Britney Spears Drops 30-Second ‘Till The World Ends’ Video Preview

Her latest Femme Fatale clip arrives online Wednesday. By MTV News staff Britney Spears in her ‘Til The Word Ends’ teaser Photo: Jive MTV took you inside Britney Spears’ “Till the World Ends” video shoot during Sunday’s “I Am the Femme Fatale,” and now Brit herself is pulling back the curtain even further. Late Monday (April 4), the pop princess tweeted a 30-second preview of her next Femme Fatale video. “#TillTheWorldEnds video is coming out better than I even expected. Here’s a quick peek,” she wrote. In her next tweet , she revealed the release date for the follow-up video to “Hold It Against Me”: “#TillTheWorldEnds video premieres THIS Wednesday on VEVO. Cant wait to share it with you guys!” The 30-second teaser features some of the same moves Spears showed off during her three-song nightclub set in Las Vegas. This time, though, instead of the glittering lights of Vegas, Spears is leading an underground dance party as everything is crumbling around her in a dystopian universe. On Monday, it was also revealed that Spears will release two versions of the “Till the World Ends” video : a director’s cut with more of an apocalyptic story line and a choreography cut with the unabridged version of Brit’s dance moves. The video was directed by Ray Kay and shot in Los Angeles last month. “The set was a little much,” Spears recalled during the MTV special. “It was grimy and gross and it felt like there was poop everywhere when there wasn’t. It was sweat and it was disgusting sometimes … [I] tough it out,” she laughed. What do you think of the “Till the World Ends” teasers? Let us know in the comments! Britney Spears To Release Two ‘Till The World Ends’ Videos

A director’s cut and a choreography cut of the video will both be released. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears Photo: MTV News & Docs Who needs one “Till the World Ends” video when you can have two? Well, it seems that Britney Spears’ fans will get just that. JustJared.com reports that the singer will release two videos for her second single from Femme Fatale. According to the site, “The director’s cut will have more of an apocalyptic story line while the choreography cut will have the unabridged version of Britney’s dance moves.” The video was directed by Ray Kay and shot in Los Angeles last month. The video features Spears in sexy, body-hugging clothes getting sweaty with her dancers. “The set was a little much. It was grimy and gross and it felt like there was poop everywhere when there wasn’t,” she recalled in Sunday’s MTV special “Britney Spears: I Am the Femme Fatale.” “It was sweat and it was disgusting sometimes … [I] tough it out,” she laughed. In the video sneak peek featured in the special, Spears opted to change out of her sexy heels to dance in more practical Uggs. “It hurts … but it looks good,” she explained. “It wasn’t a full-length shot, so a girl’s about comfort when it’s not showing.” She later added, “It was a lot of fun. I had never worked with Ray Kay before. I was really happy with the work we did.” Spears’ “Till The World Ends” songwriter, Ke$ha , opened up to People.com about how she’d like to hang out with the pop star now that they’ve worked on a hit pop song together. “Skinny dipping. It would be a dress-up-like-Ke$ha-or-Britney party. Either her place or my place, it doesn’t matter,” the “Blow” singer said, describing their perfect hang-out. “I have a small, salt-water pool [at my house in Nashville] that has laser beams in it and a stereo so you can be underwater listening to music.” Are you excited for two “Till the World Ends” videos? Britney Spears Talks Filming ‘Grimy’ ‘Till The World Ends’ Video

