Elsewhere In The World, This Is Considered Too Much???

Here’s is the ad for Marc Jacobs’ new fragrance Lola, featuring 17-year-old Dakota Fanning . Do you think this picture is inappropriate? The British sure do… A print ad featuring the teen actress has been banned in Great Britain after being deemed too “sexually provocative.” In the ad, an innocent-looking Dakota, dressed in a frilly pink dress, holds a giant bottle of Marc Jacobs’ Oh, Lola! perfume between her thighs. Four complaints were lodged from readers offended with the ad, which was enough for the Advertising Standard’s Authority to pull the campaign. Here is part of the ASA ruling’s: “The length of her dress, her leg and position of the perfume bottle drew attention to her sexuality. Because of that, along with her appearance, we considered the ad could be seen to sexualise a child. We therefore concluded that the ad was irresponsible and was likely to cause serious offence.” Coty Inc., the company that manufactures the fragrance, argued it was “provoking, but not indecent” and didn’t show any “private body parts or sexual activity.” Regardless of their plea, the ASA has banned it from being published in any U.K. publication. Ummm… do you see a problem with it? Here’s another shot from the campaign. Source More On Bossip! Shhhh! Embarrassing Secrets That Damn Near Ruined These People’s Careers And Lives! R.I.P. For Discussion: Michael Jackson’s Bodyguards Say He Wouldn’t Have Wanted His Friend Conrad Murray On Trial

Here’s an interesting take on this whole Conrad Murray trial. Two of Michael Jackson’s former bodyguards are speaking out in defense of Dr. Conrad Murray, saying he is not a criminal. It was something heard from Murray’s defense team: Other doctors provided Jackson with powerful prescription drugs, and Murray was being blamed for Jackson’s dependency to those other drugs. Now Javon Beard and Bill Whitfield are saying the same thing. “We know if he was alive, he would not want Dr. Conrad Murray to be on trial,” Beard said. “There’s no way in hell that he wanted to kill Michael Jackson. Why would he kill his paycheck?” Jackson’s former bodyguards shared new details about Jackson’s relationship with Murray. “The relationship that him and Mr. Conrad Murray had on our watch, they were more friends,” Beard said. Murray is on trial for involuntary manslaughter. Prosecutors say his negligence caused Jackson’s death, but Jackson’s former bodyguards say the testimony has unfairly vilified Murray. “Seeing how only Dr. Murray is being pointed out, I look at the trial and see, you know, that courtroom would not be big enough to hold everyone in it that we feel would be accountable,” Whitfield said. In an interview with an ABC reporter in Las Vegas, Beard and Whitfield both said they’re convinced that someone other than Murray was medicating Jackson during the daytime to help him prepare for what was a demanding rehearsal schedule. “Dr. Murray may have helped Mr. Jackson sleep. We certainly believe that there were certainly other doctors that helped him stay up,” Whitfield said. “It’s way bigger than Dr. Conrad Murray,” Beard said. “That’s no question in our minds.” What these guys are basically saying that, as hard as it may be for his billions of fans to hear, Michael Jackson was just like any other addict with enough money to always be able to find someone to say yes. Kelly Osbourne Says Telling Her Parents Her Fiance Cheated With A Transgender Woman Was “Humiliating”

Poor thang! Kelly Osbourne recently opened up about the transgender cheating scandal that broke up her year and a half long relationship with model Luke Worrall. It turns out she had quite the “Oh Boy” moment when she had to tell her parents her man was cheating with a woman who was born Reynaldo Gonzalez: The 27-year-old told Glamour Magazine: ‘Having to tell them my fiance had cheated on me with a tranny who sold his/her story to the press [was the most uncomfortable moment]. It was so humiliating. She added to the magazine: ‘Everyone kept telling me that Luke was cheating on me, but I never believed them. It’s hard enough to get your head around someone cheating on you, but when someone is a chick with a d**k? Up until then, I’d always thought that the worst way to get cheated on would be with an ugly girl. Don’t you think? Because at least if they cheat on you with a gorgeous girl it makes some kind of sense. But men are different, I guess, they can have emotionless sex.’ Dayuuuuuuum… Right? Earlier this year Schneider spoke out about the affair saying that Worrall definitely knew about her boy parts: “He knew instantaneously… He was definitely not turned off by it at any point. In fact, he was turned on. He made it very obvious.” Elle also said that Kelly befriended her after learning of the affair. Here’s a photo of Elle Schneider — the person who Luke was poking behind Kelly’s back: Of course living in these modern times, Kelly has already been reproached for her comments. A website called TransAdvocate.com posted an article blasting Kelly’s words: While I think it’s horrible that Osbourne was cheated on, her hate filled rant that used some of the most objectifying and dehumanizing words is even worse. She’s implying that the trans woman in question has no value, other than sex. That you’d have to have “emotionless sex” with a trans woman. Kelly, did you ever stop to think that maybe he cheated on you because of your bigoted and intolerant attitudes? Just a thought. Hate is a pretty ugly thing to be around. Well then. What do you think? Should Kelly have chosen her words more carefully? Or have we as a society become overly sensitive??? Source

