Whitney Port Behind The Scenes Lingerie Pics

These are a few behind the scenes lingerie shots of Whitney Port’s recent Maxim magazine photoshoot. They’re not exactly the best of quality, but you see all the major parts and get the overall idea so they’re alright with me. Besides, I actually like the fact that they’re grainy and low quality, they make me feel like I’m hanging out on the set of a 70′s porn movie when I’m not supposed to be. 2000 Year Old Computer Recreated – Ancient Alien Technology

The Antikythera Mechanism, built by the ancient Greeks around 150 BC, was recovered from a Roman shipwreck in 1901. When the device was retrieved, however, it was so corroded that nobody fully comprehended its significance. It would take researchers using advanced imaging tools another century to realize that what they were looking at was the world's first computing device. added by: current_spider

WikiLeaks: Case Study for Cyberwar?

One of the problems of trying to understand cyberwar is that we don't really know what it looks like or how it behaves. Mostly, this is due to the fact that the participants/victims don't report it. If anything is reported, it is heavily skewed or filtered for political purposes… https://www.infosecisland.com/blogview/10254-WikiLeaks-Case-Study-for-Cyberwar.h… added by: Paisano1

Could the Wikileaks Scandal Lead to New Virtual Currency?

It's not an exaggeration to say that the recent Wikileaks scandal has shaken the Internet to its core. Regardless of where you stand on the debate, various services have simply refused to handle Wikileaks' business–everything from domain-name providers to payment services–and this has led to many questioning how robust the Internet actually is. Hackers have already stated their aim to create their own DNS system, which will bypass officialdom. This uses peer-to-peer technology to get around the problem, a favorite of hackers because it's impossible to regulate. But how about an entire currency based on peer-to-peer technology? That's what's on offer from Bitcoin, a decentralized virtual currency that could either be the best idea since they figured out how to slice bread, or just another hacker's daydream. As the Wikileaks debacle continues, it's being increasingly discussed in various sections of the Web as a possible solution to the PayPal online payments monopoly. Bitcoin is the creation of Japanese programmer Satoshi Nakamoto, and is a real, actual currency through which you can buy services and goods, right now. If you don't believe me, take a look at the Trade section of the Bitcoin website. Newcomers can earn Bitcoins by downloading the Bitcoin client software and running computationally intensive tasks on their computer. In other words, the longer your computer is left running the Bitcoin client program, the more Bitcoins you'll incur. It runs in the background, and is polite to other software so you shouldn't realize it's there. According to the FAQ, the current rate of earning Bitcoins is about 50 every three weeks. Bitcoins gain their value simply by the fact people are prepared to accept them as payment for services and goods. This sounds weak but this is not entirely dissimilar in nature to the major Fiat currencies such as the Dollar, Euro and Sterling. The only reason we're prepared to accept our wage in dollars is the fact that we know that shops and service providers across the United States (and other countries) are prepared to let us spend it. You can amass additional Bitcoins just like you can earn real-life currency–by offering services or goods and accepting Bitcoins as payment. Doing so will increase the integrity of the Bitcoin system–something which, as a potentially Bitcoin wealthy person, it's in your interest to do. Virtual currencies aren't a new idea, of course. Those with long memories will remember Beenz.com and Flooz.com, denizens of the dot.com boom that fell flat on their faces as the new century got underway. Additionally, some online games offer their own currency system that have virtual exchange rates for real money. However, Bitcoin differs because there's no central bank or other kind of controlling interest. It's entirely decentralized. Bitcoins are transferred between individuals or businesses by specifying their Bitcoin address. Transactions travel through the peer-to-peer network created by those who are running the Bitcoin client software. There's no single point of weakness. Nobody can stop the Bitcoin system or censor it, short of turning off the entire Internet. If Wikileaks had requested Bitcoins then they would have received their donations without a second thought. Of course, you should make of that what you will. You might also want to ponder the fact that practically anybody in any country can send and receive Bitcoins in an entirely unpoliced way. Should your business be looking to accept Bitcoins? That depends on how valuable you think they are, of course, and that's going to depend on what you can get for the Bitcoins you accumulate–in terms of goods and services that can be bought for Bitcoins. The current Bitcoin-to-dollar exchange rate appears to be about 20 cents, and you can trade currencies courtesy of the various sites that let users both buy and sell Bitcoins. However, purely as an intriguing idea that might indicate a possible future in an Internet heavily regulated by government, Bitcoins are worth taking a look at. Waka Flocka Flame ‘Feels Good’ About Gold-Certified ‘No Hands’

