Rosario Dawson Speaks Candidly About Her Own Experiences With Sexual Abuse

Presley Ann/Patrick McMullan via Getty Images Rosario Dawson Reveals Her Experience With Sexual Abuse Rosario Dawson , a very vocal supporter of the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements, has recently shared with the world that she herself is a survivor of sexual assault, according to  People . In a recent appearance on the feminist podcast  Morado Lens , Dawson revealed that she experienced sexual abuse as a child. The actress told hosts Cindy Rodrigues and Natalie Fairfan about how the experience altered her perspective on facing similar occurrences as an adult, both inside and outside of the entertainment industry. She explains how her experiences shaped her mindset saying, “I was raped and molested as a child, so for me, the world was like that since I was a child. So when I saw it in the workplace, it wasn’t foreign to me. It was like, well, that even happens within the family. It happens with people that are supposed to take care of you when you’re a child.” Within that same moving episode, Dawson discussed the aftermath of her cousin, 26-year-old Veneza Ines Vasquez’s, sudden death. She found her unresponsive in her home last year, and that experience shifted her outlook on life, making her more grateful than ever. Rosario revealed on he podcast, “Whenever my moment comes, I wanna know that it’s been a good life. I don’t wanna be marinated in the upset, because I have a lot of trauma and sadness to dwell on if I want to. But there’s so much beauty and so many things to be grateful for. Peter Gunz and Amina Buddafly: It’s Finally Over!

The most dysfunctional relationship in the history of Hollywood has finally come to an end. No, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have not gone their separate ways. Not yet, at least. But it sounds very much as if Peter Gunz and Amina Buddafly are at last on the verge of doing so. We know this for one very simple and very straightforward reason: Both Peter and Amina posted the actual divorce papers on Instagram, with the latter taking this action first and thereby implying that she is the one who filed. “Ready, set, go…” wrote Buddafly as a caption, with Peter adding for his part: “The end…” Here is a look at the papers in question: Gunz followed up on this message by posting a photo of himself and his soon-to-be-ex-wife and making it clear that their split is amicable. “Our divorce is not ugly.. No lawyers no judges no Mediators!! Just us.. I love @aminabuddafly and the Beautiful Queens she gave me,” he wrote, concluding as follows: “Divorce in our case is not a bad thing it’s best and won’t change the support and love for her my kids and her music.. no comments necessary.” As those who watch Love & Hip Hop online (or on television) know quite well, Gunz and Buddafly have a pretty amazing history. We mean this is the most depressing/disturbing/hilarious/contentious/scandal sense of the word. Gunz and Buddafly (not their real names… we assume) got together while Peter was with Tara Wallace, the mother of a few of his kids. He basically kept having sex with both Amina and Tara over the years, more or less out in the open even. In August of 2016, the couple welcomed their second child into the world, a girl named Bronx. She was born not long after Gunz and Wallace also had a kid together, with Bronx marking Peter’s 10th child overall. That is not a misprint. Peeter Gunz is the father of 10 kids. And neither Buddafly nor Wallace seemed to really care that their baby daddy was also someone else’s simultaneous baby daddy. Wrote Buddafly to all the haters two years ago, while carrying one of Peter’s two fetuses at the time: “I Got pregnant again because I made love to the man I love… Now y’all can debate on why we did it until ya hair turns grey… “@petergunz174 I love you 4ever and I will never be scared to show or say it because of people.” Well, not so much 4ever , we guess. Not after this divorce news. Then again, it would surprise no one at all if Amina and Peter also announced in a few months that they’re expecting another baby together. That’s just how they roll. Megyn Kelly to Jane Fonda: STFU, You Hypocrite!