Does The GOP Support Herman Cain Because They See Him As A Black Man Who “Knows His Place?”

Are Republicans supportive of Herman Cain because he’s the kind of black man that makes them feel safe? The kind that helps assure them they’re not racist? Friday, while guest commentating on Martin Bashir’s television program, Democratic strategist and MSNBC analyst Karen Finney said that Republicans are supporting Herman Cain because of his race: “One of the things about Herman Cain is, I think that he makes that white Republican base of the party feel okay, feel like they are not racist because they can like this guy,” Finney said. “I think he giving that base a free pass. And I think they like him because they think he’s a black man who knows his place. I know that’s harsh, but that’s how it sure seems to me.” “Thank you for spelling that out,” Bashir responded. This isn’t the first time liberals have made this kind of charge about Cain and his supporters. During an online production of NBC’s Meet the Press this week, Democratic congressman Elijah Cummings of Maryland said white voters support Cain to show they aren’t racist. “I think when [members of the Tea Party] can vote for a Herman Cain and hear him say the things that he says they feel like, ‘Well, you know, I can, I support this guy and…so it shows that I’m not racist and I’m supportive,’” Cummings told host David Gregory. Liberal comedienne Janeane Garafalo told Current TV host Keith Olbermann earlier this month that Cain is popular with Republicans because it “hides the racist element” of the party. Do you agree? Or are liberals playing just as dirty as the conservatives with this kind of commentary? Source

Ho Sit Down: Rappers And Singers Who Don’t Know That Their Career Is Over Part 1

You gotta know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em, know when to walk away, know when to run… Nothin’ lasts forever, and that old adage is especially true when it comes to hip-hop and R&B. Some artists are fortunate enough to have long careers with several multi-platinum albums, but even a good run has its end. We’ve rounded up some artists that might not have gotten the memo that the general public has moved on to something newer and shinier. Some of your favorite rappers and singers may be on this list, and it might be hard to accept, but we feel like these folks’ careers are all but finished. For Discussion: Is ‘An Eye-For-An-Eye’ Always The Best Policy???

CNN’s Roland S. Martin seems to think so… “Look, I don’t want to kill someone. But if you threaten my family [and] one of our lives is in danger, I’m doing all I can to kill you. No apologies.” – CNN contributor Roland S. Martin, commenting via Facebook on the U.S.-led attack that killed Anwar al-Awlaki, the American-born radical Islamic preacher turned propaganda chief for al-Qaida, in Yemen on Friday. Some had questioned whether the killing of an American citizen without due process was unconstitutional. Martin was apparently not one of them. It’s one thing to defend yourself, but another to actively search and kill someone. Do you feel that the U.S. was wrong to kill Anwar Al-Awlaki, a U.S. citizen, without due process?? Source

For Discussion: Does President Obama Owe George Bush And His Administration An Apology??

Former Vice-President Dick Cheney and his daughter Liz seem to think so… Former Vice President Dick Cheney praised the Obama administration Sunday for using a drone strike to kill American-born Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, but said President Barack Obama should now reverse past criticism of former President George W. Bush’s actions against suspected terrorists. Al-Awlaki — an American whose fluency in English and technology made him one of the top terrorist recruiters in the world — was killed Friday in Yemen, according to U.S. and Yemeni government officials. The strike also killed Samir Khan, an American of Pakistani origin, and two others who were in the same vehicle as al-Awlaki, said the U.S. official, who was briefed by the CIA. Khan specialized in computer programming for al Qaeda and authored the terror network’s online magazine, Inspire. “I think it was a very good strike. I think it was justified,” Cheney told CNN’s Candy Crowley on “State of the Union.” But “I’m waiting for the administration to go back and correct something they said two years ago when they criticized us for ‘overreacting’ to the events of 9/11.” To further his argument Chaney and his daughter Liz go on to say: The Obama administration has “clearly … moved in the direction of taking robust action when they feel it is justified,” Cheney said. Cheney’s daughter, Liz Cheney, went a step further, saying Obama “in effect said that we had walked away from (America’s) ideals.” “I think he did tremendous damage,” Liz Cheney said. “I think he slandered the nation and I think he owes an apology to the American people.” What say you? Has Barack Obama proved to be a hypocrite? Source

