Chris Brown is surprised, impressed and eternally grateful to the female fan who somehow returned the $22,000 Rolex he lost during his acrobatic VMA routine. The singer’s performance was so energetic, the crowd erupted ( everyone except Jay-Z at least). But Brown inadvertently flung his watch into the seats. Chris’ bodyguard went looking for it afterward, and shockingly, someone turned it in. Now Chris wants to reward that honest fan with the VIP treatment! Chris Brown VMA Performance 2011 The watch apparently got lost within the first minute of his routine. Brown’s rep said that unfortunately, Chris’ bodyguard didn’t get the name of the girl who returned the watch, but are hoping she will now contact them. Chris wants to personally thank and express his gratitude for her returning the piece with some tickets and backstage passes to his new “F.A.M.E.” tour. Sometimes, it pays to be honest. And a member of Team Breezy.
The season two premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hill s will go ahead as planned next week, with Bravo taking a few moments to address the suicide of Russell Armstrong prior to airing a re-edited version of the episode. How does this decision sit with Russell’s mother, John Ann Hotchkiss? Not too well. “When I was informed of this, I thought, ‘I hope Bravo will take the high road and keep it tasteful,'” Hotchkiss said in a statement to HLN’s Jane Velez-Mitchell. “Let’s not murder my son twice.” This isn’t the first time Hotchkiss has spoken out about her son and the series. Just two days after his death, the grieving parent appeared on HLN and said of her son’s marriage to Taylor Armstrong: “I began to notice things starting to fray when the television thing came into being, and I was very concerned.” Specifically citing Lisa Vanderpump, Hotchkiss said various castmembers “bashed” Russell and the program “really brought him down.” But, hey, at least Vanderpump didn’t make a mockery of Russell’s suicide by having her dog Tweet his condolences. Oh, wait, she did .
Taylor Lautner might be a little too modest. In the latest issue of VMAN, the dreamy actor doesn’t take any credit for the mammoth success of The Twilight Saga, instead telling the magazine: “It’s definitely these characters we are playing. [Fans] are in love with Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, and Jacob Black. They feel like they know them. We are just lucky enough to be playing them.” Stare all you’d like, ladies. He’s not going anywhere. True, but it’s possible the looks and the talent of Lautner, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson play some role. Taylor, of course, would never complain about his stardom. But he does point out one downside: “When I am traveling the world promoting the films, I say I am on vacation, but it’s not really true. When I go to a beautiful city I spend the whole time in a hotel room and then I am back on a plane to the next place.” Lautner next stars in Abduction . Check out a feature on the movie NOW .
Turn away, Kristen Stewart ! You really don’t wanna see this. In Bel Ami , Robert Pattinson takes on a role that is as far away from Edward Cullen as one can get. He portrays Georges Duroy in this October release, a ruthless social climber who pretty much beds every wealthy woman he meets, from Uma Thurman to Christina Ricci. The film is based on a novel and, as the following stills from it prove, if Pattinson sometimes thinks Edward is a p-ssy , it’s clear in this movie that his character simply likes… nevermind.
Inside the magazine, which goes on sale tomorrow, Stewart speaks on her favorite Breaking Dawn scene: Bella walking down the aisle to marry her pale man. The actress says shooting it was “volatile and emotional.” This just in: Edward Cullen and Bella Swan – soon to be Bella Cullen, as teased here!!! – comprise the most sizzling couple on the big screen. For those unconvinced, we present the cover of this week#39;s Entertainment Weekly. Case closed, right? “I was being such a crazy person,” St
‘You have to have some tantric breathing and stuff,’ he jokes to MTV News at Comic-Con. By Ryan J. Downey, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Robert Pattinson at the San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday Photo: Getty Images SAN DIEGO — What kind of preparation went into the steamy love scenes in ” The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part I “? Well, if Robert Pattinson is to be believed, there was very little. “You just get lubed up and jump right into it!” he proclaimed to MTV News while backstage at San Diego Comic-Con shortly after making an appearance on a panel with his “Breaking Dawn” castmates and director Bill Condon. The group answered questions from Comic-Con attendees and treated them to footage from the upcoming flick, which is the second-to-last film adaptation in the epic saga. Fan familiarity with Stephanie Meyer’s “Twilight” novels means anticipation has been high for several elements of “Breaking Dawn,” including a wedding, a birth and perhaps the most anticipated of all: the sex scenes. Smiling broadly, RPattz added: “You have to have some tantric breathing and stuff.” All joking aside, it was pretty clear once Pattinson continued talking that there was, in fact, a bit of planning put into the onscreen depiction of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan getting down to some romantic business. “Everyone always says it about sex scenes in movies — it’s really awkward and blah, blah, blah — but it is!” he pointed out. Ultimately, he likened it to a popular board game. “You’re playing Twister,” Pattinson deadpanned. With “Twilight” mania still in full swing, it might be hard for moviegoers to imagine seeing the chemistry between Pattinson and Kristen Stewart re-created within the context of different characters in another story, but that doesn’t mean Pattinson wouldn’t be up for re-teaming with her in a non-“Twilight” film. “I’d love to. Definitely,” he told us without hesitation. “I don’t know how audiences would respond to it or whatever, [but] I’d love to.