Robert Pattinson will leave Edward Cullen far, far behind this summer. The Twilight Saga stud has wrapped filming on Bel Ami , a drama which is rumored to premiere in early 2012 at the Berlin Film Festival. It features Pattinson as a leading man who dupes numerous rich women into sleeping with him and giving them his fortune. These lucky ladies include Scott Thomas, Uma Thurman and Christina Ricci. Ashley Greene has been playing Alice, an unwaveringly supportive sisterly friend to Kristen Stewart ‘s Bella, since the beginning of the Twilight series. In Breaking Dawn — Part 1 the psychic Alice serves as wedding planner and all-around helpful vampire girl, but also faces a sudden inability to help Bella by seeing her future, or that of the child she’s carrying. Greene talked about Bella’s well-being, the nature of relationships and the film’s intense birth scene.
Sure, Edward Cullen gets married in Breaking Dawn . And Bella Swan gives birth . But Taylor Lautner says this installment of the Twilight Saga highlights an especially interesting journey for his character of Jacob Black, telling our friends at Movie Fanatic that it was the most “challenging” film of the franchise to shoot. “Jacob becomes a man in this one and he has to make a lot decisions,” Lautner told Joel Amos. “He’s being torn between his two families. Some of the biggest A-listers in La La Land have done their time in the world of music videos. The new millennium has seen many a star play supporting roles in some of the biggest love-story-based videos to hit the streets in the last decade. In honor of Luna and Perry’s hookup for her video, we’re shouting out some of the most memorable video love affairs to grace our small screens in recent history. Jennifer Love Hewitt and Enrique Iglesias in “Hero,” featuring Mickey Rourke In the cinematic 2001 clip, Hewitt and Iglesias play runaway lovers who happen to steal some cash from the wrong guy, played by Rourke. He follows the star-crossed bandits to a highway, where he confronts them, and one of them meets a terrible fate. Stephen Dorff and Britney Spears in “Everytime” Back in 2004, Spears documented the perils of life and romance in the public eye in this somewhat dark clip that features Dorff as her boyfriend. The video caused some controversy back then because Spears appears to drown in a bathtub (by choice? by accident?) in it, much to the dismay of Dorff’s character, who tirelessly tries to revive her. Scarlett Johansson and Justin Timberlake in “What Goes Around … Comes Around” In 2007, ScarJo may have had Justin ‘s heart in this video, but she wanted a piece of everyone else’s as well. In the end, their relationship couldn’t sustain all that strife and things end quite tragically for one Ms. Johansson. Miley Cyrus and Kevin Zegers in Rock Mafia’s “The Big Bang” In 2010, Miley hooked up with onetime “Gossip Girl” star Kevin Zegers to weave together a love story that takes place perhaps only in Zegers’ mind. As an apparition, Cyrus haunts Zegers, reminding him of the great love they once shared. Dominic Monaghan and Megan Fox in Eminem and Rihanna’s “Love the Way You Lie” Sexy, dark and dangerous sums up the love affair between the former “Lost” star and the action heroine in this 2010 video. ‘It’s not a beginning-to-end sex scene; it’s memories,’ she tells MTV News. The fans demand it! Lucky for us, the stars in question keep talking about it as well, so we’re all able to revel in the warm romantic (after?) glow for a little while longer. When MTV News caught up with Kristen Stewart recently, we asked what her reaction was when she finally saw the intense scene play out on the big screen. “I think, for me, it really reflects what I felt when I was reading the book,” Stewart said. “It’s funny, because it’s not in the book. It’s totally just what you imagine in between those chapters, but without it, because you imagine it, it leads you to — it picks up right after, and then sort of really indulges in memory. And so I think that’s how you see it. It’s not a beginning-to-end sex scene; it’s memories, it’s nice. So because of that, I never really got to shoot, we didn’t shoot a sex scene; it was all close-ups and such.” Stewart’s steamy scene partner Robert Pattinson had a little more fun talking about the filming of their scene, in that he was happy to fulfill fans’ sexual fantasies with his acting. “That’s the one time where I have felt kind of like the coolest person,” Pattinson said of filming the scene. “[I thought] this is easy! I can fulfill people’s sexual fantasy expectations without even thinking about it, piece of cake. That isn’t acting,” he joked. “The only thing [that was difficult] is the vanity aspect,” Pattinson continued. “Taylor [Lautner] just ruined the whole series for me. We go through the ‘Twilight’ stars’ rumored projects to see what’s really happening. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Robert Pattinson at “MTV First: Breaking Dawn” Photo: MTV News While we would be more than happy to continue to watch “Twilight” leading men Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner go on playing their star-making roles of Edward Cullen and Jacob Black forever, we only have two more movies to go before they retire their big-screen vampire and werewolf statuses for good. The good news is that in addition to the two-part “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn,” both Pattinson and Lautner have plenty of film projects lined up to keep them up on the silver screen for the next few years. When MTV News caught up with Pattinson and Lautner during “MTV First: Breaking Dawn,” we played rumor patrol with their post-“Twilight” dockets. First up, Lautner is rumored to be teaming up with Oscar winner Gus Van Sant to make a small-budget film based on a nonfiction article from The New Yorker. What is the status of that film? “Gus is an incredible director. I would love to have the opportunity to work with him,” Lautner said. “Things are a little premature right now, but he’s amazing.” We’ll pencil in a “TBD” on that one. Next up, there are murmurs that Pattinson is up for the lead role in a Jeff Buckley biopic and that he’s being considered for the big-screen adaptation of the Green Day musical “American Idiot.” “The Jeff Buckley thing, I just love Jeff Buckley’s music,” he offered as a possible explanation for how his name became attached. ” ‘American Idiot,’ I don’t know where that came from,” Pattinson continued, at which point we let him know that lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong had mentioned Pattinson’s name back in 2009. “Really? That’s pretty cool,” Pattinson said. The hearts of men around the world who love laughter and beauty broke just a little bit today, as Kaley Cuoco announced that she’s officially off the market. The Big Bang Theory star is engaged to boyfriend Josh ‘Lazie’ Resnik. The latter works as an addiction specialist. No other details were revealed by Cuoco’s publicist, who first reported this news to People . This will be the first marriage for both individuals and no wedding date has been set. Congratulations to the couple!
Kris Humphries allegedly wants to yell KUT ! Insiders tell Life & Style – who latest issues screams that Kris and Kim Kardashian are headed for a split – that the power forward “wants out of filming” every waking moment of his existence. “They’ve had no time without a camera. He knows he signed up for this, but I think it’s weighed on him,” the source claims . And Humphries is stuck with Kim and her kamera krew more than he previously believed would happen, considering his employer (the NBA) has canceled the first four weeks of its regular season as the result of a labor dispute. Humphries makes $20,000 per episode, the tabloid says, and recently threatened his wife with the warning: “I’ll only be your little TV husband for a few more weeks.” This, of course, confused Kim to no end: she doesn’t understand the difference between TV and real life.
