Counting On Like any other TV show, Counting On is counting on sponsors, many of whom found the Duggars radioactive last spring and summer. It seems many advertisers have come back around, however, but it’s no accident that Josh (and his parents) did not appear on screen. TMZ even reported that the Duggar family is not allowed to let Josh film with them and that doing so would be a breach of contract. Dillon King says no one trusts him . Apparently TLC concurs. Time will tell if he makes a return at some point, possibly as part of his long road to redemption. But don’t mark your calendars for it. Instead, expect topics such as whether  Jana Duggar is courting  (ditto Jinger or John-David) to become plot points on the new season. There are so many options for a family that has its faults, to be sure, but retains a strong following because they are real and relatable. Even with a growing chorus of critics hammering them for every move, the next generation of Duggars is back and better than ever. By and large, we would say this is very positive to see. You can love the Duggars or hate them, but at least Jana, Jinger, and their J-named siblings aren’t paying a price for things they didn’t do. Jill and Jessa Duggar: Shocked to Be Featured on Adult Website!

Prior to last year’s Josh Duggar sex scandals , many were under the impression that it didn’t get much more squeaky-clean than the 19 Kids and Counting clan. Unfortunately for Josh’s siblings, however, his misconduct was so egregious that it’s caused the public to view his entire family differently – especially his two most high-profile sisters, Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald. Though their own controversies are unrelated to Josh’s misdeeds, it’s hard to imagine that Jill and Jessa would be criticized so harshly if their family hadn’t fallen from grace in such a public fashion. First Jill was slammed for allegedly lying about her missionary work . Then Jessa was attacked for asking fans for for money  in order to purchase new clothes and other items for her son, Spurgeon. Like we said, Jill and Jessa’s mini-scandals pale in comparison to Josh’s, but the reactions from former fans are indicative of how far the Duggars have fallen in the past year. As a result, of course, they’re being treated differently on all corners of the the Internet, which may be why Jill and Jessa have found unexpected (and unwanted) popularity on a website that serves as an online gathering place for foot fetishists. The sisters were reportedly shocked to learn that they’re featured on a site called Wikifeet, which – though not a porn site itself – is decidedly NSFW, in that it contains links to sites with more graphic content, as well as some seriously racy comment boards. Anna Duggar is also featured on the site, but it’s Jill and Jessa who are receiving the bulk of the unwanted attention. “Her feet and toes are beautiful, everything is in proper proportion,” wrote one commenter about Jill. “Gorgeous feet. Sublime harmony of the toes. I loved it, perfect!” said another about Jessa. Needless to say, it’s not the kind of praise the sisters relish, but it looks as though they have no legal recourse. René Angélil Dies of Throat Cancer: Celine Dion’s Husband Was 73

Rene Angelil has lost a long battle with cancer. “Rene Angelil, 73, passed away this morning at his home in Las Vegas after a long and courageous battle against cancer,” Celine Dion’s team said in a statement to People . “The family requests that their privacy be respected at the moment.” Angelil has battled the disease three times since 1999;  he had surgery on his throat in 2014 to remove a tumor when the cancer returned a second time. Angelil and Dion married in a spectacular Quebec wedding ceremony in 1994, and renewed their vows in 2000 in Las Vegas. Dion had gone into semi-retirement in order to look after her husband, who was about 26 years her senior. “We have asked [doctors] many times, how long does he have, three weeks, three months? René wants to know,” Dion told USA Today  this past August. “But they say they don’t know.” Dion recalled her husband’s request to “die” in her arms.  “Okay, fine, I’ll be there,” she recalled telling him.  “You’ll die in my arms.”  Dion has remained remarkably strong throughout. “You can have your shaking knees at the end, but when someone you love falls and needs help, it’s not time to cry,” she told the newspaper. “Afterwards, sure. But not yet.” The music manger is survived by Dion, his sons Rene-Charles, 14, twins Nelson and Eddy, 5, as well as three grown children from a previous marriage, Anne-Marie, Patrick and Jean-Pierre.