Megyn Kelly has put Jane Fonda on blast. There's a sentence we're guessing you didn't expect to read today. But the NBC anchor took a few moments out from her program on Monday to address the quasi feud brewing between her and Fonda, which started a few weeks ago when the veteran actress sat down for an interview with Kelly. Fonda was on hand at the time to promote the film  Our Souls at Night – and she did not respond kindly to Kelly bringing up her many plastic surgery procedure on air. “I read that you said you felt you're not proud to admit that you've had work done. Why not?” Kelly asked of Fonda, who responded tersely: “We really want to talk about that now?” The exchange went viral because, well, it was very awkward. And now Kelly has gone on the offensive against Fonda, explaining why she pursued this line of questioning and calling Fonda out. Hard. “When she first complained publicly after the program and repeatedly, I chose to say nothing as my general philosophy is what other people think of me is none of my business,” Kelly opened. “However, Fonda was at it again last week including here on NBC and then again elsewhere, so it's time to address the 'poor me' routine.” Oh, yes, Kelly held nothing back in this mini rant. “First, some context,” she explained, prior to adding: “Fonda was on to promote a film about aging. For years she has spoken openly about her joy in giving a cultural face to older women. “Well, the truth is most older women look nothing like Fonda, who is now 80 and if Fonda really wants to have an honest discussion about older women's cultural face, then her plastic surgery is tough to ignore. “Fonda herself knows this. She knows this and that is why, to her credit, she has discussed her cosmetic surgery pretty much everywhere before coming on our show.” The show then aired a handful of clips of Fonda talking about her plastic surgery to various outlets and her reasoning for it. Kelly's general point is that Fonda has opened the plastic surgery door many times and was out of line in making it look like Kelly was out of line for bringing it up. “Apparently, when she came here, however, again to promote her film about aging, I was supposed to discern that this subject was suddenly off-limits,” Kelly continued. “Look, I gave her the chance to empower other women, young and old, on a subject which she purports to know well and she rejected it. That's ok, but I have no regrets about that question, nor am I in the market for a lesson from Jane Fonda on what is and is not appropriate. “After all, this is a woman whose name is synonymous with outrage.” From here, Kelly brought up Fonda's comments during the Vietnam War, saying the actress set out to “shame” American troops. She also took Fonda to task for more recently telling the BBC that she was NOT proud of her country because it elected Donald Trump as President . But she is proud of the “resistance.” Seriously, Kelly went deep with this take-down. “So, the moral indignation is a little much,” she concluded of Fonda. “She put her plastic surgery out there. She said she wanted to discuss the plight of older women in America and honestly she has no business lecturing anyone on what qualifies as offensive.” Watch the full slamming below:

Esther McGregor: Daughter of Ewan McGregor Mourns Divorce in Angry Song

Last year, the world learned that Ewan McGregor split from his wife of 22 years . Some say that they separated last Spring, but the secret got out when Ewan was spotted kissing Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Whoops. Well, now Ewan is taking things a step further — because he's filed for divorce. Ewan's 15-year-old daughter is not taking it well. And, as you can see in the video below, she's baring her soul in a song that kind of roasts her dad. Ewan McGregor is one of those actors on whom everybody's mom has a crush. Or maybe I'm generalizing? Anyway, he's best known for his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Most recently, though, Ewan McGregor starred on Fargo . And do you know who one of his costars was? Mary Elizabeth Winstead. In one of those life-immitates-art scenarios that seem to happen when there's a middle-aged man spending a lot of time with a beautiful younger woman, the two went from sharing scenes to sharing kisses in public. It's believed by many that Ewan McGregor may have separated from his wife, Eve Mavrakis, some time in the Spring of 2017. Ewan's family has characterized this as a mid-life crisis. Ewan is 46 years old. Together, he and Eve have four children. TMZ reports that Ewan McGregor has filed for divorce , citing irreconcilable differences. He's filing for joint custody and expressed a willingness to pay spousal support. TMZ mentions that their sources say that there's no pre-nup in place, so this could be a very costly split — with their shared property being split in half. (A photo of Ewan in much younger days, closer to the time when he and Eve tied the knot) It may be that Ewan isn't too concerned about money at present because he anticipates a revival of his Star Wars career. At this year's Golden Globes , Ewan McGregor was sporting a beard reminiscent of his Obi-Wman role. Additionally, rumors have been circulating that an Obi-Wan film is in the works, though Disney has yet to confirm this. It will reportedly begin filming in 2019. We don't imagine that he'll be locking lips with Mary Elizabeth Winstead in that — Obi-Wan's only canon love interest was Duchess Satine of Mandalore, and she died before the events of Revenge of the Sith . But if he comes out of this divorce hurting financially, an influx of cash from Disney might be just the balm that he needs. But there's more than one way to be hurt. Did you know that those kissing photos with Mary Elizabeth Winstead surfaced on the birthday of Ewan McGregor's 15-year-old daughter, Esther McGregor? October 22nd. Divorce is an important option for so many couples, but more often than not, it's hell on kids. Some children blame themselves. Others feel betrayed by a parent who seems to be tearing apart their family. Esther McGregor clearly falls in the latter category. In a video posted to Instagra, Esther sings a song that she wrote. She all but spells out that it's about her father's new relationship. She even throws in a line about the world (herself included) seeing her dad kiss his new girlfriend on Esther's birthday. In the lyrics, Esther responds to the “s–t” she “found online” with: “I don’t know to forgive. I don’t know if I can. Ruining me.” She has a lovely voice. We're sorry for what she's going through. Divorce, as a process, can be hell. There's really nothing that you can tell the kids to show them the light at the end of the tunnel. This is a very healthy way for her to express herself. Matt Lauer: Kicked Out by His Wife! Finally!

