‘Twilight’ Films To Hit Theaters Before ‘Breaking Dawn’ Drops

‘Twilight,’ ‘New Moon’ and ‘Eclipse’ will hit theaters on Tuesdays in November, leading up to the release of ‘Breaking Dawn – Part 1.’ By Jocelyn Vena Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” Photo: Summit It appears that “Twilight Tuesdays” are back. It was announced that Summit will re-release the first three “Twilight Saga” films on Tuesdays in November, leading up to the release of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” on November 18. The theater events will kick off on November 1 with the first flick in the franchise, 2008’s “Twilight.” “Twilight Saga: New Moon” (2009) will open on November 8, and last year’s “Eclipse” opens the following week on November 15. Each showing will take place at 7:30 p.m. local time, and the films have been updated to include cast introductions and interviews as well as behind-the-scenes content. Ticket information and a complete list of theaters hosting the events can be found at the Fathom events website. Anticipation for the first of two “Breaking Dawn” films is at a fever pitch, with fans yearning to see Edward and Bella finally tie the knot. The newlyweds’ honeymoon and all the drama surrounding Bella’s pregnancy will also be addressed in part 1. “I’ve seen it a few times,” actor Taylor Lautner told MTV News about the film. “I saw it for the first time while we were still filming, so it was a really rough cut, but I’ve seen several versions since then, and it’s getting better and better.” “You are going to face a lot of emotions, definitely,” he further teased about the Bill Condon-directed flick. “You are going to be angry. I guarantee you [that] you will cry multiple times. There’s a good mix. It’s definitely different than any of the ones before.” Of course, this is hardly the end for Twi-Hards. The second “Breaking Dawn” film opens on November 16, 2012. For Discussion: Does President Obama Owe George Bush And His Administration An Apology??

Former Vice-President Dick Cheney and his daughter Liz seem to think so… Former Vice President Dick Cheney praised the Obama administration Sunday for using a drone strike to kill American-born Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, but said President Barack Obama should now reverse past criticism of former President George W. Bush’s actions against suspected terrorists. Al-Awlaki — an American whose fluency in English and technology made him one of the top terrorist recruiters in the world — was killed Friday in Yemen, according to U.S. and Yemeni government officials. The strike also killed Samir Khan, an American of Pakistani origin, and two others who were in the same vehicle as al-Awlaki, said the U.S. official, who was briefed by the CIA. Khan specialized in computer programming for al Qaeda and authored the terror network’s online magazine, Inspire. “I think it was a very good strike. I think it was justified,” Cheney told CNN’s Candy Crowley on “State of the Union.” But “I’m waiting for the administration to go back and correct something they said two years ago when they criticized us for ‘overreacting’ to the events of 9/11.” To further his argument Chaney and his daughter Liz go on to say: The Obama administration has “clearly … moved in the direction of taking robust action when they feel it is justified,” Cheney said. Cheney’s daughter, Liz Cheney, went a step further, saying Obama “in effect said that we had walked away from (America’s) ideals.” “I think he did tremendous damage,” Liz Cheney said. “I think he slandered the nation and I think he owes an apology to the American people.” What say you? Has Barack Obama proved to be a hypocrite? Source

Do Mean Girls Make More Money?

Original post:

Just when we were starting to accept that pretty people made all the money, we get hit with yet another study. First, we were told that attractive people are paid $230,000 more over a lifetime based solely upon appearance and not experience. If that wasn’t depressing enough, a more recently published study is saying that people who are ruder make more. Does this sound crazy to you? The study, titled “Do Nice Guys — and Gals — Really Finish Last ?” looked at data compiled from around 10,000 workers over nearly 20 years, drawing on three surveys that sampled a range of ages and professions. The study’s findings are pretty clear — Researchers examined “agreeableness” using self-reported survey data and found that ruder women earned about 5% or $1,828 more than their agreeable counterparts. Does that mean we should all go to work and tell our bosses what we really think about our jobs? Eh, probably not. But, I think it’s important to at least know what the study meant by “agreeableness.” The authors are careful to explain what exactly constitutes “disagreeable.” Rather than a raving psychopath, a disagreeable person is “more likely than people high in trait agreeableness to behave disagreeably in certain situations by, for instance, aggressively advocating for their position during conflicts (van de Vliert & Euwema, 2004).” With that being said, I can’t help but wonder if a woman being more aggressive and assertive is being taken for “rudeness.” READ MORE 10 Ways To Avoid Overdraft Fees Personal Finance Education: The Hood vs. Harvard Debate