Singer opens up about the Ray Kay-directed video in ‘I Am the Femme Fatale’ MTV special. By Jocelyn Vena, with additional reporting by Sway Calloway Britney Spears Photo: MTV News & Docs Britney Spears took fans behind the scenes on her music video shoot for her second Femme Fatale single, “Till the World Ends,” in her MTV special, “Britney Spears: I Am the Femme Fatale.” The video was shot in a dank basement somewhere in Los Angeles. Spears and her dancers don rocking post-apocalyptic black clothing, with Spears dancing around in a studded black leather jacket and a sexy black bodysuit. In the special, Spears is seen watching the playback on the Ray Kay-directed video. “[I watched it] just to make sure it’s right and that the costume looks right and the dancers are together and we all look in unison,” she explained. “It’s an energy and it looks fresh. It has a certain vibe with it and it makes sense.” This marks nearly the 40th music video Spears has made in her career. And these days, she says she is just looking to have a good time. When asked if she feels she needs to top herself with every project, she responded, “Not really. I feel like I’ve made so many videos that I’m at the point that I genuinely want to enjoy myself, and I have such a good team of people with me … we just have fun.” As much fun as shooting a video can be, it’s also a lot of work. At one point during the making of “Till the World Ends,” Spears wanted nothing more than a quick break. “The set was a little much. It was grimy and gross and it felt like there was poop everywhere when there wasn’t,” she recalled. “It was sweat and it was disgusting sometimes … [I] tough it out,” she laughed. Another sticking point during the shoot was the discomfort Spears felt while dancing around in heels. “It hurts … but it looks good,” she said, adding that sometimes she changes into Uggs. “It wasn’t a full-length shot, so a girl’s about comfort when it’s not showing.” At the end of the day though, the video was a lot more fun than work to shoot. “It was a lot of fun. I had never worked with Ray Kay before. I was really happy with the work we did,” she said. Britney Spears’ MTV Special Is ‘For The Fans,’ Manager Says

‘I want them to know that Britney is back and better than ever,’ Larry Rudolph tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears performs “Till the World Ends” at Rain Nightclub in the Palms Las Vegas Photo: Roderick Trestrail Britney Spears gives fans an inside look at her life and the making of her latest album in the MTV special “Britney Spears: I Am the Femme Fatale.” MTV News has of course been tracking the release of her record, which finally dropped on Tuesday, but we were also on hand as she performed in Las Vegas at the Palms’ Rain nightclub. Fans will get to see the show — and much more — for themselves when the special airs on Sunday, April 3, at 9 p.m. ET on MTV. When we spoke to Spears’ longtime manager, Larry Rudolph, in Vegas, he told us Brit wanted to put on a spectacle for her fans. She wanted to take her first Femme Fatale live performance to Vegas because much like the city, Spears’ concerts have lots of sparkle, pyro and razzmatazz, he explained. “We chose this place; we chose the Palms because the Palms is where Britney has so much history,” he said. “We performed here with the Britney album, we did a similar thing. We’re doing this eight years later now and we’re doing it for the fans.” Rudolph stressed that Spears has one main goal: to entertain her fans in the Femme Fatale era. “For her, it was really important to do it for the fans the first time she was out there,” he explained. “To do it here in Las Vegas, where everything is bigger and everything is more exciting and the fans are here for her, this was the place to do it. “I want them to know — when the fans watch this — I want them to know that Britney is back and better than ever, not that she’s ever gone anywhere,” he continued. “But she’s back and she’s better than ever.” Don’t miss “Britney Spears: I Am the Femme Fatale” on Sunday, April 3, at 9 p.m. ET on MTV. Britney Spears Reveals Studio Rituals In MTV Special

‘Britney Spears: I Am the Femme Fatale’ airs Sunday at 9 p.m. on MTV. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Sway Calloway Britney Spears in the studio Photo: MTV News & Docs Like most artists, Britney Spears has certain rituals when she hits the recording studio. And when she was putting down the tracks that made the cut for her latest release, the dance-floor-friendly Femme Fatale , Spears reveals what she needed to get into the mood. “I love vanilla candles … and I love my tea,” she explains in “Britney Spears: I Am the Femme Fatale.” “My assistant always has some hot tea, little things like that just to make me feel at ease and comfortable, just girly things.” In the special, Spears is filmed getting some of that beloved tea with her assistant, and later she hits the studio with “Big Fat Bass” producer will.i.am, who shows her the final cut of the booming track. “I did some tweaking to the ‘Big Fat Bass’: The bass is even bigger,” he tells her as she dances along to the song, which eventually is featured in her live show at Rain Nightclub at the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The special is a mixture of behind-the-scenes footage of the singer as she wraps up production on her album, which dropped this week, as well as an inside look at her life and fans. In addition, those who couldn’t make Spears’ recent Vegas show will get to see her as she takes the stage in her latest pop incarnation. Don’t miss “Britney Spears: I Am the Femme Fatale,” airing Sunday (April 3) at 9 p.m. ET on MTV. Britney Spears Is ‘True To Herself,’ Dolce & Gabbana Say