Mike Huckabee Defends Duggar Family in EPIC Tirade!

Long before the Josh Duggar sex scandals made headlines, the 19 Kids and Counting clan was friendly with a number of influential conservative politicians, among them, former Arkansas governor and current presidential hopeful, Mike Huckabee. While most politicians (particularly those with their eyes on a national election) distanced themselves from the Duggars following the revelation that Josh had molested four of his sisters , Huckabee stood by the family's side. When it was reported that Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar has helped hide Josh's crimes from the authorities, Huckabee passed up the opportunity to condemn such actions, and instead argued that the media was “trying to destroy” the Duggars. Huckabee had probably hoped that the media attention surrounding the Duggars would have died down by now, but somehow the family seems to be embroiled in a new scandal every week. Equally surprising is the fact that – despite polling in the single-digits since day one of his campaign – the 60-year-old Republican is currently stumping in Iowa alongside candidates who actually have a chance. We'd the Huckster is wasting his time, but as long as he keeps providing us with hilariously interactions like the one below, we hope he keeps soldiering on. The footage – shot during a campaign stop in Clinton, Iowa – shows a woman calling Huckabee out for his politically disastrous support of the Duggars. “When the Duggars came out and the son had molested their child you more or less said that you felt sorry for their parents,” she says. “Their parents let it continue for over two years.” Huckabee tries on his best Trump impersonation and flips out on the woman, eventually cutting her off entirely. Just before the woman reveals that she's a victim of child molestation herself, Huckabee shouts at her, “You don't know that family and I do!” and sounds very much like a man who's desperate to justify a seriously ill-advised stance.

Duggar Family: Did They Secretly Visit Josh in Rehab on Christmas?

Last week, we reported that Josh Duggar would be spending Christmas in rehab , having not completed his course of treatment at the faith-based Reformers Unanimous facility in Illinois. Obviously, Josh’s actions have had a profound negative impact on his family over the past year, but even so, members of the Duggar clan have visited Josh in rehab and reported back that he seems to be doing well. Now, Radar Online is claiming that at least two members of the Duggar clan visited Josh on Christmas Eve , and they seemed to go to great lengths to keep the trip a secret. The website reports that younger brother John David Duggar’s private plane touched down on a small landing strip in Rockford, Illinois on December 24. Rockford is located less than two hours from Josh’s treatment center, and the Duggars have used the same landing strip when visiting him in the past. Witnesses say John David and a woman who was sporting the waist-length hair and old-fashioned clothing favored by the Duggar women were escorted from the plane to a white van with tinted windows. Sources were unable to confirm if the woman was actually a Duggar, or if other members of the family joined John-David on the trip. According to former Reformers Unanimous clients, only “patients” who are abiding by the rules and progressing with their treatment are permitted to receive visitors, so we can safely assume that Josh is showing signs of rehabilitation. Jill & Jessa Duggar: Advertisers Backing Out of New Series?

On Sunday, Jill & Jessa: Counting On will premiere on TLC, and lots of folks are not too happy about it. Jill & Jessa: Counting On Trailer The controversial family’s return to television has resulted in  Duggar boycott groups springing up all over social media, and now it appears their campaign is beginning to have an impact. A Facebook group called #NoMoreDuggars: Contacting Sponsors has been…well, contacting current and potential sponsors to encourage them to pull their support from Jill and Jessa’s three-part series. The group claims that 928 advertisers have already vowed not to put their money behind any of the Duggars’ future TV efforts, including the forthcoming Counting On. Obviously, most of the anger directed toward the family is the result of the Josh Duggar sex scandals that caused the Duggars to be removed from television in the first place. Though they initially defended their brother’s actions and their family’s handling of the situation Jill and Jessa have been critical of Josh in recent weeks. However, many feel the sisters latest comments are simply part of an effort to win over disillusioned former fans. TLC is only committed to airing three episodes of Counting On, but from the start, the network has hinted that if the show is a hit with fans, we can expect more specials featuring Jill and Jessa, and possibly even a full series.