‘The first song going gold is big for me,’ Atlanta MC tells MTV News of club staple. By Hillary Crosley, with additional reporting by Audrey Kim Waka Flocka Flame Photo: MTV News 2010 has been a banner year for Waka Flocka Flame , not only in the streets, but also on the Billboard charts. Now, the Atlanta MC’s female-flavored anthem “No Hands,” featuring Roscoe Dash and Wale, has been certified gold by the RIAA after selling 500,000 copies. “That feel good, the first song going gold is big for me,” Waka Flocka Flame told MTV News at the Power 106 Cali Christmas concert in Los Angeles. “It means that I’m growing as an artist, so I need to take effect to that.” After dropping his mixtape Salute Me or Shoot Me, Vol. 1 in January 2009, many were introduced to the energetic rapper through “O Let’s Do It,” Waka’s breakout record. The rowdy club track quickly became a fan favorite and, a year later — after he peppered the streets with more mixtapes and a guest verse on “Bingo,” from Gucci Mane’s 2009 LP, The State vs. Radric Davis — “O Let’s Do It” got an official remix featuring Diddy, Rick Ross and Gucci Mane. Then “Hard in Da Paint” took over the clubs in early 2010, followed by “No Hands,” which currently sits at #1 on Billboard ‘s Rap Songs chart, #22 on the Hot 100 and #2 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Earlier this year, MTV News’ Hip-Hop Brain Trust voted the rapper 2010’s #8 Hottest MC in the Game . “I was like, got-damn!” Waka said at the time. “Oh, sh–, I made it! Hell yeah, I was [surprised]. Come on, man, I never thought I’d be on something like that. Not yet. It’s so soon.” What do you think of Waka’s breakout success this year? Sound off in the comments! Eminem’s ‘Love The Way You Lie’ Is MTV News’ #9 Song Of 2010

Rihanna collaboration topped the charts and got real, landing it high on our Top 25 songs of the year. By James Montgomery Eminem Photo: John Shearer/ Getty Images Last week, MTV News kicked off our countdown of the Top 25 Songs of 2010, an all-encompassing list that has already included the likes of Rick Ross and Robyn, Lady Gaga and Kanye West , to name just a few. Now, we’re pulling the curtain back on our pick for #9 … Eminem and Rihanna’s massive “Love the Way You Lie,” a song that resonated with both fans and critics alike, mostly because it was unafraid to get unspeakably real. For more than a decade now, Eminem has always operated with a safety net: his Slim Shady alter ego. Slim says and does the kind of things that normal people can’t (or don’t), dealing almost exclusively in wanton acts of violence and/or depravity and never, ever apologizing for any of it. At times, the act has been so convincing that you’re not quite sure if Em is Slim Shady, which is how he’s been able to get away with songs like “Kim” (in which he stuffs his wife in the trunk of his car), “Kill You” (where he rapes his own mother) and even “3 a.m.” (the one where he goes on a pill-addled murder spree). Because of Slim, no matter how brutal or unflinching Eminem’s subject matter, his fans have always been able to laugh it away, even if, deep down inside, that darkness still terrifies them. “That isn’t really Eminem,” the logic goes. “It’s Slim Shady. It’s different. ” But in 2010, Eminem changed things up. He got sober, he got serious and — for the most part — he shelved the Slim Shady character altogether. It was a bold, if not necessary, move, and the end result was Recovery, an album that has wowed critics and fans alike, thanks in no small part to the complete absence of that alter ego. Instead, we all got to see Em as his most honest, his most brutal … and, in the case of “Love the Way You Lie,” his darkest. On the surface, “Lie” is an unblinking, unyielding examination of a relationship gone horribly awry, a rapidly descending tale of two lovers who cannot live without each other, and seem destined to die because of it. It’s a masterwork of unfiltered angst, full of violence (both real and imagined) and threats (or promises), and the fact that it resonated to such a degree with the record-buying public — it was #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for seven consecutive weeks — is both a testament to its power and more terrifying than a dozen songs about stuffing someone in a trunk. But no matter how you choose to analyze the song and its success, you cannot deny the fact that the song works mostly because it’s so terribly real. When Em screams “Next time/ There will be no next time,” you can’t help but believe that he’s telling the truth, no matter how frightening that may be, and you get the creeping suspicion that he’s actually shouted that threat to someone very close to him at some point in his past. Perhaps even more terrifying is the fact that he follows that line up with “I apologize.” You cannot write a song any better than that, because that’s how this kind of thing happens in real life. And though she might seem an odd choice to sing the hook, Rihanna more than holds her own against Eminem’s bluster. She returns serve, her rage and heartbreak are equally as tangible as his … once again, because you get the feeling (well, or you know for a fact) that she’s been in situations like this before. Sadly, there’s no substitute for experience. “Love the Way You Lie” is about many things, most of which are very bad. But it’s also a testament to Eminem’s courage and willingness to put it all on the line, his gifted skills as a storyteller and his deft ability to turn his gaze inward. For the first time, he sheds Slim Shady and walks the tightrope without the aid of a safety net, a balancing act that’s scarier — and more thrilling — than a dozen ax murders. For better or worse. Where would you place Eminem and Rihanna’s “Love the Way You Lie” among the top songs of 2010? Let us know in the comments! MTV News’ Top 25 Songs of 2010 countdown continues.
