Tiffany Haddish Is Nobody’s Fool When It Comes To Tyler Perry Trying To Convince Us That Whoopi Doesn’t Smoke | Extra Butter

Tyler Perry might have just made his best movie ever with Nobody’s Fool . The film is a deep dive into the world of catfishing that stars Tika Sumpter as Danica who is in a year-long relationship with a man she’s never seen in person before. Things are going well until she gets a call from her mother played by Whoopi Goldberg that her sister, played by Tiffany Haddish is coming home from jail and has to live with her. After doing some investigation, Tiffany calls up Nev and Max from MTV’s  Catfish to find out if her sister is truly being catfished and the movie goes full steam ahead from there. On today’s episode of Extra Butter with Xilla Valentine we get the honor of chatting with the legendary Whoopi Goldberg, along with Tyler Perry, Tiffany Haddish, Omari Hardwick , Tika Sumpter, and Amber Riley to go behind the scenes of Nobody’s Fool, which is in theaters everywhere this Friday, November 2nd 2018. After I watched the film, I found out a lot of people felt like I did, that this was the best Tyler Perry movie we’ve ever seen. Now love them or hate them Tyler’s movies have a reputation. So when I sat down with the writer, director, and producer of Nobody’s Fool I had to get his opinion on what this meant to him. Tyler told us, “If I’m not trying to continue to get better then I’m not doing my job man. I’m almost 50 and I’ve been in this thing 25 years so I got to keep improving, I’ve got to do something different. This is also the first movie with Paramount so it’s a whole different ballgame for me over there.” Tyler goes on to explain that he didn’t want to have Whoopi Goldberg and Tiffany Haddish in this movie and restrain their comedic minds to doing a PG 13 movie. There is also a special secret cameo in this film that will leave you in tears. Like real tears from laughter. I swear I might have seen a few people literally rolling on the floor in laughter in my theater. I also asked Tyler and Tiffany if either one of them got to smoke with Whoopi, she’s been a big champion of the medical benefits fo marijuana and even has her own line of products for cramps and other pain. Tyler might not have been aware of that because he insisted that Whoopi didn’t smoke, only partakes in a glass of red wine every now and then. Tiffany, on the other hand, disagreed saying that if she doesn’t smoke, she must have had the BEST prop in the world. Whoopi expanded by saying she was the only one who smokes and that she believes in the healing power of marijuana calling it, “the perfect medication.” Trust the entire exchange is super funny and worth watching on this episode of Extra Butter with Xilla Valentine and be sure to go see Nobody’s Fool in theaters November 2nd.

Staten Island Residents Attack Crew Filming Where Eric Garner Was Chocked To Death

The rest is here:

T here is currently a series being filmed on the killing of Eric Garner, titled “The Fifth Boro.” But production stopped this weekend when a handful of onlookers reportedly attacked the actors filming the chokehold death scene at the exact location where Garner was killed by police on July 17, 2014. See Also: Bill Cosby Sentenced To 3 To 10 Years In Prison For Sexual Assault Conviction According to The New York Daily News , James Russo , Anthony Mangano and Mark John Jefferies , best known for his roles in “Losing Isaiah” and “Get Rich or Die Tryin’,” were filming a scene on Thursday where the two white actors wrestle Jefferies to the ground. It was unclear if Jeffries plays Garner because the IMDB page for the film says he his role is a character named Drey. While filming, “a bottle came soaring onto the set, aimed at Jefferies, who said the projectile missed his feet by ‘about 8 inches.’” Jefferies told the New York Daily News, “They were just being ignorant and I don’t have time for that. We were literally about to roll and one of them threw a bottle in my direction.” Jefferies said he approached the person who threw the bottle and yelled, “If you don’t like it, you can get the F out of here.” Director Steve Stanulis, a former Staten Island cop, decided to no longer film at the location where Garner was killed. He also claimed, according to the New York Daily News, that he wasn’t aware that was the location where Garner was killed. Sounds like Stanulis and his team need to do some better research if they are recreating the controversial police killing and aren’t even aware they are at the location where he died. Drunk White JetBlue Passenger Calls Out for NAACP While Being Subdued

We don't hear so often from Utah Man, but we sure do hear a lot of airplane nightmares. Thankfully, this intoxicated troublemaker didn't make it past boarding before being arrested for assaulting a JetBlue employee. Unfortunately, his 8-year-old son watched as his white father screamed obscenities and called out for the NAACP. It will surprise no one to learn that this went down in Florida. Utah man Brandon Strong was at the Orlando International Airport when, according to police, he began harassing a woman. When that alleged verbal harassment escalated to the point of him calling the woman a “c–t,” JetBlue stepped in. JetBlue employees informed him that he would not be permitted to board the flight. According to a sworn statement by one of those employees, this is when Strong got physical. Strong allegedly became physically confrontational “I explained to him that he could not travel and asked for his son,” the JetBlue employee writes. “At that point,” the affidavit continues. “He pressed his iPad against my chest and pushed me.” The employee writes: “I pushed his hands away from my chest, and he attempted to grab me.” “We wrestled,” the affidavit says. “And myself and a couple other customers tried to restrain him.” The operative word there is that they tried to restrain the man. Police say that there were multiple 911 calls about the incident. (It turns out that people really take notice when you're violent at an airport — who knew?) According to Officer Jason Hajek's affidavit, Strong was very obviously intoxicated. Hajek wrote that he “could detect the strong odor of the impurities of alcohol on his breath.” Brandon Strong allegedly continued to resist, and was warned that he would be subdued. Strong was warned that he might be met with a “chemical spray.” Hajek writes that, with a crowd surrounding him, he fired “one short burst” of pepper spray at Strong. Pepper spray is a potent chemical weapon, and the Fire Department was called to offer treatment to those in the crowd who were impacted. During the scuffle, Strong yelled “Where is the NAACP?!” The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is America's oldest civil rights organization. While the NAACP has addressed many topics, including excessive force by police, it is unclear why Strong felt that the organization was relevant. For one thing, this wasn't a beating for jaywalking. This appears to have been a case of police putting a stop to his behavior. For another thing, Brandon Strong is a 45-year-old white man. Anyway, Strong was arrested for disorderly intoxication, resisting officers, and assaulting police. On a funny note, Strong referred to the initial JetBlue employee as “Paul Bart Mall Cop.” Unlike the film by that name, that is objectively funny. On a considerably less funny note, the man's 8-year-old son witnessed this. One can only imagine what else he has seen from this man. JetBlue looked after the boy and his mother was contacted and informed that he would be transported to Utah. Honestly, from the looks of this video, this situation might have been a lot worse had bystanders not stepped in.

