Guess Which Movie Was the Highest Grossing 2010 Release for Fox?

Considering Twentieth Century Fox executives are probably still counting the cash they made from Avatar , it seems silly to pass around the collection plate for them after a down year of releases in 2010. That said, which surprising Fox production managed to top the ticket sales of such high profile disappointments as The A-Team , Knight and Day and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader ? Hint: Lesbians.

Is King’s Speech Really Better Than Unforgiven, The Sting, and These Other Best Picture Oscar Winners?

The folks at Rotten Tomatoes have tabulated their annual Best of the Best list, inserting Tom Hooper’s 2011 Best Picture winner The King’s Speech into the annals of Oscar history. But comparing great films to other great films has always been something of an apples to oranges situation; how can you measure, say, The Godfather Part II against An American in Paris — two very different films that occupy adjoining slots on the list and have the same Tomatometer ranking (98 percent)? With a carefully calculated algorithm, that’s how! Still… why does The King’s Speech not quite feel right sitting so high above other bona fide classics?

BGR exclusively reported in January that Research in Motion was hard at work trying to add support for Android applications to the BlackBerry PlayBook and its QNX-based OS. The move would be a huge one, as access to the second-largest mobile development ecosystem would give RIM’s new platform a huge jump in the all-important app game. Since our initial exclusive report, we’ve seen strikingly similar… Broadcasting platform : YouTube Source : The Boy Genius Report Discovery Date : 27/02/2011 23:05 Number of articles : 2

Robert Pattinson Says ‘Water For Elephants’ Felt Like ‘Big Movie’

‘It felt totally different from doing something within the ‘Twilight’ world,’ he tells MTV News of stretching beyond vampire role. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson in “Water for Elephants” Photo: Fame Pictures For all of the Robert Pattinson fans counting down the days until your favorite actor hits the big screen again, know that there’s now just about three months (94 days, to be exact) until the “Twilight” hunk’s next movie, “Water for Elephants,” opens. When MTV News caught up with Pattinson at Sunday’s Golden Globes (he co-presented the award for Best Foreign Film), we asked whether he thought “Elephants” was a big stepping stone for him, acting-wise. “I think so,” he said. “It definitely felt like I was doing a big movie when I was doing it and it felt totally different from doing something within the ‘Twilight’ world because now it just seems so familiar, the ‘Twilight’ stuff. It’s just like going to a normal job, doing that,” he explained of playing vampire Edward Cullen in the franchise. Pattinson’s “Elephants” co-star Reese Witherspoon told MTV News recently that she couldn’t help but agree with millions of fans about one thing: “He is extraordinarily attractive,” she told us. “I’m not gonna lie.” Witherspoon shares a kiss with Rpattz in the upcoming film and a new photo of the two in a lip-lock may make more than a few “Twilight” fans jealous. But Witherspoon was quick to add that Pattinson is attractive both inside — and out. “Robert is such a great guy from a great family,” she told us last month. “That’s the thing that’s so funny. He’s not really this bad boy; he’s just a great guy and really worked hard on ‘Water for Elephants.’ He really worked long hours, long days. He looks totally different in the movie.” Are you looking forward to how Reese compares to KStew as an onscreen leading lady to RPattz? Tell us in the comments!