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . ‘I was like, ‘Man, now it’s gonna [look like] a gimmick behind it,’ F.A.M.E. singer tells MTV News of his initial reaction. By Rebecca Thomas Chris Brown Photo: MTV News Even with full-frontal snaps of him circulating on the Net, Chris Brown wants everyone to know that, like a certain fired sitcom star, he’s still … winning! Earlier this month, a newly blond C.Breezy was preparing for the promotional run of his March 22 release, F.A.M.E., when photographs of the heavily tatted pop&B singer — completely in the buff and facing an oblong mirror with phone in hand — leaked to the Internet. Brown quickly took to Twitter , where he unleashed a salty post before removing it: “WTF!!! Here we go!!!” On Friday (March 18), Chris stopped by MTV News for a sit-down and he explained what really got him hot under the collar about the incident. “Let me be honest with you. I didn’t want to put no pictures out; that’s not my intention. A lot of people were saying, ‘Yo, he leaked the pictures, he was trying to get promotion,’ ” the “Deuces” singer said. “For me, I was always a singer, so unless I’m planning on trying to do porn, I don’t think I’d want to just leak my wang out to the world before my album comes out.” While leaking photos might be the go-to for celebutantes and wannbe stars famished for fame, Chris was bothered that critics would accuse him of deliberately passing along provocative pictures for publicity’s sake. “It was disappointing to me that it was out, because I was like, ‘Man, now it’s gonna [look like] a gimmick behind it,’ ” he said of the pre-release push for his album. “And I don’t want a gimmick behind anything that I’m doing.” Although Brown was mum about the girl on the receiving end of those racy pics, we wondered if the experience would make him more cautious with his iPhone in the future. But it turns out Chris found something oddly liberating about it. “Nah, I’m just living life, I’m just gonna have fun,” Brown said, adjusting his Billionaire Boys Club knit cap. “At this point, there’s no more insecurities with me. Everything’s out on the table. You’ve seen everything! Also, as an artist I’m free with my music. I get to talk about the subjects I want to talk about and also reach people. So I’m just gonna live my life, man. There’s nothing to be upset about, nothing to be angry … where I’m at creatively and mentally is great so I’m not gonna let anybody or any naysayer or hater mess that up,” he said before adding with a toothy grin, ” ’cause there’s no point, I’m … winning!” Related Artists Chris Brown
In MTV-premiered sneak peek, RPattz asks Reese Witherspoon to run away with him. By Eric Ditzian Robert Pattinson in “Water For Elephants Photo: 20th Century Fox What would you do if Robert Pattinson asked you to run away with him? That’s the question Reese Witherspoon is compelled to answer in a brand-new exclusive clip from “Water for Elephants” that we debuted during “MTV First: Robert Pattinson,” a 30-minute live chat with the actor on Friday (March 18). The clip comes at a point in the movie when Jacob (Pattinson) and Marlena (Witherspoon) are considering fleeing the circus in which they both work. The pair have fallen for each other, though Marlena is married to an unstable animal trainer named August (Christoph Waltz). His life at risk, Jacob is planning to jump from the circus’ train. “If we don’t get too far, there’s a hotel in Salem,” Marlena tells him. “But don’t stay longer than the night.” “Just come with me,” he says to her considerable vexation. “You think there’s nothing out there for you, but there is. You just can’t see it.” “Jacob, you don’t understand. I can’t. He’ll find me,” she tells him, referring to her husband. “Marlena, there’s a better kind of life that’s meant for you,” he answers. “Whether that life is with me or not, whether you love me or not, it doesn’t matter. But it’s got to be now.” Jacob then reaches out for her hand, offering up a smoldering look that would make Edward Cullen proud. After a few seconds of hesitation, Marlena takes his hand in hers. Wouldn’t you? What happens after that? You’ll just have to find out when the movie hits theaters April 22. The most striking observation made during a recent chat with Shiloh Fernandez is that the 26-year-old is a gentle and thoughtful soul in person — sincere, open, and regretful of comments he made recently about his run-in with Kristen Stewart years ago when reading for the role of Edward Cullen in Catherine Hardwicke’s Twilight . Fernandez may not have been meant to play the famous sparkling vampire, but he got another shot at working with Hardwicke when she cast him as the village bad boy in Red Riding Hood , the first romantic lead role in his young career to date. (Plus, he’s an avid Movieline reader. So, you know — bonus points!)
