Can’t We All Just Get Along? Tyra Banks Pens Open Letter About “Supermodel Wars” Between The Old And New School Of Catwalk Strutters

Tyra Banks Talks “Model Wars” Tyra Banks is not here for the shade-fest between older models who got in the business through agencies and random discovery, and the new girls who got where they are through Instagram, reality TV, and nepotism . Tyra says that times have changed and so has the modeling game — so rather than older models trashing the new crew or young girls rolling their eyes at those who laid the groundwork for their careers. Via Tyra’s BeautyBank site: I LIVE IN THE MIDDLE OF A CERTAIN WAR THAT IS RAGING RIGHT NOW. A MODEL WAR. Why do I feel in the middle? I’m a model that started my career in high fashion, that transitioned to the girl-next-door sexy Supermodel, and then created a modeling reality show that catapulted my career and personal brand further than I could have ever imagined. I’m not 100% couture, nor am I 100% TV star. So, yes, I exist in the middle. A sort of hybrid. There’s a level of poetic first-hand experience and understanding that I have and want to share about this escalating battle between Supermodels of the past and present… Yesterday’s “Trinity” is today’s #Squad. And what we all must remember is that we are stronger together than apart. I hope we can start to act like it. I’ve had enough pain from my modeling years in the past and seeing my sisters in conflict today brings back those gut-wrenching memories. So, let’s band together and unite. Please end the fight. #SupermodelSquad And we must open our arms even wider. The modeling industry is no longer an exclusive, unattainable club that few can access. Anyone can be a model! If you have social media accounts, you can pose and post away, build your followers and make cold hard money all while having lots of fun. The modeling world is now a democracy and we need to celebrate it, lean into it. #IGModelForce The universe constantly changes and evolves, and will continue to do so until the end of time. It’s inevitable. And it’s beautiful. Just like all of you reading this right now. Eye See Your Beauty. Do you? Well, this was certainly something weighing heavily on Tyra’s heart…but does the average person actually even care how a model got her job getting paid to party and be cute? Instagram/Splash

President Obama Aghast at Notion of Peas in Guacamole

Gay marriage? Health care subsidies? The 2016 Presidential Election? Please.  President Barack Obama has a far more important subject to debate: the mere suggestion that one ought to put peas in one’s guacamole. The New York Times published an article on Wednesday, July 1 that dared to make this recommendation, as the venerable newspaper Tweeted along with the photo posted above: Add green peas to your guacamole. Trust us. The accompanying piece argued that including peas with this chip-themed delicacy adds an “intense sweetness and a chunky texture to the dip.” But a certain Commander-in-Chief strongly disagrees. “Respect the nyt, but not buying peas in guac,” Obama tweeted. “Onions, garlic, hot peppers. Classic.” As you might expect, the President’s own list of essentials sparked their own bit of online outrage, but let’s save his guacamole recipe for another time. Now, we simply want to know your take on this escalating situation: peas in guacamole? Yay or nay?!?

Here is the original post:

Earlier today, we presented the latest developments in the escalating possibility of an imminent air (and potentially land) campaign targeting Syria by the “western world”, a move that would infuriate not only Iran, but also Russia and China, both of which have made it clear they would not sit idly by and let such an “aggression” stand. Now it is Russia’s turn to retaliate. Cutting straight to the… Broadcasting platform : YouTube Source : zero hedge Discovery Date : 23/11/2011 14:20 Number of articles : 2

A Real Human Being and a Real Hero: Ryan Gosling Apparently Stops New York Street Fight

Movie stars: they really are just like us! They didn’t like Terrence Malick’s Tree of Life , they have trouble containing their bladders on international flights , and they break up gritty street fights? Perhaps! At least if they’re Ryan Gosling, who performed the latter chivalrous act recently in New York. Now, thanks to a passerby who couldn’t ignore the opportunity to capture the escalating urban violence on her cell phone, there is footage online. Ahead!

Bret Lockett: I Can Prove I Did Kim Kardashian!

Did Kim Kardashian cheat on fiance Kris Humphries with football player Bret Lockett? Yes, writes In Touch Weekly in its latest issue. No, argues Kim, who is threatening to take legal action against the tabloid for printing such alleged lies. But Lockett, a safety for the New England Patriots, tells TMZ that he can prove the two carried on an affair. He says he has phone records, text messages and Anthony Weiner -esque cell phone pics of the reality star. If need be, he’s supposedly prepared to present them in court. Whose side do you take in this escalating disagreement? Think Kim banged Lockett?

Michael Lohan to Dina: You’ve Got Two Weeks!

Michael Lohan swears he’ll pipe down for the next two weeks … provided his dysfunctional ex-wife gets her act in that time, otherwise it is SO on again. Issuing a deadline to Dina Lohan – giving her over two weeks to sit down and talk about Lindsay and Ali Lohan – Mike promises to STFU for the moment. After that, though, he will drag N.Y. State into the War of the Lohans . He and Dina will meet face-to-face on May 13 for a deposition in their child support battle, and that’s when he wants to talk about 16-year-old Ali Lohan. Specifically, Michael has issues with the fact that she’s living in L.A. with Lindsay … who’s appeared less than stable lately. That’s putting it kindly, too. Michael Lohan is doing all living things a favor and offering to shut up ’til May 13. That’s when he’s threatening to bring the state into his escalating family drama . Michael says if Dina Lohan dodges the conversation that day, he will quickly get Child Protective Services of New York State involved in the ugly situation. Presumably the agency has jurisdiction since Ali’s address is still in N.Y.? Michael struck out attempting to raid her house and free Ali in L.A. last week. Michael claims he’ll be quiet until the “deadline.” No word if his self-imposed gag order means only interviews or also includes a moratorium on Tweets about Lindsay being HIV positive . One can hope.
