Maybe it has to do with the name… NEW ORLEANS — A Louisiana appeals court has upheld the murder conviction and life sentence for rapper C-Murder. C-Murder, whose real name is Corey Miller, was convicted of shooting a teenager to death in 2002. A three-judge panel from the state’s 5th Circuit Court of Appeal on Wednesday rejected Miller’s argument that he didn’t get a fair trial. In 2009, a jury convicted Miller of second-degree murder for shooting 16-year-old Steve Thomas during a confrontation at a nightclub. Miller claims the judge who presided over his trial allowed jurors to hear prejudicial and unsubstantiated testimony that he threatened witnesses to the shooting. He also accused prosecutors of systematically eliminating black people from the jury. But the 5th Circuit rejected those arguments. So it looks like we won’t be seeing a free C-Murder any time soon. Talk about a clusterfawk… An abusive hubby with murder on the mind took the old cliché ‘if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again,’ to a violent level – and now he’s paying for it. Richard Boyd tied to persuade his handyman to kill his wife – and then asked another man to kill the pair of them when the handyman refused. Elizabeth Aaron, of Rockville, Maryland, said her husband Boyd’s history of abuse began shortly after their wedding in 2001. The brutality continued for several years, often leaving Miss Aaron bruised and battered. Beating his wife is bad enough but what Boyd cooked up next was downright evil… While they were separated, Boyd formulated a plan to make his wife pay. He called up his handyman, whom he also sold drugs to, and asked him to kill his wife – or find someone who could – for $10,000 and some Oxycontin pills. Instead of carrying out the plot, however, the handyman went to the police, and helped set up a sting operation that led to Boyd’s arrest. Boyd was arrested and charged with one count of solicitation of murder and one count of distribution of a controlled substance. While questioned, Boyd swore up and down that he had nothing to do with a murder-for-hire plot targeting his wife. But as he awaited his day in court, he arranged another hit on Miss Aaron, this time asking a fellow inmate to kill her – AND the double-crossing handyman. Under normal circumstances, Boyd would have spent four to nine years in jail, but after he planned a second heinous plot, the judge decided to throw the book at him. Boyd was slapped with a life sentence with a minimum of 20 years in jail. What an a$$hole this guy is…SMH Source
This dad is awesome and his interviewing stilo is classic “I Did What I Had To Do”: HOUSTON—Richard Goodie is not the kind of father you want to mess with. A pair of suspects found that out the hard way Friday morning in a botched robbery in northwest Harris County. It all started when Goodie’s 14-year-old daughter, Moriah, was headed to school around 6:30 a.m. Investigators said she’d just locked up her home and was walking down the sidewalk when she was approached by two men. “She was approached by two black males. One with a pistol grabbed her around the neck and had her in a choke hold, and held the pistol to her head,” Lt. Jeff Stauber of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said. Luckily for Moriah, Richard Goodie heard the commotion. He grabbed his handgun and fired a warning shot, but the suspect still wouldn’t let Moriah go. “The gentlemen that had her around the neck said he was going to kill her if [the father] did not back away. [The suspect] started dragging the young girl into the street. There was some separation, and at that point the daddy was able to fire one shot at the suspect,” Stauber said. Richard Goodie’s shot struck the suspect in the abdomen, causing him to let go of Moriah. The second suspect fled the scene. “It was scary. It was scary. But I had to do what I had to do. He was jeopardizing my daughter’s life, my life. So I had to do what I had to do,” Richard Goodie said. Thankfully, Moriah was not hurt. “My dad did what he had to do, but I’m good,” she said. The injured suspect, later identified as Matthew Hendricks, was airlifted to Memorial Hermann. He is expected to survive. Police said a third suspect – the teen’s mother – was arrested when she pulled up to the scene in a car. Investigators said she and the injured suspect have both been charged with aggravated robbery, but they would not comment any further on what the mother’s role might have been. Our Company CEO’s and politicians want us to keep our heads down and not ask questions. Not demand the truth they don’t want us to care, they have trained us to turn a blind eye! Because they control us and profit from us this way! to push back at them questions and threatens their lifestyles. Children are dying everyday from hunger. Its effed up, its wrong and I am angry Im not going to shut up or give up – fawk the system, its wrong. wake up we are being used! Innocent children are dying each day…. we need to shout out to companies, politicians that we aren’t playing their games anymore. We are waking up to their lies and deceitful dealings. Chris Brown has been shut out of performing in the U.K. AGAIN — and this time it’s for the very special MJ tribute scheduled to go down tomorrow. One day before the Michael Jackson tribute, Chris Brown has been forced to pull out after he was denied a work visa because of his criminal record. The singer was set to honor the late King of Pop with a performance at the Oct. 8 star-studded Michael Forever concert in Wales, but he’s now axed his plans after being barred from entering the U.K. due to his 2009 assault conviction for attacking his then-girlfriend Rihanna. The show has been plagued with problems in recent weeks – the Black Eyed Peas dropped out of the tribute on Thursday due to “unavoidable circumstances”, and Gene Simmons was removed from the bill following complaints from fans regarding previous comments the Kiss rocker had made regarding Jackson’s child abuse allegations. Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Ne-Yo and Leona Lewis are still expected to perform as planned. Not like THIS! via JamaicaObserver.com : Investigators from the Major Investigation Taskforce (MIT) yesterday evening charged dancehall deejay Vybz Kartel with murder, conspiracy to murder and illegal possession of firearm. A news release from the police said that the charges against the deejay, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, were made following the conduct of an interview yesterday afternoon by detectives from the MIT in the presence of his attorneys. “The allegation is that on Monday, July 11, 2011, Palmer, along with other men, conspired to murder Barrington Burton o/c ‘Bossie’, a 27-year-old businessman/promoter of a Gregory Park address in St Catherine. Burton was murdered while he was standing with friends along Walkers Avenue in Gregory Park,” the police release said. Oh, there were witnesses? It’s a wrap. This was the scene when they picked him up… What could have possibly been that serious for him to throw his whole life and career away?

If you ask T.I. to give you some information about his upcoming reality show on VH1, he will not hesitate to correct you and let you know that that’s not what he’s working on at all. “I don’t like to call it a reality show,” he told BOSSIP yesterday, “because I feel like that undermines the integrity of the project. What we’re shooting is a documentary that offers viewers an inside look at all of the different facets of my life, most importantly me as a man and a father.” T.I. went on to explain that the new show, titled “Family Hustle” focuses much more on his family than it does him. While that may surprise T.I. fans who are used to him being fairly private when his children are concerned, he says that this wasn’t exactly his idea. “This is what the family wanted to do,” T.I added. “One of my sons wants to be a rapper, so he wants to showcase his talents and put ‘em out there. My daughter [Tiny’s oldest Zonnique] has the OMG Girlz and they’re doing really well. King wants to be an actor, my other daughter wants to sing. So they told me this is what they wanted to do, and I went out there and made it happen.” The show is likely to capture another kind of family drama too. T.I. also revealed yesterday that while the most visible of his Grand Hustle artists are doing well – B.o.B. with his new #1 single “Strange Clouds,” Young Dro who recently released new music, and the OMG Girlz who are currently on the road with the Scream Tour – he isn’t “throwing the building” behind anyone until he sees what they’re really working with. Up next for T.I. is a book tour in support of his new novel “Power & Beauty,” which hits stores on October 18.