Is Netflix Using Racism To Make Black Viewers Watch White Movies?

S ome Black viewers are giving Netflix the serious side-eye after they have been duped into watching predominately white movies that appear to have a Black cast. See Also: Bring It Home! Multiple images are now generated for each and every title and change regularly to lure audiences depending on their tastes and previous viewing history.” However, London podcast host  Tolani Shoneye  told The Guardian, “It’s intrusive. It’s the dark side of marketing. I noticed it a while ago with a Zac Efron film that I’d already seen, but Netflix kept showing me it as a Michael B. Jordan movie.” Netflix released the following statement, “We don’t ask members for their race, gender or ethnicity so we cannot use this information to personalise their individual Netflix experience. The only information we use is a member’s viewing history.” Of course Netflix doesn’t ask for your racial background, but using a member’s viewing history to dupe the Black viewers into watching a 95 percent white film is false advertising. Netflix needs to do better — or maybe create more Black, original content. #MuteRKelly: Parents Of The Singer’s Alleged Victim Launch ‘Abuse Hotline’ Against Him

Source: Al Bello / Getty The parents of a young women who believe R. Kelly has brainwashed their daughter and is holding her captive have created a hotline for other women who may have fallen victim to the singer. According to  Mic ,  Tim and Jonjelyn Savage  have been bombarded with calls from nearly 80 women and parents with their own stories of abuse by the Pied Pier after a 2017 Buzzfeed article was published with accusations against the singer. After time, the Savages noticed a disturbing trend: So many of these callers were afraid to go public. So they created a “R. Kelly abuse hotline” last week to create a safe space for people to come forward, speak their truth and to leave a message going into detail about their allegations against the “I Believe I Can Fly” singer. “One reason I feel that he’s been getting away with a lot of the allegations for the last two decades is because people feel he has money and power and they don’t have the resources to fight him,” Mrs. Savage explained. READ MORE:   EXCLUSIVE: Lawyer To Family Whose Daughter Is Allegedly Being Held Captive By R. Kelly Speaks Out About New Song In addition, the Savages hope that this influx of callers will allow for them to build an even stronger case against R. Kelly. “There’s no age limit on being mind-controlled, drugged, brainwashed, there’s no age limit on that,” Mrs. Savage said. “So the more we have more young ladies or even men, or parents that are willing to speak out, the more we think it can help our daughter as well as helping other victims.” As we previously reported , the Savages told Buzzfeed last they haven’t seen their daughter Jocelyn since December 2016 and haven’t spoken to her on the phone since December 2017. Shortly after, Joycelyn told TMZ that her parents’ claims were false and that she willingly stays in a relationship with the singer. As we all know, the Savages claims are not new or rare when it comes to the Grammy winner. For decades R. Kelly has  been accused of predatory behavior , especially among African-American women and girls. He is also facing a lawsuit that claims the 51-year-old knowingly transmitted an STD to a women he began dating when she was 19 and he as been accused of cultivating a “sex cult” abusing multiple women. That, and there was that damning documentary on BBC3,  R Kelly: Sex, Girls and Videotapes,  where former girlfriend Kitty Jones says that Kelly introduced her to a girl whom he had allegedly “trained” since she was 14. “I saw that she was dressed like me, that she was saying the things I’d say and her mannerisms were like mine,” Jones said in the film. “That’s when it clicked in my head that he had been grooming me to become one of his pets. He calls them his pets.” READ MORE:   R. Kelly’s ‘I Admit’ Song Is Unhealed Word Vomit We Just Don’t Want R. Kelly has denied all sexual assault, kidnapping and sex cult accusations. This past summer, he  released a new song  addressing the sexual assault, pedophilia and sex cult allegations that have been circling around him for more than two decades. And while the title of the song, “I Admit” gives off the impression that the Pied Piper has finally come clean about his alleged predatory behavior, it’s quite the opposite. In the 19-minute track, Kelly denies all illegal allegations, going as far as to say that the people accusing him are lying and are only doing so to extort money and ruin his career. He also painted a picture of being a victim of sorts, claiming that he was sexually assaulted as a young child, is basically illiterate and has perhaps battled with drug addiction.
