Indiana Company Sells Breathe Easy Shirts To Support Cops Via The Grio reports: An Indiana uniform company is responding to the “I Can’t Breathe” shirts that star athletes and protesters have been wearing following the death of Eric Garner by an NYPD officer with a t-shirt of their own. South Bend Uniform Company is currently selling “Breathe Easy” shirts, reports RTV6. The black t-shirts with white text feature “Breathe Easy” written at the top, followed by an illustration of a police badge and then the words “Don’t Break The Law.” According to the company’s website, it is owned and operated by Corporal Jason Barthel of the Mishawaka Police Department. The new t-shirt came shortly after the Notre Dame women’s basketball team donned “I Can’t Breathe” shirts while warming up for their game Saturday. After receiving negative feedback via social media, the uniform company posted an explanation for the t-shirts on their Facebook page. Will you be wearing this shirt??

The claims come as Mel has been unveiled as the new cover star for Grazia’s Christmas issue, to whom she admitted that she was three hours late for the shoot because she’d had an argument with Stephen, 39. The magazine quotes her as saying: ‘I walked in pi**ed off because I had a big row with my husband about stupid stuff. Sometimes he pi**es me off like no other, but he gets me.’ A well-placed source on The X Factor said that Stephen didn’t visit his wife of seven years during the three days she spent in hospital, or attend the X Factor final on Sunday. The source revealed that Belafonte is not liked by other members of The X Factor team. ‘None of that means that he has ever laid a finger on Mel, but he is not an easy person to be with, that is obvious to see. It was a physical and emotional collapse. There was an emotional element to it, Mel has been under a lot of stress. ‘He didn’t come to the show on Sunday as far as I am aware. He wasn’t in her dressing room. I don’t believe he visited her in hospital, either.’ On Sunday, Belafonte was seen outside the Kensington block of flats where he and Mel, 39, have been renting an apartment since October, overseeing the loading of about 20 suitcases into a minivan. A source told The Sun that the marriage is on ‘life support’, adding: ‘Mel hasn’t spoken to Stephen once since her admission to hospital last week and as it stands she doesn’t want to see him. You have witnessed a murder and killer go free … NYPD Cop Who Murdered Eric Garner Not Indicted By Grand Jury Staten Island was bracing for Ferguson-like trouble Wednesday after a grand jury chose not to indict an NYPD officer for killing Eric Garner with a chokehold, sources said. Via NY Daily News : There had been warnings earlier that a decision not to charge Officer Daniel Pantaleo, who is white, with a crime for killing a black man, would fan tensions. And as word of the panel’s decision seeped into the Staten Island neighborhoods where anti-police sentiment is strongest, cops were on high alert and prepared for the worst. The rally was held to address the medical examiner’s report that came Friday saying Eric Garner’s death was caused by a chokehold, a banned police maneuver. Garner, a 43-year-old father of six, was killed July 17 when Pantaleo subdued him on a Tompkinsville street with a banned chokehold. Police said they approached Garner because he was selling unlicensed cigarettes – better known as loosies – and that he resisted arrest. They noted that Garner’s rap sheet listed 31 arrests, beginning when he was 16. But Garner’s death sparked national outrage after The Daily News obtained a sickening cell phone video of his deadly encounter with police. Pantaleo, who had been accused of false arrest and violating police procedures in two previous lawsuits, was yanked off the street. The Staten Island district attorney and the Civilian Complaint Review Board launched probes. And the medical examiner’s office ruled Garner’s death a homicide. Daniel Pantaleo, the Staten Island cop accused of putting Eric Garner in a fatal chokehold, testified Friday in front of a grand jury. But after several months of reviewing the evidence, a majority on the panel, which sources said consisted of 15 white and 8 black or Hispanic jurors, concluded there was not enough there to charge Pantaleo with a crime. Pantaleo, 29, an eight-year veteran of the force, could still be hit with departmental charges that could end his career as a New York City police officer. Rest in peace to Eric Garner, your death was not in vain. The NYC medical examiner ruled the death of Garner was a homicide but the grand jury doesn’t indict the cop who killed him. Ummm…. WHAT?!?!