Matt Lauer lost his job a couple months ago. Along with it, he lost his dignity. And now, according to a new report in The New York Post, he has lost his soulmate. The aforementioned newspaper quotes an anonymous source who says  Annette Roque has finally come to her senses and kicked Lauer out of the family home in The Hamptons. The disgraced Today Show anchor has reportedly moved out of this estate and is now crashing someplace nearby. (For the expensive record: He owns a $36 million compound in North Haven, a house in Sag Harbor and a 40-acre horse farm in Water Mill.) Lauer, of course, was fired by NBC in late November after a woman accused him of sexual harassment. Not long after this development, numerous other reports indicated that Lauer was basically a gross sexual predator at work. There have been allegations against him of dropping his pants in front of employees; of gifting them with sex toys; and even of raping one of them in his office . It’s horrible stuff all around. The public has been wondering for several weeks now just why Roque is sticking around. The only plausible explanation, which has been cited by many websites around the Internet, is that she and Lauer have been living separate lives for many years now anyway. Lauer spends nearly every week night in New York City and only would make it out to The Hamptons on weekends. Nevertheless, the more Roque has realized how much Lauer sucks, and the more chatter about previous affairs has emerged… the louder the divorce rumors have grown . The Post claims Roque will soon file the necessary papers to rid herself of Lauer once and for all. Sources have been saying of late that Lauer wants to save the marriage, but that Roque has been “very cold” to him. Hmmm… we wonder why that would be. Actually, no, sorry: we don’t wonder why that would be at all . Shortly after Lauer was fired, he issued a lengthy mea culpa that didn’t deny he had acted like a disgusting pervert for decades. Scroll down to read the statement in its entirety… There are no words to express my sorrow and regret for the pain I have caused others by words and actions. To the people I have hurt, I am truly sorry. As I am writing this I realize the depth of the damage and disappointment I have left behind at home and at NBC. Some of what is being said about me is untrue or mischaracterized, but there is enough truth in these stories to make me feel embarrassed and ashamed. I regret that my shame is now shared by the people I cherish dearly. Repairing the damage will take a lot of time and soul searching and I’m committed to beginning that effort. It is now my full time job. The last two days have forced me to take a very hard look at my own troubling flaws. It’s been humbling. I am blessed to be surrounded by the people I love. Jeremy Roloff Posts Tribute to Audrey Roloff on Anniversary of the Day They Met!