The famous design team talk about dressing the pop star for her Femme Fatale photos and appearances. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears Photo: C. Flanigan/ WireImage It seems like a natural fit for sex kitten Britney Spears to don sexy couture by Dolce & Gabbana. So when the Femme Fatale singer needed to make sure she was at her sexiest in promotional photos for the album, she called upon the legendary design duo. “We love Britney and we love to dance to her new songs!” Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the design team behind D&G, told U.K.’s Telegraph about the pop star. “We can’t wait to hear the whole album!” In photos, Spears looks hot sporting three designs by the duo. In one photo, she rocks a polka-dot body suit with platform peep-toe heels. In another shot, Spears sits on a bathroom cabinet, gazing into a mirror, while looking glamorous in a buttery gown made of a silk bustier and matching chiffon skirt. She pairs the look with tie-up platforms. In final image, Spears wears black spandex hot pants with an untied black silk bustier. “She has always been among our favorite artists because she has been able to remain true to herself and to her style throughout the years,” the designers added. “With her music she influenced and inspired generations of people for more than 10 years, always staying at the top, and we can’t but congratulate her for this new, important achievement.” Spears has been hitting the stage in similar body-hugging designs. From her glowing bodysuit to her sequined one, both of which she wore at her recent Las Vegas nightclub gig, Spears has certainly been stepping up her glamour game during the Femme Fatale era. D&G recently hooked up with another pop siren for her wardrobe: The pair is creating styles for Kylie Minogue to wear on her Les Folies tour. The designers expressed a similar sentiment about working with the Aussie pop star on her looks. “Working with Kylie has always been very spontaneous and easy,” the pair said in a statement. “We are given free rein to create because she trusts that we know exactly what she likes.” Spears latest album, Femme Fatale , dropped this week, and don’t miss the special, which airs this Sunday, April 3, at 9 p.m. ET on MTV. Britney Spears’ Femme Fatale: Will The Album Be #1?

Record is projected to sell 275,000 to 300,000 units in its first week. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears Photo: Jive Britney Spears’ new album, Femme Fatale , is a chugging dance-pop album full of sexual innuendo and thumping beats, made even sexier by Spears’ flirty singing style. It’s Spears’ latest release since 2008’s Circus, which sped straight up the charts as soon as Britney’s dedicated fans could get their hands on it. While Spears remained somewhat under the radar for her last release, this time around, the pop star has been on a media blitz, and as of press time, Spears had the #1 album on iTunes. Hits Daily Double Senior Editor Roy Trakin explained to MTV News that judging from sales so far, Spears will likely have the #1 album by next week. “We’re going out with the projection 275,000 to 300,000 [albums sold]; probably below label projections but those are always inflated. I think everything’s kicking in. There seems to be a lot of press attention,” he said of the album. “I think this is still a healthy total for her given the market and given where her career has been. This is a good showing.” Not only have sales been strong, music critics have also been loving the album. “The critical reception seems to be fairly positive, as well. That doesn’t have much to do with sales, but the general feeling is positive. She’s gonna be #1,” Trakin said. “300,000 is the over-under.” This week, some of Spears’ biggest competition comes from Adele, whose 21 has been selling consistently well for weeks, Jennifer Hudson’s newest release, I Remember Me, which sits at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart, Chris Brown, whose album F.A.M.E. is currently the #1 album in the country, and this week’s other big new release, Wiz Khalifa’s debut album, Rolling Papers . “Given the state of the market right now, this will probably be, I would think, this will end up being the second biggest debut of the year. Only Adele would be larger this year,” Trakin said. “That’s pretty good, actually. The real big story this week is Wiz Khalifa with Rolling Papers, with between 190,000 and 215,000.” Is there any chance of an upset that forces Spears out of the #1 spot? Trakin explains that that is unlikely, saying, “The Wiz Khalifa showing is strong, but it’s about 100,000 below what Britney’s gonna do.” To see what Spears has to say about the album and to watch her as she puts the finishing touches on it, don’t miss the “Britney Spears: I Am the Femme Fatale” special, airing Sunday, April 3, at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.
