First, he was rumored to play Spider-Man in a rebooted version of the big screen comic book adaption. Now, Robert Pattinson is reportedly in the running to portray a musical icon: Great Britian’s The Sun says Courtney Love wants the Twilight star to take on the role of her late husband, Kurt Cobain. A biopic about the deceased Nirvana frontman has been considered for years, but producers have had trouble casting the lead. Can you envision Pattinson as Cobain, the singer who shot himself in 1994? Love can, and “she has agreed to the film on condition that she gets to decide the main aspects of the project including director, casting, screenplay and music,” sources tell the newspaper. “Robert has been calling and emailing her non-stop… he is her number one choice to play Kurt.” Who might play Courtney? She is “adamant” about Scarlett Johansson for the role, the same insider says. The upcoming Iron Man 2 co-star is friendly with Frances Bean, Love’s daughter with Kurt. Based on Scarlett’s sexy Iron Man 2 poster , we know one person who might object to this casting choice: Kristen Stewart. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves. Five cities. Five countries. Three weeks. One baby. That’s how long and how far Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler have traveled together promoting The Bounty Hunter, and what the actress expects to get out of it. According to the unintentionally comedic OK! Magazine , it was during Jen and Gerard’s stop in Madrid, Spain, that fans started buzzing about more than the film. The gleam in Jen’s eye … her easy, confident glow … her left hand resting on her not-so-flat tummy … unmistakable signs that she is with child! Or just relaxed. “Jen very much wants to have a baby girl,” a source says. “She had a heart-to-heart with friends and relatives and this is the year she’s going to be a mom.” If that wasn’t proof enough, this cover will do it … So who’s on deck to play dad? Gerard Butler! Jen not only “adores Gerry” but thinks “he’d make a perfect father.” This story is hilarious for several reasons: The carefully chosen language that never actually says Jennifer Aniston is pregnant (or even dating Gerard Butler). Oh, tabloid editors. Wordsmiths. The use of the word “confirmed,” in all caps no less. Thank you, OK. What is confirmed? That the report exists? It sure does … and applies to nothing!

New Moon was a solid follow-up to Twilight . But we know one way in which the sequel could have been even better: More Taylor Lautner shirtless! Granted, we were privy to a number of scenes in which Jacob eschewed a shirt… but would anyone have objected to one or two (dozen) more? Fortunately, a couple weeks after the New Moon DVD hit stores, a deleted, five-minute scene from the film has been released. Hollywood has been mulling over movies about Nirvana frontman since 1994. By Adam Rosenberg Kurt Cobain Photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage In the 16 years since Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain was found dead on April 5, 1994, numerous attempts have been made to recount his too-short life in film. “Milk” director Gus Van Sant came the closest, modeling the lead character (played by Michael Pitt) in 2005’s “Last Days” after Cobain. A handful of documentaries have also recounted his tragic tale. The next hope for Nirvana fans who would like to see the fallen musician immortalized on the big screen is an untitled biopic that is said to be based largely on “Heavier Than Heaven,” a 2001 biography by Charles R. Cross. “Quantum of Solace” director Marc Forster was at one point rumored to be helming the biopic, though the gig has since passed to “The Messenger” director Oren Moverman . When MTV News spoke with Moverman in February, he set the record straight. “There is a script from David Benioff that is about Kurt Cobain, and I’m in negotiations to polish it and then direct it, but it’s not a done deal deal yet,” he said. “It’s in the works and hopefully it will work out.” Moverman added that Benioff’s script does not lean as much on “Heavier Than Heaven” as some initially thought. “That book has a lot of information, so, yeah, it’s definitely a great resource. Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler make a hot couple. But are they even a couple? Or just a rumored couple ? Or just a couple of friends … who get horizontal!? It’s obvious that their film, The Bounty Hunter, benefits greatly from speculation about the pair’s romantic involvement (and can use every bit of it, reviews say). But is it all for show, or is there something there? Rumors flew once again after Butler was caught playing grab-ass with Jen while greeting fans in Paris, France. In a Friday interview, Butler joked about his booty bust. “I’m a bit of a bad boy,” the notorious playboy actor admitted, before demurring, “by the way, I’m still not sure my hand was really on her butt. I think that’s just the way the camera was angled … I actually haven’t seen [the photo].” FRIENDS AND (MAYBE) THEN SOME : Are Jen and Gerry hooking up? “If I was going out with Jennifer, I’d be more than happy to say I’m going out with Jennifer, but it’s just not true,” he added after being pressed further on it. Yet a Butler pal counters that the flirty costars have been “hooking up for a while,” even if they’re not an official couple. So it’s that sort of arrangement. HOT! An Aniston pal confirms that they slept together in Mexico at her February birthday blowout: “She would like it to be more, [but] they’re friends with benefits.” Damn, Jen. You can’t give away the cow when … forget it. A rep for Aniston, meanwhile, says the “friends with benefits” label is “both crude and incorrect.” So basically … who knows. Long live the Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler tease!