Audrey Roloff and Jeremy Roloff are perhaps the most visible couple on Little People, Big World .  That’s not just because they both have the best hair in the family. It helps that they’re both very active on social media, giving fans glimpses into their lives and thoughts — even when their show is on hiatus. Jeremy posted a beautiful tribute to his wife on a very special anniversary. And he included some great throwback photos of the two of them. Jeremy and Audrey have brought so much sweetness into each other’s lives, the lives of the Roloff family, and onto the screens of fans and viewers. All of that visibility has its drawbacks, unfortunately. That means that fans can grow hostile when Audrey Roloff appears talks about her faith in order to sell something . (She’s a businesswoman and Christianity is part of her brand) It also means that Jeremy Roloff gets parent-shamed for tickling Ember Jean . (The concern comes from a good place, about children setting boundaries, but Ember Jean is a baby and Jeremy’s interactions with her are healthy) But we’re glad that Auj and Jer wade through that hefty criticism, because it means that they can share precious posts. Jeremy posted a series of throwbacks of himself with Audrey, writing: “I met my wife eight years ago today on a blind date.” That’s so sweet! A lot of people dread blind dates, but sometimes, you meet the love of your life. “It’s been a wild and unexpected eight years.” It sure has! They’re now married parents as well as reality stars. (For the record, in case you remember Audrey and Jeremy’s seven-year-old “anniversary” pic , it sounds like they didn’t start dating right away after their blind date. They’re just marking eight years since they met ) Jeremy continues his sweet tribute (among the photos in which he and Audrey look dramatically younger) by musing upon the ways in which we both do and do not decide our own destinies. “We never get to choose where we end up, our daily choices choose for us.” We believe that what he’s saying here is that you don’t end up with someone by deciding that you’ll love them for the rest of our life, but by choosing to spend time with them as you know each other. That’s harder, but ultimately that’s how life works: one day at a time. “When we are old and grey I imagine the greatest thing will be looking back at the love story we have written.” That’s so sweet! And, of course, they’re already looking back on their love story. Jeremy uses a quote to speak about the next period in his and Audrey’s lives. “For the next half: ‘if it’s half as good as the half we’ve know, then here’s hail! to the rest of the road.’ A Severe Mercy.” Very poetic and very sweet. And then he finishes his tribute: “Cheers babe! (P.S. I love this photo of you)” It’s not clear which photo he means, because he shared so many and they’re all great. And look how far they’ve come. Their daughter, Ember Jean, is precious beyond words. We imagine that we’ll get to see so much more of that little one and her parents on the new season of Little People, Big World which is apparently coming out in a few months. It’s possible that Auj hasn’t always gotten along well with her entire family, but whatever conflict there was between Audrey and Jacob Roloff seems to be resolved . Kim Kardashian Surrogate Speaks Out: I’m Happy, Healthy and RICH!

As you’ve likely heard by now, Kim Kardashian welcomed her third child this week. The baby was born via surrogate at Cedars Sinai Hospital in LA early Monday morning. Kim made the announcement via her subscription-based app, but at this point, details are still relatively scarce. We know the baby is a girl, and the delivery went smoothly–but that’s about it. It might be weeks before Kim and Kanye go public with additional information, but one person who was directly involved in bringing their child into the world is speaking out … kind of. Not much is known about the surrogate hired by Kim and Kanye , and it seems that according to her contract, she’s not allowed to speak to the press. But that doesn’t mean her parents can’t speak to the press. Yes, the anonymous surrogate has contacted her mother and father, and in turn, they gave an interview to Radar Online. It might be the closest we’ll ever come to hearing from the surrogate directly. Fortunately, the parents have remained anonymous, which means the surrogate is not in violation of her agreement with Kim and Kanye. “She is doing well,” her mother tells Radar. “[Tuesday] she told me she felt fine.” Asked if there were any complications with the delivery, the surrogate’s father replied, “No, everything went well. As a matter of fact, she’s at home resting.” “She’s safe at home with her husband,” the mother added. Unfortunately, there are two matters on which the proud parents played it coy. For starters, they refused to reveal if their daughter was a fan of Kim’s before carrying the reality star’s baby. “She may have been!” her mother remarked vaguely, adding: “According to what my daughter told me, yes, they got along.” And per their daughter’s contract, the parents offered no information on how much Kim and Kanye paid for the use of her uterus. We suppose that’s okay. It’s not like we need an exact figure to tell us that the anonymous woman who had the honor of delivering the newest member of the Kardashian-West clan is now very, very wealthy.
