Last year at this time, Hailee Steinfeld was just finishing work on her first feature film — Joel and Ethan Coen’s magnificent True Grit — and was unknowingly enjoying her last few months of anonymity. Since the film’s December release, the one-time Kmart commercial star has been on a nonstop red carpet tour from the Oscars to the BAFTA s to last week’s Young Hollywood Awards , where Movieline played a lightning round of My Favorite Scene with the poised 14-year-old actress.

Who knew?’ By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Jennifer Lawrence Photo: MTV News For those who keep tabs on the world of best-selling young adult fiction and the big-screen adaptations that accompany them as we do, the most exciting story to come out of that world recently is the film adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ dystopian mega-hit, “The Hunger Games.” Naturally the biggest news was the announcement that Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence had won the highly coveted role of Katniss Everdeen , followed by casting news of key characters Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) and Gale Hawthorne (Liam Hemsworth), then Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinkett and later, Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy. MTV News was lucky enough to score a few minutes with Lawrence recently to talk all about her exciting upcoming projects, including “The Hunger Games” and “X-Men: First Class.” While discussing the huge fan-following behind the “Games” trilogy, the topic of comparisons to another popular book series-turned-box-office dominator, “Twilight,” and its leading lady, Kristen Stewart, came up. Given that “The Hunger Games” and “Twilight” have a few similarities, we asked Lawrence if she’s spoken to Stewart about the experience, or if she’d want to commiserate in any way about starring in hugely popular book-to-movie franchises. “No, I haven’t spoken to her,” Lawrence said, and then playfully acted out a little pantomime scene of what might happen if and when the two ever do meet. To do so, Lawrence used a series of incomprehensible grunts and gestures that could be loosely translated as, “Hi, how are you? You’re in those movies. You are, too. Cool.” “I don’t really know what we’d say,” Lawrence admitted. “[We’d] just be like [gestures to an invisible book in her hand], ‘Books! The first matinees of the Kate Hudson / Ginnifer Goodwin vehicle Something Borrowed haven’t ended yet, but Mr. Skin’s already got the rubdown on all the sexy scenes! There’s no nudes to be seen in this fluffy romantic comedy, but there are some sexy moments to fill your Kate Hudson spank bank during her pregnancy. In one scene, she bares her upper thigh in a sexy table dance, then a nude photograph of her appears framed on a wall (unfortunately she’s covering her candy with her arm), and finally she wears a white shirt/shorts combo that doesn’t conceal the teeny bikini underneath. Ginnfer Goodwin fans can look forward to a tasty, but all too brief, shot of side boob as she leaves her man’s house the morning after. Can Mr. Skin borrow a kleenex? In nudetastic limited release is Italian drama The Double Hour, which features double bush from jugulous Russian Kseniya Rappoport , who got nude and kinky in The Unknown Woman (2006). In one scene Kseniya, playing a Slovenian immigrant in a doomed lover affair with an ex-cop, is wearing her bra as she and her officer lover get it on in bed. When he gets up to leave, she uncrosses her legs for a super-rare bra-and-bush scene . Later in the film we see Kseniya’s bush again when her panties get pulled down having sex against a wall. The Notorious B.I.G. ‘s son, Christopher “CJ” Wallace stars in the upcoming film Everything Must Go with Will Ferrell , but he made his debut portraying his late father in the film Notorious . Wallace revealed in an interview that he didn’t really want to play his father on screen. “When I did ‘Notorious,’ my grandma, Ms. [Voletta] Wallace, she told me that I should come in and read for the part as my father,” CJ told The BVX . “Honestly, I didn’t want to do it. I didn’t want to do it because it seemed so likely for me to do it, like Biggie’s son is going to play Biggie. After I had my acting coach and really read through it, I started to find out things that I didn’t know about him. Then I took more of an interest into it. It was actually fun, going out to New York, living like him, going into his old apartment, doing what he did. It was cool.” Everything Must Go hits theaters on May 13th. With Thor poised to kick-off the next chapter in Marvel’s superhero empire this week, the film’s stars and creatives found themselves looking to the future at a press conference Sunday in Los Angeles. Though actors Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston were loathe to drop details on the currently-filming Avengers , they gave a teaser of what to expect when their godly alter egos collide with human superheroes like Iron Man and Hulk in the Joss Whedon-helmed 2012 pic.

By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Chris Hemsworth Photo: MTV News All of MTV News’ recent interactions with Chris Hemsworth, a.k.a. the man about to grace movie screens as the God of Thunder in “Thor,” have naturally been very focused on the highly anticipated film and all the nerdy details that come with portraying a comic book superhero. We love everything “Thor,” of course, but since the Norseman will also be appearing in the possibly even more anticipated and mysterious “Avengers” movie , we can’t help but pester everyone in the high-profile cast about the film, which just started production . So when we caught up with Hemsworth recently to expand on our ever-growing database of “Thor” information, we prodded the Aussie for some “Avengers” details. Although he couldn’t give us much, he seemed excited that his onscreen brother Loki (played by Tom Hiddleston) will be joining him on set, as well as the potential for a superhero smackdown. “[It’s great] to have my brother there. Even if we don’t get along,” Hemsworth joked. “[Hiddleston] is fantastic. [He gave] an incredible, incredible performance in the film, and he’s going to do the same in this one.” With regard to how all those superheroes will be interacting, particularly Tony Stark, Hemsworth said the environment will be tense. “There’s certainly some tension. You’ve got big egos on these superheroes,” he said. “None of them want to be told what to do or form an alliance with these people who they don’t understand anything about,” he said. “In the comic books, you see that it’s not an easy mix; that’s definitely in [the movie].” When asked if we’ll see the ensemble cast (Samuel L. Jackson, Clark Gregg, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Hemsworth and Hiddleston) come to blows, Hemsworth surprised us with an answer in the affirmative. “Well, you’d want it, wouldn’t you? Otherwise, why are we all there? I think it would be safe to say you can expect something like that,” he said. The movie isn’t coming to a theater near you anytime soon, but how better to celebrate the majesty of Nature on Earth Day than with a groovy naked chick? Back in 2007, Sienna Miller was set to star in Hippie Hippie Shake , a biopic about controversial Australian publisher Richard Nellville , as Richard’s earth mama girlfriend Louise. The movie contains plenty of nudity from Sienna, like a full frontal skinny dipping scene, seen here in still pictures taken on set. Despite the historically inaccurate landing strip, those who have seen Hippie Hippie Shake say Sienna is the picture of all-natural beauty, not even wearing makeup for most of the film. Too bad it’ll probably never be released. The movie rights to Nelville’s book were first bought in 1998, and after two failed attempts to get the movie off the ground, it was shot in 2007. Sienna’s personal drama with Jude Law delayed the first scheduled release in 2008; then, an announced 2010 release date came and went without the film being shown. Hollywood rumor is that Hippie Hippie Shake is “unreleasable,” and members of the initial creative team are now disassociating themselves with the project, which right now has no scheduled release date.