New Study Shows That Cheating Husbands Suffer More Penile Fractures For “Doing Sex” In Weird Places

They do studies on anything these days: Affairs may do more than break hearts — they may break penises as well, a new study says. Sex outside marriage, and sex that occurs under out-of-the-norm circumstances, may increase the risk of penile fractures, said study researcher said Dr. Andrew Kramer, a urologist at the University of Maryland Medical Center. The heightened risk appears to be due to the unconventional situations, and consequently, locations, surrounding sexual acts, the researchers said. Men in the study who had suffered penis fractures commonly were having sex in unusual settings, including in restrooms or at work, when the injury occurred. The majority were having extramarital affairs. In such atypical situations, sex may be rushed and involve unusual or awkward sexual positions, Kramer said. “All these factors could make the man less able to protect his penis from an unexpected sudden downward thrust leading to the fracture,” Kramer said. A penile facture, or “broken penis,” is an injury that occurs to the erect penis. There are no bones in the penis; the “fracture” refers to tearing or laceration of a fibrous membrane called the tunica albuginea, which surrounds the spongy tissue in the center of the penis. A “fracture” is followed by hemorrhaging, swelling and loss of erection. While previous research has focused on the physiological mechanism of the facture, and how to surgically treat it, no study has looked at exactly what men were doing when they broke their penises. Kramer’s study aimed to fill this gap. Kramer studied 16 cases of penile fractures treated at the University of Maryland Hospital between 2004 and 2011. He reported the findings in the Journal of Sexual Medicine. Source

Troy Davis Funeral Set And Witness Speaks Out “He’s Innocent” [Video]

Troy Davis funeral is being held today: A funeral service is set for Saturday morning for Troy Davis, a convicted cop killer who was executed despite pleas by many that he was actually innocent. The funeral service at Jonesville Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia, is being billed by organizers as a celebration of Davis’ life. Ministers, activists and NAACP President Ben Jealous are among those scheduled to speak at the event. The event is open to the public. Davis was put to death by lethal injection last week for the 1989 killing of an off-duty police officer in Savannah. His case had drawn international attention because of the many critics who thought Davis was innocent. The case had been battled in many courtrooms before his execution. A jury and several judges on appeal determined that Davis killed Savannah police officer Mark MacPhail in 1989. Spencer Lawton, Davis’ prosecutor, has said the case withstood every legal challenge but couldn’t win the battle of public opinion. Former President Jimmy Carter, who along with Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Pope Benedict XVI was among the most influential voices calling for clemency, said as much in his statement after Davis’ lethal injection. “If one of our fellow citizens can be executed with so much doubt surrounding his guilt, then the death penalty system in our country is unjust and outdated. We hope this tragedy will spur us as a nation toward the total rejection of capital punishment,” Carter wrote. Click Here To See The Witness Say She Thinks Troy Davis Is Innocent!!

Our Marriage Meltdown and the Media’s New Attack On Black Women

Fox News. The Los Angeles Times. The New York Times. The Wall Street Journal. These are just a few of the publications that have jumped on the media bandwagon, singing all praises to the controversial new book: “Is Marriage for White People? How the African American Marriage Decline Affects Everyone.” Penned by an African-American professor of law at Stanford University, Ralph Richard Banks uses his book to recommend succinctly that successful black women look outside the black race to marry. He suggests that this is a far better road to take than “marrying down,” or remaining alone. Citing many personal observations and analyzes of relationship data, Banks makes the case that there is no reason for highly successful black women to remain dedicated to the black man. In fact, he argues that many of the social ills in African-American society can be ameliorated by high-earning black women “marrying out,” thereby creating more stable two-parent homes for black children.
